In this chapter we focus on the team welcoming someone new to the group which might make someone a little jeolous. This follows the story of insecrutity with a few new additions to belongs to greg wiseman and Brandon Vietti.
Chapter 39: Spilling Who Your Family Is
December 5th 5:02 pm
Its been some time since the team have been together but what wraith wasn't expecting was to start this day off with meeting that red arrow jerk again who was apparently doing something as he was joining the team which creeped her out as robin, kid flash and aqaudlad where happy right now to have their friend on the team
"About time you joined us man i've been wishing you would join us sooner or later"kid flash said
"Yes it is nice to have you on the team friend"kaldur added
"Well the kids got a stubborn attitude which i like"Red-x replied close by as red arrow eyed him down not really trusting him on being on this team in the first place right now. As he was his primary suspect with two others right now as off to the side jinny scoffed
"Great we got that jerk from that one mission"jinny said
"Is he really that bad"leonid asked her confused
"He sort of came off rude always thinking something was up or just thinkings hes better than anyone"m'gann replied
"And you are not wrong because he gives me the creeps myself"deliah admitted but coming through the zeta tube was artemis who seemed rather annoyed but noticed red arrow here confused for a moment
"Whats this about?"artemis asked
"Red arrow is joining the team isn't that cool"wally answered as it annoyed the blonde archer hearing that right now
"Oh the team needed a real archer it seems"artemis said in a rude tone as red arrow eyed her for
"Okay people with the dynamic duo busy on a case in gotham bats gave us a heads up"oliver said as he did something displaying a picture of sportmaser on the screen startling her to see her father their as another showed up bloodhound and ravager on screen to deliah shock
"From our surveillance we've noticed that sportmaster is meeting with two well trained assassins which may seem small but right as they got on their planes. Bloodhound went off to gotham which is why robin and bats are checking that out while ravager went with sportmaster"oliver explained
"You need to see what their up to"oliver added
"Well it seems a bit much for a shadow op"superboy commented
"Then perhaps a smaller team maybe miss martian bioship"Red tornado said
"Well the side kicks ex sidekicks could do this job for us. Aqualad, kid flash and red arrow for this gig"oliver said making the three slightly excited
"Well we could use a night off"m'gann said with a smile before artemis spoke up
"With m'gann and robin out no one logged more hours in piloting bioship than me"artemis said to their surprise as green arrow was worried
"Artemis are you sure?"green asked
"Absolutely"artemis said gritting her teeth making deliah worried
"Maybe i could come i've fought that women twice now and uh let me tell shes uh….well…very skilled"deliah said with red-x eyeing her down with him stepping forward as well to some shock as they began to pile into the bioship zipping off into the mission
After flying for a while the three in the main cockpit was artemis, wraith and kid flash in some biker style outfit as they sat in silence wraith eyed artemis for a brief moment as she eyed her
"What?"she mouthed as she rubbed her neck
"Artemis just uh you okay you seem mad"wraith asked as she was a little anger about something
"Right how can i be the true archer on the team is here in the flesh"artemis said in a rude manor but wally spoke up for her
"Come on artemis don't cut yourself short i mean your a real aracher…i'm jazzed red arrows on our team we go way back. But you've earned a place on this team both of you have"kid flash said
"That a compliment or something speedy?"wraith jokingly asked him as he rubbed his neck
"I just mean she…i mean both of you got nothing to prove besides where hiding you know what from the rest of the team"wally mentioned as wraith looked down already guessing someone knows that as she sighed
"Come on can i not be reminded of that i mean…"She was stopped as she felt something buzzing digging around in a pouch it was a burner phone she bring on missions incase as eyeing her supciously was kid flash
"That a new cellphone"wally asked as she sighed
"Burner phone for when i wanna call babs and stuff mom and dad put a tracking app on my old phone. Ditched it after you know who gave her my number"deliah said as she was ready to press decline but wally spoke up
"Come on you really gonna ignore her like that?"kid flash asked as she wondered if he was crazy
"Are you nuts shes a murderer wally..i.."she was stopped as hes been doing some digging on this as of late mainly with robin
"Actually i did a bit of digging actually see i found out that apparently your mom left the you know what. And that she struck a deal with batman himself"kid flash said to artemis slight surprise raising an eyebrow seeming to hint at something she talked to her own mother about
"Point being what wally"Artemis asked he explained
"I mean if your mom wanted to be a supervillian she got back to it and i mean…come on she must be worried sick about you just accept one calls its been months almost now. If i had a bad parent like that i wouldn't blame them for protecting your own kid"Wally said sounding wise to the two female members here
As delilah pondered it she sighed pressing accept placing the phone under her mask
"hello"Deliah said
"Oh my god you…you….sweetie…sweetie green arrow told me…they ummm told me your going after ravager and sportsmaster i….i…."katherine paused on the other end as her daughter sighed for a brief moment rubbing her arm
"Mom ummm look i..ummm i'm on mission right now can we maybe talk another time"deliah begged but she was persistent
"No we need to talk right now because you are walking into a trap and i know for certain it is. Paula mentioned to me how artemis told you who she really is"katherine said to delilah shock eyeing wally focusing on the front view of the ship as she eyed artemis briefly
"Mom shut up i'm in here with KF he'll be acting crazy because that creep red arrow is here and he is not friendly in the slightest"wraith replied
"I am warning you to stay away from them their dangerous especially her. Please ju–"She was cut off as deliah hung up sitting down not realziing someone was listening in on that conversation. As in the back room with red arrow and kaldur roy had a little tablet on that played that entire conversation as kaldur was stunned
"You bugged one of our owns personal devices"kaldur questioned
"Had to be sure seems that her and artemis have dealing with the two where after"roy said as someone else spoke up
"Seems your hunch was right huh red"red-x said to kaldur surprise as he eyed down red arrow who spoke up
"We've actually been working a couple times i've already tested him hes clean"red arrow stated
"How can you be sure?"kaldur asked
"Who do you think gave me the tip on that asssination attempt months ago it was him. "Red arrow said to the atlantian shock he gave the two the intel for that mission and the discovery of the mole as kaldur cupped his chin
"So the mole could be them"kaldur said
"Maybe but i wouldn't trust them since you know whos dad is here now"red arrow said as it was a shock to kladur to hear such a thing about artemis right now but he was one to get all the evidence before making an accusation toward someone
"We need more evidence than this we cannot simply just jump to them being tradiotrs or spies"kaldur said as they flew ahead with red arrow and red-x sharing a look with one another it seems
Orleans parish december 5th 9:27pm
It was night time now in the swampy lands of orleans as right now as watching from a tree was red arrow looking for any sigh of trouble while red-x was with kaldur scouting the place as he was giving an order as he spotted sportmaster leaving by boats
"Hes leaving by boat follow him"he ordered as riding a bike was wally following them as kaldur followed under water toward the boat as in the air was artemis and wraith as they where flying suddenly stopping the ship right as sportmaster was docking his boat was artemis to the confused wraith
"Artemis what are you doing?"wraith questioned but she hoped down out of bioship to her shock as she followed after her. The two teens began to walk through the woods as she was confused
"Artemis what are you doing we have our orders"Wraith said but artemis eyed her for a moment before someone called out to them
"Oh this is so cute a familiar reunion seems i get to meet the little sister you spoke of so highly ravager"chesire voice said as the two looked to see the two assassin above as ravager smiled under her mask
"How yah been baby sister"Ravager asked making wraith growl charing a blast up firing it at her as she dodged it with cheisre leaping forward driving a sword toward artemis who fired an arrow narrowly hitting her but she blocked her sword strike with her bow in shock
"Why are you even helping sportsmaster! I get her but you?!"artemis asked as cheshire growled
"Not my choice or his you know that"Chesire replied as she growled firing some arrows at her to try and slow her down but cheshire dodged and weaved right through all of them splitting one in half even. While ravager was brutally beating down her sister as she punched wraith in the side before spine kicking her hard in the jaw making her head lurch back just a tad bit
Though as she tried to go for another hit something happened as wraith suddenly felt something go through her bodie. Looking down she saw that ravager leg went through her she unlocked a new power as she smiled at her with ravager swinging her sword at her a few times as wraith laughed
"Miss me miss me you can't hit me"wraith taunted but suddenly a arrow came forward hitting the ground sending the two back a bit as both fighters looked over seeing red arrow and red-x with weapons drawn
"Seems someone is having fun here"red-x said
"Why arrow if you wanted another little date could have asked"chesire asked startling artemis
"You two are dating?!"artemis shouted shocked right now
"What? No!"red arrow replied
"Ohhh spicy i like it you two a thing"red-x jokingly added
"Gross"wraith said before suddenly using the distraction ravaer grabbed her by her face before slamming the back of her head straight into the ground as wratih groaned with red-x leaping forward throwing two x-shaped throwing devices at her but ravager dodged them smiling right now as she kicked flipped him into a tree but as she got close he kicked her back as she sprinted off hitching a ride on the passing train with cheshire kicking back her sister before pouncing onto red arrow laughing as she brought a sigh up
"Well if you wanted another little date you could have asked"Chesire said kissing him on the cheek to his annoyance as suddenly speeding their way in kicking her off was kid flash as she hit the ground but not before taking her sai
"Nice souvenir"kid flash said as he tiwlred it with cheshire who began to run away as she did wally eyed her for a moment concerned
"Did you put a tracer on her"he asked as she nodded
"I did"artemis said as they regrouped quickly with annoyed looks as rubbing her head in slight pain was wraith
"Are you okay""kaldur asked
"Fine just…ughhh she bashed my head into the ground"wraith replied
"What were you two doing you should have radioed in something was wrong"Red arrow questioned
"Well maybe they could jack comms since both are the daughter of master criminals and assassin"artemis fired back as red-x didn't buy that
"Likly stroy but what about you huh wraithy? Have any secrets you wanna spill"Red-x said as she eyed him
"Whats that suppose to mean"Wraith asked in anger as breaking them up was wally
"Relax it'll be fine besides your the most secretive one here i don't trust you that much"kid flash said as kaldur closed his eyes for a new plan now
"The plan is now this we pursue them with the trackers placed them and discover their plan"aqualad ordered as they did but artemis shared a look with wraith for a moment who nodded as the two walked with them but keeping an eye on the two was red-x
After some time they soon found themselves pursuing the tracers placed by artemis but one was a fake as right now artemis was with wraith as the two of them where arriving at a warehouse right now as it seemes abandoned but wraith felt conflicted about this
"I don't think this is a good idea artemis the others should know"wraith said
"Well maybe because right now i rather not have them figure out who my family is. I'm petty sure the others wouldn't want to hear how your the possible daughter of deathstroke"Artemis replied as she was picking the lock right now openin the door quietly as wraith thought about trusting her on this
"Well actually i think we could get answer that bloodhound guy he said he was my brother and he gifted me this"wraith said pulling the card out but artemis went wide eyed upon hearing that name
"Blooudhound you mean that sociopath grant?"artemis asked confusing her for a moment
"What are you talking about"wraith asked as suddenly something came at them bullets as the two narrowly missed them as looking toward the source bloodhound stood their with ravager by his side along with cheshire who laughed a little
"Seems someone brought friends to a family picnic"chesire taunted as she threw the tracer artemis managed to plant on her early
With deliah flinching seeing the two as grant and rose came onto the ground as he sighed for a moment
"Well well isn't this nice a family reunion shame that little punk jericho isn;t here"blooudhound said which confused her
"What"wraith replied but watching above was red-x and red arrow knowing they couldn't trust these two at all right now
"Knew we couldn't trust them"red arrow said
"Hunch was right but uh seems we outnumber them"red-x replied but humming was someone behind them
"Actually those two are on the safe side especially her you two"A voice said startling them as behind them was jericho that shocked them for a moment seeing him here right now
"What are you doing here? Your that punk from when those kids disappeared"red-x recalled as jericho narrowed his gaze under his mask
"Right now your making a big mistake you two"jericho warned as they shared looks but down below eyeing above was ravager laughing pointing her pistol up at the window
"Seems we have more friends"she said firing a few shots cracking the window making red arrow and red-x fall to the ground as jericho landed on the ground narrowing his gaze to wraith shock he was from before as bloodhound laughed
"Lookie here someone coming for a good old fashion sibling get to getter"ravager said before charging in swinging a mace was sportmaster launching red-x straight into a wall hard as the theif groaned as immediately ravager went for deliah who got locked in a brief struggle with her as bloodhound opened fire onto jericho firing some shots but he was quciker spritnign over as he spin kicked him hard moving him back
The merc didn't give up drawing a sword dashing forward swinging and slicing at him as he tried to stab him in the heart. As he tried to jericho blocked the hit from him catching his sword with the palms of his hand before throwing them to the side as the two got locked into a fist fight. The two of them began to go back and forth with one another throwing punch after punch
As they did wraith struggled to try and fire off her powers as she tried to shoot at her attacker again immedialrt ravager dashed forward gut checking her hard as she coughed and hacked falling to her knees clutching her stomach in pain right now. While she did ravager laughed as she drew her sword with a smile on her face
"Father wants you alive be a good girl and keep a hold of that card daddys coming"ravager said scaring wraith who clutched her head in pain for a moment before crying in pain as she held her head for dear life feeling a splitting headache as artemis was shoved back by cheshire she looked scared which cheshire noticed staring at her before doing something
Suddenly the assassin drew a secret sidearm silenced before firing a few shots at ravager making her move back. As she looked over artemis held the rail of the gun to make it look like she tried to shoot her as ravager growled before suddenly a stream of water came at her launching her straight into a wall.
Once it did she looked up to see aqualad their as wraith stayed on the ground slowly crying as bloodhound got moved back by jericho glaring at him with kid flash speed blitzing cheshire launching her into a wall
"We found your tracer how are you two even here?"kid flash asked to artemis shock before red-x got up seeing wraith on the ground narrowing his gaze undoing a pair of cuffs right now to restrain her as he was about to kicking him to the ground again was sportmaster
As artemis rushed over to see what the villains here where doing as she did wraith held her head panting in pain as kaldur knelt by her side
"Are you well"kaldur asked
"No…my head…it hurts…it hurts"wraith said clutching her head in pain before laughing was bloodhound
"Oh well seems this was ruined see you around sister"bloodhound said before turning into glass suddenly as he shattered into nothing one he was ravager and cheshire had the same thing happen to them with some of them glaring at the two for what just happened
Mount justice december 6th
Right now they where going over the briefing right now with the other leaguers here
"Even though most of the injjusitce league is in jail strange reported that ravager escaped her prisoner transfer months ago. Although as for the appearance of bloodhound aka grant wilson the infamous son of slade wilson"batman said as sighing was kaldur
"We are sorry we failed the injustice league allies still scheme and we've learned nothing of their plans"kaldur said as they where disppaoitned
"I wonder why because you two decided to split off on your own"red arrow said as looking down was artemis
"Well we found out sportmaster was working for brian, klarion and ivo"artemis replied as she found that part out at least
"But the thing is ivo been in belle reve the whole time and the guards checkers hes real not a robot"red-x refuted making her look down as red arrow crossed his arms
"You know i'm sick of you two dumping everything on them your a thief why should we trust you?"Wally asked as red-x thought about the warning from before but said screw it he couldn't care less
"Least i aint the daughter of a famed killer"red-x said with the rest of the team their as confused was jinx right now
"What are you blabbering about?"jinx questioned before just coming in from zeta right now was katherine who wanted a brief on the missing as by her side was jericho which jinny noticed
"Whoa its him"jinny said
"Who? The guy in tights"conner asked as red-x just decided to say something
"Well for starters no one gonna trust someone like you wraith since your daddy is slade wilson and your siblings are ravager and bloodhound"red-x said to some of their shock right now hearing such a thing making deliah flinch right now as growling in rage was katherine who powers went off right now
"You little….i warned you!"katherine shouted walking over forcefully grabbing red-x by the throat choking hard on his neck as the haze surrounded her just like her daughter powers scaring them as eyeing her down was batman as she glared at him with her squeezing hard on the thief neck
"Gonna snap it like your other victims"red arrow questioned as it made her glare at him
"Victims? What…what are you talking about?"jinny asked in shock right now
"Tell me this is just a ploy to get you on the teams good graces because the most likely suspect here is you as a mole"conner supported his friends but red-x gagged a little with batman tearing katherine off who eyed him down as the thief hacked and coughed getting air in his lungs
As he did deliah held her head wincing in pain again slowly crying which m'gann noticed
"deliah"She asked as wraith held her head groaning in pain as jericho walked over placing a hand on his head as the haze slightly came off his hands staring at the thief before walking over punching him in the side of the head as he growled
"You nuts murderer"red-x said
"Shut up kid because i got a nerve with what you just did to my sister"jeircho said as they shared looks
"Sister?"jinx asked as katherine stared at batman who nodded to her
"We would have liked to keep this for when the time is right but yes she is the daughter of slade wilson aka deathstroke"batman said making them stunned as it freaked them out with jinx backing up in shock
"Your actually that psycho ravager sister?"jinx asked as deliah looked down upset but backing her up was artemis
"Lay off her shes just….troubled about is all"Artemis said
"Oh and how long have you known about that"red arrow questioned
"Shes known after my daughter found my…old suit…i'm nightshade"katherine said with an upset look right now as she eyed the thief for ruining things right now as the others felt shocked
"As in the assassin for the league of shadows who was a personal and close person to deathsroke"Greg asked in surprise right now as the team felt like they where betrayed right now
"So shes the mole"conner asked shocked as jericho scoffed
"She aint no mole buddy but one of you probably are"jericho said in a robotic sounding voice confusing them
"Whats with you? You sound weird"wally asked as he removed his mask revealing a fair skin man with blonde hair and blue eyes with a scar over his neck like his voice was cut out as he pointed to it
"This is why you brat because right now i was keeping close tabs on all of you since october and now it seems my hunch was right. The little thief here decided to do his own digging and cause discord in your little team"jericho said through the collar on his neck
"Well i just wanted to help the team out is all"Red-x said but figuring something out was jinny
"Or earn our trust so you could betray us"jinny called out as he eyed her under his mask with batman narrowing his gaze toward the thief for a moment as he knew of his true identity but this little action made him way immediately as he approached him making red-x draw a smoke pellet out before throwing it covering the ground as they coughed and hacked for a bit as they opened their eyes seeing him gone
"Hes gone…why didn't you grab him supey?"robin asked
"I…i couldn't see through it…i….where did he go"conner asked
"Well seems we just found the mole were the tracer we have on him"kid flash said
"He might have removed it but that still leaves why you two are hiding things?"Red arrow questioned them again as artemis shoved back thinking of a quick lie
"Well sorry i just felt insecure with you being here and wanted to prove myself happy?"artemis asked as the others eyed her
"Artemis your lying? Right…right?"wally asked as she looked away from him as they where in shock right now with wraith clutching her head still in pain shaking it panting in pain as m'gann got close to her to comfort her as sighing was oliver
"Look right now things are heated lets call it a day. Besides that as a team you need to learnt o be open to someone secrets along with that….i think bats and me can confirm we should have someone on leave for a bit from the team"oliver said as it startled them
"Wait your kicking her off"m'gann asked shocked as suddenly pulling out the card that deliah had was red arrow
"Maybe because shes still considered a mole after i pulled this off her a tracer and i can who it'll lead to"red arrow said
"I..i..i umm thought he was my–"She was stopped as conner growled
"You had a tracer on you?! You know that they could come to the cave and attack us you know that right?"conner asked ready to punch her but pulling him back was jinny right now eyeing her friend looking away as they walked away from her with deliah looking upsets feeling like she lost her friends trust now.
With that we close this chapter as deliah family history was revealed to the team as she didn't even know about it making her feel like shes lost her own friends trust. Though something might be happening with red-x bolting making him a prime suspect as the mole maybe. Thanks for reading!
