Hank Hill languished for a while before coming back to reality. He was in a hazy, barren wasteland, with no other survivors to be seen.
Suddenly, a high pitched voice yelled, "Poyo!"
Hank turns, and sees Kirby, the small pink ball with limbs. "Kirby? Is that you?" he asked.
"Poyo!" replied Kirby.
Hank managed to stand up, and he looked in all directions. In the distance, he could see mountains extending thousands of feet tall. A small rainbow formed inside of a waterfall. Rocks and debris of boulders were scattered throughout the area.
"Where the hell are we?" asked Hank.
"Poyo!" said Kirby.
"Son, can't you say anything else but 'poyo'?"
"Poyo!"
Hank sighed, and decided to take his first steps. Kirby followed him close behind, his small feet waddling across the sharp, jagged ground. Hank looked up in the sky, and in the distance, he could see a faint image of Galeem, surrounded by a spherical shield.
"Him, I remember him," said Hank. "We were all standing on a cliff, ready to fight him, and his army of hands. He shot out a whole bunch of light beams, and we tried to escape on a star. But then, a light beam hit our star, and we ended up here."
"Poyo!" said Kirby.
Suddenly, a strange figure appeared in front of Hank and Kirby. He looked similar to Mario from the Nintendo games, except his entire body was black, with red glowing eyes.
"Is that…Mario?" asked Hank.
Hank stepped forward, and prepared to greet Mario. However, Mario accelerated his fist, and punched Hank directly in the face.
"Ow!" yelled Hank. "Why did you do that? I thought we were buddies!"
Mario didn't respond, and kicked Hank in his arm. He then lunged onto Hank, and began slapping his face repeatedly.
"Kirby, help!" yelled Hank.
Kirby sprinted over to Hank, and punched Mario off of him. The red glint in Mario's eyes glowed even brighter, and he punched Kirby as hard as he could. Kirby was launched far back, but regained himself, and ran back over to Mario. He gaped open his mouth, and inhaled Mario before spitting him back out.
Mario, empowered by rage, charged up a powerful fireball in his hand, and launched it over to Hank, scathing his skin. Hank sprinted over to Mario, and punched him in the face as hard as possible. Mario, however, recoiled almost instantly, and swung his yellow cape at him.
Kirby, desperate to defeat Mario, ran as fast as he could, and punched Mario in the stomach with his head. Mario fell down to the ground, weakened. Hank quickly picked up a long, sword-like rock off the ground and, with all his might, slammed it down onto Mario's back.
Suddenly, Mario's back tore open, and his blackened body dissipated. Then, the spirit of Mario formed in the sky, and exploded back into his real self. The puppet Mario was gone, and Mario had been restored back to his normal self.
"What…what happened?" asked Mario.
"I have no idea, but you're back to normal now!" said Hank.
Hank turned over to Kirby, and nodded at him. "Well, I'll be damned, Kirby," he said. "We actually did it!"
Kirby excitedly jumped up, and yelled "Poyo!" in a victorious manner. The three joined hands with each other, and ventured deeper into the barren wasteland.
