Daiki and Jay-Jay head to Daiki's mom's house, and Becca, Reika, and Mo Han accompany them.
"Thanks for accepting our invitation, Daiki," Reika said, her tone filled with gratitude. "We owe you one."
"Nonsense," Daiki interjected. "My mom loves y'all and enjoys the company we all bring. Besides, as she said you all are keeping an eye on me, and cooking for y'all is the least she can do."
Mo Han lightly chuckles. "For you to be so powerful, your mother still looks at you like a baby."
Daiki groans. "Tell me about it. If anything, I should be worrying given her relationship with my dad."
"It is a parent's job to worry about their children," Jay-Jay countered. "No matter how powerful the children may turn out to be."
Becca nods in agreement. "Right, when I have children, I'm going to worry about them,"
"Same here," Reika agreed. "Especially with all the enemies we've made over the years."
"Well, your children won't have to worry much when Uncle Daiki is here," Daiki grinned, and he flexed his muscles. "They're going to get through me if they ever think about harming my nieces and nephews!"
"Your future children will be in good hands," Jay-Jay said with a warm smile. "I make sure they are well-protected and can defend themselves."
Becca smiles at the two. "You two are absolute sweethearts,"
"Aye, that's what homies are for," Daiki said before putting his arm around Becca causing her to lightly giggle at her antics.
Jay-Jay, Mo Han, and Reika all smiled at the scene, feeling the camaraderie between Daiki and Becca.
Mo Han turns to Jay-Jay. "So Jay-Jay, what are Your hobbies?"
"Mainly martial arts, creating, and traveling," Jay-Jay answered. "I dabble in a bit of everything tho."
Mo Han's eyes light up at the answer. "Oh, so You like a variety of things? I like that in a Man,"
"You could say that," Jay-Jay replied.
"Next question, what do You think of the Defenders so far?" Mo Han asked.
"I like them," Jay-Jay answered. "I can feel the friendship between the team and y'all genuinely care for each other."
"Thanks, Jay-Jay," Reika said with a small smile. "Between battling gods, demons, angels, dragons, were beasts, wendigos, orcs, etc. to navigating political landscapes...we realized that we going need to work together to get this through the world together."
"You can say that again!" Mo Han agreed. "Man, who knew that I be doing this?"
"Well, life does have its surprises," Jay-Jay said with a chuckle. "Keep up building the bond with your comrades, you can be powerful alone, but with proper cooperation and a proper team...nothing can stop y'all."
Reika and Mo Han nods in understanding, appreciating Jay-Jay's wisdom. So far, Jay-Jay is a chill and wise Dude who has a very warm spirit.
"Do You have any kids?" Mo Han inquired. "You just give off a fatherly vibe."
"I do," Jay-Jay answered. "Lots of them."
Mo Han frowns a bit at that piece of info. 'Hmm, I don't think I'm ready to be a stepmom, but if I want to get with Him then I need to be prepared for that lifestyle.'
"Oh really?" Reika asked her head tilting in interest. "What are they like?"
"Diverse," Jay-Jay said with a proud smile. "Some of them are good, some of them are bad, and some are just misguided. But that's okay because I will do whatever it takes to lead My children to the path of righteousness and goodness."
Mo Han's expression softened as she saw the pure love in Jay-Jay's eyes. "Aw, You're a devoted dad, aren't You?"
"I try My best," Jay-Jay said, His voice filled with love and warmth. "If they only knew how much they are loved, they would never want to raise their fist in violence."
Reika wipes a single tear from her face. "That is so sweet,"
"It is," Daiki added himself to the convo. "You know, I would love to meet Your kids one day, Jay-Jay. I bet they gave You endless amusement."
"You can say that again," Jay-Jay said with a light laugh.
The five made it to Daiki's mother's house and Becca knocks on the door.
The group waited for a couple of seconds before Daiki's mother opens the door.
Daiki's mother eyes light up when she sees who it is at her doorstep. "Son, it's so good to see you again." She pulls Daiki into a hug.
Daiki smiles as he returns the hug. "It's good to see you too, ma,"
The two separated and her eyes landed on Becca. "My girl, how have you been?"
"I been alright, Aundi," Becca answered with a smile as she hugged Aundi. "Just been keeping an eye on your son."
"He hasn't been giving y'all too much has he?" Aundi questioned.
"No ma'am, Daiki has been efficient leader," Mo Han defended Daiki. "There is no need to worry about your son, he can handle himself and he is in good hands."
Aundi smiles. "Well good, I would hate to have to beat his ass for giving his teammates trouble,"
"No need for that, Ma," Daiki interjected. "Like I said before, I know how to handle my power now."
Aundi's expression softened. "Well good, we don't need you to end up like your piss-poor papa,"
Daiki rubs her shoulder in reassurance. "Trust me, I won't,"
"And we won't allow it," Reika reassured Aundi. "We'll keep him grounded, we can promise you that."
Aundi's expression softened. "Good, Daiki is lucky to have a team like y'all," Her eyes landed on Jay-Jay and she is taken back by how cute and handsome He is. "Oh my, aren't You a cutie pie?~ Jay-Jay, isn't it?"
Jay-Jay nods. "That's Me, nice to meet you, I heard great things about you," Jay-Jay held His hand out.
Aundi opted for a hug. "Oh, no need for such formality. You're fam,"
Jay-Jay returns the hug.
Mo Han, Reika, and Becca smile at the scene while Daiki has a look of horror as he picked up that his mom may have a crush on his teammate.
The two separated.
"Come on in!" Aundi exclaimed, gesturing for them to come inside. "The food is done."
The five enter her house.
Aundi stares at Jay-Jay's ass. 'Dear Lord, Odos never told us that Jay-Jay is one fine ass Man, because His ass looks like it is crafted by the gods.'
Jay-Jay can feel Aundi's lust rising towards Him and He shudders. He won't ever get used to the fact that the majority (well, all) of His children found Him extremely attractive. 'One of the many curses of freewill,'
Mo Han notices the way Aundi looks at Jay-Jay and she sees that she has some competition. 'So Aundi has eyes on him as well? Heh, looks like I have to step up my game on capturing Jay-Jay's heart because Aundi will not go down easy.'
'Well, I'm in for a ride,' Daiki thought as he caught Mo Han and Aundi looking at Jay-Jay with flirtatious glances. 'My mom and my teammate look like they are going to compete for my other teammate's heart. This is going to be awkward. I should put a stop to this, but I'm kinda curious to see how this ends.'
The group made it to the table and they all took a seat.
Aundi fixed them a plate and handed it to them.
Aundi fixed her own plate and sat down.
Reika rubs her hands excitedly. "Oh, I can tell that you did your thing because this collard greens looks delicious."
"Trust me, it is," Daiki said, waffling down the collard greens. "Ma knows how to throw down in the kitchen."
"Mhm, this cornbread," Becca said between eating. "We shall do this more often."
Aundi lightly giggles at seeing Becca's stuffed cheeks. "Easy there, youngin. The cornbread ain't going anywhere."
As soon as she said that, all the cornbread mysteriously grew legs and immediately bolted outside.
The group all look dumbfounded while Jay-Jay laughs.
"What just happened?" Mo Han is the first one to break the ice.
"Nothing really," Jay-Jay answered with a laugh. "These things happen mysteriously, you'll get used to it."
"Well, I suppose we shouldn't worry too much about it," Reika said, trying to ease the tension.
"She says, unsure if the cornbread is going to come back and take revenge for their fallen brethren as Becca's big-back ass ate him," Daiki joked.
Becca looks at him with an offended expression. "Hey, it ain't my fault your mom's cooking is good!"
"I'm just fucking with you," Daiki slaps her shoulder with a laugh.
Becca rolled her eyes. "Very funny, Daiki,"
"So Jay-Jay," Aundi called out, wanting to change the topic. "How long You being doing this hero thing for?"
"After existence was created," Jay-Jay answered.
Becca's eyes widened. "Damn, You're old,"
Reika kicks her shin.
Becca yelps in pain. "OW! What the hell was that for?"
"Be nice," Reika commanded.
"No need to get work up on My behalf," Jay-Jay said. "Time is nothing, but a mere concept to Me. After all, I have existed forever and will continue to do so."
Mo Han furrowed a brow at this. "What do You mean by that?"
"It means I was neither born nor self-created Myself into existence," Jay-Jay begins to explain. "I have always existed."
Jay-Jay is met with silence as the group has to process what He just said.
"So basically what You're saying is that You're older than all of the bloodlines combined?" Daiki asked, trying to make sure he heard the Supreme Hero right.
Jay-Jay nods. "In simple terms, yes,"
"Woah," Reika is astonished at that piece of info.
"I have to say, You're one helluva of a Guy," Becca complimented, looking at Jay-Jay with amazement in her eyes.
'Old or not, I'm still getting data ass one way or another,' Aundi thought, not caring about the fact the vast age gap between her and Jay-Jay.
"So that means You've been around for eternity?" Mo Han questioned, Jay-Jay nods. "Do You ever get lonely?"
"No, I don't feel the feeling of loneliness," Jay-Jay said. "Thanks to Me eternally existing, I have self-sufficiency which means I will be completely on My own, but I do love every single being in Existence."
The group smiles at that as they hear the honesty in His tone.
"Man, You really are a sweetheart," Daiki smiled. "I can see why my grandfather heavily fucks with You."
"Speaking of that, I hope I'm not intruding on uncharted territories, but what is Your relationship with Zyrian?" Aundi asked. Everyone can feel the vibe shifts into an uncomfortable one. "From Odos told us, Zyrian hates Your guts even though you two have never each other. Why is that?"
"My relationship with Zyrian is a one-sided beef," Jay-Jay answers, catching everyone's attention. "As for why Zyrian hates Me is because I have something that he don't have."
"Something he doesn't have?" Mo Han asked.
"Yes, he hates how I have perfect control over My power," Jay-Jay said.
"Hmph, should've figured that," Daiki said in a low tone, his voice filled with venom. "That nigga hates anything he can't control."
"Makes sense," Aundi said.
"Anyway, enough talking, let's eat," Daiki said as everyone dug in.
