In this chapter it'll be slightly based on the episode secrets as we won't be focusing on that little arc for artemis and zatana but we will see deliah spend some time with her friends and meet new faces Justice belongs to greg wiseman and Brandon Vietti.

Chapter 31:Halloween Tricks

October 31st 7:38pm

It was a typical day of the year where people would dress up in their favorite costume and show others their outfit to get some treats. Though right now wally was being annoying like usual howling toward the moon it seems as he was dressed up like a werewolf for his costume right now

"Really buddy? You aint gonna join me"wally asked the wolf as he layed his head down sleeping but ghost made a small howl making jinny laugh

"This little partner right here is helping yah out"jinny joked decked out in a cowgirl themed outfit herself while conner was in a mechnica style outfit for his halloween costume as she forced him into it.

"Stop torturing him he doesn't like it"conner warned as deliah was being helped with her costume by m'gann as she was tying the back of a kimono as she sported a kitstune styled mask on her face right now for all to see colored black with white lining it along with sporting a jet black kimino showing some of her cleavage

"Awkard for you to be the fifth wheel on our date eh conner"wally said leaning against jinny who shared a look with conner as they haven't told anyone of their new relationship yet as they never will for now.

As they where getting ready deliah was curious"So what are you going as"She asked as the martin smiled before suddenly she shifted her appearance into a zombie wearing a birdel like outfit with pale skin and black lips with heavy eyeshaodw and browns eyes. Close by was m'comm who stared at them all just very confused right now

"Earthling shift during a certain day of the year"m'comm questioned as they eyed him for a moment

"You don't know about halloween"jinny asked as the holiday seemed a little foreign to him in a way

"I heard of it briefly from uncle j'onn but never of the holiday"m'comm admitted as the zeta tube lit up at that very moment as stepping in was artemis and zatana right now. As they where stepping in artemis wore a high collar coat with dark collars underneath and her hair still pulled in her signature ponytail. While zatana wore a traditional witch costume for her look right now

"Hey everyone sorry were late"artemis said as they waved to them

'Outfits look great kiddies your gonna make a killing their"Red-x said close by leaning against a wall it seems as he was in his usually outfit

"Right the guy whos always in his own halloween costume comments on our costumes"wally joked at his expense

"Nice one wally!"Captain marvel said walking over toward them dressed with zombie makeup on his face right now as they where a little surprised

"Ohhh zombie captain marvel hilarious"artemis said disappointing the man just a little hearing that

"Is the league having a halloween party my dad never mentioned it"zatana said

"Well you see i–"captain marvel was stopped as revenant wrapped an arm around him

"Ohhh hes coming with me to hang out with greg . were doing this big little party for all the kids back at my homecity. We plan to have games…dancing and offering large buckets of candy to all"Revenant said as the man eyed him smiling

"Thats right! I totally forgot well see you guys"captain marvel said as the two left through the zeta tube as jinny chuckled

"Man that guy acts pretty childish"jinny commented

"You know hes a kid right"red-x suddenly said with them eyeing him as wally laughed at that

"Hes not a kid go be weird and mysterious dude"wally said as the thief shrugged his shoulder stepping away right now to do his own thing it seems. As he walked away from the group he felt something buzz as he pulled his phone out seeing a message from someone growling

"Dammit that was tonight…guess i gotta flee the coop"red-x said eyeing his tracker on his ankle finding this to be a hindrance as he may need to find a way to flee the cave right now

As the others stood their for a bit artemis, m'gann, zatana and deliah where talking right now as artemis sighed

"I'm hoping tonight goes well because i wouldn't mind trying to get a piece of him for once"artemis said gesturing to conner as they stared at him and jinny laughing with each other

"So how long have they been a couple?"zatana asked as this startled artemis for a brief moment

"Couple? No way their…."She slowly stopped before realizing something she saw her helping tie a dewrag around his neck smiling at him. As she stared at the sight she straightens up as her gaze narrows hard which deliah noticed

"Oh god are you jealous"deliah asked making her growl

"Me jealous? No…no…just…i aint in the mood now. Maybe sitting at home with my mom sounds much better than that boring dance"Artemis said but seeing this zatana stepped forward grabbing her hand

"Their are other options. Egnahc sehtolc otni rou smroufinu!"She incanted before both got covered by a smoke as it cleared to reeal these two in their own outfits right now

"We can go on a girls night out"zatana said making artemis smile

"Oh i like the sound of that i–"Deliah was stopped glancing at m'gann who really wanted to go to the dance as she sighed

"Nevermind i'm heading to the dance you two have some fun without us"deliah said as the two nodded leaving right now for their little girls night out

Meanhile in a different room right now sat batman, red tornado, red arrow, robin and aqualad as they where all sitting their

"Computer secure the room"batman commanded as the room locked itself

"I'll cut to it. Do we believe theirs still a mole in the team"batman asked as their was some silence with kaldur stepping forward

"I am convinced there is not isgn of their being a mole in the group. When sportmaster claimed an inside source it must have been to merely sow dissent"kaldur said

"His intel could have been easily comparing note with villains working for the injustice league. Think about if anyone on the team worked with those creepoids they-"Robin was stopped right their in his sentence

"He or she would have betrayed us to fight against them"aquald finished but someone wasn't buying it right now

"I aint buying it"roy said as they eyed him

"Sure you two and kid flash are in the clear. Along with hex since she was raised by greg for most of her life. But i know for certain artemis and red-x aren't shooting straight. Including wraith"ray firmly said

"How can you be certain"Robin replied

"Because artemis isn't green arrows niece at all"roy said startling his two friends right now hearing those words

"What'kaldur asked with wide eyes as robin looked at him for a moment

"Well duh her parents are well–"robin was stopped

"Enough. Artemis relations may indeed make her a suspect. But she still entitled to her secret identity"batman warned as robin sat down lower as batman turned to face red arrow

"I'm more concerned with superboy. We know little of cadmus project and what they've programmed into their weapon. He may not even know hes the mole"batman concluded

"What about miss martian? Shes is manhunter niece but he told black cnary he has a few hundred nieces and nephews. Along with that her brother and her only met him just five months ago after he stowed away on his trip to earth"roy firmly said as the heroes thought for a moment

"This will change nothing. I have fought side by side with these people as none of them are traditors"kaldur said but roy pointed two main suspect

"Really? Did you know that deliah true father is slade wilson also known as deathstroke"kaldur said making the atlatian slightly go wide eyed right no as he didn't with him eyeing robin who sighed

"I knew the entire time"robin admitted not hiding it

"Shes…the daughter of….an assassin"kaldur said in some minor shock with batman crossing his arms

"Her mother asked us to keep her safe from her husband since she is a former league of the assassin member"batman said as roy eyed him down

"Of course you would know about this? Let me guess you think she might be a spy too"roy asked as the dark knight assumed that but was more worried about her powers

"I am more concerned with her power we barely know little of them. Her mother has refused to even share the details on them and….she knows about her true identity and father."batman said as robin and kaldur shared a look

"So you think she might….contact him to meet him"kaldur suggested

"It's possible but as for red-x hes a mystery still"batman said but as he said that suddenly a alarm went off on his utility belt as he grunted a little

As robin eyed it"let me guess right when we saw his name something happens"robin said as they quickly left the room as they returned to the thief own room. Once the doors opened it revealed the tracking bracelet on the ground as red tornado picked it up

"It seems he has left the cave"red tornado said as the dark knight barely seemed bothered by it

"He won't be getting far i'm sure"batman said as he projected his own hologlove off his gauntlet as he sent something to robin suddenly that being a tracker that seemed to be moving around as he eyed his mentor

"A tracking chip? When did you put one on him"Robin said

"When he was getting medical care from the doctors after a patrol some of you went on. He didn't know that while at star labs he was injected with a tracking chip to monitor his vitals and heartbeat. "Batman said

'Then we have our mole"Roy said but the dark knight corrected him on that

"You don't have a mole. I would suggest you follow him and keep an eye on him radio silence"batman said as it confused the three superheroes who nodded seeming to have a mission on his spooky night

As the others had arrived at their halloween party right now as they where reaching the highschool right now. But waiting for them outside was some friends of deliah right now that being richie, meadow and sean all dressed up for the occasion. As richie modified his wheelchair right now to be shaped like a go cart along with sporting a mario styled outfit for his costume. With sean wearing a irish mobster style out while meadow wore a fairy like outfit

"You guys made it"meadow greet hugging her friend who hugged her back

"You too but ummm uh guys this is…well more friends of mine if you umm you know"deliah said as they knew with sean waving to them

"Aye your the cowgirl chick i met before and you are…."sean said to conner

"Conner"conner greeted

As m'comm scoffed as meadow eyed him"Well whos this mysterious individual"she asked as the martin wasn't dressed up as he had his white skin making it look like he had a costume right now

"None of your business"m'comm warned as m'gann nervously laughed

"Hes my uh little brother."m'gann said eyeing him as she suddenly did something

"And they know about me being a martian'She said through their mindlink with richie holding his head shaking it with starry eyes

"Oh my god this is cool! Its straight out of a comic!"richie thought to speak as it was a little too loud with jinny rubbing her head

"Okay this is just weird hearing they knew about uhhh you know"jinny said through their link

"Guys stop it people will start to stare"deliah said as they agreed heading inside for the night of fun and partying. Once inside of the gym it was a large celebration with everyone walking inside but saw alot of people dressed in a wife variety of outfits right now as they did someone called to them

"Who did your make up girl"karen said in a bumblebee style outfit with mal by her in a superman styled outfit it seems. While someone else was next to them that being a teen girl who was maybe sixteen with her having a dark skin complexion and short choppy brown hair. As she sported a pair of fox ears from a prop of her outfit on her head colored orange with a orange kimono on herself

Mal studied conner'biker"he asked

"Mechanic actually"conner corrected

"And what are you?"jinny asked as the teen smirked

"Superman done right. Though seems you brought friends"mal commented as richie wheeled his way over

"Hey i'm richie where friend of deliah here. The one who swapping spit i heard with the wedding zombie"richie said as m'gann stared at him as their friends from happy harbor didn't know with deliah blushing a little as karen blinked as she laughed to hear that

'You two are dating? Well i didn't know megan swung for girls thats just cute"karen commented as the other girl laughed

"That is just funny and cute"she said as jinny eyed her

"Who are you?"jinny asked

"Mari jiwe mccade"mari said as jinny waved to her

"Jinny hex"jinny replied as it caught richie ears hearing her last name

"Wait as in the relative of the greatest gunslinger in the west jonah hex"richie asked excited as the cowgirl tipped her hat to him

"You know it partner"jinny said as karen laughed

"Well we got some celebrity but i'm karin, mal and you met mari and this is…marvin"karin said gesutirng to marvin on his PDA right now typing away on it

"Ignore him he thinks where being invaded by martins"mari said as m'comm stared at his sister for a moment sharing a look

"I never said it. Its report on the inter web and i aint the only one getting them"marvins aid as if on cue everyone cells all beeped as they quickly passed through the gym as mal chuckled

"Its just a prank gone viral right"mal asked hesitantly it seems

"Dude it is a prank. Every hear of martian manhunter. Martian aren't hostile"a random studnet said as m'gann nervously laughed

"Yeah of course not"m'gann said looking down it seems which deliah noticed concerned

Star labs october 31st 9:45pm

Elsewhere in the world was robin with kaldur and roy right now tailing the mysterious thief to where ever he was going. As they where following the trace right now they where following it as they where walking toward starlabs right now

"So he came here….why?"robin questioned aloud to himself

"Maybe to steal some more intel and equipment to sell to our enemies"roy said but the atlantian had a better idea as he could assume what else is here

"Or he is here for a simple visit"kaldur said gesturing for them to follow them inside. As they stepped inside the guards welcomed them right into the lab and as they walked into the lab they didn't need to search far. As they slowly made their way into a room right now as in the room was professor hamilton along with their mysterious thief doing something right now

That being sitting on a bed with that little girl he took care of right now as on said bed was something that being a large pile of candy. Also their was jinx as piper was eating a candy bar in her hands right now as the professor noticed them

"Ah it seems that we have more cosutmed visitors. I'm sorry but where fresh out of candy"the man joked as the three stared at the sight with red-x eyeing them through his mask as he grabbed an apple tossing it over as roy caught it

"Want a juicy apple for halloween?"red-x said as roy put it down

"No thanks they usually contain razor blades and…"roy paused taking a candy bar for himself

"I'm surprised you cut off your little ankle monitor to just come here and spend time with this little kid you rescued"roy added as jinx shrugged her shoulder

"Hey the guy barely visited her and she keeps asking for her apparent big brother"jinx said as the little girl hugged the thief

"Thank you for candies"piper said as he rubbed her head gently with robin thinking of why his mentor sent them here exactly as the boy wonder pulled a chair up eyeing him

"You cut off your little monitor so you have an excuse to see her without being tracked. Since well…star labs is a leading group in new technologials"robin said but the professor supported him it seems

"It may be but i'm sure the young man means no harm. Besides the suit he wears is an old pet project of mine along with a colleague"hamilton said surprising them with the thief shsuhing him

"Might not wanna give more secrets i just stole the design and made it myself"red-x warned as the researcher chuckled

"Sure you did but i'm glad to see that rescue suit i design being put to some good use"hamilton said with roy eyeing kaldur as the three decided to spend some time here. As they did robin kept a close eye on the thief marking him as a possible spy for their own side as he knew someone like him would never betray someone unless this little kid was threaten which he plans to not let happen.

Back at the party right now things where in full swing with everyone dancing with someone during the night. As they where off to the side was m'gann sitting their awkwardly for a bit as looking at her from a distance was deliah looking worried for her girlfriend with m'comm and meadow by her side along with wally as they saw her looking upset

"Is she gonna be okay"wally asked

As m'comm eyed her"She must be worried how that boy mentioned martians since you know"m'comm said as meadow sighed

"Thats kinda mean how someone just pulling a prank"meadow

"How can it be a prank"deliah asked as her friend eyed her

"Really? Its so obviously a prank because if it wasn't you guys would be out their trying to reach peace agreements. Besides…i'm still trying to figure out his costume"meaodw said as the martian eyed her

"This is my skin and my si…nothing"m'comm said confusing them for a brief moment but eyeing him was deliah as she sighed heavily

"Your talking about her true skin and what she is….shes like you"deliah suddenly said startling m'comm as wally choked on his drink for a brief moment right now coughing a little

"W-wait what?! Shes…wait she aint a…."Wally paused for a moment as m'comm looked at them for a moment before suddenly dragging them outside. Once their the martian eyed them with an intense glare growling for a brief moment

"How do you know"m'comm asked as deliah tapped her head for a brief moment

"I know since i was in her head during the events in the desert. I mean…..i've always known and well…i've been waiting for her to tell me"deliah said surprising m'comm with wally even surprised

"Wait so m'gann is…wait she a white martian? Whats the big deal with that"wally asked

"Yeah i mean the green one are the ones you see on tv typical. I didn't know their where other colors"meadow as m'comm crossed his arms softening his gaze worried for his older sister

"If i can put this in perspective from the books i read here while on earth. The best example to use is that martin luther king figure who spoke up for african american rights"m'comm started but meadow got what he was implying

"That other people treat them like their different even though their the same race. So pretty much their…racist"meadow concluded

"You are half right me and her are a'ashenn. Uncle j'onn is a g'arrunn while the reds are b'lahdenn. The reds and greens have always treated the white martians with…terriblre prejudice"m'comm said with a upset look rubbing his arm as deliah could only suspect he had some form of abuse their

As the teen sighed"hey look if your telling us this we won't tell my girlfriend"she said as he eyed her as his eyes glowed green for a moment as wally felt a slight itch in his head

"Uhhh what did you do"Wally asked

"I put a small mental block on this encounter so incase she reads your mind she won't know. But…you have several in your own mind it seems"m'comm said to deliah who eyed him for a brief moment hearing those words as she recalled what exactly happened

"Right that….i umm lets not talk about that"deliah said as the door opened with marvin stepping out

"What are you all doing out here? Didn't you hear the announcement on the P.A?"marvin smugly asked as the four shared looks

"No what are you talking about"Wally replied

"The martians are invading and your suppose to be inside for your safety"marvin said as they shared look with delilah eyeing him as she stared at him creeping him out

"Yeah right….i'm gonna go check on my girl you three don't cause trouble"deliah said as the three walked inside. As they where they shared looks with jinny and conner along with richie as the wheelchair bounded boy grinned eyeing the so called student known as marvin

Elsewhere in the gym m'gann was sitting at a chair alone right now in her own thoughts as karen and her friend mari where with her right now

"Hey girl come on whats got you so bummed out right now"karen asked

"Its nothing just….worried about some stuff is all"m'gann replied

"Oh really? I just met you and karen told me how much of a bubbly and happy girl you are. All i'm seeing is someone upset"mari said as walking over was deliah with some punch in hand as she sat down next to her girlfriend

"Maybe she upset that we live in different cities and i'll probably be leaving for home again soon. Brought a drink though"Deliah said offering her some punch as m'gann took it as karen chuckled

"Okay miss rich girl who flew here in a private jet"karen taunted

"Funny though i'm one to talk since i had to come in one"mari replied

"Really? Are you rich or something"delaih asked

"My pops is since he runs a huge museum back in newyork recently i heard some nutcase robbed the joint today on my way here."mari replied

"Really what did this nutcase steal"karen asked

"Some sword called the sword of beowulf or whatever but–"mari was stopped as marvin bursted into the room with a panic it seems as he screamed

"Martins are invading!"he screamed making m'gann look down but some students approached him

"We get it marvin chill out"a female student said

"No! Before i pulled a prank! Now its real and four people got taken out by them! It killed them!"he said

"Which four people"deliah said walking over with a grin

"Them!"he shouted pointing at conner, jinny, wally and meadow as wheeling his way in was richie holding a projector in his hands as m'comm held a small device with the nerd grinning

"You mean this alien mr i played a prank"richie said as it projected a stereotypical representation of a martin as marvin saw his peets eyeing him for a moment

"Marvin"someone said as he nervously laughed with m'gann laughing a little as deliah offered her a hand for the dance tonight as she took it to enjoy a nice night together. Though watching from the distance it seems was someone that being rose who sat in a tree grinning to herself

"Well isn't that just cute…little sister is dating a alien"rose said but as she glanced back she chuckled

"I know your their little brother"rose said as someone was in his the shadows eyeing here with two white slits being seen as suddenly something was thrown by the assassin feed. That being a throwing knife as suddenly she heard something in her head

"Stay away from her along with father. If you come near her…i will know our other mother sends her regards"a male voice said with rose smiling to herself as it seems that someone has more siblings than she thought in the world

With that we close another chapter as rose watches over her apperent sister with a new figure in play seeming to have a connection with deliah herself. Though she also seems to know about m'gann being a white martian but keeps it from her for now. Thanks for reading!
