Benson sulked sadly through the staff enterance of the Super Bowl. He had tried so hard to create a great marching band and everything went horribly wrong. Now here he was. Alone. And with no band at all.

"I knew this was going to happen," he bemoaned to himself. "They're just gonna have to find another band to play. I just hope that... GENE DOESN'T FIND OUT! RANGER GENE! AAAAAAUUUGH!!!"

As if things couldn't be worse, there was Ranger Gene, leaning against a wall with a smug grinn.

"What are you doing here?!" Benson asked in shock and confusion. "I thought you had park duties this week!"

Gene just laughed, "Oh, Benson, you are too easy! I lied about all that stuff, just so I could watch you blow it! So... where's your band?" He asked mockingly.

Benson sweated, really unsure of how to answer that, as he definitely didn't want Gene to know that everything had been a total disaster.

"Uh... they couldn't come, they... died," he nervously replied, attempting to use the excuse he made up last night.

"Then who's that?" Gene pointed behind him.

Benson turned around and screamed, "AAH! That would be my band!"

Sure enough, there stood Finn and all the others dressed in red marching band uniforms. Thomas stood with them, wearing an assistant director's cap, headset, and even held a clipboard.

"We're ready to perform, Benson," Finn saluted.

"Well, Benson," Gene said, putting his arm on Benson's shoulder. "This is exactly how I pictured your band would look."

Finn was doing a silly dance with his tongue flapping out.

"That's his... eager face," Benson said.

Then he turned and walked sadly towards the enterance to the football field, while Gene pointed and laughed at him; this was going to be even better then he thought. Everyone ignored the jerk park ranger and followed after Benson. Soon they all stood before the doors to the football field, waiting for their que.

Benson put on a band uniform of his own and sighed dismally, "I guess this will be the last time I can show my face in this town."

"That's the spirit, Benson!" Finn beamed.

Soon, the doors opened and the band rushed out onto the field.

The stadium announcer spoke, "Okay, football fans, put your hands together for the Townsville Super Band!"

The crowd roared and cheered with exicitment. Everyone just looked up at the crowd in bewilderment, noticing how very un-cartoony they looked.

"These are some ugly looking toons," Ed stated.

"Maybe we're near one of those A.I. Generation outlettes," Double D suggested.

"I think I'm gonna be sick!" K'nuckles remarked, while Flapjack and Bubblie held onto each other and everyone else looked repulsed.

Benson nervously got out his baton as Thomas gave him a quick shoulder rub to calm him dow.

"Okay, everybody," he quickly glaced back to see Gene grinning smugly, waiting for him and the band to make fools of themselves. "Let's get this over with," he said meekly, not noticing Thomas give the band a thumbs up. Benson shakily raised his baton and counted off, "One... two... three... four..." Benson turned his head away and closed his eyes, not wanting to look.

Then Kaz, Jackie Khones, Sheep, Principle Pixie Frog, Slinkman, Dexter, Mr Gus, Lumpus, Tulip, Rodger, Ophelia, Jamie, Skips, Coop, Wilt, and Cow all held out their trumpets and blew out a triumphant opening score.

Benson's eyes shot open in surprise at what he'd just heard.

Chesnut played a solo on a keyboard and the trumpet blows partted to reveal Finn standing with a microphone in hand. Then a spotlight shown down on him as he began to sing...

[Finn]

The winner takes all...

It's the thrill of one more kill!

The last one to fall...

Benson stared speechless as Finn sang on.

[Finn]

Will never sacrifce their will!

Then two collums of smoke errupted from the ground as the band broke into an epic rock ballad. Ed on drums, Juniper on guitar, Jake on bass, Bubbie on a saxaphone, and the rest of the band all sang backup.

[Finn and chorus]

Don't ever look back

On the wind closing in

The only attack

Were their wings on the wind

Gene mouth hung open in utter shock at what he was seeing. Benson noticed this and gave his rival a his own smug grinn

[Finn]

Oh the daydream begins

Benson then tossed his baton away and pointed with his hands.

[Finn and chorus]

And it's sweet, sweet, sweet victory

[Finn with Chesnut]

YEAH!

[Finn]

And it's ours for the taking

And it's ours for the fight

Gene was so overwelmed by the shock and amesomeness of the preformance, that he clutched his chess as if he'd just had a heart attack and fell back onto a stretcher. The the paramedics from Camp Kindney carried him off going, "Hup hup hup hup hup."

[Finn and Chorus]

And it's sweet, sweet, sweet victory,

Benson saw the whole thing and waved a mock "bye bye" to Gene. Then he ran out and threw his fists into the air as two more collums of smoke blew up from the ground.

[Finn]

And the world is ours to follow

Juniper slid onto one knee and shredded a guitar solo.

Ed banged the drums.

And Benson leaped into the air with a huge smile on his face as the crowds cheered.

[Finn and Chorus]

Sweet sweet sweet victory

Against all the odds, and dispite the very rocky start, the Townsville marching band had managed to pull off the most amazing performance at the Super Bowl. And Benson couldn't have been happier.
