The following morning, Raven and Apple had gone to the orphanage where the demon was suddenly surrounded by dozens of kids.
"Raven!" yelled all the kids with big smiles.
"Are you here to play with us?" asked a human girl.
"Of course, I even brought a new friend with me who wanted to meet you," said Raven as she motioned to Apple.
"Pretty," said a cat demon girl while looking at Apple's hair.
"Are you the human princess we heard about?" asked a human boy.
"That's right, and it's nice to meet all of you," said Apple with a smile.
"Hm, hey, why is that boy not over here?" she asked as she pointed at a rabbit demon who was wearing a hat and avoiding everyone by standing off to the side far from them.
"That's Robbert, his family was attacked by some humans at the border a few years ago," said the Orphanage Head who walked over.
"They cut his ears off, leaving him deaf," said Raven.
"We had managed to catch them and they were given the death penalty for their crimes, but the scars still run deep," she said.
"Can he sign?" asked Apple while tightening her fists.
"Yes, but…," said Raven as Apple moved to stand in front of Robbert who jumped from suddenly being faced with a human.
[Hi, I'm Apple] signed Apple.
[Please don't hurt me] signed Robbert, his hands shaking.
[I won't hurt you, just wondered if you wanted to play with us] signed Apple while motioning to the other kids.
[But I can't hear] signed Robbert.
[You don't need to hear to play soccer] signed Apple while noticing a ball sitting nearby and smiling as she pointed at it.
"Well, she's something else," said the Orphanage Head while Apple and Robbert walked over to the other kids who had already grabbed the ball and were getting ready to play.
"She sure is," said Raven with a big smile at the sight of Apple playing with the kids.
