Hey, guys! Long time no see. Hope y'all remember me.
So, new story! It's a Treasure ff. Treasure is a K-pop male group under YG Ent., and I really stan them. I suggest checking them out if you haven't, you won't be disappointed. They are all very talented and great people. And it'll help you connect more to the story too.
This story is me imagining a world where the ten members run a sweet little cafe together and them getting to know a new customer. There is a romantic ship here, which I'll hint at and I'd like my readers to guess which member it is. Overall, this story is going to be a light-hearted one, and I can assure you're going to like it so please read it till the end. My writing skills have improved too.
And like I always say, reviews are welcomed. Later!

Walking is one of my hobbies. And that's how I planned to spend my day off.
I've just started at my first job as a front desk personnel at a boutique hotel. I do love my work, just as much as any working adult does, but there are definitely days when I get so uninterested that I never want to return to it.
Yesterday was one of those days. Thankfully, I have good seniors who kindly gave me a day to recover from the -harsh would be an understatement- words that one of those snobby guests decided to throw at me.
Rotting under my bedsheets was doing nothing but replay that scene in my head so, I decided to spend the rest of my afternoon strolling around my street. Then I thought why not stroll to my favorite ice cream place?
Upon reaching there, I had another thought which led to where I am at the moment.
I look up from my phone screen showing a 'you've reached your destination' and debate whether to turn back or not.
In front of me are a flight of stairs leading underground and just above the first step is a sign with 'My Treasure Cafe and Library' written over it.
The thing which is prompting me to go down the stairs is how pretty the sign is, decorated with flowers and leaves, right up my alley.
I glance down the stairway and see little pots of plants kept at the end of it with a welcome sign hung on the wall that's just as pretty as the first one. I'm less alarmed now.
So I go down the stairs, make a short left and hear a little bell go off as the door is opened for me.
"Welcome to My Treasure!"
Upon entering, I'm met with two very welcoming things. First is the amazing aroma of coffee and second is the full moon smile of the man standing in front of me. He's wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, brown apron with black shoes and has black hair.
I don't know if it's the hotelier habit in me or the contagious look on this person's face which makes me show him all my teeth as I smile back and say, "thank you."
The thing I do know is I've already forgotten what happened at work yesterday.
"A table for one, miss?" He asks, still smiling.
"Yes, please," I reply, still smiling.
He gestures with his hand and takes the lead, showing me to my table.
"Welcome!" I hear another voice saying to me. Looking to my left, I see a man standing behind the barista counter, waving to me. His smile is just as bright, however my attention goes to his bright red hair.
I wave and smile back and keep following the one walking ahead of me. He stops by a small round table with two chairs.
"Please make yourself comfortable, miss," He says.
I take a seat on the chair facing the rest of the café.
"Here's the scanner to look at the menu," he says pointing to a QR code sticker pasted at the center of table. "Take your time and let us know what you'd like to have." And he leaves with yet another smile.
I'm glad I didn't turn back. Who wouldn't appreciate such a genuine smile.
I take a moment to look around first. And I'm more glad now. The place is beautiful. White brick walls are adorned with leafy vines and picture frames, potted plants and tall lamps sit in every corner, the white ceiling lights are soft and gentle. Many brown round tables varying in sizes are neatly arranged, each with tiny vases at the center with different colored flowers in them. I look at mine and it's pink.
The L-shaped barista counter has white marble tops and a few chairs are placed along it. Where the countertop ends there is a door with two knives drawn on it, so that has to be the kitchen.
My table is at the far right corner and adjoining this wall is another room which must be the library. I make a note to check it out next but first, the QR code.
Just as I'm opening the scanner on my phone, a glass of water is placed at my table. I'm met with a soft smile when I look up.
"Hello," the man in front of me says in a deep voice. He's wearing the same uniform and has blue hair. "Is this your first time here, miss?"
I nod, "yes, although I wish I had found this place sooner." I take a look around again. The place is screaming 'cozy' and a part of me wants to sleep here.
The man chuckles, "I played a part in decorating our café so I'm happy you like it. I'll be your server today, I'm Jaehyuk." He says gesturing towards his name badge.
"Pleasure. I'm Eline." I gesture towards my face and get another chuckle from Jaehyuk.
"Hope you have a good time, Eline." He says as he leaves.
I get a little curious. So far, I've encountered three staff who look around my age. Is this café run by a group of friends or a joint family?
My eyes look around again, wanting to spot more uniforms.
There are three staff at the barista counter, one with red hair and two with black hair. The one who brought me to my table is standing by the entrance door chatting with a brown-haired man.
No more uniforms. And they all look really young so my guess could be correct.
Ah yes, the QR. I scan it and soon a blue diamond dances across my phone screen, typing out the café name. How cute. The menu appears with three subcategories-coffee, tea and snacks.I read through the decent number of choices and decide on a mocha and a cinnamon doughnut. I place the order and the blue diamond dances again asking me to wait a few minutes.
Just then, I hear what sounds like books falling on the floor and I'm reminded about the library.
I stand up and enter the adjoining room. It's half the size of the previous one but just as beautiful. Four-foot-tall brown bookshelves cover two walls, plants are at every corner, there are a few round tables and chairs, few white sofas and two brown rocking chairs. Now I wanna sleep here more.
There's somebody wearing the uniform by one of the bookshelves, trying to collect some books fallen on the floor. I hurry towards him but before I could help, he notices me and stands up.
"Oh, hello miss," He says with a small smile. "How may I help you?"
"I was hoping to help you actually." I say, pointing to the books on the floor.
He runs a hand through his blonde hair, "a mess I've got here, isn't it? But it's okay, miss, I'll clean it up myself. Thank you though."
"Are you sure uh.." I glance towards his name badge.
"Asahi," he speaks for me and smiles. "And yes I'm sure, miss."
"Eline," I smile back.
Asahi puts down the books in his hands on the shelf, "so can I help you with a book to enjoy with your coffee, Eline?" He asks.
"Eline!" I hear Jaehyuk's voice calling me as he walks with a wooden tray in his towards me and Asahi. "Would you like to have your food here?"
I look between my food and the bookshelves. "Actually, not today, Jaehyuk." I look at Asahi next. "I'll be sure to read one of your books next time, Asahi."
"For sure, Eline. Enjoy your food." Asahi smiles. I smile back and walk back to my table with Jaehyuk.
"Enjoy." Jaehyuk says as he sets the tray down and leaves.
And enjoy, I did. Both the coffee and the doughnut were tasty and fresh. I ended up ordering another doughnut and also had Jaehyuk pack another one up for me. Granny loves doughnuts too.
"Here's the bill." Jaehyuk says handing me a folder with my bill and a QR code inside. After I pay, he walks me to the door.
I'm met with the full moon smile again. "I hope you enjoyed your food, Eline."
"I sure did," I read his name badge. "Junkyu. That's a sweet name for the one with a sweet smile."
"Ah.." Junkyu looks to the ceiling, the floor and then me. "Thank you," he says, shyly.
"You know, Junkyu," Jaehyuk starts, "we've gained us a regular guest here I believe. Eline made a promise to Asahi to check out his library -I quote- the next time."
Oh right, I did that, didn't I?
"Yay," Junkyu claps his hands together. "That's great, Eline. See you soon?"
I look between Junkyu and Jaehyuk and instantly smile. Their faces are so genuine and expectant. How could I say no? Not like I was planning to either.
"You'll see me soon." I say before walking out and up the stairs.
I turn around and take in the pretty sign again.
My Treasure.
Walking back to my home, I realise I'm smiling. Replaying the last hour of my life in my head. The beautiful and cozy café, it's homely feels and the truest smiles I received aren't leaving me.
Yes, I'm definitely going back there.
Hope y'all enjoyed the first chapter.
