6:35pm.
The sun was nearing to on another lovely day. Long shadows slowly begin to cover the streets and the houses next to it. Inside a brown house was a bat. She has just gotten out of the shower, wrapping herself in a bright yellow towel.
She went to the big mirror in her bathroom, taking a hairbrush to... brush her hair. She hummed a small tune to herself as she brushed and combed herself before drying her head with a blow-dryer.
She put away her towel after drying her body, then walked out to her room. She was naked, but since she was an animal in a world filled with animals, clothes are not really the norm. I'm making it up on the spot, both source materials have the character not wearing clothes save for a few.
She put on her hat (it's a hat in this) before putting a hot pink bow on the top left side of her head. She looked herself in the mirror. She looked adorable.
Her phone vibrated on her bed. She picked it up and read the text.
"I'm down the street. See you son, babe *kissing emoji*"
A smile began to grow on the bat's face. She put away her phone before she walked down the stairs. Going into the living room, a pink rabbit sat in a red chair, reading a darker red book. She looked up to see her housemate/best friend. A sly smile appeared on her face.
"Going somewhere, Elma?" Carl (yes, her name is Carl) asked, "Could it somewhere romantic?"
"What makes you think it's romantic?" Elma grumbled.
Carl gestured over to the bow.
"What other occasion would you wear that bow so you would be more cuter than before?"
Elma crossed her arms and blushed.
"You know, pictures..."
Ding dong!
The doorbell rang. Both girls looked at the front door, the bat smiling brightly.
"Eeee! He's here!" Elma said excitingly.
She turns to see the smug face from Carl. She gave her a dirty look... Elma gave Carl one in case you were confused. The bat walked to the door, the smile reappeared. She opened the door to a yellow dog. He had big eyes, long ears, wearing a red bowtie, and he's holding bouquet of roses.
"Hey, Elma," Chikn said, handing the flowers to Elma, "are you ready?"
"Oh, Chikn, you didn't have to," said Elma as she took the flowers, "Seriously, you didn't have to."
"Oh, I'm so sorry!"
"No, no, it's okay! Just going to need to find a place for these."
"Don't worry, I got them," Carl said as she got up and took the flowers from her best friend before walking away, "You two have fun now. Don't get too crazy."
"Carl!" Elma yelled, blushing.
Elma turned to Chikn, smiling once more.
"So, what's for tonight?" Elma asked her date.
"Well," Chikn started, "I was thinking of a movie, followed by a romantic dinner, and to finish it all up by watching the sunset."
"That's sounds lovely!"
Elma took Chikn's arm as they walked out of the door together. They took a long walk to the movie theater, talking about what they did the past week. Chikn talked about hanging with his friends, and Elma talked about the latest TV show she and Carl just watched. They reached the movie theater and walked up to the ticket counter where a blue squirrel was working there.
"Hello there," Filbert said with a big smile on his face, "how may I help you today?"
"Two tickets to A Lone Peach, please." Chikn said.
"Date night?" Filbert inquired.
"Yeah...," Elma answered, wrapping her hands (or paws or whatever bat has) around Chikn's arm and put her head on his shoulder.
"Ugh, lovebirds," said a furry green grouch behind them in the line, "Yuck."
Chikn and Elma turned around to give him a look before turning back to Filbert, who was handing them their tickets. Chikn handed him the cash and the couple walk into the building.
"Enjoy the show, you two!" Filbert said to the lovebirds while Oscar gagged to himself before walking to the ticket counter.
Chikn and Elma got into the theater room just as the previews were about to end. They took their seats, next to each other, of course. They would have gotten themselves, but they didn't spoil they were going to have afterward. For the next hour and three quarters, the two watched a love story between a plumber and a princess, hugging each other in the process.
After the movie, the bat and dog walk out of the movie theater, laughing with each other. Filbert turned to them as they walked out.
"How was the movie?" Filbert asked, smiling.
"It was great!" replied Elma, a huge smile on her face.
After a small walk, they reached the restaurant. It was a giant ship in the bottle. They walked up to the hostess stand, hand in hand.
"Reservation?" the server asked the couple.
"Chikn Nuggit." replied... Chikn Nuggit.
The server looked down their list, looking for Chikn's name. After a moment, he found the name.
"Ah, here we are! Chikn Nuggit. Follow me."
The server led the couple to a table of two. After seating them, the server gave them their menus.
"May I interest you in some champagne?" the server asked.
"Yes, please." Elma replied.
The server left before returning with a couple of glasses and champagne. He set the glasses down and poured their drinks. He left the table afterward, leaving Chikn and Elma to their menus. While looking through the menu, they began to chat, talking about how great this night has been so far.
After a moment, the server returned to the table.
"Are you two ready to make your order?" the server asked.
"I'll have the steak," Elma answered, "Medium rare."
"And I'll have the chicken breast," Chikn added.
The server took their orders and left. The bat and dog continue their conversion, sipping their champagne. They laugh, they joke, and soon, they were leaning close to each other.
But before they could kiss, their food arrive. The began to cut and eat your meals. They continue to chat, in between bites, of course. Later, they finished their food. When the server put the bill on table, Chikn took out his credit card.
"Oh, Chikn, you don't have to!" Elma said to her date, "I'll pay for this one!"
"No, no, I'll pay," Chikn replied.
"Nooo..."
Elma stopped when she saw the look on Chikn's face. He was REALLY insistant on paying. Elma cleared her throat. Afterwards, dinner was paid off. The couple walked out of the restaurant together.
"So, where are we going to watch the sunset?" inquired the bat.
"Oh, don't worry," the dog replied, "I have just the place. May I?"
Elma looked at her date, confused.
"Um, sure. What are you...?"
Chikn pulled his tail, causing his long ears to move like helicopter blades, cause that's what happens in Chikn Nuggit. Just as he left the ground by a few centimeters, Chikn wraps paws around Elma. And then they flew off.
"Wow...," Elma said as her eyes sparkled, "this is beautiful...!"
On a bench, a fat italian with a red hat and shirt and blue overalls was eating spaghetti when he looked up to see a dog flying holding some sort of bat? He looked confused but shrugged it off and continuing his spaghetti. Also, this is SMG4 Mario in case you were probably not wondering.
Soon, the couple landed on a cliffside. It was mostly close off from the close hiking trail. You can still get access to it, but it'll be very, very hard to do so. Chikn let go of Elma as she turned to him.
"I know you were really sad after losing your wing to that... monster," Chikn said, rubbing the back of his head, "So I thought you would be happy if I help you fly with my weird abilities."
She stared at him before rushing at him and hugging him tightly. She was crying tears of joy.
"That was the best part of tonight!" Elma exclaimed, tears rolling down her cheeks onto her date's shoulder, "Thank you so much...!"
She then kissed him on the cheek. Blushing, Chikn looked at her surprised, before hugging her back. After the hug, the two let go of each other and next to each other on the cliffside. Staring at the setting sun, the couple hold each other's hands/paws.
Elma turn to Chikn, and Chikn did as well. The two smile at each other.
"This might be the best night I ever had." Elma said.
"The best night so far." Chikn replied.
They then lean each other and kiss. They pull each other close as their lips met.
"Ugh, gross!"
Chikn and Elma stopped kissing and turned to see grouch from earlier gagging to himself. They gave him a look.
"Seriously, get a room you two! Not everyone wants to see you express love for each other."
"How did you even get up here?" Chikn asked him.
Oscar looked around himself.
"Huh...," said Oscar, "That is good question..."
They spent a moment looking at each other, with Chikn and Elma giving him a deapan look.
"... can you two please take me home?"
It was dark out. Chikn and Elma were walking through the bat's neighborhood after taking Oscar back to his trash can. They had reached the end of Elma and Carl's house's walkway.
"You sure this will be a good idea?" Chikn asked his date.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure," Elma replied to him, "Carl won't come back til tomorrow night."
I don't how hospital work hours work.
Chikn hesitantly nod before they walk up to the front door. Elma opened the door and walked inside before turning around to her date.
"I had a wonderful night. Thank you very much." Elma said before giving Chikn a peck on the cheek.
Chikn blushed and rubbed the back of his head when the bat girl dragged him inside the house and closed the door behind him. She did the "shh" gesture to Chikn and he nodded in response. They started to sneak up the stairs. They reached halfway there when:
"I left some condoms on the end table for you two." Carl called from the kitchen.
"Carl!" Elma yelled as she and Chikn both blushed.
"What? I'm just looking out for you two." Carl said, walking into the room, giving her best friend a sly smile, "Goodnight you two. Make good choices~. Heh heh heh."
"G-goodnight," Chikn said sheepishly as the pink bunny left the house to her medical job.
10 minutes later...
Chikn and Elma sat under the covers next to each other. They had taken off the accessorites they put on for their date when they got inside Elma's room. Chikn took off his contacts and put them on the end table. He turned to Elma, blushing.
"Well, uh," Chikn started, "Th-thanks for letting me spend the night here."
"Of course!" Elma said, blushing as well, "You gave me an incredible night tonight, and I experienced flying once more! I couldn't thank you enough!"
Elma pulls Chikn close to her and kissed him, causing him to turn red as a tomato. He turns off the lights and he and Elma snuggled with each other. They soon drift to sleep in each other's arms.
They cerntainly had an incredible night.
