Prologue – UCPW Wednesday 11/27/2024 (taped on 11/20/2024)
Last week, in an exclusive interview, Asuna Yuuki was upset. Following her win over Konoka Konoe, she was met with Tampa Fight Club, only for Farra Stevens to shake her hand and call off the possible attack.
(Interviewer): Congrats on winning your match and advancing to the Finals, but… Farra Stevens gave you a chilling message. And she called off what was about to happen.
Asuna explained, "Farra Stevens is a lot of things… but I know she's a bully, more than anything else. And I don't believe her story. So, she says that she wants to win this Grand Tournament alone? How's this? Next week, she and I meet face-to-face… and she can bring her band of wolves with her. Because next week, we're not in Vancouver. Not yet."
Glynda was at the table, as she said, "Folks, Survivor Series is 3 days away, but what a huge card we have. We know that at Blood and Guts WarGames, it's OG Bloodline vs. The Bloodline (under Kandy Potter)! Lara Gonzalez, Konoka Konoe, Setsuna Sakurazaki, Satsuki Kiryuin, and Ran Kotobuki take on Kandy Potter, Neo Politan, Nodoka Miyazaki, Haruna Fatu, and The Cos-Zilla herself, Tsumugi Shirogane."
Sajuna said, "But also, Women's WarGames happen. Haruko Haruhara was taken out, leaving the team of Kotori Minami, Yui Hirasawa, Mashiro, & Chiaki Nanami needing a fifth woman against Mami Tomoe, Umi Sonoda, Kaede Akamatsu, Susan Hatton, and Hidomi Hibajiri."
(Glynda): Haruko was taken out last Friday, in the parking lot, presumably by The Glorious Power's Mami Tomoe, I believe. But speaking of Hirasawa, Women's Grand Tournament Finals are set! Yui Hirasawa vs. Hijiri Utagawa! Winner gets a future Women's Championship Opportunity for one full year, anytime, anywhere!
(Sajuna): And likewise the Superstars' Grand Tournament–.
Asuna's theme plays, as she marches into the ring. She runs into the ring and grabs a microphone.
(Sajuna): I was gonna say, Asuna Yuuki isn't wasting any time. She has Farra Stevens, this Saturday in Vancouver!
"Cut the music!" Asuna boomed. "Farra Stevens! I'm here! You and your club… We'll meet face-to-face!"
Eri Sawachika's theme plays, as she hops around the stage.
(Sajuna): That's not Farra Stevens…
(Glynda): Asuna did say, last week, she wants ALL of Tampa Fight Club; preferably Farra Stevens, after last week's shocking, yet confusing display. Yuuki was left speechless, after Farra Stevens congratulated her, and called off a possible attack by Tampa Fight Club.
She held a microphone and boomed, "I'm not Farra Stevens, but I'm just introducing her. We all agreed… This… is just business!
MY NAME! IS Eri Sawachika! And I am a certified G! And a Real 1! And you CAN'T! TEACH! THAT!"
The fans booed, as she called, "BADABOOM, REALEST CLUB IN THE ROOM! HOW YA DOIN'?"
The Death Riders' theme plays, as Tampa Fight Club appear on the stage.
(Glynda): And here they are… Stevens, Sakurai, Cy, & Hanajima. Five of the most dangerous women in UCPW! And in three nights, it's Stevens vs. Yuuki in the Finals of this year's Superstars' Grand Tournament! And these ladies want the same thing – The JWW Championship!
(Sajuna): And Farra Stevens looks to challenge for a World Title she's never competed for in her career. And in her words, it's her last chance. She's one win away.
(Glynda): Likewise Asuna Yuuki, who has a chance to regain the Universal Title she lost, in such a short time. Remember, the winner of the Finals gets a World Championship opportunity of their choice, for one full year.
(Sajuna): No matter what, they could challenge for the JWW Title, NXT Title, or UCPW Title. But it all depends on who wins.
Farra and Asuna stared down, as Farra got a microphone. Farra nodded and said, "Ladies, stand down. This is between me and her." The crowd booed, as she continued, "Asuna Yuuki, what do you take me for? An idiot? I'm not stupid. The only reason I challenged you for the Grand Tournament is because I want you at your best. I'm not here to jump you… Not yet."
Asuna Yuuki said to her, "You are a lot of things, Stevens… And being one of the all-time greats is exact. And that's the only thing you are, in a high status. The lowest thing you have ever said… is because you wanted to tear JWW down! I mean, think about it! Last year, you had issues with Power X Girls Z, and the Power Punks are holding the fort for Tampa Fight Club… except where are they now? And after you blew off your steam, especially with the Tag Team Championship, you decided to go after the holy grail in our sport."
Farra stated, "You got it all wrong, Asuna. I'm not here to ruin JWW… Do you know how long it's been since I won a World Title? 4 and a half years… and it will be five, because I have a whole year to do it, provided I win! I beat D-Mob, a man that is retiring next year, for the Universal Title at WrestleMania! And that was the last time I ever held that world title."
Asuna joked, "And it was the lowest of lows, Stevens… You won at WrestleMania… in an empty house!" the fans went "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!"
(Sajuna): She's right.
NOTE: Farra Stevens won the Universal Title to D-Mob at WrestleMania 36 in 2020. The match was in the Performance Center in an empty arena, during the COVID-19 Pandemic. She would lose the title to The Fiend Yu Wyatt at SummerSlam, months later.
Farra was annoyed, as Asuna said, "And that ate you inside. Winning two matches, in one night, in an empty arena. And that burned you up. That was the worst thing you ever did, other than a lot of things… other than what you did to Power X Girls Z, other than what you did to Triple H not long ago, other than your hated rivalry with Peter Giese and many others, and other than your pathetic excuse of students, like Asahi Sakurai and Saki Hanajima! And I beat you reprogrammed Cy to join your side!"
Cy disagreed, as she called out, "I did not!"
Asuna continued, "And you know what else? Ever since last year, Lara Gonzalez was a hard-hitting favorite to win, and get revenge on The Legend Himself! But she didn't… and what you did to Lara Gonzalez, like what happened to Cinder Fall, to Pyra & Mythra, to everyone that was in the path of your destructive power, you think we'd allow you access to the JWW Championship? The only thing you'll do is disgrace our sport! Four and half years means nothing! And to make it into the Grand Tournament, this year, it's just another way to say that–!"
"I'M DOING THIS FOR MY OWN GOOD!" Farra hollered. "YOU THINK I GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOUR PREACHING? The only reason I want the JWW Championship… is because it's the only title left to finish my career… especially if it's my one shot. If I beat you, I can challenge Neo or Kitagawa, or anybody that's a champion! But if I lose… then what?" She paused, as she stepped back. She was upset, as she barked, "If I lose, then what? Pack up? Leave? I… I have one shot. I never won The Grand Tournament. I lost not once… but twice! And in many appearances, I didn't bounce back. But after last week, it took me 15 years to get back to the Finals… And if it means going through you, so be it. You have your issues, I have mine. Dawn is done with us… as long as she's champion. But I'm not quitting. Tampa Fight Club was formed to fight the darkness… only to realize that we're overshadowed! The Judgment Day, The Bloodline, and every other stable, they think they run this company? I will not be ignored! WE! Will not be ignored!"
She went into Asuna's face, "The only reason I didn't snap my fingers and sic my friends on you is because I want you at your best. And I want it right… I got nothing else at Survivor Series… and at Vancouver, I will prove myself if this is my final chance. If not… What happens next? You and I are from different worlds. But the difference between you and me is this… I've done this for decades, and I never bow to defeat. I don't walk away. I get back up! Tampa Fight Club was formed to make a statement! My only goal, before all this, was to make history! And I sat back… and watched others leap over me! Names like Marin Kitagawa, Neo Politan, and you… and then there's Chelsea, then Subaru Mikage, then Mercury Black, and then there was The Judgment Day, Delia Priest, Chiaki Nanami, even Lara Gonzalez… and I'll be damned if I say this… even Dawn!"
The fans booed, as Farra was wiping her tears. She was furious, but spoke from the heart. "I have done this for nearly 35 years. To compete, and to win the one thing that I have NEVER done in my career… And I'm not quitting… until I have proven myself. This isn't about JWW! This is about me! And I will not lose this one, not this time… except if you want me to kneel and admit defeat… then you'd have to kill me first!"
The fans cheered, as Asuna Yuuki said to her, "I still don't buy it. If you want this so badly, if you want Neo or Marin, or anybody with the title, you'd go through me. JWW Galaxy agrees with me. This is one tournament you cannot win… … …like before."
They stared down, as Farra nodded, "So it's come to this. Lemme tell you something, kid. If you want to be a legend in JWW, you'd have to beat the best. And yes… You were champion before. But here's hoping you have had a short-lived reign, again."
Asuna said, "No, the truth is… If you do beat me, JWW will die. By that, I mean win the JWW Championship! If you somehow win, Saturday night, and then win the JWW Championship later on, then everything we worked hard on, what we built in the history of Joshi Wrestling, in JWW… Everything will be destroyed. Because of washed-up women, like you.
But if I win, then I want the JWW Title… except…" she had a thought, "Suppose I said to Megu-nee or Reine that I'm not interested in JWW? How about if I go after Dawn? Or maybe go to NXT and challenge Mercury Black OR Courtney Lowee? Or maybe I can do, what you can never do in your life – challenge The Ring General, Yuri Gunther?" They cheered, "And let's face it, you want the JWW Title, but… how's this for a shocker? If I win, maybe I'll cash in my Grand Tournament shot… for the UCPW Championship… at WrestleMania!"
They cheered wildly. Asuna concluded, "And that would burn you, knowing that I'd steal your thunder. Face it, Stevens! No one believes you… but many still do. So word of warning: Retire while you still can."
"I'll retire… when I'm dead." Farra boomed. They stared down, as Asahi Sakurai entered the ring.
The rest of Tampa Fight Club surrounded Asuna. Farra looked around and said, "NO!" They stepped back, "This is not what we promised! Asuna Yuuki fights at 100%. I want her to be at her fullest in Vancouver."
They stepped out of the ring, as Farra said, "This Saturday, Survivor Series, I'm going to show you how much you have left to reach, before you get that goal. And I will win the Grand Tournament, and finally put an end to my drama. Because I want the JWW Championship. But Asuna, when I win… There's only one question for me, if and when I get a JWW Championship… It's where, when, and which."
She called out, "Ladies, withdraw! See you Saturday!" She dropped the microphone and they left through the crowd, leaving Asuna Yuuki confused.
(Sajuna): And The Death Riders take their leave… once again sparing Yuuki.
(Glynda): You may not believe Farra's words, but she's right. This could be Farra Stevens' final opportunity at the World Title. If Stevens wins, she gets a JWW Championship for one full year, but the question remains – who will she face, if she wins?
(Sajuna): And Asuna Yuuki wanting to make sure that JWW keeps its status in check.
(Glynda): Survivor Series: War Games, this Saturday!
