The following morning, Apple was in her room sitting at her window when there was a knock on the door.
"Brought you breakfast," said Faybelle as she walked in with a tray that she sat down on a table.
"We also heard from you mother," she said.
"What did she say?" asked Apple.
"That she's on her way with replacement seeds and a girl named Briar who wants to make sure you are safe," said Faybelle.
"Oh, Briar is the girl that you winked at during my birthday party when you were leaving with Raven and Cerise," said Apple as she moved from the window to sit down at the table.
"Any chance I can get her number?" asked Faybelle.
"Not sure, you would have to ask her when she gets here," said Apple while playing with the food on her plate.
"Just so you know, Raven is not mad at you," said Faybelle.
"Then why did she lock me up in the guest room and not even come to see me since what happened yesterday, because it seems to me that she is plenty mad," said Apple.
"Truth is that she's worried that someone may use this as an hexcuse to kill you and restart the war," said Faybelle.
"You may not have had a hand in poisoning the seeds, but they were under your watch while on the move so you are partially responsible for allowing them to get poisoned," she said.
"I… I didn't think of that," said a stunned Apple.
"Raven is the one who wants peace more than anyone," said Faybelle.
"What did you do with the tainted seeds?" asked Apple.
"Some human citizens moved them to a safe place and they are currently being guarded by them, your mother is supposed to take them back with her when he leaves," said Faybelle.
"And the goblin who was hurt?" asked Apple.
"Luckily he was not in contact for long and will pull through," said Faybelle who took her leave.
"That's great news," said Apple with a sigh of relief. She then began to eat her breakfast.
