The infamous Biology class was here.
Oh look there was only seat left to guess who...right Edward Cullen which would have been more intimidating if I didn't just have to be around him for the first half of the day.
Only two more classes. Biology and Spanish then I was home free.
As soon as I sat down I noticed as Edward to in a lungful of air, no doubt smelling me, but unlike canon he didn't shirk away instead he leaned forward. A smile instead of a scowl on his lips.
"Isa."
I nodded, "Edward." Before setting out my green notebook for biology and my textbook and writing implements.
"So why did you move to Forks?"
"I prefer the rainy weather to the heat of Arizona. I missed my father and my mother remarried."
I promptly answered several questions he might have asked at once.
He hummed beneath his breath, "I see."
We listened as Mr Banner went on to review recent experiments and the lessons that could be learned. Along with a projector slides of coming with future lab assignments for the week.
"Any questions?"
I raised my hand, "Should I give you my note for excuse for the blood-typing now or the day of?"
"Get sick from the sight of blood?" The teacher raised an eyebrow.
"A combination of anything sharp and blood."
Mr Banner walked up and held out his hand and I placed the note in his hand.
"How did you have that prepared?"
I didn't even glance at Edward I just nodded in thanks to the teacher. "There was always a chance. So I had my dad sign a note just in case."
It was a necessary precaution even if it was based on a fib. All agents DNA was odd after all their missions, plus if Charlie ever found out I wasn't his real daughter I don't know what he'd do. I think he'd still love me, but I feel like there would still be a sort of disconnect. The what ifs could drive anyone mad.
"Isa." Was spoken in my ear and I turned to find Edward with an intense look in his eyes, thankfully they were still golden.
"I apologize I got lost in my thoughts."
The lights of the classroom were put down as Mr Banner put on an educational video for the rest of the class.
I glanced at Edward wondering what he might of heard in my thoughts. When I got lost in them often my mind's barriers eased and fragments of thoughts should slip through.
The lights from the television caused odd shadows to pass over his stone like features, rather eerie.
"Who are you Isa Swan?"
Well I hadn't been expecting that.
"I'm just a person trying to live life, hoping for my eventual happily ever after." I smirked, "Not so different from the rest of mankind, am I?"
The rest of class Edward was blissfully quiet and once the bell rang I got up and got my things together only for him to stand near me.
"We have Spanish together. I'll walk with you there."
When we arrived who should arrive also in my last class but the last Cullen, Emmett.
Tall with broad shoulders, he had to nearly duck to walk into the classroom. Dark cropped hair and big expressive eyes.
"You must be Isa!" He spoke very loudly. "Welcome to Forks!"
"This is Emmett."
I nodded my head, "Nice to meet you Emmett."
Before I passed him not missing as he smelled me as I passed, a big grin as he stage whispered to Edward. "Freshly cut grass."
So it would seem the soother ability did give me a certain scent different for each of them. Interesting.
