Episode 14: Battlefield Wawanakwa
Author's note: Hi guys. You may have noticed I've changed my username. Well, the reason for that is, I just wanted to use something a bit more anonymous. This isn't going to change my content in any way, I just wanted to stop using the old name. That's all I wanted to say, let's get onto the chapter, shall we?
The camera focuses on Chris at the end of the Dock of Shame. "Last time on Total Drama Island." The scene cuts to flashbacks of the previous episode. "Lincoln and Mandy started working together in secret, until Dipper discovered it. Buttercup threatened him to keep his mouth shut though, which definitely worked…not. We'll get to that later though. We then started the challenge: a nice rousing game of 'Catch That Monkey'. During this time, Kevin and Kim talked about their feelings, which was boring, then somehow made their break up boring. I'll have to fix that somehow. Anyway, in the end it came down to Ben and Kevin trying to catch their monkeys, and Ben managed to secure his because Kevin didn't realise his had gone to sleep on top of the cage. Rather than eliminate him though, his team voted off Dipper, who revealed to everyone Lincoln and Mandy's secret." The scene cuts back to Chris on the Dock of Shame. "Who's going to be fighting to stay in the game this time? There's only one way to find out, and that's right here, right now, on Total. Drama. Island."
Intro song plays.
Lincoln poked his head out from behind a tree, before diving behind a bush, then behind a rock, then a log.
Confession Cam: Lincoln
"Ever since it came out that I'm working with Mandy, I've been trying to avoid the others. I mean, I don't get what the big deal is: they don't care that Korra and Luz have a kind of alliance, why should mine matter…other than Mandy being a little evil."
Lincoln poked his head out from behind the log he was hiding behind, decided the coast was clear, and started creeping towards the bathroom. "Found you," said someone, causing Lincoln to freeze for a moment, before relaxing.
"Oh, thank God it's only you," said Lincoln, turning to face Danny. "I was worried Korra had found me."
"Yeah, I can see how that might be a problem for you," said Danny. "But seriously, where have you been the last couple of days? You haven't even been in the cabin."
"Yeah, because I know what'll happen if Korra gets her hands on me," said Lincoln. "After Dipper left, I got back to the cabin and moved my stuff underneath the cabin so I know when Korra wasn't around."
Flashback to the night of the last elimination…
"WHERE IS HE?!" yelled Korra, the sound of the room being trashed obvious to Lincoln, cowering under the cabin. "I'M GONNA *beep* KILL HIM!"
Back in the present…
"Boy, it sure would be bad if Korra heard that," said Danny in a mocking voice.
"Wait, is she behind me?" asked Lincoln, suddenly panicked. "OH GOD NO!" Lincoln sprinted off into the woods, just as Korra exited the bathroom.
"Did I just hear that little traitor talking?" asked Korra.
"He went that way," said Danny, pointing at where Lincoln had just run off to.
Confession Cam: Danny
"What? He has to face up to it eventually. Might as well make it sooner rather than later."
"Okay campers, it's nearly challenge time," said Chris over the loudspeaker. "But first, we need to have a meeting. Come to the Mess Hall, we have some things to discuss."
"It's the merge," said Dexter. "It has to be. We're down to half of the original group, we must be merging."
"How much do you want to bet on that?" asked Ben.
"Twenty bucks," said Dexter, showing Ben the money. "But honestly, what else could this announcement be?"
"I don't know yet, but just watch, it won't be the merge," said Ben.
Soon, everyone was sitting in the Mess Hall, with Chris standing before them. "So, you're probably wondering why you're here…" started Chris.
"It's because you're dissolving the teams, isn't it?" asked Kim.
"We can pretty much guarantee it at this point," said Jenny.
"Ahem, I'm talking," said Chris, as Chef emerged from the kitchen with some pens and paper. "You'll notice some certain names on the papers Chef's handing out to you."
"Annie…Arnold…Dipper…" read Kevin. "Wait, this is everyone who's been voted out so far."
"That's right," said Chris. "And some of them are about to come back."
"HA! Called it," said Ben, receiving some money from an angry Dexter.
"Wait, didn't you say once you left the island, you couldn't come back?" asked Luz.
"Yeah, well, I lied," said Chris. "Seriously, how is that unexpected from me at this point? Anyway, three contestants are coming back, one from each team. And you'll all be voting for them. As in, you're not just voting for who will rejoin your team, but the other teams too."
"So, we could vote for someone who will really help us, but the other teams could screw us by bringing back someone useless?" asked Mandy.
"Pretty much, yeah," said Chris. "Good luck, because once these three come back, we'll be starting today's challenge."
Confession Cam: Steven
"Holy moly, who do I want to bring back? Elliott would be nice to have back, if only because he was kicked off so brutally. Star seemed like a good mix of nice and destructive to mess with Team Power Mouse, so maybe her? And maybe Arnold for Golden Lion? He seemed cool."
Confession Cam: Luz
"Well, Nate's probably gonna screw up for Golden Lion again, so he gets my vote. For us…maybe Jake? He's a bit of a creep, but he's also reliable, so I can put up with that. Maybe Jessica for Checkmate. Not a major threat, but seems like a nice enough kid."
Confession Cam: Korra
"Definitely Tulip for Checkmate. I'm guessing she'll be more than happy to get physical with Mandy again. Luz got along pretty well with Dipper, so he's cool in my book. For my team, I'm thinking Eliza maybe?"
Later…
"Okay, we've counted the votes," said Chris. "And there's certainly been some interesting choices. But, we officially have our returning campers."
"Please, let it be Dipper," said Buttercup. "I want another shot at him."
"Uh huh. Yeah, he actually won his team's vote," said Chris. "However, because you broke his arm right as he was leaving, he declined to come back. Though that's partly because he's still in hospital and unable to compete, which we unfortunately have to accept according to the legal documents you signed when you agreed to do this show."
"Aww, man," said Buttercup.
"So, do we not get anyone back?" asked Kevin.
"No, we just offered the spot to second place, and they said yes," said Chris, as a ship's horn was heard outside. "Ahh, that's be them arriving now."
"I wonder who's coming back," said Jenny, following Chris out to the beach.
"Well, given that every team has outnumbered by the remaining two teams, I'm guessing no-one's getting anyone helpful," said Lincoln.
"Don't say that," said Jenny. "As long as it's not…"
"Returning from Team Golden Lion, please welcome back Nate," said Chris, as Nate ran down the gangplank.
"…him…" said Jenny. "Well, look, it's probably not as bad as we think, right?"
"Hey guys," said Nate. "Thanks for giving me another chance."
"I think that was more the other teams," said Danny, noting the other teams cheering at getting last place back.
"Aww, man," said Nate. "Look, I know I screwed up last time, but I swear, I'm going to do much better this time. I promise."
"Let's hope so," said Korra.
"Okay, now for Team Checkmate's returning camper," said Chris. "And I'm very excited for this one, since I foresee a very healthy dose of drama from her, please welcome back Tulip." Tulip walked down the gangplank, and immediately locked eyes with Mandy.
"You…" said Tulip, giving Mandy a glare.
"Yes, me," said Mandy, unflinching under Tulip's glare, even looking bored.
"Ooh, I'm looking forward to what happens next," said Chris. "But first, our final returning contestant. As mentioned, she was actually your second choice, but I'm sure that won't dampen her spirit, please welcome back Star." Star leapt from the boat, landing easily on the dock after doing a backflip.
"HEY GUYS!" yelled Star, immediately running up and hugging the other members of her team. "So psyched to be back."
"We can tell," said Kim, detaching herself from Star.
"So, now that we're all here, I should head over to the Golden Lion cabin to put my stuff down, right?" asked Nate.
"You can do that," said Chris with a shrug. "Or any other cabin for that matter."
"Wait, you're letting us pick which team we're on?" asked Tulip.
"Kind of," said Chris. "Except what I actually mean is, as of this moment, Teams Checkmate, Golden Lion, and Power Mouse no longer exist. You're all on your own."
"Damn it," said Ben, giving Dexter his money back. Dexter made a small motion with his hand, to which Ben sighed before giving Dexter another $20.
Confession Cam: Nate
"WOOHOO! I come back to the comp, just to make the merge…let's hope that's not all I do this time."
Confession Cam: Star
"This is gonna be so COOL! I hope the rest of my old team still want to play with me though, after I kinda caused the other teams to beat us last time."
Confession Cam: Tulip
"Hey Mandy." Tulip didn't say anything else, just drew her finger across her throat.
"And now, on to today's challenge," said Chris, leading the contestants to an arena. "Welcome, to the Chrisosseum."
"How much does this stuff cost you?" asked Kevin.
"And does it have anything to do with why we haven't had rewards for winning challenges lately?" asked Danny.
"Never you mind, and never you mind," said Chris. "Anyway, you'll notice that there are five raised platforms in the arena. Three of you will be on each, where you will do battle with these." Chris walked over to a barrel that had a bunch of sticks with foam padding on each end. "We wanted something deadlier, but the studio started going on and on about danger and lawsuits or something. I don't know, I tuned out."
"And if we prefer to be a pacifist?" asked Steven.
"Then you'll lose," said Chris with a shrug. "Doesn't make a difference to me, but the winner of the fight between the final five gets the Chris of Invincibility." Chris reached into his pocket, and pulled out the statue.
"How do we win then?" asked Buttercup.
"Round 1 will consist of five matches, with three of you in each," said Chris. "Contestants will be chosen at random for who fights who."
Confession Cam: Chris
"Except where I rigged it because I wanted to."
"Knock your two opponents out of the arena, you move on to the final match, consisting of the five winners," said Chris. "Win that, win the whole tournament, and an immunity statue. Simple, right?"
"Except for the fact that several of the contestants can fly," said Lincoln. "How's that fair for those of us who can't?"
"Don't worry, I've already thought of that," said Chris. "I'm also including a five second rule. If anyone is off the ground for more than five seconds, they're out. Including those of you without the power of flight, because let's face it, if any of you are off the ground for more than five seconds, you're probably being flung out of the ring anyway."
"So I could just pick someone off the ground and hold them there long enough that they get eliminated?" said Steven.
"I mean, yeah," said Chris. "It'd be boring, but you could do it."
"Sweet," said Steven. "Non-violent strategy taken care of." As he said this, Chef shoved a weapon into his hand. "Didn't I just say I wasn't going to fight?"
"You did," said Chef. "But everyone's getting one anyway. You choose whether you use it or not."
"Fine, whatever," said Steven. "Who are we facing?"
"Well, let's see then," said Chris, drawing out the first three names. "Steven, you'll be facing off against Ben and Star."
"…that might be a problem for my pacifist strategy," said Steven.
"Come on, this'll be fun, new buddy," said Star, dragging him to one of the raised platforms. "Hey, do you want to have a sandcastle building contest later?"
"I…don't know what to say to that," said Steven.
"And you seem to be ignoring that there's three of us in this battle," said Ben, joining them in the arena.
"Oh yeah," said Star. "We can all hang out after this, right? Since we're not on anyone's team anymore."
"I suppose," said Steven, getting ready for the match.
"Okay, next on my list," continued Chris. "Kim and Kevin, with Buttercup thrown in."
"And this is where I'm starting to suspect these aren't as random as Chris claims they are," said Kevin, jumping onto one of the platforms.
"You thought he'd actually make random match-ups when he could do this instead?" asked Kim.
"Yeah, I totally randomised who would fight who once I made sure the showdowns I wanted to happen would happen," said Chris.
"It figures," sighed Kevin.
"Ahem, less talking, more fighting," said Buttercup, readying herself for a fight.
"Let's see…" said Chris, looking at his list of fights. "Ooh, I'm looking forward to this one. Mandy, Tulip, and Nate."
"YES! I only have to fight two girls," said Nate, excitedly running towards a platform.
"Uh, Nate? You might need to know that…" started Danny.
"Don't care, I have an easy fight ahead of me," said Nate, ignoring the death glares Tulip and Mandy were giving each other as they entered the arena.
"Next victims," said Chris, looking at the next match-up. "Luz and Korra…"
"Of course it is…" sighed Korra.
"…with Lincoln," said Chris, letting out a chuckle afterwards.
"Oh, COME ON!" yelled Lincoln, as the two girls turned on him. "How am I supposed to compete with that?"
"I'm sure you'll figure something out," said Luz. "Or not."
"Can I forfeit now?" asked Lincoln.
"No forfeits," said Chris. "It's more fun for me this way."
"God damn it," said Lincoln, walking towards the arena dejectedly.
"So that leaves me, Jenny, and Dexter?" asked Danny.
"Correct," said Chris. "Honestly, you guys haven't had any overly negative interactions with anyone, so it's the fight I'm least interested in."
"Really? A ghost fighting a robot isn't going to be interesting to you?" asked Jenny.
"Okay, when you put it like that, it makes me sound stupid," said Chris.
"Also, I'm in this fight as well," said Dexter.
"Of course you are," said Jenny, messing up Dexter's hair.
"HEY! I'm the super genius here," said Dexter, trying to grab Jenny, only to just barely graze Jenny's back.
"Okay kids, get on your platforms, it's time to begin," said Chris, pulling out his airhorn. "And…GO!" Chris gave a quick blast from the airhorn, and all five fights began immediately.
"Okay ladies, let me make this easy on…you…" started Nate, before noticing Tulip and Mandy were completely ignoring him in favour of fighting each other. "Huh...this might be easier than I thought."
"Just wait," called Danny, dodging a blast from Jenny. "Things might not go the way you think."
"What do you mean by…" started Nate, but Danny wasn't paying attention since he was fighting Jenny by this point.
Meanwhile…
"Look, I know we've had our differences…" said Lincoln, backing up from the approaching Korra. "But can't we just put them aside and…"
"You literally sided with Mandy," said Korra, looming over him. "You know how evil she is, and you still did it."
"You've been against me since we got here," said Lincoln, tripping over as he continued to move backwards. "What did you expect would happen?"
"Well, I know I'm going to enjoy this," said Korra, summoning a fireball to her hand. Lincoln covered his head in his hands, preparing for the blow.
"Uh, Korra?" said Luz, grabbing Korra's shoulder. "Maybe to keep things fair, you should just use the thing Chris gave us?"
Korra continued to look at Lincoln menacingly, then dispersed the fireball. "You know, you're right," she said. "It's not as much fun when he's cowering like that."
Lincoln looked up at Korra, relief in his face. "Oh thank…" he started as he grabbed his weapon, only for Korra to smack him as hard as she could, sending him out of the ring.
"You're right, that was more satisfying," said Korra, preparing herself to fight Luz. "You ready for this?"
"Bring it on," said Luz, getting her own weapon ready.
Meanwhile…
"CUPCAKE BLAST!" yelled Star, firing cupcakes everywhere.
"Uh, Star?" said Steven, casually dodging one of the blasts.
"SYRUP TSUNAMI SHOCKWAVE!" yelled Star, causing a flood of syrup to cover the ground of the platform.
"Star?" called Ben, carefully avoiding the worst of the syrup.
"RAINBOW FLYTRAP!" yelled Star, causing a series of rainbow-coloured flytraps to appear around the platform.
"Star?" called Steven again, not even needing to dodge the final attack. "You know none of these have actually hit us, right?"
"I'm aware," said Star with a smile. "This is called setting up."
"Setting up for…" started Ben.
"HONEYBEE TORNADO SWARM!" yelled Star, summoning a swarm of bees to the battlefield.
"Oh…" started Ben, trying to escape, only to get stuck in the syrup, then tripping into a flytrap. Steven wasn't having any easier of a time, getting stuck in the stickiness of everything Star set up in the arena.
"Too easy," said Star, casually smashing a trapped Steven and Ben out of the arena with her pole. "I win."
"You win round one," said Chris. "How will you go in round two?"
"Eh, can't be that hard," said Star dismissively, jumping back to where Chris was to wait for the other fights to end.
Meanwhile…
"All I have to do is lift you up, and…" started Buttercup, lifting Kim off the ground.
"Kim, I got you," said Kevin, grabbing her legs and trying to pull her back to the ground.
"You know I could just lift both of you off the ground and throw you, right?" asked Buttercup. "Like, that isn't an…" Suddenly, an airhorn sounded from Chris.
"Buttercup, Kim, you're both out," said Chris.
"I figured that might happen," said Kim, releasing herself from Buttercup's grip.
"Wait, what happened?" asked Buttercup.
"Did you forget about the five second rule?" asked Chris. "Because…that. And unfortunately, since Kim was off the ground for five seconds too…"
"Wait, so I'm in the final round?" asked Kevin. "Me?"
"That's right," said Chris. "It'll be interesting to see how you survive that."
"Isn't this great?" asked Star, giving Kevin a hug. "We're in the finals together."
"Yeah…great…" said Kevin, watching the other matches full of superpowered beings with nervousness.
Meanwhile…
"Man Jenny, you're good at dodging," said Danny, sending another couple of green blasts at her.
"Yeah, I didn't think I was this good either," said Jenny, easily dodging them. "It's like I got an upgrade I didn't know about."
"Something like that," muttered Dexter, who was sitting off in a corner, watching the match intently.
"Hey Dex, are you sure you don't want to just jump out of the ring now?" asked Danny. "I mean, neither of us want to hurt you when the time comes."
"Oh, I'm not the one who'd be getting hurt," said Dexter.
"Well, don't say I didn't…" started Danny, as Jenny punched him in the side of the face. "Whoa, Jenny, that hurt."
"I…didn't do that…" said Jenny, stunned at what she'd done. "What's going…" Before she knew it, she was throwing another punch at Danny, slamming him into the ground. "Danny! I swear this isn't me."
"Really? Because it looks very much like…" started Danny, as Jenny struck him again. "Is it possible you're malfunctioning or something?"
"No, it's…" started Jenny, before noticing Dexter off to the side. "Wait a minute…what's Dexter doing?"
Danny flew over to Dexter, and picked him up by the back of his shirt. "What's that?" asked Danny, pointing at a remote he was holding.
"Uh…nothing special?" said Dexter, playing with it casually and hoping Danny wouldn't notice what he was doing.
"Uh huh. And that's why you're…" started Danny, as the top half of Jenny's body suddenly started spinning around, nearly knocking him out of the ring.
"So that's what's happening," said Jenny, whose head was now on backwards. "Dexter's put something on me."
"What?" asked Danny, before getting a look at Jenny's back, where there was some kind of gadget. "Dexter, what did you do?"
"Just evened the odds," said Dexter, realising the others weren't going to believe he was innocent much longer and openly using the remote now. Jenny immediately flew at Danny, and the two started grappling with one another.
"Dexter, let me go," said Jenny, trying to struggle against Dexter's control.
"Why? I have a chance to win now," said Dexter. "I just need you to beat Danny, then I just make you walk out of the ring, and I win."
"Yeah, what next though?" asked Danny. "There's no way you're beating four other people the same way."
"I'll work that out when I get there," said Dexter dismissively.
"Or maybe you won't," said Danny, go intangible for a moment to phase through Jenny, then grabbing the device on her back and yanking it off. "So, about you progressing…"
"Uh…" started Dexter, backing away from him.
"It's time to…" started Danny, as Jenny blasted him with an energy beam. "Jenny, what the hell?"
"I dOn'T kNoW wHaT's HaPpEnInG…" said Jenny, her body spasming around wildly, various gadgets and gismos popping out at random.
"Dexter, what's going on?" demanded Danny.
"I don't know," confessed Dexter. "I guess pulling of the control panel is causing her to malfunction."
"Great," said Danny sarcastically. "Now we have to deal with…" Before he could finish that sentence, Jenny fired off a laser that cut the section of the platform Danny and Dexter were on off from the rest of it, causing it to fall to the ground.
"Okay, looks like we have three of our winners so far," said Chris, ducking under a stray laser from Jenny. "HEY! Watch it."
"Look, what happened to Jenny might be my fault," said Dexter. "If you'll just let me go in there, I'm sure that I can…"
"What, let you back into the arena after you were eliminated?" asked Chris. "No way, you were eliminated fair and square."
"But…" started Danny.
"No buts, you're out," said Chris. Dexter and Danny just looked at each other with concern, as Jenny's malfunctioning body continued to spasm in the arena.
Meanwhile…
"You…are…going…down," said Tulip, swinging at Mandy with as much force as she could manage.
"Oh, am I?" asked Mandy, deflecting the blows with some difficulty. So far, all Tulip had managed to do is push Mandy back, but Mandy was carefully making sure she was just going around the sides of the platform.
Meanwhile, Nate was just sitting in the middle of the platform, watching the two of them going around and around. "Ugh, this is gonna take FOREVER!" said Nate, throwing himself on the ground in frustration. "Hey Chris, can't you just declare me the winner or something? Clearly they're just gonna take each other out."
"Sorry buddy, you gotta be the last one in the ring," Chris called back.
"Aww, man," said Nate, getting more and more annoyed.
"I mean, you could always just go after one of them," said Chris. "You know, take one or the other or both out yourself."
"Yeah, but if they ignore me, I'll only have to fight one of them," said Nate.
"Hey, I gave you an option," said Chris. "Your call if you take it or not."
"Ugh, when is something going to…" started Nate, before noticing that the two girls were no longer circling, but stuck in a standoff against each other.
"Just…fall already," snarled Tulip, pushing Mandy slowly towards the edge.
"Interesting proposal," said Mandy, almost sounding bored. "Counter offer." Mandy stretched out one leg, and swept it behind Tulip's, causing her to fall. At that moment, Mandy got herself into position and kicked Tulip off the platform, securing herself the win before turning to face Nate. "Now…"
"Finally," said Nate, picking up his weapon. "Now, I don't want hurt you, but…"
"Not gonna happen," said Mandy, swinging at him.
"Whoa, WHOA!" said Nate, dodging her attacks. "Hey, careful girlie."
"GIRLIE?!" snapped Mandy, swinging even harder. Nate backed up to the edge of a platform, then blocked a vicious blow from Mandy. "Look, whatever your name is. You went out first in the competition, and you'll go out first again."
"My name…is Nate," said Nate, knocking Mandy's pole out of her hands. "And I'm not going out first again." Nate swung as hard as he could, knocking Mandy off-balance before she fell off the platform. "Hey, I won. Isn't that great?"
"Totally dude," said Danny, writing something on a piece of paper. "Just curious: what's your last name?"
"Wright," said Nate. "Why? What are you doing?"
"Writing your eulogy," said Danny.
"My…what?" asked Nate. "Why? What did I do?"
"Nate," said Kevin, leading him away from the arena. "You might want to sit down."
Confession Cam: Nate
"So, I haven't been watching the show at home, since I didn't want to relive seeing myself getting booted off first. I'm now thinking I should have, so then I would have known that Mandy is a *beep* PSYCHO!"
"Okay, just one more fight to…" started Chris, as Luz came flying off from her platform and landing in front of him. "Never mind. Korra, Nate, Kevin, Star, and Jenny go on to the final."
"About Jenny…" started Danny, approaching Chris.
"I told you, she's fighting, no matter what," said Chris.
"She really isn't in any condition to…" started Dexter.
"No buts. You both were eliminated fair and square," said Chris, casually dodging a stray laser from Jenny. "Now, everyone sit back and watch the finale."
"What are we going to do?" asked Dexter. "We can't leave her like this."
"Hey, you caused this, this is kinda your mess to fix up," said Danny. "If you attach that controlling thing back on her, will she go back to normal?"
"…maybe," said Dexter. "It probably won't make anything worse."
"Wait, what do you mean 'probably'?" asked Danny, but Dexter had already left to go fix Jenny. "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"
Shortly afterwards, Chris had the finalists in the arena, everyone holding the weapon, except Jenny, who was still short-circuiting. "Okay contestants, you time starts…" Chris blew his airhorn. "NOW!"
"KILL THAT NATE KID!" yelled Mandy.
"That's a bit harsh, isn't it?" asked Lincoln.
"He cost me another statue. He deserves it," said Mandy.
"If you say so," said Lincoln, going back to watching the match.
"Alright, step one of my…" started Star as she pulled out her wand. Before she could do anything though, Jenny's arm blew off and slapped her wand out of her hand. "HEY!"
"Guys, should we just agree to get Jenny eliminated?" asked Kevin. "Like, I think this is getting really unsafe. Once she's out, someone can try and fix her."
"Agreed," said Korra. "Come on, let's…"
"TAKE…THIS!" yelled Nate, swinging his pole as hard as he could. Nate caught Korra in the chest, who wasn't expecting the attack and slipped out of the arena.
"NATE! What the hell?" snapped Kevin. "We're trying to get rid of Jenny so she can get fixed."
"And I'm taking advantage of you guys being distracted to get the win," said Nate, swinging his pole at Kevin.
"Oh, for crying out loud," muttered Kevin, easily blocking the blow as he looked over at Star. "STAR! Get Jenny."
"You got it," said Star, grabbing her pole and using it to block Jenny's stray weapons and attacks.
"Nate, come on man," said Kevin, blocking Nate's attacks fairly easily. "Jenny needs help, and we all know Chris isn't going to give her that."
"You don't know that," called Chris from the sidelines.
"Are you going to let her forfeit?" asked Kevin.
"Only if she asks to," said Chris. "Which she's not in any position to, so she won't, so she still has to compete."
"You didn't let me forfeit," said Lincoln.
"Yeah, because it would be funnier for me," said Chris.
"See my point," said Kevin. "So please, just help us…"
"You don't understand," said Nate. "I have to do this. I have to make up for going out first last time."
"Nate, this isn't helping," said Kevin, managing to get a blow in to push Nate back. "Most of the people here like Jenny, or at least don't want to see her like this. Just help us get her out, then you can…"
"No, this is my big chance," said Nate, managing to get a swing past Kevin's defences. "I could win."
"Uh, guys?" called Star. "I don't know if I can hold her back much longer."
"Coming Star," said Kevin, turning his back on Nate to go help Star. This turned out to be a mistake, because Nate took this opportunity to swing at Kevin's legs, tripping him up and causing him to stumble out of the arena.
"KEVIN!" yelled Star, dodging out of the way of Jenny and turning her attention to Nate. "You…"
"Uh…uh oh," said Nate, realising he'd messed up big time.
Star leapt into the air and pulled out her wand, pointing it at the ground below her. "Raspberry Panzerfaust!" she yelled, a pink blast flying from her wand, obliterating the arena beneath her.
"Whoa, whoa, WHOA!" cried Nate, scrambling to keep on the crumbling arena, but fell to the ground below with Jenny.
Star managed to land on a part of the arena that hadn't fallen yet, smiling from ear to ear. "I won," she said, bouncing with glee.
"Yes, you did," said Chris. "And destroyed the Chrisosseum in the process."
"Pfft, details," said Star dismissively. "So, do I get the Invincibility Idol now?"
"Okay, fine," said Chris, tossing it over to her. "But you're not immune to getting voted for, so you could lose that immediately."
"That's okay Chris," said Kevin. "I think we all know who we're going to be voting for." As he said this, Kevin gave a pointed look at Nate.
"…oh *beep," said Nate, knowing he may have just screwed up again.
"Hey, better you than me," said Mandy dismissively as she went past.
Later, at the elimination ceremony…
"Hey Jenny, how are you going?" asked Danny, sitting down next to her.
"Well, I've been better," said Jenny, who was just a head at this point. "The rest of my body's gonna take some time to fix."
"I said I'm doing what I can," said Dexter, still working on one of Jenny's arms.
"Ahem, if I could have your attention please," said Chris, standing in front of them all. "You all know what time it is, right?"
"Elimination time?" asked Kim.
"That's right," said Chris. "As you can see, there are fourteen marshmallows in this plate, even though there are fifteen of you present. Get a marshmallow, stay in the game. Don't get a marshmallow, and you'll be taking a walk down the Dock of Shame, boarding the Boat of Losers, and this time, you won't be coming back. Ever. The following contestants are safe." As Chris read each name, he threw them a marshmallow. "Kim, Buttercup, Steven, Star, Ben, Kevin, Dexter, Korra, Jenny, Danny, Luz, Lincoln, and Tulip." The camera focused on Mandy and Nate. "Campers, there is only one marshmallow left. And it goes to…"
"I know," said Nate sadly, getting up. "The others told me Mandy's got a couple of invincibility statues, so even if she's voted off, it'll still go to me."
"Yeah, great, take all the tension out of the elimination," said Chris with frustration. "Sorry Nate, you're…"
"That's enough," said someone, causing everyone to jump. Everyone turned around to see a short woman with white hair in a yellow lab coat walking into the Campfire Ceremony.
"Mum?" asked Jenny. "What are you doing here?"
"Taking you home, XJ-9," said Dr. Wakeman. "You are in no condition to continue competing in this competition."
"Excuse me?" said Chris. "I'm in charge here, and the contestants voted out…"
"I don't care," said Dr. Wakeman. "Clearly XJ-9 is no longer able to continue, I believe this means she is eliminated."
"Says who?" demanded Chris.
"Says you, in your own contract you had the contestants sign," said Dr. Wakeman, shoving a piece of paper in Chris's face.
"…I hate that the legal team made us include that clause in the contract," said Chris. "Well, I guess that means I have to eliminate Jenny…"
"What if I can get her fixed?" asked Dexter, as Dr. Wakeman snatched the arm he was working on out of his hand.
"Hmm…interesting use of wire placement," said Dr. Wakeman. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trying to have XJ-9 under your control." In response to that, Dexter just laughed nervously.
"Wait, what about my elimination statue?" asked Jenny, her chest cavity opening to reveal it. "Do I get to pass that on to someone?"
"Nope," said Chris, taking it and throwing it on the fire. "Only valid for the person who won it."
"Wait, so if Jenny's going home, does that mean I don't?" asked Nate.
"Well, we're only scheduled to have one person go home today," said Chris. "So I guess you can stay."
"YES!" said Nate with a fist pump.
"Eh, you'll probably just be eliminated next time anyway," said Chris.
"We'll see about that," said Nate, retaking his seat at the ceremony.
"Ready to go, XJ-9?" asked Dr. Wakeman.
"Goodbye guys," said Jenny, waving from a disembodied hand. "Hopefully I'll see you all soon."
"See ya Jenny," said Danny. "Hopefully you'll be back in one piece soon."
"Well, that was an unexpected turn of events," said Chris. "I'd even call it…dramatic. Will we have more of that soon? You'll just have to wait and see, next time, on Total. Drama. Island."
Author's note: Attention all digital artists who've been plaguing fanfic sites lately. You know who you are. I'm not interested in getting art made of my fics. I'm actually pretty sure it's illegal, since you'd be profiting off another person's IP. I can do fanfiction because I don't make money off it, and that's how it has to remain or else I can get into serious trouble. If you feel like making fanart of my works, go ahead, since neither of us would be making money off it, but I will neither be asking for any or commissioning anything. So please, don't contact me about doing art. I'm saying this nicely now, because I won't be so nice if you ignore this message.
