Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter twenty-eight of "Running From Here." Ranger action continues in this chapter. I decided to have Velociraptors stand guard outside the control room in the Visitor Center to show they can be protective of humans and not just each other. Chapter 29: Getting Thrown Around Like Crazy
Kim felt her back hit the wall next to the doors ten minutes later. A Putty rushed its fist at her face. She kicked it away from her. Two Putter got a hold of her. Their companion gave her multiple punches to her stomach. She used her foot to shove it away. She pulled herself out of its companions' grasp. She took their arms to smack them together. She heaved them into the air after jumping over them. They slammed their heads on a lamppost. They fell flat on their backs. She smiled in victory, only to be ambushed by Scorpina.
"Didn't your mother ever tell you to keep your eyes on your surroundings at all times?" Scorpina asked sinisterly while wrapping her arms around her. "Otherwise, look what happens!"
"Didn't you ever learn not to expect this?" Kim said and moved her leg upward, hitting her in the groin to free herself. She turned around with a smirk. "Hurts, doesn't it?"
Scorpina snarled. "Why, you little—"
Scorpina swing her sword at Kim, who performed a palm strike to the chin. Kim did a hard backhand to the cheek, sending her stumbling off to the side. Scorpina regained her balance. She aimed a swing for her enemy's head with her sword. Kim dove for the ground and unsheathed her Blade Blaster. She gritted her teeth while breathing heavily.
Kim looked up to see Scorpina swinging her sword at her. She stopped her in her tracks by jamming the Blade Blaster's hilt into her stomach. She attempted a swing, but she was blocked by the sword. Scorpina knocked the weapon out of her hands before hitting her in the face with her fist. She grabbed her by the throat and threw her.
Kim flew through the air, landing on her side. She got up as Scorpina approached her. She aimed her fist for her head and was blocked by her opponent's arm. Scorpina headbutted her roughly and landed multiple punches on her face. She knocked her off her feet by swinging her weapon at them. She took her arm, forcing her to stand.
"It's time for another beatdown!" Scorpina announced.
All of a sudden, laser beams hit the ground in front of the scorpion-woman and exploded, which caused her to lose her grip on Kim. She spotted Tommy, who held Saba steady.
"You're the only one who is getting a beatdown, Scorpina!" Tommy yelled.
Scorpina snarled. "Take this, Power Twerp!"
Scorpina shot lightning from her fingertips. Tommy jumped off to the side. He fired Saba's eyebeams, which were deflected by the sword. She charged at him, roaring loudly. She did a swing for his head, missing when he backflipped. He jabbed Saba's head into her side, hearing her groan. He rammed his thumbs into her eyes. She cried out painfully, rubbing them frantically. He pulled her feet out from underneath her.
Scorpina rolled to the side when Tommy tried to punch her in the head. She got to her feet. She delivered a hard kick to the stomach. She hit him in the back with her sword before using her foot to shove him. He found himself on his side. She took Saba away from him, throwing him aside. She put her foot on his shoulder. She pressed down on it. He yelled in pain. He tried to push the weight off him.
Scorpina felt something hit her in the back of her head. She lost her grip on Tommy, stumbling forward. She spun around to see Kim holding her Blade Blaster. She attempted to punch her in the face. Kim jabbed her weapon her in the cheek. She scored hits in the side and back before swinging it at her feet to knock her on her back. She ran to his side and helped him up.
"You all right, Tommy?" Kim asked.
"Yeah. Thanks," Tommy answered. They heard garbling and spotted a Putty toward them. He offered his hand and emitted a light laugh. "You want this dance?"
"My pleasure," Kim said, taking it.
"Yes!" Tommy said. "Here we go!"
Tommy twirled Kim around with a determined growl. She kicked the Putty in its chest. It stumbled backward, falling on its butt. It fell to pieces. He released his hold on her. He high-fived her.
"Great teamwork," Tommy said gleefully.
"Morphinomical," Kim replied with a laugh. They spotted three Putties heading their way and Scorpina getting up. "We better take these bozos."
"Yeah," Tommy agreed and exhaled sharply. He headed for Scorpina while she dealt with the Putties.
Jason shoved a Putty into a tree. He backflipped twice as another leapt for him. He spun around to punch one in the face as it came up behind her. He took hold of its arms, jumping over its head. He landed behind it in which he threw it upward. It banged its head on a lamppost before ending up on its back. He walked up to it, punching it in the chest. It fell apart very quickly.
Jason hit a Putty with his fist and cartwheeled out of the way of one that attempted to grab him. He unsheathed his Blade Blaster. He jabbed the hilt into another Putty's face. He was grabbed by three Putties. He dropped the weapon. A fourth Putty appeared and kicked it out of sight. It approached him and proceeded to land hard punches on his stomach.
Jason shoved the Putty away with his foot. He broke free of its companions' grasp. He spun around to do a spinning heel kick to their faces. Two Putties moved to grab him. They missed when he ducked. He grabbed their arms and flipped them over on the backs. The last Putty tackled him. It beat on him with its fists. He managed to get away from it. He jabbed his heel into its face. He swept it off its feet with a swing of her arm.
Jason laughed victoriously, only to be silenced when three Putties pounced on her. He was kicked and punched by them countless times. He elbowed the noses of the first two Putties before slamming their heads together. He tossed them into the bush, watching them flip over it after they hit it. He jumped as their companion leapt for her, causing it to collide with the ground.
Another Putty wrapped its arms around Jason. It rammed its head into his neck. It threw him to the ground. It forced him to his feet to give him a hard punch to the face. He jammed his thumbs into its eyes. It garbled loudly and angrily. It rubbed them frantically. He performed a rough headbutt. He took its arm, throwing it into the trashcan. He smiled at seeing it fall on its back. He curled his hand into a fist.
"That was a nice fall you had, Putty!" Jason blurted out
Scorpina ambushed the Red Ranger from the side. She wrapped her arms around him with a snarl. He stepped on her foot. This broke him out of her grasp. He hit her in the chest with both of his elbows. He spun around and did a series of bear strikes to the chin. She clenched her teeth while backhanding him across the face. She grabbed his throat to give him a headbutt. He slammed his fist into her side, getting her to let go. He kicked her off her feet.
"What's the matter, Scorpina, a little slow on your feet?" Jason asked.
Scorpina chuckled. "I don't know about that!"
A Putty grabbed Jason and wrapped its arms around him. He struggled against its grasp to no avail. Another Putty took hold of him. Its companion moved its hands to his shoulder and arm. They forced him to face Scorpina, who walked up to him after getting up.
"I am going to enjoy this," Scorpina said, cackling evilly. "Here I go!"
Scorpina charged her sword with lightning and sent it into Jason. He cried out painfully. The Putties let go of him as she ceased her assault on him. He dropped to one knee. She kicked him in the face. He ended up on his back. She grabbed his throat and forced him to his feet. The Putties took hold of him again. They tightened their grip on him.
"Here comes another dose of lightning," Scorpina said with a cackle. "Oh, yes."
All of a sudden, Tommy flipped through the air and kicked Scorpina down. Kim punched the Putties to free Jason. He landed on his feet as Kim and Jason joined his side.
"I don't think so, Scorpina!" Tommy shouted fiercely.
"You're not doing anything to Jason, not if we have anything to do with it!" Kat added.
Scorpina snarled. "Why you troublesome teenagers! Take this!"
Scorpina charged her sword with lightning and threw it at her enemies. Tommy, Kim and Jason jumped in different directions. Three Putties confronted Tommy. They threw punches at him. He blocked them with his arms. He performed a spinning heel kick. He nailed them in their faces. They fell down, but they got right back up.
The first Putty threw a punch. It got a fist to the face from Tommy before getting another to its chest. It fell to pieces. He dove for the ground as another flew at him with its foot aimed at his head. It landed, turning around with an angry garble. It charged at him, only to get a kick to the face. He uppercutted in the neck four times before kicking its feet out from underneath it. He tightened his fists.
The third Putty grabbed Tommy from behind. It threw him into a tree. It approached him and started punching him in the stomach multiple times. He shoved it away with his foot. He spotted Saba laying on the road. He rushed to get him. He saw the Putty and its companion running for him. He held up Saba, who fired his eye beams. They nailed the Putties in their chests, causing them to fall apart. He saw two more Putties coming toward him. He went to deal with them.
Scorpina swung her arm at Kim, who ducked. Kim returned to her full height and punched her in the face. Scorpina kicked her in the stomach. She grabbed her in a headlock. Kim elbowed her in the chest. She felt her lose her grasp on her. She hit her in the face with the back of her fist. She wrapped her arms around her waist after turning around. She rushed her toward a tree, slamming her against it. Scorpina delivered a punch to her stomach, forcing her to let go of her. She grabbed her throat, choking her.
"You thought you could get me, Kimberly?" Scorpina yelled and laughed sinisterly. "Well, you won't this time!"
Scorpina lowered Kim, tossing her into the air. Kim went flying, crashing into a large boulder. She ended up on the ground. Scorpina walked up to her with her lightning-charged sword. She sent it into her. Kim cried out painfully while looking up at the sky. Scorpina ceased her assault on her before punching her in the head. She grabbed her throat and started choking her again.
Just then, Jason pulled Scorpina off Kim. Scorpina made a swing for his head with her sword. She missed as he moved back. He punched her in the face and uppercutted her in chest. He scored a hit in the stomach with his fist. She headbutted him before backhanding him. She swept his feet out from underneath him. She raised her sword high, bringing it downward.
Jason summoned his Power Sword and held it up in which he caught his enemy's. She pressed down with a fierce growl. He grunted, getting her weapon away from him. He stood up, a determined grunt coming from him. He swung his weapon around, knocking hers out of her hand. He jammed the hilt in her face. She backhanded him before forming a fireball in her armed hand and throwing it at him.
Jason was struck in the chest and sent flying backward. He crashed into the ground. He struggled to stand. Scorpina walked up to him, forcing him to his feet. She smacked him across the face, causing him to fall on his stomach. She was struck in the cheek by the end of Kim's Power Bow. She stumbled off to the side. Kim stood in front of him, her breathing hard and heavy.
"You're not doing another number on Jason, bitch!" Kim declared with much ferocity.
"You fool!" Scorpina snarled and formed an energy ball in her unarmed hand. "Taste this!"
Scorpina screamed fiercely as she threw the ball, only to miss when Kim ducked. Kim returned to her full height and aimed an arrow at the ground. She let go of it. It hit the area in front of her enemy and exploded in which it knocked her back. Scorpina charged at her once the smoke clear. Kim kicked her in the knee. She performed a series of punches to her face. She yelled as if she were a maniac.
Scorpina pushed Kim away from her. She walked up to her to perform a headbutt. Kim stumbled backward, but she regained her footing. Unfortunately, it wasn't in time for her to avoid one of Scorpina's fireballs. She was sent barreling into a table. She fell on her stomach. Scorpina started to go toward her, but Tommy stopped her by ramming himself into her. They started to fight.
Kim managed to make it to her feet. Four Putties ambushed her from the side. They alternated between kicking and punching her. She broke free of them. She did punches to the first two in their faces. She kicked their companions in their stomachs after grabbing their arms. They pulled themselves out of her grasp. They took hold of her while another delivered hard punches to her stomach. She kicked it away. She got herself free from its companions. She proceeded to fight them.
Scorpina formed a fireball in her unarmed hand. She threw it at Tommy, who dove for the pavement. He jumped up and ran at her with Saba held high. She tossed another fireball at him. He leapt upward to avoid it. He headed for his enemy. He brought Saba down in a swift stroke. She held up her arm to block him as he landed. She pulled Saba away from him. He tried to get him back, but she kept him at bay with her other hand.
"Try as you may, White Ranger, but you're not getting this guy back!" Scorpina growled.
"I will if it's the last thing I do!" Tommy shouted in defiance. "Oh, yes."
Tommy struck Scorpina in the face with his fist. He attempted to kick Saba out of her hand, but she stopped him with an elbow to the head. She smiled sinisterly and made an upward swing at him with the weapon. She scored a hit that threw him through the air. He collided with a tree. He found himself on his stomach and groaned loudly.
Scorpina spun around punched Jason in the stomach when she caught him sneaking up behind her in the corner of her eye. She backhanded him across the face. He swung his Power Sword at her. He scored a hit on the shoulder, causing her to cry out in pain. He attempted to kick her, only for his opponent to catch his foot in his hand. She got hold of his throat and threw him. He landed on his back, dropping his Power Sword.
Scorpina charged her armed hand with lightning as she went toward Jason. She sent it in into him, relishing at hearing his cries of pain. Kim flipped through the air and kicked chest in the face. Scorpina stumbled backward, barely regaining her footing. She stared at her as her enemy landed. She watched her stand in front of Jason defensively. He narrowed his eyes at her.
"Get away from Jason, bitch! I mean it!" Kim shouted.
"You'll regret interfering, Pink!" Scorpina yelled and clenched her teeth rather tightly. "Taste a little fire!"
Scorpina formed a fireball in his hand. She tossed it at Kim, who leapt upward to avoid it. She got a kick to the chest from her. She stumbled, but she didn't fall down. Kim aimed the end of her Power Bow at her head, only for her to knock it out of her hands. Scorpina delivered four punches to her stomach. She fired lightning from her fingertips, scoring hits on her. Kim flew backward into a trashcan. She ended up on her stomach.
Kim got to her feet, only to be ambushed by three Putties. She got out of their grasp. She kicked the first Putty in the stomach before elbowing the second in the beak. The third Putty tackled her to the ground. It began to beat on her with its fist. Its companions joined it. Jason rushed to help her, only to be stopped by Scorpina grabbing him. He kicked her away, and they began their duel. Squatt and Baboo came out of the bushes.
"This is so much fun!" Squatt said in excitement.
"I have another idea. Let's take Scorpina and some Putties and go play with the others inside the Visitor Center," Baboo suggested and clapped multiple times.
"Great!" Squatt said eagerly. He looked toward the Putties and let out a loud whistle. Fourteen Putties and Scorpina looked toward him and his best friend. "Hey, Scorpina and Putties! Let's go play with the other Power Rangers and the Jurassic Park survivors!"
"That's a great idea, Squatt!" Scorpina called eagerly as she kicked Jason away from her. "Come on, Putties! Let's go!"
The Putties, Scorpina, Squatt, and Baboo started heading toward the stairs. Jason began making his way toward them, but two Putties grabbed him and proceeded to beat him up. Tommy and Kim started heading toward the group, only to be ambushed by four Putties from the side. The villains and the Putties went through the doors.
