Chapter 33: The Locci King Returns
The two lovestruck teens then shared a kiss together as the sun finally set, cementing their new relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend.
After a few moments, Danny and Makoto parted ways. Both were blushing and smiling dreamily, and Makoto tried hard not to seem too giddy right now. The tall sailor guardian was still smiling, as she was still marveling over what had just happened.
"I just kissed a really funny, sweet, cute and amazing guy who likes me and wants to be my boyfriend. Awesome!..."Makoto thought, trying hard not to smile TOO big right now.
Danny kept smiling at her, feeling on top of the world.
"Best trip ever..."He thought, still unable to believe it.
He met an amazing girl who agreed to be his girlfriend, who also happens to be a superhero and can kick serious butt in civilian form too. It was like something out of a dream.
"He is just so amazing..."Makoto thought in a smitten way, feeling so lucky right now.
"She's so hot..."Danny thought, just as smitten as she was.
The ghost boy grinned, his expression so lovestruck that his face had a slightly goofy expression, the tall girl finding it endearing. The two young lovebirds held hands together again, both feeling on top of the world right now.
Danny recalled something, and his smile lightened a bit.
"So, what are we gonna say to Minako?..."The ghost boy asked.
Makoto's smile lessened a bit after hearing this.
"We are gonna have to let her know about this sooner rather than later. She deserves to know the truth..." Makoto said, though she knew this was gonna be awkward and a little difficult.
Danny nodded.
"Yeah, I know. But it's not easy. Seeing as I was her superhero crush..."The ghost boy said, sighing at how that would go.
Makoto recalled the conversation that she had with her friend and tried to reassure Danny.
"Minako is an understanding person. She and I both promised each other that we would respect your decision, whatever it would be..."Makoto said, making the ghost boy feel a little less nervous after hearing this.
"I'm glad to hear that but this still won't be easy. The last thing I want to do is hurt her feelings but leading her along is even worse. So yeah, sooner is better than later..."Danny said, hoping that Minako won't be too hurt when he breaks the news to her.
"True. We can't delay this..."Makoto said as Danny smiled slightly at her.
The two teens continued to eat their meal and enjoy the rest of their date, simply wanting to continue enjoying each other's company in this blissful moment for as long as possible. Although, they were still planning to tell Minako as soon as it was appropriate to do so.
Both, however, were still unaware she already knew.
Later
After the meal, Danny and Makoto watched the sun set and enjoyed the rest of their lovely date. Once done, Danny walked her back to her home.
All the while, Makoto was holding his hand.
Some people glanced at them, due to the fact that Makoto was taller than Danny, but the couple didn't pay any attention to this. Makoto and Danny felt blissful as they kept walking together.
"I'm so happy. So, this is what it feels like to walk with a girlfriend back to her house, I could get used to this feeling..."Danny thought, feeling lighter than air, and he's not even in ghost form right now.
"I can't believe that I finally get to have a boyfriend who I'm walking back to my house hand in hand, and he doesn't mind how tall I am! Awesome!..."Makoto thought, feeling happy as her heart beat fast right now.
They soon arrive at Makoto's apartment, and their date has reached its end.
"Here we are, home sweet home..."Danny said as he let go of her hand.
Makoto smiled, her cheeks still a little red and looking shy and endearing around him.
"Thank you for walking me all the way home, Danny-kun. I appreciate it..."Makoto said in a gracious way.
The ghost boy smiled at her.
"Anytime..."Danny said, sending her the smile that made her weak at the knee.
The two young lovebirds looked at each other, both of them smiling and not wanting to say goodbye just yet.
"So..."Makoto said, taking a step forward into Danny, and feeling her heart flutter a bit.
"So..."Danny repeated, still looking at her with an infatuated smile.
"This was wonderful, Danny-kun..."Makoto said sweetly.
"Well, I had a really great time with you Makoto..."Danny said, meaning it.
"I did too, Danny- Kun. I can't remember having a nicer time out with a boy..."Makoto said, smiling shyly at him.
Danny blushed more upon hearing this, feeling flattered at hearing her kind words.
"Happy to hear that. I'm happy to put in the effort, especially for you..."He said, rubbing the back of his head in a shy way.
The tall girl blushed more, feeling so happy right now.
"Today really was full of surprises, but yours was the best one Danny-kun..." Makoto said, smiling sweetly at him.
The half ghost boy had a matching blush on his own face after noticing his girlfriend's cute expression.
"You really are something else, Makoto..."Danny said, sounding infatuated as he spoke to her.
"So are you, Danny-kun..."Makoto said, sending a lovesick smile at him.
The two teens were about to share another kiss, and Makoto looked excited as she awaited the kiss. However, before their lips met, something happened.
KABOOM!
They heard a sudden explosion happening several miles away, interrupting the romantic moment between the two lovestruck teens.
"Oh man, what's that?!..." Danny exclaimed as he turned away to look in the direction of the explosion, while Makoto internally felt upset that the romantic moment was cut short.
"Whoever interrupted the romantic moment I was having with my new boyfriend is gonna pay!..." The tall sailor guardian thought, barely suppressing her rage.
The heroes soon changed into their hero forms and went to go to the source of the explosion, ready to go hero mode now.
A little later
Danny and Makoto, now as Phantom and Jupiter, soon arrived at their destination. They were near the park where the source of that explosion was. There, he spotted the other sailor guardians and Tuxedo Mask were already there.
"There you guys are..."Sailor Moon said.
"Finally, where were you two?! We tried to call you guys, and you didn't pick up!..."Sailor Mars said, sounding ticked off.
"Sorry, we were late. Danny had walked me home and we rushed over here as soon as we saw the explosion..."Sailor Jupiter said.
"What happened?..."Danny said.
"That is what we are trying to find out..."Tuxedo Mask responded.
"We saw the explosion just now and rushed over here as soon as we all could..."Sailor Mercury explained.
"Then we should investigate and help all the citizens evacuate somewhere safe..."Danny said.
"Yes. The people's safety comes first before anything else..."Sailor Venus said, her voice making the heroic couple flinch a bit.
Danny and Jupiter soon spotted Sailor Venus. The couple suddenly felt awkward upon seeing her.
"Minako/Mina-chan..." Both Danny and Makoto thought in sync, both quiet right now.
"Way sooner than I expected to talk to her..."Danny thought.
"This is awkward..."Jupiter thought, cringing a bit as soon as she saw her friend.
The blonde sailor guardian saw the two of them but said nothing. The young heroes still felt awkward as soon as they saw her, and they both knew that they had to talk to her, but right now there were civilians to help guide to safety.
Still, the ghost boy tried to talk to her while he had a chance to.
"Mina...um...look...there's something that I need to tell you about and it's going to be hard to hear..."Danny tried to explain, but the blonde girl stopped him.
"It's okay, Phantom-san. I know..."Venus said, surprising the couple.
"You know?..." Jupiter asked, her friend nodded.
"It wasn't hard to tell. Look...I know that you chose Makoto... I'm okay..."Venus said, trying to be a grown up about this.
The couple wanted to say something, but she stopped them.
"We'll talk later. We need to evacuate the civilians and find the bad guys..."Venus said quickly, wanting to focus on their duty as heroes right now.
"Right, this place is really unsafe..."Sailor Moon said, since that was their top priority right now.
"That's right. We can't stay. Something clearly dangerous is involved..."Luna agreed.
"Plus, we gotta save anyone else here before this place becomes even more unstable..."Artemis commented, as the heroes went to look for any remaining civilians that might need help.
Thankfully, all the heroes managed to successfully guide all the civilians to safety, now the heroic superpowered teens can deal with whatever villain of the week that was causing trouble this time around. Once they were sure that no innocent civilians were around here, they continued to search for the source of the explosion.
"Alright, I think that was all of the civilians. Where are the bad guys?..."Sailor Moon said.
"I don't know. I can sense they're here somewhere though..."Artemis said.
"We need an aerial view..."Sailor Mercury suggested, as she turned to the ghost boy of the group.
"On it..."Danny said as he was about to take to the air.
Another explosion happened as the heroes turned around to face what new enemy was trying to disrupt the peace in Juuban.
"GUARDIANS!..."Was shouted.
The heroes looked up and saw who the villain was.
It was King Regalis, only this time he was wearing a strange amulet and next to him was a strange looking woman, and they both looked furious at seeing the heroes.
"You're back?!..."Sailor Moon shouted, shocked to see him.
"You can't take down the king of the locci's so easily, fools..."Regalis said, sounding angry.
"Geez, I should have realized the last fight was too easy. In hindsight, we probably should have guessed that this roach ruler would crawl back one more time..." Danny frowned before shaking his head. "Clockwork has a lot of explaining to do when I see him..." He grumbled.
"CEASE YOUR POINTLESS CHATTER AND FACE US YOU DESPICABLE LITTLE WORMS!..."Regalis said, looking furious.
"How did you even get back?!..."Danny demanded an answer as Jupiter glared at the evil king.
"You can thank me for that..."The woman said in a snobby tone, frowning at them.
The sailor guardians and ghost boy were all shocked to see her.
"Who's that, your girlfriend?..."Danny asked, mostly to mock him.
However, the female just smirked.
"No, I'm his wife..."The woman said, surprising the heroes.
Danny blinked.
"Huh...I...wasn't actually expecting that..."He said, somewhat upset that his attempt at mockery failed.
"I guess that we should have suspected he might have had a queen..." Mercury said, while the female locci sent them hateful glares.
"One too ugly to get something better..." Mars snarked, while the locci queen looked furious at them.
"WRETCHED HUMANS! I AM THE QUEEN OF LOCCI, BORN OF ROYAL BLOOD, THE WIFE OF MY BELOVED REGALIS AND YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE! I AM QUEEN RIGALIA!..."She declared dramatically, as she stood beside her husband.
"I was the one to bring my beloved one back from the clutches of death to enact our revenge on all of you!..."She said in a low, hateful tone, while her husband smiled as he heard that.
"As expected of my lovely queen..."Regalis said, sending her an adoring look.
The queen of the locci's returned it. Danny and the Sailor Guardians had grossed out looks at that.
"Um...eww..." Danny said, looking disgusted at their flirting.
"You said it, Danny-kun..." Jupiter said, also looking disgusted.
"Disgusting. Grosser than Usagi's cooking..." Mars said, also grossed out.
"Oh, come on! Was that remark really necessary!?..." Sailor Moon asked Mars, glaring at her while the others ignored them.
The locci king and queen angrily sent glares and her eyes flashed red with rage at that remark.
"Insolent fools! Do you all seriously take us for some sort of comedic joke?!..."The queen said as she sent her small squadron to attack Danny Phantom, Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Guardians.
All the heroes remained silent for a moment, as none of them knew how to answer that question. Which only managed to anger the locci queen and king further. They didn't like being ignored and they continued to try and terrorize the heroes, who continued to fight and taunt them.
"Why are you even here? I thought that after the last time we all fought and defeated your king, then the loccis would've decided to cut their losses and earth alone. Seriously, why are you all still around here?..." Danny demanded an answer while Jupiter glared at the villains.
"Do you honestly expect the likes of myself to run away, when it is plainly obvious to anyone that you so called heroes used underhanded tactics to defeat my beloved husband last time! The nerve!..."Rigalia said in a rage filled tone, while the heroes kept glaring at her.
"You're calling us the underhanded ones, who in their right mind told you that lie?!..." Sailor Moon asked out of shock.
"Let me guess, King Loser over there told you that and begged you to help bail him out of the mess he made for himself and his army?..." Danny mocked.
"How dare you?! I am the king of all locci and the rightful ruler of the universe!..."Regalis said as his wife looked ready to destroy him right now for his disrespect.
"It matters not who told us this. The fact remains that you all are the ones responsible for most of our military force and our plan was ruined. And for that, you all shall pay..."He said, wanting vengeance.
"So basically, you brought whatever was left of your army and somehow brought back your husband from oblivion just to get some payback for your failed invasion plan?..." Danny snarked.
The queen nodded reluctantly.
"That's right. I am here to seek my righteous vengeance upon you all and eradicate all of the human race after we destroy you all. That way that we can simply take this planet as the first of many future conquered planets!..."Rigalia declared, angered while her husband turned to look at her.
"Don't worry my queen, they will pay. I will make sure of it..."Her husband said, glaring at the ghost boy.
He clearly didn't know when to give up. If anything, he and his wife kept desiring his end.
The heroes were now fighting off the locci rulers and their remaining soldiers.
"Moon Tiara Magic!..."
"Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber!..."
"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody..."
"Mars Flame Sniper..."
"Sparkling Wide Pressure..."
"Venus Love-Me Chain!..."
"Phantom...um...Ghostly Ice!..."Danny shouted as he used his ice powers, hoping that didn't sound lame.
Their combined attacks together wiped out what remained of the army, leaving the so-called king and queen alone. The king saw this and frowned.
"You just can't get good help these days..."He muttered.
"Indeed..."His wife agreed.
The Locci king saw Danny again and glared at him. Fists clenched, he let his blood boil.
"Your presence was unexpected. The one who helped us get here with his time travel magic never once mentioned a half ghost hero being allies with the guardians and I made the mistake of underestimating you. A mistake I won't make twice..."He declared as he went to the next step of their plan.
He placed his hand on his amulet and chanted some strange words and something unexpected happened. Regalis amulet soon glowed, and a strange, purple aura surrounded him and began to change him.
"Uh oh, what's he doing?!..." Venus asked, alarmed at this sudden change of events.
"Something not good, I can definitely be sure of that..." Luna said as she and Artemis tried to avoid the damage.
"Such fools, my beloved husband is finally going all out from the start, and he will crush you all like the bugs you really are!..."Rigalia said with a smirk, as she helped her husband by draining the last of the energy from their small squadron that was left and infused it into the king and herself.
"Oh man, this can't be good..."Danny said as he tried to stop them, but it was too late.
The king of the locci suddenly morphed, his eyes glowing red and the purple aura changing him. He wasn't the only one. The queen of the locci suddenly morphed too with a similar aura surrounding her. The locci king morphed and grew to 100 times his regular size, while his queen grew so big that the top of her head almost reached the clouds from above as she towered over many buildings. Needless to say, all of them were shocked by this sudden turn of events.
With the King and queen of locci's now kaiju sized, Danny slowly turned his head to the Sailor Guardians.
"Any chance you guys have giant robots that come together to form a bigger giant robot with a sword or something? Like the ones on TV?..." He asked nervously.
"Sorry, wrong team of colorful superheroes..." Mercury said with a semi-amused smile and shrug.
"Figures..." Danny said with a sigh.
He then tried to think of something that could allow them to think up a proper plan to deal with the giant locci problem. Danny Phantom then thought of something and turned to the group of heroes.
"Maybe we can distract them. Keep them from causing further damage to the surrounding buildings and people and maybe give the rest of us to find their weak points..."Danny said.
"What do you have in mind?..." Jupiter asked as her boyfriend began to explain.
After quickly informing the rest of the hero of his distraction idea, the Sailor Guardians understood what they had to do in order to take down the enemy once and for all.
"Don't you have the hard part?..." Venus asked Danny, who sighed.
"Lucky me..." Danny muttered.
The ghost boy tried to prepare himself for what he had to do while the villains continued to act cocky and arrogant. Especially thanks to the power boost the crystal had given them.
The same crystal that the queen of Locci's had used to bring her husband back for this final battle against their enemies.
"My King! With our supreme powered up forms, there is nothing that can stop us now!..."Queen Rigalia said.
"Remind me to thank Wiseman for giving us this rare opportunity for us to finally extend our territory! Perhaps a basket of treats?..."He half-heartedly suggested.
"He's dead, Dear..." The queen reminded him.
"Ah... never mind then." The king responds before an ugly sneer appears on his face. "The Sailor Guardians shall soon join him!..."He declared in a cruel way.
King Regalis marched through the streets, cackling while the Sailor Guardians spotted what was in his hands and panicked.
"That's a piece of the Black Crystal!..." Sailor Mercury called out.
Everyone but Danny gasped in shock.
"They... have what?..." Danny asked.
"The Black Crystal. It belonged to the Black Moon Clan..." Luna explained.
"Is that a rap group?..." Danny questioned.
"No. Time travelers who wanted to rewrite history to their liking... most of them, anyway..." Sailor Mars said.
Danny blinked.
"Wait...I think Makoto mentioned something about them a while back. So, I am assuming they really are the bad guys behind this too..."He muttered.
"No kidding. But... I thought the Crystal was gone. Destroyed..." Luna said.
"We borrowed this from Wiseman a long time ago..." Rigalia explained.
"You... borrowed it?..." Sailor Moon said.
"Which can only mean... we're from the future..." Regalis said.
"The Future?!..." All but Danny went.
"Now I see why Clockwork is involved..." Danny muttered.
"For you see... we Genius Locci have a vendetta against you Guardians! You have destroyed my servants for ages! I came back in time, before you would slay even the first one so that I may end your worthless lives and rewrite history to our advantage!..." King Regalis shouted, cackling madly as he did so.
"That can't be... we would never hurt anyone unless they intend to do harm..." Sailor Moon defended herself and her friends from events that they have yet to go through.
"Considering they were associated with Wiseman... I don't think his subjects were nice people..." Tuxedo Mask said frankly.
"Who's Wiseman though?..." Danny questioned.
"We'll fill you in later..." Sailor Jupiter said.
"But wait...we defeated the Black Moon Clan and likely rewrote history. If what you say is true, how are you still existing?..." Sailor Mercury asked.
"Our travel through time was...slower. I surmise that being in a state of quantum limbo shielded us, displaced us from history...but it matters not...for we are here!..."King Regalis aimed his sword at them.
"Indeed my King. Victory and vengeance is ours!..."Queen Rigalia said.
The heroes saw the villains begin charging up for another attack and tried to stand their ground.
"Okay...remember the plan." Danny said before taking into the air. "I got the hard part..." He took a deep breath.
"I'll be back!..." He took off.
As he flew, an idea came to Sailor Jupiter.
"That queen will probably keep him away..." She said.
"You wanna help him out, doncha?..." Venus asked, seeing a certain look on Jupiter's face.
"Yup..." Jupiter raised a fist with a thumb up.
With the Locci Leaders
"Where to destroy first?..." The King questioned.
"How about nowhere?!..." Danny Phantom asked, flying in and throwing a kick into the side of his head that made him lose footing for a moment.
"You again?! What is it going to take to be rid of you?!..."He bellowed in rage.
Danny simply punched him and he even sent two blasts of ecto energy that flashed right into the locci king's eyes, blinding him temporarily. The locci king screamed in as he shielded his eyes with one arm and violently swung his other arm in rage, but only managed to hit empty air while Danny Phantom kept out of the king's reach and tainted him by making more taunts to get under his skin.
Rigalia saw this and became even angrier than before.
"Your luck has just run out, you pest..."She said, planning to help her husband deal with the pest who tried to ruin their plans.
Before the queen could do anything, she was shot by a blast of electrical energy.
"WHAT?!..."Her screech of anger was matched only with the pain she felt as she turned to see who shot that.
Before her, atop a building was an intense looking Sailor Jupiter.
"Hey, Queenie! If you wanna fight someone, why not fight me?!..." Jupiter called out.
The evil locci queen saw her and narrowed her eyes at the sailor guardian.
"Insolent pest! You think you can take on the queen of all locci? Especially while I am in my ultimate form?!..."Rigalia sneered, the crystal's power making her more arrogant than usual as it allowed her to temporarily grow giant sized.
"I don't care if you are the size of a blimp now! I'll take you down all the same!..." Jupiter said, striking a nerve in the evil locci queen.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A BLIMP?! I'LL SHOW YOU THAT YOU HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST ME!..."Rigalia snapped, looking ready to destroy her.
However, the guardian of courage wasn't going to let her think that for long.
"Let's see if you can withstand my lightning!..." Jupiter said, as she prepared to attack.
Sailor Jupiter then sent a Sparkling Wide Pressure attack on her opponent, the attack of which sent the giant locci queen back.
"SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!..."Jupiter shouted.
The electrical attack that hit the locci queen sent a powerful jolt across her oversized body and even caused her hand, that was holding the dark crystal, to grip it tighter than before and damage it so much that visible cracks were all over it and caused further damage to the locci queen. Which all resulted in Rigalia shrinking in size and falling on her face.
"Nicely done, Mako-chan..."Sailor Moon praised.
"That should keep her down for now..."Sailor Mercury said.
"Exactly..."Jupiter said, but they knew this battle wasn't anywhere near over yet.
Meanwhile
Unaware of what had just happened with his wife, King Regalis continued to cackle madly, overconfident with his victory.
"None may stop me! I claim this land for my-..."
A chunk of ice hit the side of his head.
"Pipe down, will ya?!..." A familiar ghost boy's voice called out.
The king then noticed a certain ghost boy who stood on top of the king's face with his hands behind his head.
"You dare desecrate my mighty armor?!..."He shouted, reaching for Danny.
Danny flew away in time, crossing his arms in a faux-angered manner.
"Well, pardon me. This is so exhausting that I just needed a quick nap. Can't a guy get a decent 40 winks around here?..." He asked with sarcasm in his voice.
"The only rest I will grant you is in the GRAVEYARD!..." The king pulled out his giant sword.
"Been there, done that...kind of..." Danny commented as he second guessed his quip.
The half ghost boy decided to shake that thought out of his head for now as he focused on the enemy in front of him and fired an ecto-blast right into the king's face at point blank range.
"Annoying gnat! Be gone!..." King Regalis swung his sword, Danny narrowly avoiding in time.
"Where's a giant monster rampage when ya need one?..."He muttered under his breath.
As that went on, the Sailor Guardians were getting in place for their plan.
"Now just wait for Danny to get the king close and we'll do our part..." Mercury said.
Danny was seen narrowly avoiding the blade of the giant sword before Regalis used the dull side to swat him away.
"That might be a while..." Sailor Moon muttered with a nervous smile.
Danny spun in the air before being able to stop and rotate to not be upside down.
"One of these days, I gotta figure out how that size changing power thing works... Give Ultraman a run for his money..." Danny muttered before flying back to Regalis and firing shots from his fingers.
Regalis simply raised his sword, using the dull side to block them.
"You aim to defeat me like this? You are no more a threat to me now than a common variety fly..." The king dismissively talked down to Danny.
"We'll see about that!..." Danny said.
"Now... how do I get him to come closer?..." He thought.
The king swung his sword downward, Danny zipping to his right to narrowly avoid being cut in half. An idea forming, Danny sent a smile.
"And suddenly I want a video game of me doing this..." He said to himself as he decided to fly, doing a barrel roll around the sword that pierced the ground, circling it before Regalis attempted to grab hold of him with a free hand.
Thankfully, Danny avoided it as he flew up to the king's face before spinning like a top, kicking him with each spit. Regalis stepped back before pulling his sword out and swinging it horizontally. Thinking fast, Danny split himself in two, one at the bottom ducking, the other raising his legs up. Once the blade passed, the two reformed into one and started flying at the king.
Regalis, seeing this, stepped back once more and attempted to stab him, but Danny performed an aerial somersault before landing on the blade's dull side, running down until he reached the king's wrist.
"OFF, FLEA!..." The King's voice echoed as he tried to slap Danny, who used his ice powers to create icy spikes around him that forced the king to pull his hand away before making contact while continuing his trek.
He reached the area of the elbow, where he focused his power into his foot, jumping into the air and flying to the area that bends, swinging his kick and forcing the arm to bend.
The sudden motion causes the sword in Regalis' hand to fly upward, spinning in the air.
"MY WEAPON!..." Regalis called out before Danny got in his face and flashed a green light from his hand that blinded him a moment. "GAH! PEST!..."
Regalis swung his arm out as he covered his face with one hand but hit nothing. Danny reached the hilt of the giant sword and pulled it up, finding it somewhat heavy, even for him.
He attempted to hold it up when he momentarily let go to get to the middle of the hilt, only for him to fail to lift it up. Even for his strength, he found swinging the sword in a downward arc like in various action games and anime he's familiar with impossible to do with the size difference between him and the weapon. He gave up his fruitless attempt to have the sword's hilt over his shoulder and resume holding it by the tip of the hilt.
"Okay... I was hoping to take this thing and swing it like in a video game... guess I didn't take into account the size of the hilt alone compared to me..." He said as he barely held it by the tip of the hilt, as it required him to hold his arms out all the way to do so.
The king shook his face clear before seeing Danny hold his weapon, his blood boiling.
"HOW DARE YOU DESECRATE MY MIGHTY SWORD!..." He bellowed.
"You want this, Mega-Dork? Come get it!..." Danny taunted as he managed to pull the weapon, despite his struggle to hold onto it, towards the designated spot.
"He's doing it!..." Venus said excitedly.
"Aww... I was hoping he'd use it like a cool action game..." Moon moaned in disappointment.
"I know, right?..." Mars said with equal disappointment before noticing all eyes were on her, making her slightly flustered. "I mean...not the time!..." She weakly responded.
The ghost boy then used his ghostly cryokinesis abilities to completely freeze the sword well beyond its limits to endure cold temperatures and caused the metal sword to shatter into pieces that fell apart until only the handle was left. Danny then tossed the sword handle back to the now flabbergasted villain.
"All yours, Goldie..." Danny snarked.
Regalis reached for his weapon, but that's when the Guardians made their move.
"BUBBLE SPRAY!..." Called out Sailor Mercury, creating a bubbly mist that blocked sight of the sword from its master.
"What trickery is this?!..." Regalis called out as he was unable to reach his sword in time.
"Now, take your shots!..." Mercury called out.
"Burning... Mandala!..." Mars fired at the left knee.
"Tuxedo La Bomber!..." Tuxedo Mask fired at the right.
Their attacks land as Regalis hissed. Pulling away, he fell to his rear. He tried to get up when two other Guardians, rivals in love, nodded to each other and aimed for his back.
"Crescent Beam!..." Venus shouted as she aimed.
"Sparkling Wide Pressure!..." Jupiter readied a ball of condensed energy.
Both fired and knocked him forward, causing him to bend forward and give Sailor Moon the opening she needed.
"My turn!..." She said as she held out the Silver Crystal.
"You dare to think you can dethrone a king?!..." Regalis questioned.
"Watch me!..." Sailor Moon took aim.
"Now! To rid the universe of the Malefic Black Crystal for good! Silver Crystal! Purge this darkness forever!..."She declared as she used all of the power she had at the moment.
And with that, the Malefic Black Crystal power inside the king was purged. Its light reached the same crystal used and was destroyed by the light of the Silver Crystal.
"NOOO!..." Regalis called out as he got on his knees and clutched onto his crown.
"The crystal!..." Rigalia appeared to hover close to her husband's head.
"Now's our chance! Everyone, fire!..." Sailor Mercury directed where to shoot.
Where the queen was, near the face of the king.
"SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!..."
"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM!..."
"BURNING MANDALA!..."
"TUXEDO SMOKING BOMBER!..."
"Umm...Phantom...Ghost Canon?!..." Danny shouted, trying his best to sync up with the other heroes.
The combined attacks were moments from hitting their targets. As the King and Queen of the Locci felt their power vanishing from their bodies, they left their final thoughts on where they went wrong.
"NANI?!..." Both the king and queen shouted in sync, but it was too late for them.
Both the King and Queen exploded in the skies, while The Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask did their iconic hero poses. Danny Phantom tried to do a heroic pose, which got mixed reactions from the Japanese superheroes.
It seemed lame by comparison as all he did was bend a knee and raise his fists upwards.
"I don't fight like I'm in a choreographed music video, okay?!..." Danny responded in a defensive way.
"It's okay, Danny-kun..."Jupiter said in a sheepish way, trying to cheer her new boyfriend up.
"I mean... for a first, it's not bad..." Moon went to try and be empathetic.
"Exactly! You just need more practice..." Mercury said.
"B for effort, I guess..." Mars said with arms crossed, ignoring the glare he sent her.
"That's A for Effort, even I know that..." Venus said with a nervous smile and a sweat drop.
"I know what I said..." Mars responded, ignoring the glares her friends were sending her.
"Ignore her. Rei's just being mean for the sake of it..."Moon said, ignoring the glare from the dark-haired girl.
"And we have been doing these poses for a long time, it's become a habit..."Jupiter said, trying to make Danny feel better.
"Do you want us to teach you how to do that later?..." Venus asked.
"No...Yes? Uh...ask me again later..." Danny responded as he pointed to where their fallen foe were.
Queen Rigalia was soundly defeated as her giant body slowly fell backwards while shrinking back to her original size. She also felt a lot of pain right now.
"Ow..."She said flatly before passing out.
Her king was no better, as he was barely struggling to remain conscious.
"It...was...supposed to be...d-d-different...this time..."He said before passing out.
Then the growing lights from both Regalis and Rigalia's eyes faded into black as they both became motionless and unmoving. With the king and queen of the locci now defeated, the heroes finally took a breath.
"Finally..."Danny said.
"Are they...you know...defeated...for good?..."Sailor Moon asked, sounding unsure.
"After last time, I'm not sure..."Sailor Mercury said.
"Me neither but they all better be, or we'll all have to start carrying around some bug repellent..."Danny said.
"Don't worry. This time they are gone for good...I'll make sure of it..." Clockwork said as he appeared out of nowhere and startled some of the heroes.
Danny saw him and frowned.
"Nice of you to finally show up, now that the fight is already over and done with..."The ghost boy complained, since his friend had told them that they had nothing to worry about.
"If I had shown up earlier than there wouldn't have been any need for any of you to be here..." Clockwork said, explaining what had happened.
The heroes still seemed unsure about his words, but the master of time then raised his staff, and it started to glow.
"Do not worry, the locci problem is no more. I will deal with these annoyances once and for all..." Clockwork said as he gently slammed his staff on the ground.
Suddenly in an instant, all of the loccis immediately turned into ashes, including the king and queen themselves. They were no more. Ending as nothing more than a pile of dust on the dirt.
"What happened? Why didn't you tell us there would be another attack and that someone else was helping them by giving them a way to travel through time travel magic?..." Mars demanded, angry.
"At the time, it was knowledge that didn't need to be acknowledged. No one can know too much about the future. Remember knowledge is power, but too much of it will leave you blind to the truth. But don't worry, this will be the last you see of these two idiots and their many subjects..." Clockwork said with a wave.
"But...I'm still so confused...why did they seem so surprised and why did they keep saying I wasn't supposed to be here?..." Danny asked.
"Time works in mysterious ways..." Clockwork said vaguely.
"What does that mean?..." Sailor Moon asked, not getting it.
"You all will understand when the time is right..." Clockwork answered equally vaguely as before, causing even more confusion amongst the heroes.
"Still as vague and cryptic as always, but since you're here in person then that must mean that this giant headache of a problem is finally over..." Danny said, both relieved and overjoyed that the annoying enemy is gone for good this time and never coming back.
"Indeed. I apologize that I couldn't give more information at the time but don't worry. I will find a way to make up for this inconvenience on a later date. Right now, I am needed elsewhere. Time business and stuff like that. Until then, just enjoy the rest of your vacation as promised..."The time master said, while the heroes wondered what he meant.
The time master soon took the ashes of the once King Regalis and his Queen Rigalia. However, he wasn't taking the ashes with but was actually about to throw them away and dropping it into a portal to an endless void.
"And that takes care of that..." Clockwork said without a hint of emotion, while all the heroes looked at him with shock, astonishment and a tiny bit of fear...all but one that is.
"Is that some sort of space trash can?..." Sailor Moon asked curiously, causing Clockwork to pause before answering her question.
"Yes, but this one is unique. Mainly because nothing comes out of it...ever..." Clockwork said with his vacant expression.
Aside from the ghostly Master of Time's emotionless expression just now, all the heroes were just glad the underwhelming enemies were completely out of their lives. Now that the annoying problematic enemies were gone, there was only one real issue to handle for the new superhero couple.
Danny and Makoto soon turned to see Minako. The young couple were a little hesitant to approach the blonde heroine at first, but both Danny and Makoto knew that they needed to talk to Minako.
"Look...Mina..I...um..."Danny said.
"I'm terribly sorry. We...um..."Makoto tried, while her friend stopped her and sent her a reassuring smile.
"It's all right. Like I said earlier, I'm okay with it. I've actually found out about you two a few hours ago during your date today..." Minako said, surprising them.
"You did?..."Danny and Makoto asked.
The blonde girl nodded.
"Yeah, I saw you guys together on another date, so I put two and two together..."Minako said, trying to put a brave smile on her face.
"Mina-chan..."Makoto tried to say something, but her friend spoke up again.
"I mean it, I'm okay. Seriously..."She said, trying to be sincere with her words.
"I'm not upset, I'm a little sad, but not upset. In fact, I'm happy that Makoto finally found herself a guy that adores her for who she is and loves her for the wonderful person that she is. You two really deserve each other. Just promise me you'll be happy together. That's all I ask..." The blonde girl said, sounding surprisingly understanding.
Makoto smiled when she heard this and soon found herself hugging her friend.
"Thank You, Mina-chan. I'm so glad to have a friend like you..." Sailor Jupiter said, as she gave her best friend a quick hug.
Minako said nothing but smiled slightly as she hugged Makoto in the end. Once the hug ended both sailor guardians smiled brightly at each other as their friendship remained as strong as ever.
"Good luck. I know that you'll find your fated boyfriend too someday..." Makoto said, truly wanting her to find happiness too.
"Thank Mako-chan. I hope you and Danny-kun have a long-lasting and loving relationship and find your happiness together..." Minako said, smiling slightly at her.
Danny saw this and smiled, truly appreciating Minako's kindness.
"I guess that I should consider myself lucky they are both such great girls...and great friends too..." He thought, glad that Minako will be okay.
Sure, he might not have chosen her, but he still wanted her to be happy.
"You're a great girl, Minako and I know that you'll find someone soon..." Danny said, meaning every work of it.
"You think so?..." Minako asked.
"Totally. You'll never really know who will enter your life in this world of ours. And when you ever do meet your future boyfriend, I'm sure that once he gets to know the real you then he'll feel like the luckiest guy in the world..."Danny said, being sincere.
The blonde girl smiled and giggled.
"That's just what I needed to hear, Thanks Danny-kun. I also hope that you two find happiness together. I mean it..."She said, before she left since the danger was over and they were no longer needed here.
The other heroes had soon left after her, leaving the new couple alone. They were glad that the thing with Minako had been resolved peacefully, that's for sure.
Danny and Makoto soon turned to each other and smiled.
"Mina really is a good person..."Makoto said, happy with her friend's kindness and sincerity.
"Yeah, she is..."Danny admitted.
"Having second thoughts?..."Makoto asked, almost sounding insecure but Danny held her hand.
"No. I chose you for a reason. I'm not suddenly gonna change my mind. Especially after I managed to find such an amazing girl..."Danny said as he lightly kissed it, reassuring her that he wasn't gonna regret his choice.
Makoto's face turned bright red, nearly fainting after hearing that.
"Oh my!..."She thought in shyness, trying hard not to pass out from happiness right now and tried to act composed.
"So...I guess...I should head home now...again..." Makoto said with a slightly blushing smile.
"Want me to walk you home? Again?..." Danny offered, before he thought of something else. "Or better yet, how about a flight?..." He suggested.
"I'd like that, Danny-Kun..." Makoto said, smiling at the idea.
Danny soon changed forms and picked Makoto up bridal style, he soon took to the skies and held her close in his arms.
The young couple both smiled at each other and felt their respective hearts beating fast from how close their faces are to each other, while both unaware at the moment that they both have a very bright future ahead of them.
A future that was already starting to change, but that's a story that has yet to be told. Unknown to them, Chibi-Usa saw the entire battle from a distance, a suspicious look on her face.
"Clockwork? Phantom? How come I never heard of either of them?..."She thought, before she went back home.
So many questions and no answers for any of them yet.
Meanwhile
Clockwork and his guest saw this and both smiled proudly at the couple.
"They're such a cute couple..." The guest commented.
"True, Sailor Pluto..." Clockwork replied.
His guest, who was apparently the sailor guardian of time, sent him a serious look.
"You do realize this is only just the beginning...and what happens to the girls and that ghost child is both of our responsibilities now. Right?..."She pointed out.
"I know. It's just as I stated before, everything that happens the way it is meant to..."Clockwork said, not worried at all.
"I'm beginning to think that you enjoy saying that..." Sailor Pluto teased.
"I believe I've said it so many times that it's almost become second nature to me by now..." Clockwork replied, neither confirming nor denying Sailor Pluto's teasing.
"Remember that this is only ONE of many paths our young heroes could have taken..." He reminded her.
"And because of your meddling, two new paths have been forged...both of which will be yours to oversee now..." Pluto reminded him.
"I already oversee all possible outcomes of time, what's two more compared to the infinite other timelines and universes that aren't even related to this one..." Clockwork said, not worried.
"You do keep yourself busy watching over all those infinite worlds. I'm surprised that you still managed to retain your sanity..." Sailor Pluto said.
"And that's because you don't have to endure the Observants..." Clockwork said, before leaving.
"True, but I assume it's also because you have your occasional meet up with that Professor friend of yours?..." Sailor Pluto said in a teasing way.
The time master ignored that remark, before they went back to keeping an eye on their young friends, who still were unaware that a new future has been set for the two of them.
