Over at one of the stores in town, Briar and Faybelle had been checking out some clothing racks.
"Oh, this would look amazing on Apple," said Briar while picking a dress off the rack in order to get a better look at it.
"Are you sure it will fit her?" asked Faybelle.
"I've done enough shopping with that girl to know her size," said Briar.
"Cool," said Faybelle.
"What about you and Raven, have you two ever gone on a shopping trip together before or anything?" asked Briar.
"Actually we weren't originally as close as we are now, in fact I hated it when she called off the war," said Faybelle.
"You wanted to fight in it?" asked a surprised Briar.
"My clan has been hurt by both humans and other fairies for a long time, we even lost family members because humans wanted our wings to mount on their walls," said Faybelle while looking back at her wings in a mirror.
"So yeah, I've had a lot of hate for them built up since I was a little girl," she said.
"What changed your mind?" asked Briar.
"I watched first hand as Raven jumped in front of an arrow shot by a human that had aimed at a demon child," said Faybelle.
"She what?" asked Briar who had dropped the clothes she had been holding out of shock.
"After using her magic to remove the arrow she caught the guy," said Faybelle who used her magic to pick the clothes back up and sat them down on a nearby chair.
"But it was the human refugees who really surprised me, they were first to check on her and the kid, some of them even beat the snot out of the shooter before the guards could take him away," she said.
"What happened to him after that?" asked Briar.
"How about I tell you the rest over dinner this Faeday?" asked Faybelle.
"Sounds like a date," said Briar with a smile.
"Great, we'll leave the castle around six, I know a great restaurant," said Faybelle who was also smiling.
