Chapter 35: Hello Martin! Part 1
Mount justice november 22nd 9:42 am
It was a shiny new day over the coastline town of happy harbout as the seagulls wheres all squawking and looking for their next meal. As in the main hall right now as black canary, green arrow in civlians clothes with batman, red tornado, martian manhunter their along with nico snickering to himself
"Why is he laughing"oliver questioned confused as sighing was batman
"We need to show you both something"batman informed them showing them a fight against dinah and deliah right now showing them going back and forth with her grabbing the wrist with both her hands pulling her down to her level
"Almost had me their deliah you deserve this"Dinah said suddenly showing her kissing the teen girl on the lips as she placed her hands on her shoulder stunning them all as oliver eyes widden with nico bursting into laughter
"Dinah!"he shouted
"Thats not me! Freez playback…that never even happened!"she shouted as it replied it as the unbothered batman spoke up
"Keep watching. Play"he said as it kept playing before showing the two pull apart as dianh their laughed before sifting to m'gann into her usually outfit as cracking a smile now laughing was oliver with him and nico both laughing to the women annoyance
"Don't you laugh! She and he…i…i…this is not funny!"dinah shouted in rage on such a thing right now
"But it sure is!"nico shouted as the women was tempted to blast him with her canary cry on him though j'onn spoke up
"Please understand on mars this is a common game. My people shapeshfit and read mins so no ever one is ever misled and i'm certain deliah knew it was m'gann from the first start"j'onn reassured but it did little to make her happy
"We are not on mars. "Dianh firmly reminded as he knew full well of that
"I know but my niece and nephew do not understand things are different on earth"j'onn said
"Then i'm making her understand"dinah said worrying them just a tad bit on that as right now in m'gann room she was humming for a moment as her brother eyed her for a moment with a worrisome look across his face
"M'gann are you still watching those shows"m'comm asked as she flinched eyeing her brother for a moment
"I uh like them little brother just uh…can we not talk about this please"She replied as he tried to continue further but a knock on the door interrupted them at that moment
"M'gann we need to talk m'comm out now"dianh said as the martian eyed her before respecting her wishes as once he left right now dianh crossed her arms before giving it to her straight in a calm way
"M'gann you need to understand that doing such a thing is quite hurtful to someone. That this little game can be very hurtful you know what i'm talking about don't you"dianh asked as meekly m'gann rubbed her arm for a brief moment right now
"I know but just well…i'm really sorry"m'gann said as dianh knew how sincere the girl can be at times
"I know but please from now on just be yourself"she said wth a small smile but that seemed to bother the martian greatly being told that
"I am myself! This is uh who i am"m'gann said worried about something it seems as this made her worried for a moment by that worried why she reacted like that before the nearby intercom came on
"Robin, kid flash, superboy, miss martian, wraith and red-x report for mission briefing now"batman said as they eyed the intercom rushing over to the mission room. Once their it showed the group a middle aged man and a map of the two countries on the holoscreen
"Rumaan haargavti is the democratcially elected president of qurac. Hes been praised as a fair, wise leader. A humanitarian"batman said showing pictures of the man great deeds showing him helping his people and shaking hands with bruce wayne and philip bryce
"Sure"wally said dragging it out but raising his hand was a smug looking deliah
"Any friend of bruce wayne and uh philip is nice"deliah said with a smug look as batman continued
"But five days ago he allied himself with the dictator of the nieghboring nation of bialya queen bee the leader"he said popping a picture up of a beautiful women right now as whistling just a little was wally on her as conner scoffed
"Not a fan"he said
"Few aren't but haarjavti suddenly backs up queen bees baseless claims that qurac and biala where one nation in ancient times"he said as the map on the screen showed both counties flags over no border but only bialyas now remains on the board with a video playing telling them how president haarjavti is unifying their people with queen bee. With queen bee accepting it even
"And the quracies are okay with this"wally asked
"Hardly"he said showing a video in dhabar with people protesting and holding cameras but focused on a young boy holding a pregnant mothers hand as it seemed like she was saying something their but it was blocked out it seems
"Haarjavti is even cnesoring the prease with an armed riot response being set up. Even bialyan military forces have started to move into the county setting up chokepoints everywhere"batman said
"But she has to be controlling him doesn't she have the power to control most men"robin asked
"And some women"batman confirmed
"But not from a distance that long she hasn't left bialya so someone else is at work here find out what. Robin your the teams leader"batman said startling the boy wonder that he was the leader right now
"Me? What about aqualad?"robin asked
"Hes busy helping aquadman while hex is busy herself searching for bane i already have viganlente keeping tabs on her. While jinx is busy training her powers along with leonid your newest member joining you on this operation to test him"batman said as walking in was leonid
"I am ready commander"leonid said like some soldier as he wore his unfirom that being a pair of brown colored combat pants with black combat boots with a olive colored old fashion russian soldier outfit with a pair of green ski goggles and ushaka hat on his head as staring at him confused where the others
"Uhhh did he just call bats commander"deliah asked as he did
"Is that not what we do my father taught me to respect authority figures like they are captain he is the most fearsome of the leaguers"leonid said sounding like a suckup right now as sighing was red-x
"Great the walking nuke is dense as hell"red-x said
"Get geared up and ready"batman ordered as they all did a little worried for a moment was deliah speaking up on the matter
"Uhhhh if she can control women would that mean me and uh….m'gann being a risk here"deliah asked worried as they where into women as sighing was oliver
"You'll be fine it might not even affect you on the account of her having mind powers. Along with uh you having mental blocks or whatever in your head"oliver said walking away creeping her out just a tad bit right now
gotham november 22nd
It was a dark night in gotham right now as doing her own viganlente work was jinny scanning the rooftops for a certain masked crook as she managed to convince someone to help her on this little mission of hers that being sean and barbara getting formally introduced to each other now hearing how she wanted to track down this masked wrestler as finding it insane was barbara
"Do you know how insane you sound? Facing off against bane one of the most toughest crooks to beat around here. Whos second on gotham most wanted list second only to joker"barbara asked in utter shock how insane she was
"She crippled her mentor who is apparently letting us do this and where meeting a superhero"Sean said as close by was greg leaning against a building side as he knew this girl better than any of his buddies she would be to stubborn to listen to him as he tipped his hat
"Now this girl has fire in her veins like her mama boy. Besides i can't do much to stop her from doing this and well i wanna help keep her safe out of harms way"viglante said as laughing was barbara
"Your much nicer than that batman guy around here sometimes i kind of wish i did this superhero stuff sounds awesome. But i got no powers only knowledge in technology"barbara replied as speaking from experience was vigilante
"Darling i aint got a lick of powers on me except for some quick hands and a cando attitude. Along with a golden heart i know who yer pa is besides a girl like you its dangerous for you. Though i'm a betting man to see the chance in someone to prove themselves. First guy here to accept my partner here as a partner not some mere sidekick"viganlente said
"Not a sidekick like i said besides your pops better make good on this contact he told you about"jinny said
"He will loose lips lenny is a good source around gotham. Ears always to the ground and no one trusts him with a lick of info but hes the greatest intel broker here in gotham"sean replied
"Well then while your friends have fun on their missions were off to hunt the man who broke my leg lets go my deputies"greg said walking off the roof as they shared looks
"I'm not gonna let him call me that"barbara replied as they walked off after him
Qurac november 22nd
It was a new day for the savannah like country as bioship was flying through the empty space in the skies as a little excited for his first mission was leonid right now
"I am so excited for first mission. While uh the league be helping us"lenoid asked
"No and uh we use codenames while out on the field you should call us such"robin reminded as he thought about that having none of his own
"I do not have a codename what should i call myself"leonid asked as coming up with one was wraith
"Call yourself red star since you glow bright and red like a big old star"wraith said making m'gann laugh slightly as the russian hero loved that codename he was given as staring out the window was wally whistling
"Seems someone is in the middle of redecorating the place"kid flash said as tanks where running over barbed wire fences heading toward herds of animals spooking them getting close as footsoilder where out with flashlights and guns trained in on anything
"No oppositon guess haarjavti is in bed with bialya"conner relayed
"Wouldn't expect opposition here its an animal sanctuary"Robin relayed but staring at her teammates holo display he was using she saw a name on the display that excited her entire being seeing such a thing on their
"The logan animal sanctuary?"m'gann said almost sounding happy as he turned to her
"You heard of it"he asked but before she could reply kid flash saw something through the bioships wallas on the ground below seeing a stampede being caused by the tanks seeing them heading toward two people helping an injured animal unaware of the danger presented to them
The boy was a tanned skinned boy with blue eyes and messy red hair as he sported a pair of tan jeans and a black t-shirt under a navy blue short sleeve shirt unbuttoned.
Next to him a female with fair skin and red hair, blue eyes and freckles keeping said hair in a ponytail. Whole she wore firm boots, cargo shorts with a safari style jacket over a white shirt
"Seems the tanks caused a stampede and are heading for two people putting civlians in harms way"kid flash as the others saw them with superboy using his enhanced height seeing their genders
"Its a boy and a women"he relayed worrying m'gann to hear that
"We have to help them now"m'gann said urgently as robin frowned
"Were way off mission here"he said but eyed his teammates for a moment sighing as he turned to them
"Deploy but stealth mode"he ordered as she nodded
"Why stealth mode?"leonid asked
"If the bialyans know we hit em this becomes international news"he said as from the bioship a beam came out hitting a leading tank taking a tread out as it veered right into another tank causing issues with the crew who rushed out coughing from the smoke filling their vehicle
As they began to come out as suddenly the bioship moved past them in camouflage mode as a birdirang hit the ground as smoke came out making soldiers cough as swiflty kid flash kncoked them all out. As another beam came from the ship colored blue making the soldiers run scared over the fence as the animals are running toward the two civilians right now
As they where the women gasped pulling the boy to her chest to shield him but superboy drops from the ship yelling smashing into the ground creating a small crater grabbin the leader by the horns before forcing it to the ground with the remainsing ones going to the crater but the two run to the injured animal in need
"Oryx!"he called out but the creature runs away from the stamdpeede but suddenly he was raised far above the stampede right now as he looked down in shock unahrmed
"Whoa"he said
"Are you all okay"robin speaks from behind as KF held the soldiers guns while he tossed them to the ground as wraith stretched her shoulder out for a moment as the boy eyes went wide
"Mom? Mom. mom! We were just saved by robin and kid flash!'he cheered
"And superboy, miss martian, red-x, wraith and–"deliah was stopped
"Red star! Hello i am uh red star"red star said excited it seems to some surprise hearing him sounding so excited right now as miss martian remained invisible behind them for now but seeing the troops gone was red-x
"Grunts are gone from here say hello martian girl"red-x said as she dropped her insivability with her tugging her hood to take it down tucking her hair out of her head but seemed rather nervous
"H-hi"m'gann stutered to their shock but the boy seemed to be excited now but the women wasn;t
"You may have made things worse. The bialyan border crossing are a way of life here. Usually they wreck a few fences and move on. Engaging them might have made us a target now"the women warned
"Mom uncool"the boy said as she sighed
"Sorry i should thank you. This is my son garfield and i'm–"she was stopped by an excited m'gann right now
"Marie logan! I can't believe i'm actually meeting you in person!"she said very excited as they all shared a few strange looks as wraith cleared her throat toward her girlfriend for that little exciting tone. But she nearly laughed a little
"I've uh admired your stance on animal rights for years"She said stumble her words but that made red-x call her out
"You said you've been on earth for six months greenie"red-x pointed out as she panicked a little as the wildebeest superboy took down tobbles as marie ran over
"Oryx is sick and you injuried a wildebeest"marie said
"Sorry"superboy apologized as she sighed seeing it was a given fact this would happen
"Your quite alright but we need to get to our clinc now"marie said
"The boys can do that while we fix the fence with my uh girlfriend"m'gann said as wraith eyed her for a moment saying that
"Uhhh okay now that secret is out for the world to know"wraith said as robin sighed
"Thats not our mission we–"he was stopped as she looked at him with begging eyes as garfield grabbed his mothers jacket
"Mom please"he asked as the two where like parents before both sighed
'Fine"both said
"Yes"both cheered as they walked to the house as others shared some confused looks on the development of what is happening right now.
The sun had started to already come up for the team right now as the boys had headed from the barn to the house as itching themselves for a moment was wally
"Geez this stuff is itchy as heck how can anyone sleep in a barn"Wally asked
"I've slept in one before with my father and sister before back home. It quite nice except for the animal dung you can get used to it"leonid replied
"Filling out all the stereotypes huh buddy"red-x replied as they walked toward the house as they did a small monkey soon dropped from the tree startling them as it landed on conner who gasped as the monkey tormented wally making him flinch
"Hey! Get off me!"Wally demand but the monkey ran down his arms stealing one of his bars as he screeched jumping onto garfield shirt to enjoy the treat making garfield laugh a little
"Its okay meet monkey"garifled said
"Good name but i hate monkeys"conner growled
"I love them actually their quite intriguing"lenoid replied being the opposite of the clone who grumbled as they walked into the open concept home for the day as robin and kid flash took some chairs as red-x leaned against the window with red star checking the place out
"A lovely home you have"Red star pointed out
"Thanks we came here since mom wanted to save some animals and give them a home. Though weird thing about my mom and the martian girl"garifeld mentioned confusing them for a brief moment
"What are you talking about"kid flash asked
"I mean she looks exactly like my mom when she was younger but greener"garifeld replied confusing them right now
"She does?"conner replied
"Course she does she looks like this kids mom when she was a tv star for Hello Megan"red-x said unbothered by the revelation of such a thing as the others shared stunned looks to hear that her signtirue catchphrase and look was based off some random tv show
"Wait hello megan is a tv show?"kid flash asked stunned
"I thought it was something she said"Robin replied surprised slightly himself
"Well duh the show had one season back in the day way before we were born even. I think she has a tape somewhere here"garifled said looking around for the tape right now as they shared surprised looks right now together
As they did outside busy using her powers to easily fix the fence up from the damages was m'gann as she dropped it and guided the wire from a reel creating two rows before securing them tightly as deliah helped with some of the work laying the fence post down
"Well you two are quite effective"marie said pulling some wire cutter out as she began to get to work
"Tell that to the girl who has powers that can make her taller than she is still figuring them out even"wraith replied as m'gann looked at marie for a moment
"So how was it being megan?"m'gann asked as deliah eyed her girlfriend for that
"Being megan? I don' know i was young it was really fun"marie said beginning to work on the fence at that moment while m'gann tucked her hair behind her ear
"Remeber that time you were suppose to make cookies only you thought it be faster to make one giant coo–"she was stopped as her apparent idol gave her a huge reality check it seems
"Listen hello megan was a job. The person you saw on TV isn't who i am"she said in a serious world making the martian happiness just drop right their it seems. Back inside garfield found the tape blowing dust off the tape
"The pilot episode"Gardifled cheered
"You still have a VHS? Wheres your eight track"wally joked
"I had one as a child is that bad"leonid replied making him sound sad a little but something caught superboys ears that being the sound of a aircraft engine
"We got incoming aircrafts"superboy said
"Gar stay put we got this"robin said as they ran out with them all seeing as m'gann, maria and deliah are heading back with m'gann seeming troubled from the look of marie words early
"What is it"she asked numbly as the sound of engines was heard as they looked seeing three drones flying at them as they opened fire on them. Immediately diving to shield marie was m'gann as marie looked worried
"Where is my son"She asked
"Hes inside i told him to stay their"Robin replied
"Hes eight he doesn't take orders"marie says sternly before the barn doors close by open with garfield their waving to his mother and the others with a smile on his face
"Mom! i got the animals out everything is okay"garfield called out as suddenly the drones did a flyby spinning their guns firing at him kicking some dirt up but hit one of the larger tanks exploding instantly destroying the barn sending gar flying as he screamed
"Garfield!"marie cried out as aiming her hands wraith fired a condense energy blast hitting one of the drones taking them down as red star focused his attention on one drone for a brief moment before growling a little as he fired off a charged blast through his gloves nailing a drone as he smiled a little on that successful hit
But running over helping out garfield from the rubble was red-x bringing him over as he groaned as the women rushed over scared holing her son right now as it seems that things got more complicated for them
Gotham november 23rd
It was back in gotham as the others where arriving at the apparent contact as masking up for this was barbara sporting a simple bandana around her face with her hood up for her outfit as down the alleyway waiting for them was a sketchy looking man scratching his chin right now as whistling at him was sean
"Hey lenny you got the deets for us"Sean asked as the man looked over named lenny who flinched to see who was with him
"Kid your pops didn't say no heroes would be here…why the heck they here"lenny said about to bolt but vigilante stopped him
"Now hold on partner i'm a decent guy who hates criminals as much as anyone here. But right now i need some answers from you mainly on a certain mask wearing lucahdor who broke my leg and–"he was stopped as jinny punched the thug in the stomach hard making him gasp for air for a brief moment as she pinned him against a wall startling them all for a moment
"Buddy you got three seconds to tell us where we can find bane now or else things will get worst involving you with broken legs"jinny threatened scaring him enough to let his tongue slip
"Fine! You could find him at his favorite hangout maybe or maybe his litenaut bird is their even…he might know where he is"lenny said as she released him walking away it seems with a purpose as vigilante eyed his partner in crime wondering whats going through that head of hers.
With another chapter in the books it seems that the team have a new problem as jinny is on the hunt for bane while her partner worries for her. Though what will happen next chapter?
