It was another night at Swan Lake and of course, like every night, Odette was back in her human form, but we aren't looking at her, we're looking at Jean-Bob, Speed and the gang, who were in one area of the lake, with the frog getting ready for something.
That's when Cera and Speed were heard laughing.
"Quiet! I cannot concentrate." said Jean-Bob.
"You've come up with some dumb ideas, Jean-Bob, but this one's a doozy." said Speed.
"Yeah, have you hit your head too many times to think something like that?" asked Cera.
"Hah! Go ahead and laugh." began Jean-Bob as he joined reeds together to form a long pole. "I'll get her to kiss me and when she does…"
"When she does… Poof! You'll change into a prince." said Chomper.
"You've told us that already. Many times. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike whined about it.
"And me still not believe." said Petrie.
"How about giving her one of these flowers?" asked Littlefoot pointing to some flowers nearby.
"Yes, the last time you gave them to her, she liked them, as she seemed to like them when you gave them to her." said Ruby.
"Hah, what, they love duds. I don't want these flowers, I must have those." said Jean-Bob pointing to some flowers in a small corner attached to the castle on the other side of the pit.
However, the area wasn't really clear.
One thing the gang learned from that place was that there were alligators, much to their horror.
Fortunately, Odette calmed them down by telling them that, as long as they didn't go near the castle by water, they would be safe from them.
"But there are the belly draggers." said Ducky.
"It's very dangerous." said Littlefoot.
"Of course. That's the idea. When she learns that I have risked my life for them, the kissing will not stop." said Jean-Bob climbing up on a branch.
"And then you'll change into a prince." said Speed.
"Precisely." said Jean-Bob.
"I still insist it's crazy." said Littlefoot.
"Shenanigans. When this is over, I will receive the respect I deserve." said Jean-Bob.
"I think if you do this, you will receive the respect for the dead." said Chomper.
"Mind if I point out a problem?" asked Speed.
"I don't take advice from peasants." said Jean-Bob.
"Well, your loss." said Ruby.
Jean-Bob began to roll his shoulders, as did the alligators, all preparing for what was to come.
"Flowers. Kiss. Concentration. Flowers. Kiss. Concentration." said Jean-Bob, swinging the stick, causing the gang and Speed to duck to avoid it.
At that moment, Jean-Bob stuck the tip of the stick into the stone edge of the pit and the stick bent down as Jean-Bob moved down to where the others were.
"One question, you have a plan to go, don't you?" asked Cera with a smile.
"Why yes." said Jean-Bob with determination.
"And do you have a plan to get back?" asked Cera.
"Why…" began Jean-Bob as his determination turned to fear and he hugged the stick tightly. "No."
In the end, due to the bending of the stick, Jean-Bob, still clutching the stick, went flying straight into the mouth of one of the alligators, but only bit the stick, severing a part in the process, which caused Jean-Bob to land on the other alligator's mouth.
Before anything else could happen, Jean-Bob jumped to land, which he kissed, but then, he realized that he had fallen on the stick that had tipped over again and shot back out the other side, taking the frog with it.
When he reached the other side, one alligator devoured him, but the other accidentally bit his mouth, causing him to spit out Jean-Bob, who came back to land while still clinging to the pole.
"Ah! Hurry, hurry!" said Jean-Bob pleading for help before the stick pulled him back to where the alligators were.
They were about to go to help, but then…
"Wait a minute." said Cera.
"Move up, move up!" said Jean-Bob coming back to land before the stick took him away again.
"What are you doing, Cera? We have to help him." said Littlefoot.
"Bah. I think he'll be fine." said Cera watching the scene with a smile.
"No, not that…" shouted Jean-Bob coming back to land before the stick took him towards the alligators.
"Cera!" said the others in unison.
"Ok. Ok. Let's save the 'little prince'." said Cera.
The gang and the turtle arrived just as the frog landed.
"Close!" begged Jean-Bob before the stick took him away again.
Just as he got back to land again, when it looked like he was going back to where the alligators were, he stopped.
"Grab to me! Grab to me! Hold my arm! Hold my leg! Hold my… hold it, hold it, hold it." said Jean-Bob realizing he was safe and gave a nervous smile to his rescuer, Odette, who was holding the stick to keep it from moving.
"Oh thank you, Odette." began Jean-Bob before dropping the stick and landing on the ground. "Thank you." said Jean-Bob bowing in a courteous manner. "Let me have that." said Jean-Bob as Odette passed him the stick which was still bent. "Silence, you savages." said Jean-Bob letting go of the stick, causing it to hit one of the alligators, much to his amusement before the stick hit him as well.
Needless to say, Cera burst out laughing at that.
"Now that was funny. Hahaha." said Cera.
"Are you all right, Jean-Bob? Jean-Bob?" said Odette with concern.
"Oui, oui, oui, Odette, yes, I'm all right." said Jean-Bob.
"What in the world were you trying to do?" asked Odette.
"He think that if…" began Petrie.
"Shh." said Jean-Bob shushing the flyer. "I wanted to get those flowers for you."
"You're being sneaky again, Jean-Bob." said Odette with a wink.
"What sneaky? You deserve a nice bouquet." said Jean-Bob climbing on a rock.
"And you deserve a kiss." said Odette.
"Well, all right." said Jean-Bob leaning in for a kiss, but ended up falling off the rock.
"Jean-Bob, remember she's under a spell." said Littlefoot.
"But my kiss will break the spell." said Jean-Bob.
"When will he get it through his head that he isn't a prince?" asked Cera.
"I think never, not even when Odette gives her a kiss. No, no, no." said Ducky.
"It would be easier if we went after Derek, but we don't know where we are and we don't know where he is." said Ruby.
"And Odette can't get too far away unless she wants to change into a human." said Chomper.
"There has to be a way to help her." said Littlefoot.
"Kids, I appreciate you wanting to help me, but the only way Derek will save me is only if he finds me." said Odette.
"And how are you so sure he will?" asked Ducky.
"I can feel it. In my heart." said Odette.
"That means you love him very much and I'm sure he loves you so much that he won't stop looking for you." said Littlefoot.
Odette
If I could break
this spell I'd run to him today
and somehow I know he's on his way to me.
Derek, you and I were meant to be.
Far longer than forever.
I'll hold you in my heart.
It's almost like you're here with me.
Although we're far apart.
Derek
Far longer than forever.
As constant as a star.
I close my eyes and I am where you are.
Odette
Sure as the dawn brings the sunrise.
We've an unshakeable bond.
Derek
Destined to last for a lifetime
and beyond…
Far longer than forever.
Odette
Far longer than forever.
Derek
I swear that I'll be true.
Odette
I swear that I'll be true.
Derek
I've made an…
Odette and Derek
everlasting vow
to find a way to you.
Far longer than forever.
Like no love ever known.
Odette
And with your love…
Odette and Derek
I'll never be alone.
Odette
Far longer than forever.
Derek
Much stronger than forever.
Odette
And with your love I'll never be alone.
Suddenly, a puffin flew by with an arrow in his wing, making him difficult to fly due to fatigue and pain.
In the end, he couldn't take it anymore and ended up falling to the ground, drawing the attention of the others who stood around him.
"You think he's dead?" asked Speed.
"No, it's just his wing, I think." said Odette as Jean-Bob got off the turtle and lifted the puffin's head a little.
"Strange-looking bird." said Jean-Bob before letting go of the head.
"Me see lots of rare fliers in this place, but not one like him." said Petrie.
"Poor fellow. He must be in a lot of pain." said Odette.
"What can we do?" asked Littlefoot.
"For the time being, you'd better hold him." said Odette, making the others hold the puffin tightly.
"Ready." said Chomper.
That's when Odette snapped the arrow and pulled it out of his wing, causing the puffin to scream in pain.
Quickly, Odette tore off a piece of her dress to bandage his wounded wing.
With that finished, Jean-Bob lifted the eyelid of one of the puffin's eyes.
"'Allo! This is your wake-up call!" said Jean-Bob.
The next moment, the puffin woke up with a leap and a scream while doing a karate pose.
He then approached with another karate pose towards the animals and the gang, who were a bit startled by it to the point where Speed went into his shell.
"It takes more than a pair of pond folks to keep Puffin down! Hi-yah!" said the puffin as he struck karate poses.
"Wait, I'm your friend." said Odette trying to calm him down.
"If you were me friend, how come you have an arrow in your hand, ah, a-hah?" asked Puffin before taking the arrow from the princess and tapping her chin a few times, making her chuckle by tickles. "Yes! The exact kind of arrow I have in…" began Puffin pointing to the wing where he had the arrow, only to be shocked to see that it was gone, he even rolled up his feathers like a sleeve to check.
"She pulled it out of you after you fell out of the sky." said Littlefoot.
"You mean you had a chance to kkkt." began Puffin making a slashing gesture at his neck. "But instead you pfft?" asked Puffin gesturing to pull the arrow out of his wing.
"U-huh." said Odette nodding at him in confirmation.
"Madam, I apologize." began Puffin before striking a military pose. "Me name is Puffin. Lieutenant Puffin." said Puffin giving a military salute that Jean-Bob, Speed, Ducky, Petrie, Chomper, Spike and Ruby mimicked, although Jean-Bob did it as he was mocking.
"It's a pleasure, Lieutenant Puffin. I'm Odette. Princess Odette." said Odette giving her hand to the puffin for him to kiss. "And these are my friends. Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper, Ruby, Speed and Jean-Bob." said Odette introducing them all.
"Your Highness to you, friend." said Jean-Bob, to the puffin's confusion.
"He thinks he's a prince." whispered Littlefoot.
Puffin turned his head to the side to let out a cuckoo whistle.
"I owe ya, Princess. And I intend on stayin' until me debt is paid." said Puffin.
"I don't think there's much you can do." said Odette.
"After all, she is under a spell. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"What? You mean a magical…?" began Puffin waving his fingers pointing at the ground while making funny noises with his tongue.
Suddenly, in the same area where he pointed, a flower emerged, much to the surprise of the puffin who looked at his hands in confusion.
"Yeah, like that. I didn't know you could do something like that." said Ruby.
"And I can't." said Puffin.
That's when the rest of the surrounding environment began to change and it went from ruins in the middle of a forest in the middle of the night to a beautiful field in the middle of the day with the newly repaired ruins.
"Oh, no. Hurry up. Let's hide." said Littlefoot as he and the others went to hide, taking Puffin with them.
At that moment, Rothbart appeared from behind a stone archway in golden armor as Odette turned around with folded arms and a scowl.
"Your knight in shining armor has come to set you free." said Rothbart.
"Lemme at 'im, lemme at 'im… I'll…" said Puffin ready to go after him, but Jean-Bob and Speed held him in place.
"No way. If anyone's going to whip him, it'll be me." said Cera also ready to go, but the others in the gang held her in place.
"Shh. Chill." said Littlefoot managing to get the two to stop.
"All it takes is one little word." began Rothbart before kneeling before her. "Will you marry me?"
"Every night you ask the same question. And every night I give you the same answer. I'll die first." said Odette firm in her resolve.
"You're really starting to bug me." said Rothbart getting up as he undid his suit and the surrounding atmosphere, returning everything to normal.
"I should think you'd be used to it by now." said Odette.
"That's it! Just keep pushing it. But someday I'm going to boil over!" said Rothbart as his face turned red with anger.
"Go ahead then! But I'll never give you my father's kingdom." said Odette.
Rothbart let out moans and murmurs of complaint as he pulled away a little and then managed to calm down.
"I was hoping you'd say you'd be mine. But it looks as if you need another day to think about it." Rothbart said pointing to the sky, where Odette could see the moon was setting.
"No." said Odette stepping into the lake, for she knew what was coming as Rothbart laughed maliciously.
Odette covered her face with her hands in sadness as a golden circle formed in the water below her and then the water swirled around her and then, Odette stepped into the water to resurface as a swan.
Odette stood there as she shed tears of sadness.
With that finished, Rothbart took off, leaving the place altogether.
The gang approached the shore and looked sadly at their friend who had to suffer that horrible curse because of that man.
Meanwhile, Puffin stood with his eyes and mouth open in shock.
"Princess… Princess!" said Puffin in surprise.
Littlefoot couldn't stand her friend being in that state.
If there was a way to break the spell right then and there, he would use it, but alas, there was none.
Wanting to cheer her up somehow, he and the others in the gang waded into the lake so they could get closer to her.
Spike licked her face to get her attention.
"Odette, are you okay?" asked Ducky.
"I don't know if I can take it anymore." said Odette.
"Take it easy, Odette. Everything will be all right." said Littlefoot trying to cheer her up.
"How? You heard him. Someday, he'll run out of patience and I don't know what he'll do to me. He might even leave me as a swan forever." said Odette.
"If he even thinks of doing that, I swear he'll pay dearly for it." said Cera.
"He have to go over our heads." said Petrie.
"That's right, we won't let him do anything to you." said Chomper.
"Friends are there to help each other and since we are friends, we help each other." said Ruby.
"I don't know what will happen, but I can tell you that all of us will stand by you and help you no matter what." said Littlefoot making Odette perk up a little, but not enough.
Littlefoot
When you're stuck in a hole
and you don't know where to go.
Ruby
When it's too dark for you to tell your tail from your toe.
Cera
You wonder which way is wrong
and which road is right.
Littlefoot
The best thing for you to do is just
look for the light.
Ducky
Look for the light,
one little spark.
Petrie
A little bit of hope to lead you out of the dark.
Chomper
Somewhere deep inside of you,
it's shining so bright.
Littlefoot
All you gotta do is look,
you gotta look for the light.
Cera
If there's a wall,
sometimes you bump it.
Ducky
A big ol' rock,
you have to jump it.
Chomper
Maybe you're tired,
maybe you're scared.
Ruby
But the only thing you have to be…
is be prepared…
Littlefoot
To look for the light and open your eyes.
Petrie
You never when you gonna find a surprise.
Ducky
Some things may tickle you,
others may bite.
Littlefoot
So listen to my sister, milady,
come on and look for the light.
Get up and look for the light.
Get up and look for the light.
Come on and look for the light.
That made Odette shed tears of joy at having friends as good as them and then, she and Littlefoot rubbed their heads together.
"Hey, I admit this is a touching moment and I respect that, BUT WILL SOMEONE PLEASE DO ME THE FAVOR OF EXPLAINING WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!" asked Puffin, causing the others to chuckle a little.
