The Boy Savior
"You don't even know her name, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HER NAME" she exasperates. She's not understanding all the feelings that are enveloping this body, her body, Jinx's Body. Every pour, crevice and crack on her skin is wrapped in a new found sadness, unleashing an ocean of un-filtered emotions echoing through the room. The boy sits completely unsure of what to do at this point. He just stares helplessly watching as years worth of pain smash into this small girl like a tidal wave and there are no life preservers for him to throw. More time begins to click on. She finally sits, defeated at this point she humbly mentions " I want to go home, I want back, I never should have come".
She turns to now face the wooden wall, her back to the door, in attempts to hide away and make the world smaller. Ekko with slight hesitation drops his gloved hand on her shoulder, instantly she pulls back "No don't, I want to go home this isn't right this isn't real". Ekko feels at this point the only thing he can do now is give her some time. So, he takes the first steps out the door.
Down he walks to the bottom of his tall lonely home, looking back up to where the girl sits, hanging in her little box, hiding away from the world that she herself decided to come to, searching for what he now thinks. Why did she come here, he never even got to ask. All he knows now is he's got to figure out a way to get her back. Jayce is gone, Hextech is in disarray, Heimer's who knows what exactly is he to do. The city and its people are in absolute confusion on its next steps. There was a war just a few hours ago. Ekko himself has no idea where to start.
The Girl Lost in Time
Left with the emptiness and the silence she stares at the wall, counting the individual circles and cracks in the grain of wood. Wondering how long the tree would have had to grow, just to be chopped up to build this lone room. Jinx…Powder…She fights back and forth in her head not understanding who she is anymore. She knows this isn't her story; she has lived a completely different life, but somehow this body knows the trauma and harbors the pain. As if this body has been waiting, bottled just sitting like a time bomb, and now that she's come in with a clearer mind it's taking over, uncorking itself. These pent up feelings, this rage, this madness she's aware this isn't her, but she understands how it could be. That scares her.
She hasn't had these kinds of feelings since VI died, but in this world Vi is alive and yet he doesn't even want to see her. She just wants to go. She just wants to leave, back to the world she was originally in. A few hours goes by and the boy returns .He has had time to think over what has taken place, he may not understand what to do about the situation they're in, but he knows it's his job now to try to fix it and he thinks he has a mild idea.
He opens the door to the wooden room up in the tree house and takes his first step in, looking at the fact that she hasn't moved. She's still sitting in the same seated position facing the wall away from him. Not even a twitch or turn in response to the door being opened and someone walking in. He inhales to prepare himself to just say one world "Powder"
The Boy Savior
She doesn't react, he didn't really expect her to, all too aware that this new found information has to be a lot to suddenly be thrust into. Everybody that she has gotten to grow up with, everyone she got to see and love, in this world are now dead. Long gone, long before she even got the opportunity to come here. He can't even imagine the mental crawling she has had to do just to attempt to understand this world's reality. All he can do is hope for her sanity and focus on getting her home.
He walks over, and puts his gloved hand on her shoulder again. She doesn't react like last time, not even to speak. "Powder, I'm sorry I know this is hard but we are going to figure this out" he very calmly states hoping to settle the frail girl. Her shoulders slightly drop but she is still not responding. He takes this opportunity to sit down behind her, pressing his back against hers providing support. "Look I know this is insane, I'm sorry I even came to your universe, I'm sorry you even found out about this possibility, but we will fix this. We will get you home." Ekko says mustering all the confidence he can into his words.
She sighs, allowing her head to fall back on his shoulder now looking straight up. "Ekko, I don't know if i can take this, I don't want to feel this" she sputters. Ekko drops his head forward a bit, understanding her depression. It hurts him to hear her say this, it hurts him the sadness and exhaustion in her voice. She hasn't even fought this fight but yet he's aware she can somehow feel it. Is it permeating through Jinx's body he wonders. Jinx who was a product of circumstance Jinx who's destructive explosion runs through her veins, " Okay Powder we have got to take the first steps forward, it's going to take some time but we will do this again. Time to use our favorite twins" Ekko states standing up from the bed turning to face the back of the girl.
Powder turns, throwing her legs over the side of the piled fabric looking up to make eye contact with the boy. "Madness and Genius the sickest of pairs" she disdainfully speaks.
