The camera faded into a beautiful blue lake, the waves shimmered in the early morning light. It panned left to reveal the end of a dock, which Chris McLean stood upon. He looked extra giddy today, as today was a very special day. He smiled wide for the camera.

"Greetings, viewers! I'm your host, Chris McLean, and this is a very special episode." He started. He walked across the dock, the camera followed him every step of the way. "You see, at the beginning of this season, we brought fourteen brand new contestants to the grand old island of Camp Wawanakwa…"

He gestured behind him to the cabins that stood in front of the forest. "We put them through grueling challenges, and if that wasn't enough, some contestants made it their mission to inflict deceit and misery across the camp!"

He looked around as he fake coughed. "Zhang… Anyway, they were eliminated one by one until there were only three left, and these lucky three have a chance to win the cool one mil'!"

A bulletin board was wheeled onto the dock, pinned to the board were the images of three of the contestants.

"These lucky finalists are: Harmony, Jade, and Logan! They managed to make it to the end of the game, while the other 11 failed."

The camera then panned to Chef, who was burning the photos of the eliminated contestants. Chris shook his head as he watched the papers go up in smoke.

"Each of our contestants played very different social games. But they were all important roles in a game that I would never want to play!" Chris said. "Starting off with Harmony, she began the game very quiet and soft spoken, and she seemed very innocent to her teammates, allowing her to survive until the merge."

The camera flicked to Andrea's photo as it fell into the fire. "But behind the scenes, she was scheming. She made a secret alliance with Andrea behind Felix's back in the early days of the game, an alliance that lasted until the end of the game, when Harmony realized how big of a threat Andrea was. She played the game cautiously but callously. And it's clear that it paid off."

Chris moved from Harmony's photo to Jade's. "Jade was a more vocal player right from the beginning, she befriended Bryce out of the gate and by extent, Daniel. But Zhang drove a wedge between him and Jade's friendship using manipulation and gaslighting. Eventually she ended the friendship with Bryce entirely, something that she would come to regret. When it was revealed that she was played, she wanted to fix things, and she ended up eliminating Zhang, and then played a part in eliminating Andrea right after. Being both smart and strong, she's got a real advantage here!"

Chef, who had no photos left to burn, decided to join the recap, and he stood next to Chris as he spoke.

"And last, but certainly not least, we have Logan. He was also a relatively quiet player in the beginning, only making friends with Jack and staying close to him. That all changed when he bumped into Starr from the opposite team, quite literally! After Jack was eliminated, Logan and Starr bonded and grew closer together until they decided to become a couple, although that was short lived, as Zhang eliminated Starr from the game not 10 minutes later. Before leaving, Logan promised Starr that he would win for her, now the real question is if he can keep that promise."

An intern wheeled the bulletin board off the dock and out of view. "In the end, one of these three WILL win one million dollars, and they're gonna have some help in the process, as we're bringing all the eliminated contestants back to fight for who they think deserves the money the most!"

Chris McLean raised his hands dramatically in the air. "The final three will be tested in one last challenge! It'll be grueling, taxing, and very, very sweaty! Welcome to the season finale of Total, Drama, Island!"

Camera Fades out.

Boy's Side - 7:30 AM

The camera opened up to the floor under Logan's bunk, which was littered with empty soda cans and eaten bags of chips. Suddenly, two large sneakers came stomping onto the floor.

Logan was tying his shoes, and he looked elated. Something was clearly on his mind. He yawned as he stood up and stretched, making sure to wake up both arms and legs, and headed out the door.

(Confessional: Logan)

"Yes! I'm in the finale! I was expecting it to be a final two, but Chris gave us the news last night, and I can't wait to see Starr again!"

Logan smiled wide.

"And I can't wait to win. Now that Andrea's gone, this should be way easier. Can't get too cocky, though. Being cocky is being foolish."

(End confessional: Logan)

Logan made his way to the Mess Hall, like he did every morning after waking up and exercising. He was met by Jade, who told him Harmony was still asleep.

"She was real tired last night. Crashed down and stayed down, I guess." She added. Logan looked around, usually Chef prepared some sort of sloppy breakfast and placed servings out on the divider countertop between the Mess Hall and the kitchen, but today, there wasn't anything there.

"It's probably part of the challenge." Logan told Jade. "Make us starve so we'll have less energy."

Jade shrugged as she peered over the counter. "That makes sense, but-"

A voice behind them interrupted her. "What are you guys doing?" Jade looked behind her to see Harmony standing in the Mess Hall entrance, very confused.

"There's no food left out." Logan explained. "There's also nobody here, which is pretty odd. I'm going in to check." Logan went into the kitchen and looked around, even checking the frozen meat locker.

"Man, it is freezing in here!" He exclaimed when he opened the door. He looked at all the meat hanging from hooks, and was about to turn back when he felt someone poke his shoulder. He whirled around to see Chef and Chris standing there, Chef held a large cake in his arms on a glass platter.

"Hello, Logan." Chris greeted him. "Wanna slice the cake? Chef here made it just for you lucky three."

Logan stared at the towering cake. It was 3 tiers of vanilla frosting, topped with a cherry, and fluffy icing on the sides. Chef struggled to carry it into the Mess Hall, where the other two were waiting. Jade's face immediately lit up when she saw what Chef was carrying.

"Woah! We get to eat that!?" Jade asked hopefully. "That's huge! It looks like a wedding cake!"

Chef set the cake on the table with a loud thump, Harmony stared at it with a raised eyebrow.

"Yup! Consider it a gift from me and Chef, you've all worked hard to get here, so the producers thought you deserved a reward."

"What's the catch?" Harmony asked, clearly not convinced. "Is it laced with drugs to make us fall asleep?"

Chris shook his head. "Nope."

"Are there bombs inside of it?" Harmony continued. Logan looked over at her, somewhat annoyed by her superstitious attitude. The host shook his head again, "nuh-uh. Pure cake, no tricks, no games, no drugs."

Chef sliced a sizable piece and handed it to Harmony, who looked at it, and decided to give it a little taste. Her eyes lit up. "Oh, wow! This is good!"

"How would you like to enjoy it with your former teammates?" Chris asked them, Jade, who was in the middle of slicing a piece, looked up. "What do you mean?" She asked him.

Right on cue, the sounds of helicopter blades whirring got louder and louder, and everyone could see a transport helicopter land outside the Mess Hall. An intern dressed in red was the pilot, and he opened the main door, and out got the eliminated contestants, except for one, which was wheeled down a ramp by a second intern.

-

Logan looked through the windows, a smile appearing on his face. "Starr? Starr!" He burst out the doors towards her, and the two collided in a hug.

"Awww! Look at you two! I just have to share this on my tiktok account!" Olivia said as she passed them, she whipped out her phone and snapped a photo, much to Starr and Logan's discomfort.

"Nice to see you, too." Logan told her.

The heartfelt moment was ruined when Bryce walked past them, still sour from his elimination, clearly. He stared at Starr and Logan in disapproval. "We get it, you want to make out. Just make sure to do it where no one can see you, mkay?"

Bryce walked inside the Mess Hall, where he sat at a far table, skulking. Zhang was wheeled into the Mess Hall by the pilot intern, and his dolly was rested against the wall next to Bryce, who smirked.

"Not so powerful now, are you?" Bryce taunted him, poking at his bandaged body. Daniel walked over to the two and snickered.

"Karma's a piece of crap sometimes, isn't it?" Daniel said as he sat next to Bryce, the two smiled at each other before they received a small slice of the cake.

Hayden, who looked happier than when we last saw him, received his slice of cake with a big smile. "Thank you, Chef." He said before sitting down next to Felix.

"You look happy today." Felix told him. "Something on your mind? Or are you just… high again?"

Felix took a bite of cake as he waited for a response. Hayden thought for a moment before speaking. "Nahhh, I quit that stuff. I want to stay sober, for real this time! That's what cost me a million dollars in the first place!"

Felix looked impressed. "Well, that's nice to hear that you're making a change. Most people can't do tha-"

Felix was interrupted by Andrea, who was watching their conversation with a scowl. "Oh please! He's probably lying! All junkies stay junkies! It's common sense."

Felix turned around and frowned. "That's not very nice, Andrea. You should be congratulating him. Not chastising him."

"Would you two shut up? Please! I want to enjoy this slice of cake in peace!" Ace hollered at the two, she grabbed a plate of cake and walked over to where Bryce and Daniel were sitting. Logan and Starr walked over with them.

"How are you two catching up?" Daniel asked Logan. "Starr said some pretty sweet things about you."

Logan looked over at Starr playfully, who smiled in return. "Oh, really? Is that so?" He asked her, and she attempted to respond, but was stopped when a black-haired jock ran up to Logan and wrapped his arms around him.

"Logan! I knew you could do it, buddy!" Jack said as he hugged his friend tight. Logan gasped for air, dropping his fork onto his plate as he tried to pry Jack's hands from his waist.

"Jack… You're… Uggghhh." Logan croaked as Jack realized what he was doing. He dropped Logan suddenly and rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Oops! Sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you, I just wanted to congratulate you and-"

"It's alright, Jack. I'm glad to see you too. I'm still mad that Andrea voted you off." Logan said. "Not that it matters much, because I'm gonna win this thing!"

"Don't get too cocky, now." Jade told him from across the room. She was sitting with Tiffany. "That's my job! I'm going to take that million dollars with me home after today, right Tiffany?"

Tiffany, who was sitting silently watching nature outside through a window. Suddenly was jolted out of her trance, she looked around at the call of her name. "Uh, yes!" She responded instinctively.

Harmony, who was sitting at the table next to her's, looked at Jade. "Yeah, sure you are." She said sarcastically.

-

Chris and Chef were watching everything in the kitchen. Chris looked at Chef before rolling up his sleeve and checking the time.

"I think it's about time to lead everyone to the challenge, don't you?" The host asked his partner calmly. Chef nodded, putting his knife and other food utensils away in a drawer. "Yup." He said shortly, clearly tired from all the baking he did yesterday.

Chris nodded, and headed into the Mess Hall to interrupt the campers' happy time. "Alright, everyone! Settle down! We're still in a competition for a million bucks here! So listen to me when I say this!"

Bryce, from the back of the room, looked at Zhang in his dolly. He purposefully nudged Zhang, causing him to let out a muffled scream from under his bandages. "Yeah, listen." He told Zhang.

Zhang's eyes flicked to Bryce in rage.

"Everyone follow us outside, we'll explain the challenge out there." Chef said, leading everyone out of the Mess Hall and down a path without trees to a small clearing, there was a startling line that led down a hill.

Logan, Jade, and Harmony were at the front of the pack and peered down the hill, where they could see some small shacks.

"This challenge is long, hard, and confusing, so I'll explain this as best as I can." Chris said. "When I blow this horn, you'll race down this hill, and into one of those three saunas. These saunas are incredibly hot, and they're programmed to get hotter the longer you sit inside. As soon as the door closes with you in there, you'll have to last 30 minutes in the sauna before you can go on to the next part, if you leave, the timer will stop, and you'll fall behind."

Logan and Jade looked at each other in fear, while Harmony listened intently. "After you exit the sauna, you'll climb up Mt. Looming Tragedy to collect a boat key at the very top, where you'll climb back down and race to the dock of shame, and start the boat. There are only two boats, so if you get there last, you're out and will take third place."

Chris took a deep breath. "You'll have to race around the island, ending at the Dock of Shame, but not before you hit two targets in the water with a cannon that's been strapped you your boat, which leads you to the final part, in the Mess Hall is a special table, on which are three large trays of muffins, you have to take the muffins all the way back up the hill and back to the starting line WITHOUT dropping any. First person to do that wins a cool one mil'. Any questions?"

Logan and Jade looked like they just were asked to complete a calculus course. Jade scratched her head in confusion, trying to understand what the heck Chris had just said.

Chef smiled. "Luckily, you won't be doing this alone. The eliminated contestants will choose who they want to win, and do their best to help you succeed."

Logan's face lit up at this, at least he wouldn't have to do this alone. Chris walked over to the eliminated contestants. Jack was holding up Zhang's dolly so he wouldn't fall over onto the grass. Zhang shifted in his dolly.

"You all have two minutes to decide who you'll be helping." Chris told them. "After everyone chooses, the challenge will start."

Jack immediately let go of Zhang's dolly and ran over to Logan. Felix, who was standing next to Jack, grabbed the dolly so Zhang wouldn't fall. Starr walked next to Logan as well, and Felix wheeled Zhang over to Logan, standing with them.

Logan's Helpers: Starr, Jack, Felix, Zhang

Jade was immediately rushed by almost everyone else. Daniel, TIffany, Ace, and Olivia practically ran up to her.

"Ace? Why are you here?" Jade asked her. Ace crossed her arms. "After what my team did to me, I'm not helping ANY of them!" She hollered.

Hayden walked over next to Ace, putting a hand on her shoulder. "No need for that, Ace. We're totally gonna smoke him, trust me."

Ace's face softened slightly. "If you say so."

Bryce reluctantly walked over to Jade's group. Her face lit up at the sight of him, although Bryce did not look happy to be there.

"Bryce! Oh, it's so great to see you again!" Jade told Bryce happily. "Look, I'm so sorry that-"

Bryce interrupted her. "Save your sorry's. I'm only here because you're the only person I know out of the options. Otherwise, you best be sure I'd be over with that guy."

Bryce pointed at Logan, who was talking with Felix and Starr.

Jade's Helpers: Daniel, Ace, Hayden, Olivia, Tiffany, Bryce

Harmony watched everyone choose their helpers in dismay. Nobody wanted her to win the million dollars.

Harmony looked down at the ground in defeat. "Doomed from the start." She said quietly. She had no chance.

That was, until Andrea walked next to her, looking incredibly irritated. She nudged Harmony lightly, and she looked up at her. "Andrea? You're really going to help me?" She asked her.

"Duh. No way I could help any of those idiots." Andrea responded, gesturing over at Jade. "Besides, you're the only one who could stand up to me in a challenge. I have to respect you for that, at least."

Harmony smiled. "But I voted you out, remember?"

Andrea shook angrily just thinking about that. "Yeah, don't remind me of that." She said in a low tone. "Come on, let's get to the starting line, don't want to fall behind already."

Harmony's Helpers: Andrea

-

Everyone lined up at the starting line. Harmony's team on the far left, Logan's team on the far right, and Jade's team in the middle.

Andrea eyed the shacks from the starting line, pointing to them. "Those must be the saunas." She said, Harmony nodded in agreement.

"How fast can you run?" Harmony asked Andrea, who smiled brightly.

(Confessional: Harmony)

"Am I happy that I got Andrea to help me? No, we're not exactly friends. But I'm not mad about it, either. That girl is crazy powerful."

(End confessional: Harmony)

Chris blew the horn, and twelve of the fourteen contestants sprinted down the hill towards the saunas as fast as they could, all except for Jack, who was now holding Zhang in the dolly again.

Chris watched as Jack thought long and hard about what exactly to do with Zhang. But his face lit up when he got an idea. "I know where to put you!" He said as he wheeled him over to a tree resting on the edge of the hill.

"Don't worry, brah! You'll be just fine! Just stay there and…" Jack told Zhang, but he looked back at the others, who were all far away by now.

"Uh oh, gotta go!" Jack said as he left Zhang resting against the tree. He mumbled something as Jack left.

-

Andrea had Harmony on her shoulders as they ran down the hill. She had done this before with a heavier person, so carrying Harmony and running at the same time was very easy, and they were already ahead of everyone else.

Logan's group ran in a pack, closely together. Logan looked behind him, suddenly confused.

"Where's Jack at?" He asked Starr, who shrugged. He then looked at Felix. "And where the heck did Zhang go? I thought you had him!"

Felix shook his head. "I gave him to Jack just a few minutes ago. I don't know where they're at, either."

Logan shook his head angrily. "Unbelievable! One minute in and they're already gon-"

"-Right here, brah! Just had to take care of Mr. Washee Washee real quick. Now I'm good." Jack said as he appeared next to Logan. He was panting, already out of breath.

"Well, that's a start." Logan said.

Jade's group ran in a more spread out pack. Hayden and Olivia had the end of the group while Ace and Daniel ran next to Jade.

"So… can I just wait outside the sauna while you guys go in?" Olivia asked the group from the back. Jade looked behind her and shook her head.

"Sorry, but that's not how it works, Olivia, we all have to go in, or else the timer will stop." She said, and Olivia did not look happy.

"You think this makeup is able to withstand however-a-degrees it is in there?" Olivia spat at Jade, who by this point had grown very annoyed by Olivia's babbling.

"I don't care, because we're already here." She said matter-of-factly, Jade swung the door open and ran inside. Everyone else in her group followed suit, Olivia huffing all the way.

"The least they could do is pay me!" She said as the door slammed closed. Logan's group was last to reach the saunas, but they closed the door a few seconds later, and everyone was on to the second part of the challenge.

-

Andrea took a deep, hot breath in as she entered the sauna. Harmony gasped from the mere temperature change, beads of sweat already appearing on her skin.

"Oh please!" Andrea yelled in the cramped room. "This heat's nothin'! Going to the gym on a hot summer day is wayy worse than this!"

A flat screen television, which was mounted on the other wall, suddenly switched on, displaying a timer. They had 29 minutes and 37 seconds left, it also displayed the temperature, which right now was 169 degrees fahrenheit.

"Yeah…" Harmony said as she huddled onto the wooden bench, arms at her sides. "Now try and say that over and over… for half an hour. That'll work."

The temperature ticked up to 170 after her sentence. Andrea sighed heavily.

Jade's sauna was the exact opposite of Harmony's, instead of only two people in the already cramped space, there were seven. Ace, Hayden, Jade, Bryce, Daniel, Olivia, and Tiffany were all squashed together skin-to-skin. Hayden was right in the middle, and he immediately squirmed to take off his brown hoodie that he was wearing, but to no avail, his arms were stuck at his sides against Bryce and Ace.

The temperature was already 173 degrees, and Hayden gulped just looking at it. "Guys," he began. "Could you uh… move so I can get this off? Please?"

Ace looked at Hayden, who gestured with his head to his hoodie, which was already drenched in sweat, his armpits were dark stains, and his beanie was a soggy mess. She cringed, but shook it off. "Okay, can anyone move their body so Hayden can take off his shirt?" She asked the group.

Instead of a response, everyone merely murmured something unintelligible under their breaths. Hayden looked even more worried now.

Bryce, who was the closest to the door, sighed. "Technically, I can move, but I'll have to open the door, which is going to waste time." He looked at the time, which was just over 28 minutes left.

"It's alright, guys." Hayden said. "You don't have to get out, I'll be fine, I swear." Although the amount of sweat on his forehead strongly disagreed with his claim. Daniel shook his head.

"Great. This'll be fun, and this is only the first part? You've got to be kidding me." He said, straining to move his arms, which also failed.

-

Inside Logan's sauna, there was plenty of room to move, as it was just him, his girlfriend, Jack, and Felix, who sat at the very back, and had also taken off his sweatshirt, which was now laying on the floor. Jack looked as if he'd fallen asleep.

"We still have 25 minutes left, how are you guys holdin' up?" Logan asked his helpers. Starr rubbed the back of her neck, which was very damp with beaded sweat.

"I'm fine." Felix said, he took his hat off of his head, and tossed it to the ground with his sweatshirt. "If I'd have known that I'd be put in a sauna, I wouldn't have worn these."

Jack let out a murmur in response to Logan's question.

Logan looked at the temperature in the room, which was a nice, comfortable 192 degrees fahrenheit. He wiped his forehead, sweat dripping over his nose. He laid back against the wooden wall, wincing at the heat.

"At this rate, we'll be halfway to roasting marshmallows in here by the time this is over." Felix joked, looking at the climbing temperature. Logan smiled. "Yeah, maybe the final marshmallow. Which will be mine when I win." He said.

Felix shook his head slightly, but he smiled as he did, finding his arrogance amusing.

"Just relax and keep your breathing slow. Starr said, "this'll be super easy, trust me. It's not that bad yet, and we only have twenty…two minutes left!"

Starr laughed, although it sounded more nervous than anything. Felix looked at the timer. "Solid strategy. You should write a survival guide." He joked, but then he looked down at his hands, which were empty. "That reminds me… I wish I had a book right now."

Logan looked down at the floor, which was damp with pooled sweat. "Yeah."

-

Back in Harmony's sauna, the temperature ticked up from 198 to 199 degrees. Andrea was drenched in sweat, but she remained stone-faced and serious. She sat with her arms crossed over her chest, staring at the timer, her gaze occasionally flicking back to Harmony, who wasn't doing nearly as well.

The poor girl was completely exhausted. Her face was flushed red, and sweat poured from her forehead into her eyes and nose. She looked as if she were melting. Andrea scoffed hard as the temperature hit 200 degrees.

"Oh, come on!" Andrea moaned, staring at Harmony in disappointment. "You only have twenty minutes left, you can do this!"

Harmony turned very confused. "Since when did you ever encourage people?" She asked her. "All you ever did on my team was complain and argue."

Andrea flicked her ponytail, which caused a steam of sweat to hit the wall and start boiling away. Andrea winced as she heard the sizzle. "Maybe it's just because I really don't want to lose? Ever thought of that?" She retorted when she turned back to Harmony, who was now fanning herself with her hand, panting.

"It's like an oven in here!" She yelled. "There's no way I can do this for…" She looked at the timer. "Eighteen minutes and fifty-seven seconds longer! I'll burn like a roasted pig-"

Andrea started shaking Harmony around like a ragdoll. "Pull yourself together!" She told her. "You're gonna be fine! And when that timer hits zero, we're gonna get out of here and win this!"

Harmony didn't respond, but she groaned in response. Andrea went silent as the temperature ticked up ever more…

-

Ten minutes later, in Jade's sauna, things were getting really, really uncomfortable, and smelly. Hayden's sweat had started reacting with the moisture in the air, and now the entire sauna stunk like body odour. The 220 degree conditions didn't help, either.

Bryce, on the far end near the sauna door, had to fight every instinct he had to not run outside screaming, his normally gel'd hair had turned into sweaty matted strands that draped over his eyes, he couldn't even move to swipe the hair away, as his arms were trapped between the fair wall and Hayden's body.

"So… how we doing here, guys?" Hayden said awkwardly, most people rolled their eyes in irritation, but Bryce snapped his neck to glare at him angrily.

"Oooh, just freaking peachy!" He yelled at Hayden sarcastically. "I get the honor of being squished against a stink-machine! How lucky am I?"

"Bryce, that's not fair. It's kinda our fault, anyway. None of us can move." Daniel chastised him. Hayden nodded alongside him.

"Yea, maybe just… chill out a little bit? Please?" Hayden asked Bryce, who looked at him scornfully.

"Really? Chill out, sure! Let's just wait for the temperature to drop, oh… I don't know… 150 degrees first!" Bryce said, he then turned to the door to the sauna, and gritted his teeth.

"Actually, let me help you chill out." Bryce added as he used his foot to kick the sauna door wide open, pausing the timer. He then stood up and stepped out of the sauna, crossing his arms as everyone decompressed and stood up. Hayden immediately threw off his hoodie.

"Dude, you're a lifesaver, man!" Hayden thanked Bryce as he wrapped his arms around him for a hug. Bryce vomited in his mouth.

The others, however, weren't half as happy as Hayden was. Daniel balled his fists slightly, glaring at Bryce while Jade crossed her arms.

"What the heck, man! Now I'm going to be behind!" Jade yelled at Bryce. Who scoffed. "Don't worry, now that everyone's all chilled out now, we can go back in. And make sure to not clump on the bench this time, mkay?"

Everyone re-entered the sauna, and the timer re-activated, although now it was 45 seconds behind the other saunas.

-

Inside Logan's sauna, there was only 5 minutes left, and the temperature was nearing 250 degrees. Nobody tried to move, as that would only make the heat worse and more oppressive. Felix huddled on the ground in a corner. His hair mangled strands. "God, my head hurts." He complained.

Logan let out a muffled "mmm" in response. Jack rubbed his sweaty forehead and cheeks with his hands, which were cracked dry.

Starr let out a sigh. "I wonder how Zhang's doing, I mean, I hate the guy, but last I knew Jack told me he put him against a tree.

"Like I'm gonna hold 300 degree metal in my hands." Jack retorted, clearly somewhat annoyed. "Trust me, he's way happier than us right now."

Felix rolled his eyes, his arms still locked around his knees. "Yeah, I'm sure he is."

-

Zhang was, despite popular belief, not happy at all. He was still resting against the same tree Jack had placed him at nearly a half hour previous, but he was squirming and struggling to break free from his restraints and bandages.

Chris and Chef watched him with delight, they giggled and laughed uncontrollably as Zhang moved, his muffled yells of anger audible.

Finally though, Chris checked his watch, "I wonder when they'll be out of the saunas, should be right about… now."

Right on cue, Harmony and Logan's saunas opened at right about the same time. Andrea had Harmony hugging her back and shoulders as she slowly stepped out. The summer air felt like the arctic.

Logan's group, on the other hand, didn't take the temperature change so well. Logan gasped and stumbled over onto the grass. Starr kneeling over to help him to his feet. Jack swayed in the mild wind.

"I feel dizzy!" Jack complained before he spewed his cake all over the grass, and onto Logan's shoes.

"Ah-HEY!" Logan yelled at Jack as he ripped his feet away from the trail of vomit. "You got my new shoes covered in… gahhh!"

Jack wiped his mouth lethargically as he straightened back up. "Sorry, dude." Was all he could let out.

Jade's sauna was forcibly opened by Ace, who led the group out into the cooler air and down a path, although almost everyone fell over after about 10 feet on the mission trail, some ending up like Jack, although Ace, Bryce, and Hayden seemed okay.

Felix was the first to completely recover in Logan's group. He pointed into the forest at Mt. Looming tragedy. "Come on! Andrea and Harmony are already ahead!"

Logan and Jack stood up and began following Felix. Jade's group recovered and headed the same way.

Andrea and Harmony were far ahead of everyone else. Andrea could even see the jagged slab that was the summit of Mt. Looming Tragedy in the near distance. She could also see a helicopter that landed on the summit.

"That must be… Chris." Harmony groaned from Andrea's shoulder. Andrea "mmm'd" in response. She looked over her shoulder to see Logan's group closing in. Logan at the front running at full sprint.

"Uggghhh. We gotta make this quick, so you'll just let me do the climbing while you wait at the base."

Harmony huffed in response. Andrea assumed that was a "yes." The two reached the base of Mt. Looming Tragedy, Andrea threw Harmony off of her shoulder, and she landed in a bush with a thump.

Logan's team arrived just as Andrea started climbing. Logan went to start climbing, but Jack interrupted him.

"I'll do it, brah. I'm probably way stronger than you. No offense." He told Logan, who shrugged. "Okay, then. Be my guest." Was the thank you Jack got.

Jack nodded as he started to climb up. But was quickly distracted by the view of Andrea's… underside above him. He squinted to get a better view.

Logan groaned as he tapped his foot impatiently, he looked behind him to see the shadows of Jade's group approaching. "Come on, Jack! Don't be stupid! Only stupid people would flirt with Andrea."

Jack snapped out of his trance, shaking his head, he started climbing again. "Oh, you're right! Sorry bro!" He gripped a loose rock, and as he pulled himself up, it came free from the mountain side and crashed onto the ground. Jade's group, who had just arrived at the mountain, almost got crushed.

"Woah!" Daniel said as she threw herself out of the way of the blast. Bryce and Hayden also did the same thing.

Ace however, did not hesitate. She started climbing the rock wall without even being told to, and she was making good progress, catching up to Jack.

That was until Chef and Chris peeked their heads out from the side of Mt. Looming Tragedy to watch the others climb up, Chef picked up a large brick of ice, and hurled it over the side, it crashed on a pipe right above Andrea, who ducked to avoid fragments.

"Ooooh! When I get up there… Just you wait!" Andrea warned Chef from the middle of the mountain, Chef gulped, and threw another ice brick, this one hitting Jack square on the head. He stopped dead in his tracks, and keeled over, falling down the mountain, hitting every single slab of rock along the way.

"OOH! UGH! AGH! UMPH!" Jack cried out as he fell, he eventually landed on a metal pipe not far from the ground, luckily, his progress wasn't completely erased. Jack twitched and moaned as he rested on the rusted pipe.

"No!" Logan yelled up at Jack. "Come on! Get up!"

Jack lifted a very broken head off of the ground, sticking an arm up in the air. "Sure, can-it-do, L..L.."

Jack collapsed back onto the pipe. He was not in any condition to move. Logan sighed, and stomped his foot on the ground in frustration. "Great. Now I'm going to have to go up." He said as he started climbing up. Starr gave him a look of disapproval. "Felix should do it," She said.

"I should?" Felix asked. But Logan shook his head, and continued on, passing Jack. Andrea was nearing the top, and he knew that he couldn't waste any time. Ace was pretty far ahead, too. Logan dodged another ice brick, which smashed to the ground.

Andrea had reached the top of the mountain, and she grabbed the first thing she saw, which was a dull-gray boat key. Unfortunately for her, Chef was standing right there, and a cold block of ice was dropped right onto Andrea's forehead.

"OWW!" Andrea said as she let go of the mountain side to cover her face, which led her to lean backwards and start falling to the ground. Ace dodged out of the way as she watched her plummet and hit the ground below. Ace quickly swiped a key and got out of the way before Chef could throw ice at her.

Andrea groaned as she got up and straightened her back painfully. Harmony ran up to her concerned. "Do you have the key? Where's the key?" She rushed her.

"Relax, Music Minor," Andrea told her, holding out her hand. "It's right here…" She looked down at her hand, and saw that it was empty. Her eyes practically bugged out of her head when she came to the realization that she lost the key.

"Crap! Where's the key!?" Andrea yelled as she looked around frantically for what she lost. The ground was covered in tall grass, so it was almost impossible to see anything if it had fallen onto the ground.

"I'll help you." Harmony said as the two sifted through the area, although they came up awfully short.

"-Looking for something, Andrea?" A voice said from behind Andrea. She turned around to see Ace start running back towards the dock of shame, with a key in her hand. Looks like Jade's group was in the lead now.

A few seconds after that, Logan hopped down from Mt. Looming Tragedy with his key, and he ran off. Jack moaned from up above as he slowly climbed down, and limped after Logan.

Andrea balled her hands up into fists as she screamed into the air. Harmony looked down at the ground as she realized that they were done for.

"This is all your fault, you know. You're the one who lost the key." Harmony said. Andrea didn't even respond, she merely looked away and started kicking the base of Mt. Looming Tragedy.

-

At the Dock of Shame, there were two identical boats floating on the side of the dock. They were small, but efficient motorboats, their hulls rusted by the water. Both of the boats had makeshift cannons attached above the wheel. Jade's group, led by Ace, arrived first, cementing her spot in the final two. Everyone cheered for a brief moment. And Jade gave Ace a high-five.

"I wish you were on my team!" Jade told Ace. "We definitely wouldn't have voted you out first!" She complimented. "You totally destroyed that part of the challenge."

"Easy for you to say." Olivia whined from the back. "I can barely see!" She pointed to her eyes, which had been semi-melded shut by melted eyeliner.

"Oh, boo hoo." Bryce interjected her rudely. "I wish we could all complain all day, but we clearly have a challenge to win."

Jade nodded as everyone got in the boat, which rumbled to life. Jade got in the driver's seat, Daniel got in the passenger seat, and Ace took the cannon, while everyone else crammed into the back behind the seats.

Logan's group arrived shortly after, everyone got inside the remaining boat without hesitation, and sped off.

Harmony however, was out of the competition, her and Andrea made their way back to the starting line to skulk with Zhang.

-

"And the two finalists are off!" Chris said as he arrived at the dock on his four-wheeler. "Now it's a race around the island in the boats, with the objective to knock down two targets in the water with those cannons!"

The boats sped around the curve of the island, and away from view.

Logan's Group

Logan was the one at the wheel driving, while Starr sat as a passenger. Felix was controlling the cannons, although he looked worried.

"I… have no idea how to do this, Logan!" Felix complained as he fumbled with the controls, the cannon swerved to the left, where he would for sure not hit any of the targets.

"Well, I'm not letting Jack do it." Logan said harshly. "and the last time you controlled a boat, it got you eliminated."

"It's not like that was my fault at all. Zhang sabotaged me." Felix responded, but Logan ignored him as he made a turn to avoid some rocks in the water. They could see the aggravated water trail from Jade's boat up ahead.

Jade's Group

Ace looked down the barrel of the cannon intently, and turned it level with the water. "This is surprisingly simple to control. I shouldn't have much trouble hitting anything with these."

The boat passed a target as Ace readied herself for the next one. She wanted a clear shot.

Tiffany looked over the side of the boat in unease. Daniel looked over to her. "You alright?"

Tiffany nodded. "Yeah, just… I'm not used to the water. I can get a little… seasick." Tiffany responded. Daniel nodded in acknowledgement.

"I hear you, one time, when I was seven, my dad and I went to-"

The sound of an explosion jolted Daniel from his conversation, both he and Tiffany turned to watch a cannonball shoot out from Ace's cannon and connect with a floating target in the water, ripping it to shreds.

"Bulls-eye!" Hayden yelled, Bryce rolled his eyes in annoyance. The sound of another explosion rang through the air, Daniel looked behind the boat.

"Looks like Logan shot at a target." He said. "Let's hope he didn't hit it."

-

Logan's Group

Everyone cheered as Felix ripped through the target. Now both teams were tied at 1-1. Logan and Felix high-fived.

"See? I told you that you would be fine." Logan congratulated him. "Now all you have to do is hit another one so we'll be in the lead.

Felix nodded, adjusting the cannon barrel ever so slightly to the right, waiting for the next target. They hit a small patch of air, and that made the cannon become off center again. Felix grumbled something as he re-adjusted it.

Starr looked ahead, squinting her eyes. "There's a target! It hasn't been hit yet!" She pointed towards a fastly approaching target in the distance. Felix aimed his cannon toward the general direction, and fired.

The cannonball ripped through the air at a high velocity, and soared past the target, landing in the rippling water with a plunk. Felix's shoulders loosened, and everyone sighed.

"Dang it." He said. "I blew it."

Starr and Logan shook their heads. "Not yet, you didn't. I'm sure that there's others out there." She reassured Felix, who was already setting up the cannon again.

Jade's Group

The boat was a bit ahead of Logan's by now, and they were approaching the dock of shame again. But they still had to hit another target before they could end the race. Ace hitched the cannon upwards and shot at a fast moving target, and the cannonball just barely connected, ripping through the top half of it like paper and sending it to the bottom of the lake.

"Yes!" Jade said as she sped up the boat, wanting to get out of the water as fast as possible. The others agreed with her, but a cannon blast behind them made everyone look back.

A cannonball flew above the boat at jet speeds before slamming into a target that was just ahead of them. Their lead had been almost erased, just like that.

Jade grunted something as she swerved to pull over at the Dock of Shame. At that high speed, boating around the island didn't take nearly as much time as she would've thought. At least this time she had a good boat.

Jade's group immediately rushed out of the boat and started sprinting towards the Mess Hall, where their final part of the challenge was awaiting them. But a sputtering sound behind them tensed everyone.

Logan's group ran out of the boat and started heading the same way. Starr huffed and puffed as she tried to keep up with Logan, Jack, and Felix.

"Come on! We know we're faster than these bums!" Jack yelled at Logan as he stared at the crowd ahead of them. "Just keep running!"

"Yeah, we get it, Jack." Logan said cynically. "We just need to get that plate of muffins, and run up that hill to the finish line as fast as we can, you hear me?"

"Loud and proud." Felix said as he turned his head away. Starr also nodded.

-

The view cut to the inside of the Mess Hall, which was relatively quiet. Three trays of Muffins were sitting on a table. One for Jade's group to carry, one for Logan's group, and the last was Harmony's but she was out.

Then suddenly, the sound of rushing footsteps was heard coming up to the big wooden doors. Jade's group barged into the room with such force that the doors shook, and they only slowed down enough to carefully hold the tray above their heads as they started making their way out.

Not six seconds later, Logan's group rushed into the room. Jack grabbed one end of the tray while Felix grabbed the other end. Logan held up the middle as Starr ran behind them.

"Let's go!" Felix yelled to his group as they ran out of the room, and towards the hill.

-

At the top of the hill, Andrea and Harmony sat on the grass, defeated. Chef and Chris had returned to the startling/finish line as well. Maybe just to taunt them.

Zhang was still perched against the tree, wriggling and struggling. Andrea watched him with a small, mischievous smirk. Chris looked at his watch.

"Hopefully they should be here soon." He told Chef. "I don't have this island rented out for much longer, and I'm not about to break the production lease."

"I wouldn't worry." Chef replied in his low and gravelly voice. "They're here now."

Chris turned his head to peer down the hill, and sure enough, there were two groups of campers running as fast as they could holding the tray of muffins. They were approaching fast, and it was clear that one contestant was far ahead of the other.

Jade.

She was at least thirty feet ahead of Logan, and she wasn't slowing down any bit. Andrea scoffed and folded her arms at the sight.

"I told you. Logan should have listened to me. We should've voted Jade out. And now Logan's going to pay the price for it. There's no way he can win this." Andrea said, looking at the running people with contempt.

Zhang on the other hand, wasn't taking the news nearly as well. As soon as he realized that Jade was on the winning path, he started wriggling and squirming much harder than before. His eyes twisted in anger as he teetered off the tree.

"Uh…oh." Chris said flatly as Zhang's dolly came loose from the tree, and its wheels spun towards the players. Zhang began rolling down the hill dangerously fast. At least 30 miles an hour after a few seconds. The wheels shook as Zhang's dolly aimed right down the hill. His hair blew and loose bandages flapped like flags at the south pole. His muffled screams were drowned out by the wind.

The finalists and their helpers couldn't see a thing while lifting the heavy trays over their heads. Felix almost let his side of the tray drop from his tired arms. Unfortunately, it wouldn't matter for one of them.

Up ahead. Jade's group began to notice a strange sound. It sounded like the wheels of a gurney squeaking, and a muffled cry. It was quickly getting louder.

"What the heck is that noi-" Bryce started to say, but he was cut off when Zhang slammed into Jade's group at 45 miles an hour. Knocking everyone into the air. Zhang fell out of his dolly and rolled to the base of the hill, while Jade, Bryce, Daniel, Hayden. Tiffany, Olivia, and Ace flew in the opposite direction they were running. Slamming into the ground.

The only things Logan's group noticed was the sound of a loud crash, and scattered muffins rolling down the hill as they crossed the finish line.

Far behind them, the view of eight writhing people could be seen. Jade clutched her legs, where the dolly had smacked into her, while Bryce and Daniel huddled up on the ground, legs curled around their stomachs.

Past the finish line, Logan, Jack, Starr, and Felix lowered the tray, very confused. "Where's Jade? I should probably congratulate her." Logan said sadly.

Chris walked up to him. "No need, Logan! Because you've just won A MILLION BUCKS! That's right! Look behind you!"

Chris pointed down the hill, and Logan's group looked down at the chaos. Harmony and Andrea walked up to them, starting with concern as well.

"Jesus, Christ!" Harmony yelped. "We need to help them!"

Chris moaned. "Oooooh, relax! They'll be fine! I'll get some interns for them in a minute!" He added as he sent Chef walking down the hill.

Logan's face turned from concern to elation. "I…I won?" He stammered, although Starr answered the half-question for him. She wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace.

"YOU WON!" She happily exclaimed, hugging him tight. Logan smiled wide, enjoying the moment.

Jack also threw himself around Logan's waist. "Ooooh Yeah! I knew my bro Logan could do it! He won a big, fat check!" He squeezed him tight, and Logan at this point was becoming slightly annoyed with two people hugging him at the same time. Jack squeezed harder.

Logan choked for a moment. "Guh… Yup! I… did…it.." He rasped. Jack let go of Logan and apologized, but Logan was too focused on what Chris was bringing him to really care. Chris walked up to him brandishing a large, metal briefcase filled with neatly stacked dollar bills, Logan's heart practically stopped. Even Felix peered over Logan's shoulder to take a peek.

"Wow. I wish I was you right now." Felix told Logan as he stared at his friend's reward. Logan took the briefcase full of money and hugged it tight for a moment before stepping back.

"Wow… This is probably one of the best days of my life." Logan said, before looking over at Starr. "Second only to meeting you, though."

Starr smiled and gave Logan a very unexpected kiss on the cheek. Logan gasped as Starr pulled away. "I knew you could do it." She whispered in his ear.

The nice moment was interrupted by groans coming from behind everyone. Some of Jade's team had recovered and were limping back up. Jade and Ace in particular, with Bryce visible, too.

"Congratulations…" Jade said flatly, almost in a sarcastic tone. "You're lucky that that goddamn… thing crashed into me. Otherwise that would be mine!"

Logan's face scrunched up in concern. "Jade, come on. Don't be a poor sport, this isn't like you at all."

Jade turned away, clearly still upset. Ace frowned furiously in the realization that she was part of the losing party. Bryce, on the other hand, reached out to shake Logan's hand.

"Fair game." He said dryly as the two shook hands. "Luck was clearly on your side today."

Logan smiled. "I think it was a little more than… luck." He said, looking back over at Starr. Bryce frowned and walked away.

Chris walked over to the group, checking his watch again. "Okay, I hate to break apart… whatever is happening here, I mean this makes for awesome ratings, but we only have an hour left on Wawanakwa. So we gotta get out of here."

"What do you mean by that?" Felix questioned Chris.

"You think I own this island? No!" Chris blurted out. "I rent it from the owners every season, and my lease is almost up, everyone pack up, and then we're all going to Toronto for a reunion special."

Chris looked at everyone sternly. "And I mean now."

Everyone looked at each other before the previously eliminated contestants headed off to wait in front of the cabins, while Harmony, Logan and Jade went to gather their belongings from their cabin.

Chris started up the large transport helicopter, apparently he didn't need an intern to fly it for him. And opened the main door, where all the contestants filed inside and took a damp seat.

"This is disgusting." Olivia remarked.

From the cockpit, Chris and Chef were strapping in and getting ready to take off. Chris smiled wide, showing off his large, white teeth.

"Well, that concludes this season of Total Drama!" Chris said as he began his outro. "Although we're not quite done yet! We still have the reunion special, hosted at the Aftermath Studio! Tune in to see the lasting thoughts of our 14 competitors, hear what Logan has in mind for his million, and some special hints for season 2!"

Chris started to raise his hands in the air.

"Next time, on Total, Drama, Island!"

Camera fades out.

Editor's note:

Well! That's it for this season! I had a GREAT time writing this, and even though we're not technically done yet. The winner has been crowned. Logan was a character that didn't really stick out to me at first, but after developing him, I quickly found potential. The reunion special won't be as long as a normal episode, so expect it out sooner rather than later.
