[Mission Accomplished: Get Kidnapped

Reward: 1000 points]

Really? was my first thought, that was a mission?

Not that I was going to complain, not when I

might need another enhancement to survive whatever the rogues would throw at me.

I was no fairytale princess I wasn't just going to wait to be rescued.

"Our pet is waking."

As I blinked my eyes open I saw a vamp with crimson hair and matching eyes running her hands through my hair.

Now where Rosalie's pets felt soothing these ran a shiver down my spine.

"Who are you?"

The redhead grinned placing a hand to her chest, "Well I'm Victoria and you've met my mate James."

I glanced to the side and saw the blonde James giving a shark toothed grin. Out of the corner of my eye I could just make out the chain and manacle attached to my left ankle.

The goal was for them not to tell me what they were. I wanted plausible deniability for as long as I could. I didn't need the Volturi's attention.

"Am I your prisoner now?"

I was in a cabin. A door leading out to a living room open in front of me and a bathroom to my left. A tiny window that I would not be able to fit through high up on my right.

"Oh I wouldn't want you to think so negatively. Just think you are forever ours."

Right I needed to get an enhancement that made the vampire bite ineffective.

I had no intention to ever become a vampire. I wanted to have a big family one day. Children of my own, a well lived life.

What I worried about was how vulnerable I'd be for whatever time frame the enhancement would take.

It was also still unclear how my soother abilities affected them.

James had made that embarrassing sound when he first met me. Victoria liked petting me and wasn't there supposed to be another vamp with them...yes, Laurent. I'd yet to see him.

I saw him at lunch.

Laurent eyed me curiously and I looked back at him with the same curiosity. Olive skin that shimmered when rays from the small window hit him, crimson eyes and long black hair tied with a velvet ribbon that was dark sage green.

He held up a tray of food, "I made something for you." His French accent was soft and pleasant. My stomach grumbled, "It seems they forgot to feed you."

As he set the tray on my lap I noticed him take a sniff near me.

"You are a curious little one aren't you?"

"What's your name?"

"Laurent."

I regulated my heart beat to tell an almost truth. I widened my eyes, "I have a friend that had a dream about a Laurent, she said his soulmate was in Alaska." I shrugged, "I don't know if I believe in soulmates but I suppose anything is possible." I looked at the sandwich, "Thank you for the meal."

His eyes were wide and then they narrowed in interest. He sat on the edge of the bed.

"Did your friend tell you anything else about the dream?"

I tilted my head to the side as if I was thinking, "I believe there was a name..."

He was patient watching as I seemed to try and remember.

"It started with an I..." I snapped my fingers, "Irina."

"What's your friend's name?"

I narrowed my eyes, "She has to stay safe. I wouldn't like her in danger. Her family has been very kind to me."

"I swear on my honor she has nothing to fear from me."

I shook my head, "What about the others?"

"They are hunting. I promise I won't tell them."

I knew Laurent was an opportunist, not easily loyal except to himself. He was civil though and in a way honorable when it came to his own rules.

"Alice." I whispered.

"Ah..." He nodded and I saw his eyes get a happy glint, he believed me now. Somehow he must be aware of Alice's gift.

"Are they going to kill me?"

"Not for now. You are too interesting."

I scoffed, "I'll get boring quickly. Then I'll be done for."

He chuckled, "Oh I wouldn't believe such a thing. I think you might be hiding just how interesting you are."

He was far more perceptive than I gave him credit for. I had the feeling he was the sort of person that would have many fascinating stories to tell.

I could imagine us exchanging stories but I knew it would come with a price. He'd always wanted an in with the Volturi, and I would become his bargaining chip far too easily.

"Your eyes are far too ancient for someone seemingly so young." He leaned forward, "Oh the tales you could tell me."

I graced him with one of my secretive smiles, "How quickly would you betray me, I wonder?"

He threw his head back in laughter, "You see me far too well."

He became solemn as he cocked his head to the side, "They are back."

He stood and walked away only pausing in the doorway, "I look forward to getting to know you, ancient one."

--

I wish I could unsee what I saw when I woke to banging sounds.

James and Victoria going at it.

Oh and they wanted me to watch, they got off on it.

I rolled over and covered my ears trying to block off the vigorous pounding that was happening against the wall by my bed.

It lasted far too long.

Now I'm no prude but there's a time and place for all things. Consent is vital but I wasn't given a choice but to witness it all night long.

When they finally finished, Victoria lay on one side of me while James on the other holding me in a non-consensual hug.

"Go to sleep, pet."

Victoria kissed my forehead while James inhaled the back of my head, nuzzling it. A cold shiver went down my spine only making him chuckle in glee.

As I tried to go to sleep but couldn't very aware of the two of them surrounding me I decided I might as well check the Enhancement portion of the system store again. Only to find only one option, Enhanced Body.

An old agency trick, give the illusion of choice but give really only one option.

I'd have to wait until they left me alone to take it. Still curious I checked what it included.

Unbreakable Skin with the ability to be turned on or off, great in case I had to go to the doctor for something and didn't want to give anything away.

Unbreakable Bones, Faster Reflexes, Tougher Muscles, Greater Flexibility and Endurance,

Enhanced Immune System.

The only con the duration of the transformation was longer, at least eight hours.

It would be better to do it sooner than later, while they still 'cared' for their pet.

When they let me go so I could go to the bathroom, I mentally said 'Buy Enhanced Body'. It was a bigger pill so I swallowed it with some sink water.

Back to 50 points but hopefully this will help me survive anything they threw at me, as long as they didn't try to dispose of me while I was at my weakest.

The pain didn't start immediately allowing me to eat some scrambled eggs and toast with jam that Laurent made for me.

When he came back to collect the tray, the pain had begun and he noticed. He frowned as he looked at me.

"You are too pale." He watched with narrowed eyes as I pursed my lips so I wouldn't let out a whimper as the burning in my veins ramped up. He placed a cold hand on my skin and I leaned into it, it felt nice while I burned on the inside and out. "You are feverish."

I fell back on the bed and closed my eyes as burning switched to ice coldness running though me. This time I could feel as my muscles, bones and body were made a new. I let out a whimper before turning to muffle a scream in my pillow. This was the worse pain I'd ever been.

"Something is wrong."

I could hear the frown in his voice but I ceased caring as the pain became so intense I blacked out with a piercing scream.

I went in and out of consciousness as the waves of pain went over me.

Arguing, non-stop arguing.

I knew my mind's walls were down. And I wondered if Edward could feel the pain from how much my thoughts screamed it. I almost wished he wasn't nearby even if it meant longer imprisoned. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone, then I thought of Jasper poor Jasper. If Edward didn't feel the pain he would.

A crash. Growling. The cabin being ripped apart.

Later on, "She's in here."

"We need to get her to Carlisle."

Was the last thing I heard before I blacked out again.
