The troves of the Daedric artifacts that I have is simply tremendous, from the almost-mythical Azura's Star to the accursed Mace of Molag Bal, it may be enough for a dragonborn like yours truly to ascend to at least a demi-prince if I can absorb the trace Daedric Princes' power anyway.
Or at least, that was my line of thought when I had reached the endgame in Skyrim, I managed to complete everything, absolutely everything, cleared every Nordic Tombs, Dwemer Ruins, bandit occupied fortresses, and caves.
I had completed every questlines available and side quests that came with it, I became the harbinger of the famed Companions, and redeemed its members from the lycanthropy curse of Hircine, I had became the Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold and became master wizard at every school.
I restored the Thieves Guild back to its former glory when I became the guild master, and with that also becoming the champion of Nocturnal. I had killed the Emperor of Tamriel itself as the listener of the Dark Brotherhood singlehandedly.
Funnily enough, I also had won the civil war as a Legate of the Imperial Legion right after assassinating Titus Mede II, shouting Ulfric Stormcloak to Sovngarde and bringing peace to Skyrim.
Mayhaps my fame is most derived from my status as the Last Dragonborn, Laat Dovahkiin as dragons would say, I slayed Alduin as a living man in the realm of the dead. I had defeated any detractors that had impeded my way, Harkon and Isran lied dead in each of their own demesne whilst Herma-Mora himself had killed Miraak at the summit of Apocrypha.
Amongst the common folk I was seen as a hero, who helped them at every turn, in a way, I am their providence.
In the end though, as much as I'm attached to the world I had shaped, it is merely a game, in real life I'm just an overworked employee, the japanese will call my archetype a salaryman, and just like a salaryman, eventually I died of overwork.
However, if any of you thought that was the end, then you're dead wrong, whilst I had always believed in a singular God and always tried my best to adhere to his tenets, I wasn't truly sure what the hereafter would be like, etched in the Holy Scriptures that it would be either paradise or hell.
I… couldn't say I was the best of man, I was born with severe lack of empathy and with it, the lack of remorse as well, I could only pretend to be as everyone is, perhaps there are times I could've hurt someone terribly, aware or unaware, so if I were to end up in hell I would've understood.
Although saying that, what is beholden before me are infinite nothingness, God is well, God, he can do whatever he wishes with his subjects, what I didn't expect however, was to be ejected out of this void so suddenly.
I slowly opened my eyes and what I saw were untamed wilderness as far as the eye can see, the scent too hit me instantly, never had I smelled such freshness, free from the smog or pollution as it was back where I'm from.
Though surely I woke up near a stream or a river as I hear the sound of flowing water.
I wasn't fully awake yet, I didn't even know what I wore, when I came to the source of the sound, I pour water unto my hand and wiped my face with it, the water was so pristine that I was almost surprised by it, it was clear as day, and I could see my reflection on it.
Well, I am not myself anymore, I am neither white nor is my hair blond, I came from southeast asia where the sun would scorch any caucasians, as such, my (former) body was as black or brown as it could be, and so is my hair and eyes.
My new body is well, naked, all its parts exposed, though now that I think about it, it sorts of resembles my character from skyrim, when I look deeper into my face, my eyes are also deathly yellow, as all vampires have, so then if this is my character, then surely I have all my things that I have sorted when I last played Skyrim.
I'm not really sure though how to access it, in game it was easy to get your things, all you had to do was just press tab and then you can just choose either your inventory, maps, magics, and skill trees, here, I'm rather confused.
I've read lots and lots of those gamer fanfictions though, and also a lot of rpg-esque manhwa(s) and those akin to it, well, here goes nothing.
"Inventory!"
All of a sudden the world seems to be paused, and then a screen was shown to me, it was literally just the inventory screen, all of my things was well organised, from ingots to potions, my ingredients, my garbs and arms, it was all there.
I pressed the armour that I favoured most, or rather my only armour, the Kynreeve armour, the most badass looking one, cool and edgy as hell yet not as impractical looking as the vanilla daedric armour.
I then don my trinkets, rings, necklaces, and such, all of them having enchantments that will suit my need as a vampire in broad daylight, note that the strain of Sanguinare Vampiris is not as weak in the sun as the more, diluted strain that is Porphyric Haemophilia, although it is not as pure as Noxiphilic Sanguivoria that Molag Bal bestowed upon the former priestess of arkay or was it xarxes?
Well, now let's put to the test on whether this body can even wield a dai-katana forged from ebony and imbued with the heart of a daedroth which makes it the color of midnight with the side of bloody crimson.
Now, I guess I just need to close the inventory, in game you just need to press tab again, but I guess you need to say it again, though, that'd make me seem crazy if there are nearby people, can I do it telepathically?
'Close Inventory.'
The world seems to continue as it normally does, and it seems muscle memory has me covered, as I can just wield this approximately 10 to 13 kilogramme steel hunk.
Next, let's test magic, now I have to confess, after playing this game for the umpteenth time, I'm kinda sick of playing a vanilla playthrough so I installed a whole lot of mods, and my favourites are mods courtesy of EnaiRim, vampires are greatly enhanced by sacrosanct, and magic are improved by apocalypse and triumvirate, transforming it from barely good to actually playable and I concur, it has also transferred to me, which will make my life so much easier.
Now, let's start with the simplest, one that all races no matter the aptitude have, Flames and Healing, naturally I try to imagine a source of power in my body flowing unto the center of my palm and focus it unto a nearby tree.
I feel a sensation of warmth in my palm as I opened my eyes to see a charred tree trunk, when I came closer to the tree I was almost burned by the blackened branches. I can surely ascertain that this is truly real and not merely me imagining such things while dying or in a hospital bed, but then, where am I really? As far as the eye can see it's just wilderness stretching for kilometres upon kilometres.
As I see no sign of any civilisations whatsoever, I just decide to run in any direction whatsoever, in what I would call, my previous iteration, I wasn't in particular a fit person, my stamina was abysmal and I would easily get exhausted simply from ascending and descending stairs in stations where I'd commute. Here however, is an entirely different story, I feel that I can run without pause for hours on end.
However, I am not yet used to this new body of mine, and as such, despite not needing respite nor sleep, when dusk has come, I decide to rest, fortunately, one of my arrays of spells include Fabricate Object. Though, where the limitations of game engine and scripts existed, when brought to reality it ceases to be, in game I could only summon some furnitures and laboratories and such, here, the limit is my magicka and my imagination.
As is with Tamrielic magic, Fabricate Object needs no incantations, although the gestures needed to cast it is rather awkward despite having the muscle memory to cast the spell itself. and voilà, what greets me is precisely what I had imagined, a small house akin to a studio room of a flat.
Already I feel a tug at my magicka reserves, I learn now that the more complex the object that I imagine the more it drains my magicka, fortunately, through my enchanted gear, my magicka regeneration is off the charts, constantly filling what was taken.
Before I go inside I carefully lay rune traps of all kind coupled with alarms that would alert me of any intruders or wild animals that would've taken a step into my house.
What greets me inside was a modern room that really does not suit its surrounding, with modern shower and a spring bed, I took off my set of armour and cleaned myself in the shower, I don't really know how this showerhead even function, but it does, afterwards when I've finished, I equip a set of my fine garb and went to sleep until the dawn breaks yet again.
A/N
I've returned yet again, hope you like this, I wrote this out of a sudden, I don't even know what crossover I may write, so it may yet change it till I write the next chapter. See you soon… I hope.
