It was getting closer to Gwen and Clarence's wedding day when the final preparations were being taken care of. Gwen still worried about the Devil escaping from his arena after she and Rose trapped him with a landslide they created together.

One day, Gwen was at the church she and Clarence plan to have the ceremony and making last-minute corrections and changes.

"Yeah. I think that sums everything up." Gwen said.

Gwen leaves the church and rejoins her friends at the cottage. She goes upstairs and enters her room to take a nap.

After an hour, Gwen wakes up and wondered what she wanted to do now.

"I wonder what I should do now?" Gwen asked herself.

Gwen looked at her pile of travel magazines.

"Oh. I promised Rose no more traveling for a while. Especially after the Egyptian and Greek gods thing. And now I'm a goddess of imagination." Gwen reminded herself.

But something caught Gwen's eye. She grabbed a magazine which featured the country Korea. She learned the country was currently under Japanese rule.

"Hmm." Gwen said to herself.

Having a location in mind, she packed her satchel and raised her ink pen.

"Three…two…one…" Gwen counted down.

Just as she tapped her ink pen…

"SURPRISE!" All three cups exclaimed and jump on her shoulders.

They appear in Seoul, the capital city of Korea.

"I thought you promised no more traveling?" Ms. Chalice asked.

'I know. I kinda wanted to get it out of my system first." Gwen explained.

"So, where are we?" Cuphead asked.

"Guys, we're in Seoul, Korea." Gwen answered.

"Seoul?" Mugman asked.

"Yeah. This place is under Japanese rule and the Koreans have it tough." Gwen explained.

"That's horrible." Mugman said.

"I know. Anyway, wanna look around guys? There's great stuff to see." Gwen said.

"Yeah!" All three cups exclaimed.

The group explore by going to various temples, the Kyeong-Wha station with the cherry blossoms, Ggotji beach, and a spectacular view of Halla Mountain.

Later, they go back into town and grab lunch. They order bibimbap (a meat, rice and vegetable bowl), tteokbokki (spicy red chili pepper rice cakes), mandu (steamed dumplings) and yakgwa (honey cookies) for dessert.

"Man, Korea's got killer spicy food here!" Ms. Chalice complimented as she was eating.

"Yeah, really spicy." Mugman said as he drank a glass of milk to cool his mouth.

"This is awesome! We'll have to come back here!" Cuphead said as he was eating.

"Yeah. Maybe this isn't so bad after all. As long as we don't get involved with someone's problems… again." Gwen pointed out.

"Well, we had fun and dangerous adventures." Cuphead said.

"I know, but we've met so many people who want to learn from me. Like Darcy, Tatiana and Merindah to name a few." Gwen said.

"Yeah, but they're our friends. They love us and will do anything to help you." Ms. Chalice said.

Gwen thought about it, knowing Ms. Chalice had a point.

"Yes, they are, and they would." Gwen said.

Just then, they noticed Japanese authorities chasing a purple masked figure who had stolen money from a rich Japanese general.

"Stop thief!" A Japanese police officer yelled.

"The Amethyst Tiger has struck again!" A local exclaimed

"Amethyst Tiger?" Gwen asked confused.

"Woah, a real cops and robbers show." Cuphead said.

The Amethyst Tiger grabbed a bow and shot arrows at the officers.

"Look, the thief's using a bow and arrow like Robin Hood." Mugman pointed out.

"One of those 'rob the rich to feed the poor' scenarios?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"I don't know. Those guys are really mad at him." Gwen said, studying the situation.

The Amethyst Tiger eluded the police as Gwen got up from her chair.

"Wait here guys. Maybe I can catch him." Gwen said.

Gwen runs towards the thief's direction. She noticed the cops were splitting up and searching everyone. Suddenly, Gwen got a glimpse of the thief on the rooftops and decided to follow him.

She discreetly teleports herself on the rooftops and noticed the Amethyst Tiger running and jumping from different buildings like a skilled warrior.

"Wow, he's good." Gwen said impressed.

Gwen walked to another rooftop and looked around. Thinking the thief escaped, she prepared to teleport back to her friends when suddenly, she felt a sharp tip to her neck, realizing the Amethyst Tiger was right next to her.

"Oh no…" Gwen said worryingly.

"Hands up!" A feminine voice demanded.

Gwen quickly complied and raised her hands in surrender. The Amethyst Tiger backs Gwen against a wall of the rooftop aiming her bow and arrow at her neck.

"Y-Y-You're a woman." Gwen said, realizing the thief's true gender.

"You dare to pursue the Amethyst Tiger?!" The thief angrily asked.

"Uh…" Gwen struggled to explain.

"If you think you can turn me over to the authorities and collect the reward money, think again!" The thief warned.

"What reward money?" Gwen asked, confused.

"You Americans know nothing." The thief said as she held up a wanted poster of herself with an offer of ¥10 million yen (70,000.00 in US dollars) for her capture alive or dead.

"Woah. That's a huge bounty on your head." Gwen said impressed.

"Gamsahabnida." The thief thanked in Korean.

"But I'm not a bounty hunter." Gwen answered truthfully.

"Oh, I know you're not. Judging by your figure, your hands and that ink pen and inkwell you carry on your belt for some strange reason, you are an artist. Am I right?" The thief said, knowing what Gwen's profession is.

"Y-Y-Yes. You are right." Gwen said, amazed.

Just then, they heard men coming. The thief takes Gwen and hides her in a dark shadowy corner.

"Not a peep out of you!" The thief whispered.

Gwen gulped in fear. The authorities were searching for the Amethyst Tiger. They pass their hiding spot and then retreated.
"They're gone." The thief said.

Gwen sighed of relief.

"Look Tiger, if you let me go, I'll let you escape, and I won't say anything." Gwen offered.

The thief scoffed.

"I don't think so. You've seen too much. Now, you're coming with me!" The thief declined, distrusting Gwen.

Gwen was taken out of the shadows and the thief prepares to kidnap her as Gwen thought of an escape plan. She discreetly removes her bracelet, knowing she was breaking a promise to her sister but in her case, it was a life-or-death situation.

"Why do you remove your silver bracelet?" The thief asked suspiciously.

"It was starting to itch a little. See?" Gwen lied as she showed a little red on her wrist.

"Don't you dare get any ideas American." The thief warned.

"By the way, I'm really sorry." Gwen apologized.

"For what?" The thief asked confused.

"For what's about to happen to you." Gwen answered with a little anger in her tone.

"You dare threaten me?" The thief asked, preparing to shoot an arrow.

"I'm afraid… you messed with the wrong girl." Gwen taunted as her hands started glowing.

The thief's eyes widened at her hands glowing.

"W-W-W-What trickery is this?!" The thief asked shockingly.

Suddenly without warning, Gwen shot bright lights from her hands, blinding the thief. Gwen seized the opportunity to use her ink pen to make firework-like lights, alerting the Japanese authority to the thief's location. Gwen quickly teleported herself away to escape before the thief's eyesight returned.

"You foolish…!" The thief exclaimed until she realized she was gone.

Just then, gunshots were fired at the thief as she was forced to retreat. Gwen reappeared at her friend's table, where they all sighed of relief, seeing her alive.

"Gwen!" All three cups exclaimed and hugged her.

"It's okay guys. I outsmarted her." Gwen assured them.

"Gwen, don't you ever do that again!" Mugman scolded.

"Sorry guys, I thought I could handle her." Gwen apologized.

"Gwen, she's a hardcore criminal! I should know!" Ms. Chalice scolded.

"I'm sorry guys, I didn't mean to worry you." Gwen apologized.

"It's okay, just don't do it again." Cuphead said.

Just then, they heard a loud scream.

"That's the thief!" Gwen said, recognizing the voice.

"Who cares? Let's go!" Cuphead said.
But Gwen once again teleports away.

"She just never learns." Ms. Chalice said, shaking her head.

"Let's hope she knows what she's doing." Mugman said nervously.

Meanwhile Gwen appeared on the rooftops again looking for the thief. She realizes the scream was coming from further away. She followed the noise until she looked down and noticed the thief hanging on her life over a tiger pit, a deep hole with wooden spikes sticking out. Gwen was unsure if she should help her or not until the thief started slipping downward.

When she finally loses her grip, she falls, thinking this was the end for her when suddenly she stopped falling. The thief opened her eyes and realized she was floating. She was suddenly brought up out of the tiger pit and placed on the rooftop where Gwen stood. Gwen magically made the tiger pit disappear into the ground with her ink pen.

"How long was that deadly pit there?" Gwen asked.

The thief stood speechless at Gwen, knowing of her magic until she winced in pain. Gwen noticed a cut wound on her leg possibly from the wooden stakes.

"You're hurt." Gwen said.

Gwen knelt down and used her ink pen to heal her wound. The thief breathed heavily as she watched Gwen put her ink pen back on her belt.

"You… You saved my life. Why?" The thief asked.

"Eh, I didn't want you dead." Gwen admitted.

"What exactly are you?" The thief asked.

Gwen hesitated to answer until they heard the authorities coming.

"Forget you ever saw me. Goodbye." Gwen quickly said.

"No wait! Wait!" The thief called as Gwen quickly disappeared.

She reappeared in front of her friends.

"Gwen! What were you doing?" Mugman asked.

"Mission accomplished. Now let's go." Gwen said.

The group leave the restaurant and back to an alleyway they first appeared in.

"I think that's enough adventure for one day." Cuphead said as he ate a honey cookie.

"I agree. Even though the sights were awesome, and the food was delicious." Ms. Chalice said as she ate a honey cookie.

"Yeah. Let's go home guys." Gwen said.

But before Gwen could teleport, she is suddenly approached by the thief.

"Stop!" The thief exclaimed as she grabbed the ink pen.

"You again!" Gwen exclaimed.

"Don't go. I just want to talk." The thief said.

"I'm sorry. We don't have time for this Tiger. Now give me back my ink pen or I'll blind you again!" Gwen warned as she raised her hands.

"No wait!" The thief stopped her.

Gwen and the cups stood in shock.

"Chin-sun." The thief said.

The group was unsure what she said.

"My real name." Chin-sun bravely revealed her identity.

"Oh." The three cups said.

"What do you want Chin-sun?" Gwen asked, losing patience.

"I want to know." Chin-sun answered.

"Know what?" Cuphead asked.

"You American. I want to know everything about you." Chin-sun answered.

"Woah lady, Gwen's not really your concern." Mugman said as he took Gwen's hand.

"Mugman!" Gwen scolded.

"So that is your name. Gwen." Chin-sun said, learning her name.

"Nice going Mugsy!" Ms. Chalice scolded as Mugman chucked nervously.

"Why?" Gwen asked suspiciously.

"I want… to repay you for saving my life. No one has ever shown me kindness before. I shall accompany you until my debt is repaid." Chin-sun vowed as she tossed Gwen her ink pen back.

"You… want to help me?" Gwen asked, trying to understand.

"Yes. Please, let me help you." Chin-sun said as she knelt to Gwen, pledging herself to her.

"But I don't need any help. Thank you for your offer." Gwen said, not believing her.

"But I insist. You helped me. Now I will help you." Chin-sun said.

"I'm afraid there's nothing you can do. I have my own problems to worry about." Gwen said, trying not to involve Chin-sun.

Just then, a puff of smoke appeared in front of the group and the Devil appeared in front of them.

"AH! THE DEVIL!" Both cups exclaimed in horror.

"But… how did you escape? You were trapped in a landslide." Ms. Chalice asked.

"I happened to find my pitchfork in the darkness. Which took about oh I don't know… FOREVER!" The Devil calmly said until he yelled.

Gwen grew scared now that the Devil was back once again.

"As for you my dear. I haven't forgotten the 12 gifts you obtained and used against me. Anymore secrets you wanna tell me?" The Devil asked suspiciously.

Gwen held her ground, hiding her new goddess status identity.

"I think you've discovered enough about me." Gwen said angrily.

"Ugh whatever. Let's get this over with." The Devil said as he was about to kidnap Gwen.

Suddenly, Chin-sun fired an arrow at the Devil's neck.

"YEEOUCH!" The Devil exclaimed in pain.

The Devil yanked the arrow out of his neck.

"Seriously? Did you think that…?" The Devil was about to ask until Chin-sun struck a blow at the Devil, knocking him down.

Chin-sun made a taekwondo pose, ready for a fight.

"You can fight?" Cuphead asked, amazed.

"Black belt in taekwondo." Chin-sun answered.

The Devil got up and faced Chin-sun.

"Who's this? Your new bodyguard?" The Devil asked.

"No, we just met her." Gwen denied.

"Yes! I am her new bodyguard!" Chin-sun quickly answered.

"Oh really? Did you know she's being pursued by a certain demon of the underworld?" The Devil asked.

Chin-sun was shocked.

"Wait, you are… Agma!" Chin-sun realized who the Devil was.

"Ye." The Devil answered in Korean.

Chin-sun still held her ground.

"You pitiful human. All you want to do is to stop the Japanese from erasing everything Korean. So, you turned to a life of crime to get your revenge on them. Especially after they took your parents away and you never saw them again when you were just a child." The Devil revealed as he held up her folder.

Chin-sun's eyes widened.

"You trained your whole life with criminals which includes archery, thieving and taekwondo and you became the notorious thief the Amethyst Tiger. Very tragic… Chin-sun." The Devil taunted revealed her name.

Gwen shot a cyan-blue beam blast at the Devil, giving Chin-sun a chance to strike the Devil. She beat him mercilessly until he was too weak to get up.

"You may know of my past, but you know nothing about me now." Chin-sun angrily snarled.

The Devil weakly tapped his pitchfork and disappeared back to Hell.

"Wow! That was awesome Chin-sun!" Ms. Chalice complimented.

"Gamsahabnida." Chin-sun thanked in Korean.

"Yeah, you were really hardcore." Mugman added.

"Thank you. Who are you children with keob for cups?" Chin-sun asked.

"These are my best friends Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice." Gwen introduced.

"Charmed. So, will you let me be your bodyguard? I can protect you from the Devil since he's taken an interest in you." Chin-sun said.

"He's been interested in me for 2 years. I still fight him. He's trying to marry me for my powers and magic so he can use me to take over the world against my will." Gwen admitted.

"We cannot let that happen. He will not harm my country as the Japanese have harmed us Koreans." Chin-sun said determined.

"Well, Gwen, she did save our butts. We owe her." Cuphead said.

Gwen sighed, frustrated now Chin-sun is involved.

"You really shouldn't have come after me. Now you're in and the Devil knows about you." Gwen said worryingly.

"Look out!" Chin-sun exclaimed as she shot an arrow at someone.

The group looked and saw a thug trying to ambush them. But Chin-sun scared him off with her arrow.

"You're a sharpshooter." Mugman complimented.

"I've had years of practice." Chin-sun said.

"Hmm." Gwen said, thinking for a moment trying to think of a way to keep Chin-sun off her back.

"Hey, I want to run to the gift shop. Is there one nearby?" Gwen asked.

"Ye. There is one 3 blocks down. I will take you there." Chin-sun said.

She leads the group to a local gift shop. Chin-sun waits outside while Gwen purchases souvenirs for her friends such as a norigae ornament, fans, hanbok dolls, a teapot set and masks.

"Okay Gweny, what are you up to now?" Ms. Chalice asked, knowing Gwen's game.

"I have an idea to keep Chin-sun off my back so we can go home." Gwen said as she raised her ink pen.

"What are you gonna do?" Mugman asked.

Gwen magically creates a clone of herself and the cups. She magically sends them outside where Chin-sun was waiting. Chin-sun unknowingly follows the clones to Gwen's relief.

"Okay, it worked, now what?" Cuphead asked.

"Now, we go home." Gwen said.

The group go outside the gift shop and enter a dark alley. Gwen was about to teleport when suddenly, a gun was held up to her head.

"Don't scream or I shoot." The thug warned.

The group stood frozen in horror at the armed gunman.

"Now, get into the back of that truck or you're all dead!" The gunman threatened.

The group looked and noticed a black truck with another armed gunman opened the door, gestured them to get in.

With no other option, the group complied and almost got into the truck.

Suddenly…

TWANG!

An arrow was shot at the gunman by the truck. Before Gwen's captor could react, another arrow was shot at him, killing him. The group sighed of relief as Chin-sun approached the group.

"Chin-sun!" Gwen exclaimed.

"Surprise." Chin-sun said.

"How did you…?" Gwen was about to ask until Chin-sun cut her off.

"I knew you were up to something Gwen. I knew you didn't want me to get involved in your problem with Agma for my own safety of the risk of losing my soul to that demon. Those copies of you suddenly vanished as you turned in the most dangerous alleyway. Those Japanese gunmen were kidnappers. They kidnap unsuspecting innocent people and are never seen again." Chin-sun explained.

Chin-sun sighed.

"I should know." Chin-sun said sadly.

"Oh, the Devil said your parents…?" Cuphead was about to ask.

"CUPHEAD!" Gwen scolded.

"It's alright." Chin-sun assured her.

"Chin-sun, I'm so sorry. I didn't want you involved with the Devil because I don't want him to hurt you too as he's hurt many people including me. I've already gotten too many people involved who want to help me I that can't endanger anymore lives." Gwen explained as she felt guilty for her friends.

The cups comfort Gwen as she shed a few tears.

Understanding Gwen's concern and guilt, Chin-sun takes her hands.

"I understand Gwen and I admire your honesty. You fear innocent people getting hurt. I too know what it is like. The Japanese are trying to erase everything that makes us who we are. But we are fighting to never let it happen as you are fighting to save our world by defying his hand in marriage." Chin-sun said, understanding Gwen's situation.

Gwen looked at Chin-sun.

"I want to help. If it means saving my country from the Devil, I want to join the fight. Even if it will cost me my soul or my life." Chin-sun said.

"You're not the only one who's told me they want to help." Gwen said.

Just then, a puff of smoke appeared, and the Devil has returned.

"AH! THE DEV…!" The cups exclaimed until the Devil cut them off.

"Yeah yeah whatever. Now that I'm rested, let's pick up where we left off." The Devil said as he prepared to attack.

Gwen quickly made her hands burn bright lights once again, blinding the Devil this time. Gwen leads the group away and ran away. When the Devil regained his eyesight, he spotted Gwen running in an alleyway. He quickly floats after her until he finally snatched her.

"GOTCHA!" The Devil taunted.

Suddenly… POOF!

Gwen had disappeared.

"What the?!" The Devil exclaimed.

Just then, he spotted Gwen running down another alleyway. As he chased her, another Gwen ran down another alleyway.

"What?! More of them?!" The Devil asked angrily.

The Devil captured the 2 Gwens until he suddenly spotted more Gwens running down various paths. The Devil roared furiously as he tried to collect many Gwens as possibly, trying to figure out which one was the real Gwen.

Meanwhile on the rooftops, the real Gwen along with the cups and Chin-sun watched as they were munching on popcorn.

"Nice cloning trick Gweny! That came in handy!" Cuphead complimented.

"Thank you Cuphead." Gwen thanked.

"Yeah, the Devil's literally running all over the place." Mugman said and laughed.

"You find pleasure in outsmarting and tormenting your enemies for your entertainment?" Chin-sun asked.

"Yep. It makes me feel better after all the terrible and unforgivable things he's done." Gwen answered.

"I can't say that I blame you." Chin-sun admitted.

"Yeah, which is why we're fightin' him until our girl Gwen gets married." Ms. Chalice said.

"Ah, that explains the engagement ring on your right ring finger." Chin-sun said.

"Yep. My marriage to him will free me from the Devil for good." Gwen said.

"And I shall help you marry your true love to help save our world." Chin-sun promised.

Gwen sighed, knowing Chin-sun still wanted to help.

"Well, if you wanna help fight the Devil, you'll need a powerful weapon to fight him along with your taekwondo skills. The bow and arrows you have won't be enough." Gwen said.

Just then, the Devil appeared with flames raging from behind him.

"THERE YOU ARE! THE REAL YOU!" The Devil angrily yelled.

Chin-sun shot another arrow at the Devil, only for him to use the fires to burn the arrow. She tried shooting more arrows, but the Devil kept burning them until she ran out.

"Looks like you're out of arrows!" The Devil taunted.

Just then he blew a fire blast at her bow, disintegrating it to ashes.

"No!" Chin-sun exclaimed.

Gwen shapeshifted into her celestial form, preparing to fight. Chin-sun gasped in shock at her transformation.

"Oh, did I forget to mention I have the cosmic powers of the astral plane?" Gwen asked.

Gwen angrily faced the Devil and shot cosmic beams at him. Chin-sun couldn't just stand there and watch. The Devil was about to fire a blast at Gwen when Chin-sun suddenly attacked him with her flying twin foot side kick move, knocking him down.

"Wow, nice move." Gwen complimented.

"Thanks. If I only had my bow and arrows, I could easily take him down." Chin-sun said.

"You know, I think I have an idea that might help you." Gwen said, getting an idea.

Gwen looked at the ashes of her bow. She knelt down and scooped them up, then she magically formed a brand-new bow from the ashes to Chin-sun's shock.

"Wow. You restored my bow." Chin-sun said amazed.

"And I gave it a little upgrade." Gwen said.

"I don't understand." Chin-sun said.

Gwen handed the bow to Chin-sun.

"Pull on the string like you're holding an arrow." Gwen instructed.

"Why?" Chin-sun asked.

"Just do it." Gwen answered.

Chin-sun held her bow and drew the bowstring back when to her shock, a light arrow suddenly appeared in her hand and ready to shoot.

"What's happening?" Chin-sun asked.

"Light arrows powerful enough to hurt a demon or your enemies. They are endless so you'll never run out of arrows again in battle." Gwen explained.

Just then, the Devil gets up.

"Try it out." Gwen encouraged.

Chin-sun aimed the light arrow at the Devil and shot him, striking him this time.

"YEEOUCH! That hurt more than the wood arrows!" The Devil cried in pain.

Chin-sun smiled as Gwen nodded. She continued firing more light arrows at the Devil until he was once again severely injured. Having enough, Gwen magically made a door portal appear and magically sent the Devil back to Inkwell Hell and made the door disappear.

"YAY GWEN! YAY CHIN-SUN!" All three cups cheered.

Chin-sun sighed of relief, feeling victorious.

"Thank you for all your help." Gwen thanked.

"And thank you for saving me and allowing me to fight the demon." Chin-sun thanked.

Gwen smiled.

"And for this enchanted bow." Chin-sun added.

"Yeah, I thought it'd help you." Gwen said.

Chin-sun quickly gives Gwen an unexpected hug, to Gwen's shock.

"I owe you everything Gwen." Chin-sun said.

"Gwen! The cops are coming!" Ms. Chalice exclaimed.

"I gotta go. You gotta go." Gwen said.

"Please come back again. I want to see you again." Chin-sun said.

Gwen nodded, then she tapped her ink pen, and the group disappeared. Chin-sun made her retreat and escaped the authorities.

The group returned home at the cottage.

"That was fun, eh fellas?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Yeah. Really exciting." Mugman said.

"Guys, we should go get the cottage ready for Thanksgiving." Gwen suggested.

"Oh yeah! I almost forgot about Thanksgiving!" Cuphead said now remembering.

The group head inside the cottage.

The day of Thanksgiving had arrived. Elder Kettle has Gwen, and the cups prepare everything for the family to arrive once again.

While Gwen and cups spend Thanksgiving with their family, Chin-sun kept using her enchanted bow to steal and fight off the Japanese government and authorities in hopes of one day to be free of them for good as Gwen seeks to be free from the Devil.
