That night, Apple and Briar were eating dinner with Raven, Cerise, and Faybelle in the large dining room.
"This is good," said Apple.
"The meat is really tender and juicy, far more so than any other that I have tasted, what animal is it from?" asked Briar while cutting up a steak.
"It's minotaur meat," said Faybelle.
"First time I've had demon beast meat," said Apple as she took another bite of her food.
"Normal animals don't live in our territory so we have to hunt demon beasts for food, and it's a better thing as most beasts give more than normal animals ever could," said Raven.
"Makes sense," said Briar. The door then opened as a soldier walked in.
"Sorry that I'm late," said the soldier while taking his helmet off and sitting down at an empty seat.
"Thought you were going to see that girl of yours, Hunter," said Cerise while giving him a teasing smirk.
"She has to take stock at her store so I'm going to see her later," said Hunter.
"You're the knight who took Daring away the other day," said Apple as she recognized him.
"That's right, my name is Hunter Huntsman by the way," said Hunter with a friendly smile.
"Nice to meet you," said Apple while returning the smile.
"So, does anyone have anything planned for tomorrow?" asked Faybelle.
"I'm going to check on the orphanage, would you like to come with me, Apple, I would like to hear what you have to say about the programs we have in place for it," said Raven.
"Sounds interesting so count me in," said an excited Apple.
"How about we go shopping then Briar, I'm sure you and Apple would like some new clothes while you are here," said Faybelle.
"That would be alright with me," said Briar as she blushed slightly .
"Then how about we meet up at Ginger's bakery around noon?" asked Hunter.
"I can introduce the two of you to my girlfriend then while we all get something to eat for lunch," he said.
"Sounds like we have a plan then," said Apple.
