DM Lucy Goes Ice Cream Crazy Chapter 1
Lucy is a happy-go-lucky, goofy and easily excited woman and sometimes finds it hard to think before she acts, but she is also very loving and caring towards her family. Lucy never thought about being a mom until she meet Margo, Edith and Agnes for the first time at Paradise Mall. One day, Lucy heard the girls calling for her. She found her daughters in the treehouse outside in the back garden. Lucy struggled to squeeze her tall body through the doorway and at last she did and sat down with her adoptive daughters with the four of them in their bare feet having removed their shoes, sneakers, boots, and high-heel shoes off. Lucy played with the girls and told them all sorts of funny stories to make them laugh. Meanwhile Gru was taking out the trash when suddenly Jillian, his annoying neighbour appeared with a grin on her face.
"Hey there, Gru, how's it goin' today? Still down in the dump or probably grumping yourself to sleep?" she laughed crazily. Grumpy Gru wasn't in the mood for jokes. "Go away, Jillian!" he said. But she wouldn't go away. "So I had a chat with your wife Lucy the other day about the girls. They had an uncle but no auntie. Would you let me do you a favour if I went to join the family if the girls respect me as their auntie?" asked Jillian. This was the worse news ever for Gru. He couldn't believe it was happening to his family, the neighbour he hated worse of all than Fred McDade. "OH, NO!" he thundered loudly. Jillian laughed loudly, "Oh, you're such a kidder, I'd be gladly to be part of your family.
You and me are gonna be roommates together one day!" she said, "I have a daughter called Jessica who never has any friends at school so your girls should definitely cheer her up". But Gru wasn't listening and he didn't care. As he stormed away, Jillian couldn't help but call out for him. "I have my friends and they were all Jessica's aunties….". That was enough! Gru wheeled around and yanked out his weapon. He fired a laser at Jillian's pants, they turned to ash and fell apart, exposing Jillian's bare buttocks. ''Argh!'' she shrieked. "Oops!" fibbed Gru. "Butter fingers!". "AAAAAIIIGHHHH! MY PANTS! AAHHH!" screeched Jillian as she ran away. Gru watched her disappear and chuckled to himself quietly. As he turned back toward his house, he saw Lucy scowling crossly at him. ''Gru! I saw all of that! How could you?'' she said.
"What?! She was REALLY getting on my nerves!" said Gru, scowling back at his wife. "She just being so nice! But you were kinda rude!" said Lucy. The next day, a letter arrived in the mail. Margo went to go get it. It was addressed to Mrs Lucy Gru. ''Mom, you got a letter!'' Margo called out. Lucy came to take the letter. She sat down on the crocodile couch, opened the letter and read it. ''What does it say Mom?'' asked Margo. Lucy gasped with excitement. ''Jillian is bringing Jessica for a playdate!" she said, happily. Margo ran to tell her two little sisters the good news. "Hey, guys! Have you heard that Auntie Jillian is bringing Jessica to play with us ?" she said, sounding just as excited as her mom. "Wait, Miss Jillian is our auntie now?" asked Edith. "But Miss Jillian isn't related to us" said a confused Agnes. "Relatives aren't supposed to be related by birth and blood, this is how the way it is in life" said Margo simply.
None of the girls knew that Gru was overhearing them talk on the other side of the wall and closed door. Gru couldn't believe his ears! He pretended his hand was a gun to shot himself dead. "Booosh!". Gru threw himself on the floor to fake his death. The girls heard the thud from inside their room and hurried out to see what it was. "Dad?!" they cried in unison. Then Dru and Lucy came by. "Gru?!" asked Lucy. "Brother?! Why are you lying on the ground?!" asked Dru. Gru got up and finally admitted that he thought they would all agree not to have Jillian and Jessica around but that wasn't they had in mind when he voiced his mind to them. ''Come on, Mr. Grumpy! Jillian and Jessica are coming to our house whenever you like it or not!" said Lucy, firmly.
The day for Jillian and Jessica to come to tea came too soon for Gru. He seemed to be the only one in his own family who couldn't see the good side of Jillian. Lucy and the girls chattered excitedly as they waited. Gru muttered crossly to himself under his breath as Jillian and Jessica walked up the path to the front door. Jillian rang the doorbell and Lucy opened the door. "Ahhh, you're here!" she said, with a smile. A blonde haired girl wearing a short sleeved yellow and white striped shirt and dark blue pants trailed behind Jillian, she was older than Edith and Agnes, but younger than Margo. ''Everyone, meet my daughter, Jessica'' said Jillian. ''Hello, Jessica'' chorused Margo, Edith and Agnes all at once. ''Hi'' said Jessica shyly.
''Jessica just gets pretty nervous about meeting new people for the first time'' Jillian explained, ''But she'll be fine once she gets to know you all''. ''Don't worry'' said Lucy, reassuringly, ''My daughters are pretty good''. Gru just looked at his feet and scowled. He slowly followed the others through the hallway and out to Gru's back garden. Jessica soon made friends with Margo, Edith and Agnes and the four girls started playing together. First they played a game of tag, Margo made sure she didn't twist her ankle again like she did last time she'd played tag with her sisters at home and made sure there was nothing for any of them to trip over. Edith, Agnes and Jessica understood this after Margo told Jessica and reminded Edith and Agnes.
