They don't tell Jessica anything else.
Taking his quib for a joke, she makes them pack up and leave the office and they don't even pretend that they are not headed towards the same apartment.
Saying their goodbyes to the other woman, he takes her hand and leads her into the hallway. Her head comes to rest against his shoulder while she glues herself to his side completely.
Jessica can't help but smile, glad they can't see her anymore. They are cute, probably made for each other and she plans on telling them her thoughts one day. But tomorrow she first needs to be the boss who needs to have a mandatory conversation about dating someone in the same office.
As soon as they step into the elevator and the door closes behind them he breaks away slightly and turns to face her. He knows she's tough, needs to be to handle him and his shit on a daily basis. Still, he noticed how her confidence seemed to have wavered again when his mentor ordered them to see her as soon as they came to work the next day.
"You okay?" His free hand brushes her cheek softly. He'd like to kiss her but they are still at their workplace surrounded by security cameras and he thinks they unwillingly revealed enough of their relationship tonight.
"Yeah. Don't worry" And she's not lying.
Being caught by Jessica like that hat rattled her, because she had planned to have anyone know about them on her own terms. She wanted the other woman to know because she told her in actual words. She wanted to be seen as the professional that doesn't use company time for private make out sessions.
But so what? Jessica hadn't actually seen them making out, or sharing a kiss for that matter. All that happened was them taking a much needed break after working for hours and they just happened to spend that break in each others' personal space.
And she plans on doing so more often. It might be a quick kiss to wish him luck before he'd leave for court or a simple touch to make sure he knows she's there. Typical behavior of two mature people in a serious, committed relationship.
So, yes, she's alright.

He takes her home then. Well, his condo, but it doesn't really matter. It has only been two official weeks, but he has a key to her place just as she does to his. And since the evening he came over to talk the first time, they haven't spent the night alone again.
Her first stop is his bedroom to get rid of the designer dress she's been confined in the whole day. He follows, already taking off his tie and suit jacket, and he's pretty sure he's in love when she without hesitation opens his closet and emerges with one of his old Harvard shirts.
She has some of her own clothes here. There are at least a handful of her dresses scattered in between his suits, two pairs of heels sitting by the front door and underwear and sleepwear in his drawer. Still she loves to lounge around his apartment in nothing but one of his shirts. Her favorite is the one she just pulled from his closet, but he knows she also loves slipping on the dress shirt he only just discarded and still smells like him.
And since all of their nights as of now ended with him peeling his shirt off her body later on neither of them is even sure why she brought over any of her sleepwear at all.
While she goes to take off her makeup he heats up the leftover pasta from last night. Immersed in files over files they had not eaten anything since she shared the piece of strawberry cake she'd saved from lunch. He'd have cooked something, at least tried to, but it's late and he's not even sure if his apartment gave enough ingredients for more than pancakes or waffles. And he needs those for breakfast.
They eat in comfortable conversation, laughing and stealing kisses so often that by the time they finish, their dinner has long gone cold again. After, she leaves to clear the dishes and load them into the dishwasher. She refuses his help, even though he points out it's his apartment and she tells him to shut up because he took care of making dinner, so she'll take care of cleaning. Also, she has a key, spends at least half her week in the condo, every room has traces of her in it, so is it really only his place anymore?
There has been no talk about moving in together, of course not, they are only doing this officially and romantically for two weeks. The way she needed a whole month to even consider giving him this chance at a relationship in the first place neither of them are in any hurry here. The baby seems like there is a time frame placed upon their relationship, telling them how fast or slow they need to take certain steps. But they have both realized that for them it doesn't matter. They haven't been ordinary from the moment they met.
They are not even sure yet if keeping the baby is the best idea for them at this stage in life. And if they decide to do raise their child and become a family she doesn't mind if they are not living together or aren't married when she gives birth. If they are headed towards any of those milestones, then they happen when the time is right. And if they don't, she'll learn to live with it, too.
"How exhausted are you?" He calls from the bedroom, where he uses the time she's busy to collect the clothing he needs to drop off at the cleaner tomorrow. "Do you want to watch some TV or you want to go straight to bed?"
She can't help but smile at his question. She knows that he knows that she might be incredibly tired. Too tired even, to follow along with any book or show or movie. But she also knows that going to bed doesn't mean going to sleep, because as much as she is sure this won't last forever, she has as of yet never been too exhausted to have sex until a time where they really should have been asleep some hours ago.
"Maybe for a little while" She answers and hears him come out of the bedroom.
She feels his eyes on her for a moment when he stops to watch her from behind. Then he moves over to the sofa. It only takes a moment before the apartment is filled with the soft moises of some rich reality show neither of them would dare to be caught dead in any given moment. But for tonight it's the perfect program and she loves that he figured that out without her having to say anything.
They have been close from the very beginning, understanding each other without words. They trust each other with their own lives if it would come to that. That has never been in question, romantically involved or not.
The fact that he took one look at the shoulders that are not giving off the relaxed vibe as much as she intends them to and not only knew what she needed but made the conscious effort to provide it for her. That's what makes her heart skip a beat and intensifies her belief that she made the right choice when she gave him a chance when she did.
She takes their glasses that she didn't put in the dishwasher and refills them from the pitcher in the fridge. She joins him on the couch then, pressing into his side immediately. Her head is again resting in the crook of his neck while his arm snakes around her body, pulling her even closer, hand resting lightly in her hip.
This is how they spend the next twenty minutes, both of them in comfortable silence while the stupid drama unfolding on the TV screen doesn't capture their attention but creates much needed distraction all the same. After the fifth fight in as many minutes he feels her take a deep breath and waits patiently for her to start talking. To start telling him what's on her mind. He won't push, but he told her more than once since they met that she can come to him with whatever she needs. He really hopes she hasn't forgotten that now that they are together.
"What if Jessica is going to fire me tomorrow?" She finally asks. She turns more fully into him, folds her legs under her properly and rests her chin on his shoulder to look at his face.
"She wouldn't do that" He reassures her. The hand that's not still resting at her hip to keep her close reaches over, turning off the TV and he starts playing with her hair.
"How can you be so sure?" Her voice doesn't waver, neither did it get quieter. She's not unsure of herself or unconfident. Rather, she's just curious. And not only about his answer but the whole situation in general. She didn't get where she is today by doubting her every decision or fighting for what she wants.
"Because she can't afford to lose me" It's so matter of fact, that she can't help but laugh. He's pleased with himself, that he successfully managed to relax her.
"You're an idiot" She tells him just as factually. She drops a kiss against his shoulder where she lets her lips linger for a moment. Then she turns serious again. "You won't be resigning though"
They both know that he'd follow her anywhere and that she'd obviously do the same thing with him. But she would not let him make the mistake of ruining his career just because he's stupid. The law firm is the best in the city and he's bound to make a fast and impressive career there. With or without her.
Of course, she'd rather prefer it be with her, but now that she has him right here next to her without boundaries, she thinks they might be willing to go on with their lives without working together. Only if absolutely necessary of course.
"Good thing Jessica won't fire you then" He kisses her hair, her cheek, feels the corner of her mouth lift in a small smile before kissing her lips, too.
They kiss for a long moment in which she climbs into his lap without ever breaking contact. When she pulls back to take some much needed breaths he finds her eyes and looks directly at them when he speaks next. "Donna, you are the best legal secretary in New York, probably this whole country. You know that, I know that and Jessica knows that, too. So don't worry" His voice is soft and reassuring. Then, he adds with a smirk. "I did not only hire you because you have a pretty face, you know"
She rolls her eyes first, before raising one brow in his direction and fixing him with a look.
"I said 'not only'" He defends before swallowing her answering laugh in another kiss.
This time their kiss propels them into bed rather quickly.

"Jessica is so going to fire me" She calls from the bathroom where she's putting on her makeup.
"We've been over this already" He comes to lean in the doorway, knotting his tie. She finds his gaze in the mirror already watching her.
"That was the conversation about before she knows I'm pregnant" Her lipstick finds its way among the rest of her makeup next to his sink and she sees his eyes following the item. His eyes go a little softer and she knows he likes the way she's already taking up space in his home. It's just another reminder that he's growing.
"Then we don't tell her?" He stands up straighter and quickly lifts his eyes to hers when she turns around and approaches him.
"We can't do that, and you know it" She reaches up and fixes his tie where he'd gotten distracted in doing so himself. She places a soft kiss on his lips before moving around him to go in search of that breakfast he had promised was waiting for her ten minutes ago. "You do know that I can see you in that mirror when you're checking out my ass, don't you?"
Just for that, he promises himself to not avert his gaze the next time she turns around when he's shamelessly looking at her.

They arrive at their floor together but separately, heading straight towards Jessica's office. He has a hard time not reaching for her but even if this meeting is about them being together nobody else knows yet and maybe they should keep it this way at least until said meeting is over.
Jessica greets them friendly enough that if she hadn't sent them home with such an ominous last sentence yesterday they wouldn't at all be nervous. But they are, because despite what Harvey had said being face to face with his mentor is way more intense than just thinking about the situation.
Jessica also doesn't beat around the bush.
"I am supposed to talk to you about conflict of interest and preferential treatment, but since we're talking about you and, more importantly, the woman I hired because you literally refused to come otherwise, I guess I can save my breath on that." Relationship or not, he was always going to treat Donna differently than anyone else here.
"What do you mean you're supposed to?" And if neither woman knew better they'd say he is scared of the answer.
"Figure of speech" Jessica decides to take pity on him. "Don't worry, I didn't tell Daniel"
They visibly relax at the same time and Jessica watches with interest as their hands find each other and intertwine effortlessly and seemingly without them consciously being aware of the action. They are cute and she hates to burst their bubble, but she does so all the same.
"That's because you are going to do that"
"Is this really necessary?" Harvey almost whines. He has a relationship with Jessica and he wasn't all that thrilled to have to tell her at first. But Daniel Hardman was a different story altogether. He hated Harvey and there was no way either of them would still be working here by lunch if they went to see him about this right now.
"It is" Donna answers before Jessica even has the time to think about saying anything. "But we don't have to tell him directly. Jessica wants us to go through the proper channels and have this on official record. He can hear it from HR"
Jessica is impressed. She's come to notice Donna is good at what she does, but the redhead hasn't been at the firm long enough for Jessica to have a real image of the woman. She decides on the spot that she likes Donna. For the firm and for the lawyer. Harvey's finally found himself a smart one.
"Donna's right" Jessica eventually says after giving the two of them a moment to themselves. "We are a highly respected law firm. There will be no secret love affairs or gossip about the possibly happening one." Not to mention that having their relationship on paper prevents some rumors about preferential treatment, because everyone would know that a promotion or pay raise had not been authorized by him.
All in all, it's not a bad idea. There's just one more little detail they need to update Jessica on before anyone else is able to notice. The woman is just trying to help them prevent some of the outcome of them accidentally being exposed one day. They think it's only fair to meet her in the middle.
And so Donna just tells her outright that she is pregnant. Jessica, for her part, doesn't even try to pretend to do the math and figure out how that would have happened in barely two weeks. She only raises an eyebrow, leans back in her chair and waits for one of them to tell her which one of them lied to her first.
Harvey when he told her there was nothing going on when she hired them both. Or Donna last night when she claimed their relationship was only two weeks old.
"I know how this sounds" Donna is the one brave enough to start and no one is really surprised by that. "But there is a whole story that, hopefully, makes all this make sense"
After another long hour they leave Jessica's office still employed and ready to get back to work.
