Note: Thank you so much to Crystal Rose of Pollux for giving me the idea to do this! This was very fun!

"Why have you turned from your bloodline?" the red demon asked, pacing around as Vincent was struggling to get off the floor.

Vincent grunted as he looked up at the demon, his very own ancestor. Gosh, he hated that they shared the same bloodline. He could feel his heart race every time he remembered they have the same last name, that he was just as powerful as him. Anytime that demon looked at him, Vincent could still feel his bones tremble.

"Me?" the warlock managed to get out. "I turned from my bloodline? I did not turn from my bloodline, I turned from you. I turned from the ancestor that ruined the reputation of the Van Ghouls for centuries! I turned from the ancestor that haunted me my whole life, the one that convinced me that my fate was to be irredeemably evil and to join him. I do not believe you are my family, you will never be my real family and you never have been!"

Asmodeus's eyes widened and he turned his head.

"You are of my bloodline and therefore I am your only family now!" he roared. "Those young mortals, they aren't Van Ghouls, they do not know Van Ghoul tradition or magic."

"They do not have to be Van Ghouls to be my kids! And since when do you care about Van Ghoul tradition? You abandoned everything about being a Van Ghoul once you started taking over the world. You chose this, Asamad!" Vincent shot back.

Asmodeus grabbed him by his collar, lifting him up and growling at him.

"Do not EVER invoke that name in my domain!" he yelled.

"You told me I cannot escape being related to you, and I will make sure you will not ever escape who you once were," Vincent said, trying to hold back the deep fear he was feeling being this close to the demon. "If we are family, then you are still Asamad. You will still be that human warlock if I still have to be associated with you."

Asmodeus did not respond, instead dropping him on the ground.

"What? Are you afraid? Are you afraid of me?" Vincent asked.

"If I have to be afraid of you, then you will also have to be afraid of me, Vincent Van Ghoul," Asmodeus stated.
