The next few days were quiet in the base, as it seemed that all went silent after their adventure on the island. This gave our heroes a chance to relax and focus on their lives while Galactor waited and lied in wait. While the heroes waited, they began to relax and rest their laurels in an attempt to figure out their next move and where to go next.

After Keith had fully recovered from his wounds, he would spend time looking over the base and examining the various defensive systems of the base. Though there was a part of him that still felt like he, and in a sense they, could be doing more to discover what Zarkon and his group were doing. It was on day three did he just step into the game room and allowed himself a small yell of frustration, "When are they going to do something!"

"Whoa dude, relax," Lance said, standing up from he card game he was enjoying with Hunk. "Look I want to take on the big idoit as much as the next guy, but until Billy and Nambu get something. All we can do is relax."

Keith sighed, and nodded. His mind began to think about the last few days, before shrugging and finding a spot to sit with his two teammates, "You know...it's been a while since we sat like this and relaxed."

"See, that's the spirit,":Lance said, smiling back at his friend.

"G-cells, Robeast tech, and now Zedd's magic. You've been playing an interesting long game, Berg Katse. Care to tell me why we can't demonstrate our power now?" Zarkon asked, clutching his staff. "Those spandex wearing punks will find out what we are planning and when they do-"

"They will fail," Berge Katse said, watching the monitors before him. All across his vision, he could see various bits of data and intel run by.

"You have said that before and as I recall, it failed. We have all failed," Zarkon said, growling.

Berge Katse shook his head, "Not this time. Even when the teams find out our plans, it will be all too late. And even then, they will face our forces, they will be overwhelmed."

Day three

Pidge smiled to herself as she walked through the base. The previous days of rest gave her a chance to get used to her new change and to enjoy her newfound freedom. She could feel a bit of happiness flow through her as she skipped through the long metallic hallways, only stopping when she heard the sounds of gaming coming from one of the rooms. Curious, she stepped in to watch as Jinpei started to play his game with one hand, while typing on the computer.

Smirking, and feeling playful, she tried to sneak up on the young swallow, ready to shock the young ninja, "You know, sneaking p on a ninja is impossible, right?"

"Well, I could at least try!" Pidge said, crossing her arms over her chest. Looking over her shoulder at the computer, she commented, "Oh, by the way, you made a mistake on line three."

"Ah, the computer geek of your team!" Jinpei said, spinning around in his chair to quickly correct the mistake and then spun back to go back to playing on his game. "I was trying to guess why they brought you on board."

"Beauty, brains, the young gal who needed to be there," Pidge teased, before putting her hands above her head and cocking her head to the side, "So, why does a secret organization of ninjas even have a twelve-year old on your team?"

"Big sister was a part of the team. When Nambu picked her to come with him after some jerk destroyed my village, she took me with her. I watched her train and I took to it like a duck to water," Jinpei said, throwing his controller up into the air and catching it.

"Any regrets?" asked Pidge.

"I get to use my smarts on the latest tech, take out thugs, and live in a secret base. Kids would kill for this kind of life," Jinpei said, before looking back at her, "You?"

Pidge sighed, and looked down, "I...Well...there was a time I probably would've said yeah. When me and my bro signed up for the role of space explorers, I wanted to just be a scientist. Just looking at new worlds and different life forms. Not being a pilot of a lion team and defeating galactic empires. But now,"

Jinpei arched an eyebrow, "Now?"

"Now, I feel...free. Like," Pidge put er hands behind her and lightly kicked the ground, "Like I'm free to be the real me. When I called myself a she, it was like, a weight was being lifted off of me and I could be the real me. I'm free, to be me. A tech girl, a pilot, or anything. And I think, these past few years on Arus helped that."

"I bet your brother is going to be shocked though," Jinpei said, smirking, "Think he'll be ok?"

"If not?" Pidge said, smiling, "I still have my other family by my side."

Zarkon walked through the halls of the base, watching the various scientists holding down the soldier and 'volenteers' to their tables. Various sparks of electricity and spells were casted as they began to become modified. Stepping further on down, he watched as more bits of science and magic began to fuse to construct various monsters. Once nearing the end of the hall, he saw a large generator, "Interesting, isn't it?" Lord Zedd said, teleporting in.

"Wich, how quickly Galactor had managed to modify robeast to their own monsters, your magic to make their men more durable, or how they have been able to finalize this plan," Zarkon said, looking up at the generator, "I still do not know what this does or wha they plan on doing with it."

Zedd laughed at this, and then looked back up, "All of it actually. It feels like they have been planning this for some time. If I dind't know better, I believe they had been watching us this whole time, waiting for the right time."

"And what do you plan on doing, when this plan is completed. Are you going to fight for control of this world?" Zarkon asked.

"Why should I? This world already belongs to Zedd," Lord Zedd said, tapping his metallic fingers along the staff, "I am just here to lend it out to whoever wins this next little battle of theirs."

Day 5

Lotor looked at the passing by fish as he sat in th waiting room of the Cresent Coral. Next to him, Allura had rested her head and was breathing peacefully. For the past few days, they were still no closer to finding out the final plans of Gallactor or their location; however, that didn't seem important.

Looking down, he saw his princess just resting with him and for a time he was able to forget all of that. The world, for the moment, had faded and she was the only thing that was necessary in his life. Smiling warmly, he ran his hand through her long blonde hair, "And to think, all of this time, all I had to do...was to show how much I respect her. Why did I bother with any other woman."

"What are you thinking about," Allura asked.

"How much you are my world, and my future," Lotor said, smiling down at her, "And you?"

"The future," Allura said, sighing, "and what is going to happen when we get back. Will it be the same? Did we change something in the timeline and when we get there, it will be a different place? And if it is the same, how will the Galaxy Allience act when they see that-"

Her thoughts were interrupted with a kiss, "You've already proven that you are willing to stand against authority, are willing to do things on your own, and are willing to take charge when need to. I bet you are willing to take whatever the world throws at you."

"Thanks," Allura said, smiling at him. Then she took his hand in hers, "When we get home..."

"Yes?" Lotor said, looking back at her curiously.

"...Marry me..."

To answer this request, he sealed it, with a kiss.

Berge Katze stood in front of a screen, overlooking the last bits of data that flowed past his eyes. A low chuckle escaped his throat as he began to speak, "Everything is in place. My plans are being set up, and the world will soon be won by Gallactor."

"Then why are we not doing it now? Why are we waiting for them to find out!?" Zarkon asked, growling.

"You are a king, and haven't had te thrill of victory in so long," Berge KAtze said, looking over his shoulder, "But an event like this needs to be relished, and enjoyed at the highest level. I want those multicolored fools to arrive, be bested by our combined might, and watch in horror as we win the day. I cannot deal with a world where my victory is won and my hated enemies are not there to watch me, to hear my gloating!"

Zarkon frowned, and then laughed, "I think I understand. After so many years, it would be good to watch the Voltron Force cry and wail at the loss of everything."

Day 8

Trini walked into the computer room, where she saw Billy sitting in front of the glowing screen. She shook here head a little as she saw him scrolling and mindlessly typing away at the keys, almost robotically. Stepping closer, she said, "The others have gone to bed, you know. You should too."

"If I only could," Billy said, rubbing his finger and thumb along the bridge of his nose, "But I have to figure out what they are planning, and how we can stop them. I just can't figure any of this out and it's quiet perplexing."

Trini sat with him, and looked at the screen, "Well, if you ask me, I think you are working too hard over this."

"But Trini-" Billy began, only to feel her and on his.

"Look," Trini said, looking into his sapphire eyes, "I would love for us to be able to be there when they launch their big plan. To stop it before it happens, but that's not always possible. Not for us anyway. But I do know what we do best, and that is when they do unleash whatever plan, attack, or whatever of the day on us, is that we go in and stop it. Together, as one."

Billy smiled at this as he held her hand, looking at her lovely face. HE smiled warmly at her, "Trini, thank you. You, have been my support. My inspiration, my partner. When the others couldn't understand me, you helped to translate me."

"You've been mine too," Trini said, "I still remember how you tried to help me with my fears, tried to help me overcome my weaknesses. You've just been a..." the words tripped over her mouth as she wanted to say something personal.

Bill nodded, "I know. It's why I lov-" he stopped, only to be me with a kiss on the lips from Trini.

"I was wondering when you were going to say it," Trini said with a smile, as Billy happily returned the kiss.

"About time!" Jason said, crossing his arms and leaning against the doorframe, making the new couple blush.

Don't mind this, it's just a shortchapter to get things moving again.
