Chapter 2:
Coruscant, June 13th, 2132/32BBY
The Sun rises high over Coruscant as the Terran Ambassador stands next to Senator Palpatine, who is keeping his eye out for the Ship that contains Queen Amidala, the Ruler of the Naboo. Ambassador Moses Malutin stands there with him, though the Senator notices the sword at his side. "That is an interesting sword you are carrying." The Sword is beautifully decorated, in the form of a Saber, a cavalry Saber with a slight bend in the handle to give it something of a pistol grip.
"This sword is an old friend of mine." The Terran Ambassador says. "It's Terran Custom to carry a weapon with you at all times, as you never know when you might need it." He then gives Palpatine a look, "Especially if your opponent uses the Force." Palpatine keeps a neutral face but internally, he scowls, this Terran seems to suspect something about him. However, that is when a ship descends to the landing platform, a signature Naboo Ship with the signature royalty chrome finish. Exiting the ship are not only Queen Amidala, but also what appears to be several of her handmaidens, a few guards, and even a Gungan, the Jedi, and a boy. This boy, Palpatine feels, is strong in the Force, supernaturally so. However, as Chancellor Valorum walks over, Palpatine notices somebody walking over with him, a man with sapphire blue skin and matching eyes. "Senator Palpatine, allow me to introduce to you Captain Vurawn of Task Force Chimaera. He is a rising star in our military!"
"An Honor, Captain."
"The honor is all mine…" Vurawn says, smiling.
"Forgive me, but are you a Chiss?"
"Half-Chiss, Senator, my father was a Terran. I was lucky enough to be born mostly Chiss while inheriting my father's eyes." Captain Vurawn says as the group from the Naboo starship approaches, and Vurawn notices the boy.
"It is a great gift to see you alive, your majesty." Palpatine says to the Queen of the Naboo. "With the communications breakdown, we've been very concerned. I'm anxious to hear your report on the situation." He then smirks, "Might I introduce Supreme Chancellor Valorum."
"Welcome your highness." The Supreme Chancellor says. "It's an honor to finally meet you in person."
"Thank you, Chancellor." The Queen says, then looking at Ambassador Malutin and Captain Vurawn, "Who might these two be?"
"I am Ambassador Moses Malutin of the Terran Dominion. This is Captain Kivu'raw'nuru, otherwise known as Captain Vurawn, leader of Task Force Chimaera, and Commanding Officer of the Strike Carrier, Judgment of the Void."
"It is a pleasure to meet you. I had heard from Senstor Palpatine how you made a Declaration of Military Support against anyone who has attempted such rash actions like a Blockade. Is that true?"
"Indeed it is, your highness. We Terrans don't make such promises lightly. Not only that, the Dominion Security Intelligence have been funneling reports through the Warp to Dominion Space."
"How ever did you manage to achieve that?" Palpatine asks, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"That is classified information." Captain Vurawn says.
"Even so, whatever evidence you have gathered will be of great help, Ambassador." Queen Amidala says.
"Even if ghe Senate doesn't choose to help the Naboo, the Dominion shall send one of it's closest Task Forces to aid the Naboo. However, we can discuss that another time." Ambassador Medina says, smiling at her brightly.
"Putting that aside, I must relay to you how everyone is distressed about the situation. I have arranged for a special session to hear your position." Chancellor Valorum says.
"I am grateful for your concern, Chancellor." Queen Amidala says.
"Aside from that, there is a question of procedure, but I do believe we can overcome it." Senator Palpatine says.
"If it would please you, your majesty, perhaps we can grab a spot of lunch before we discuss any further. I would be honored to introduce you to some Terran Cuisine. A belly full of comfort food may be just the ticket you need to clear your mind when you begin your preparations." Ambassador Malutin says.
"Your highness, if I may." Padmé says, "I believe this might be a good idea."
"Your highness… Perhaps we could…" Palpatine begins.
"I do believe you are right, Padmé. Besides, I would very much like to learn more about the Terrans whilst I am here, and perhaps understand how it is the Dominion can help us." Queen Amidala says, to which Palpatine hides a slight snarl as Ambassador Malutin smiles as he leads them onto the ship, with Anakin joining them. They soon begin making their way across the city as Ambassador Malutin brings the entourage to his rather large apartment, and, as it turns out, there are two guards dressed in Terran Armor standing outside the door.
They look at the Ambassador, whose calm expression turns into a serious one as a wave of discomfort and irritation hits everyone, and the Guards stand straight and nod before one of them opens the door. "Welcome back, Ambassador." The guard says, to which Ambassador Malutin's goofy expression returns and he gestures for everyone inside.
"What was that you did just now?" Anakin asks.
"That, my boy, was the signature power of the Terrans. It is known as the Void." Captain Vurawn says to Anakin.
"The Void?" Anakin asks.
"Have you heard of the Force?"
"Not much…" Anakin says.
"The Force is an Energy Field that surrounds and penetrates all living beings, connecting one another. However, within all living beings, there are microscopic symbiotic beings called Midichlorians." Vurawn says. "Midichlorians are, in essence, living conduits for the Force's energy, and grant living beings access to the Force. When the Force interacts with the Midichlorians, Jedi and Sith are capable of accomplishing extraordinary feats. However, Force Sensivity is often determined by the number of these conduits present within your body."
"So… The more Midichlorians you have the more Force Power you can use?" Anakin asks.
"Exactly!" Vurawn says, "However, it is possible to use too much Force Energy, and in doing so, your Midichlorians become overtaxed to the point they die, and thus the one who burned them out with them." He smiles, "However, Terrans have discovered there is more to the Midichlorians than the Jedi or Sith know. Midichlorians actually also have different polarities, Positive and Negative…"
"Those who possess Midichlorians with a Positive Polarity can utilize the Force. Those who possess a Negative Polarity in their Midichlorians gain access to the Void." Vurawn says, smiling as Anakin absorbs the information. "If the Force exists outside the body and penetrates the body through the Midichlorians, the Void exists within the body, centralizing and exuding from us. Think of the Force as an Unstoppable Force or an Ultimate Offense that cannot be stopped and can pierce through any obstacle in it's way, while the Void is an Immovable Object and Absolute Defense that nothing can move or pierce."
"That's amazing!" Anakin says. "But wait, if the Midichlorians determine how strong you are in the Force, is the same true for the Void?"
"You're catching on! Yes, the Void grows stronger depending on how many Midichlorians you have. You see, unlike the rest of the Galaxy, all Terrans are Void Sensitive, but, depending on how many Midichlorians we have, we can have differing levels of Void Usage. Think of it this way: Most people have anywhere between 2,000 to 4,900 Midichlorians. To even have the mildest Force or Void Sensitivity you need at least 5,000. Terrans and those who share blood with them all have a Midichlorian Count of at least 5,000 or higher. This allows Terrans to produce a Void Aura just above their skin, but when combined with Teras Kasi, that is often more than enough to deal with any opponent." Vurawn explains, "Anyone with a Midichlorian Count of at least 7,500 or Higher is often tapped, or selected, to become members of the Voidwalkers, Terran Soldiers who utilize the Void in battle."
"When do they learn to become Voidwalkers?" Anakin asks.
"The Dominion law states that every man, woman, and child must train in the Art of Teras Kasi, and as such, everyone gets basic training in the use of the Void. Those who show great promise to match their Midichlorian Count are offered the chance of further training, though Children often have to wait until they turn 15. ndergoes the training, they shall become a Voidwalker for life." Vurawn explains, which Anakin looks down as everyone sits down as tantalizing food was brought out by a number of waiters as they all sit down.
"Bon Appetit!" The chef says, smiling as the food is served, and everyone finds themselves sitting at what appears to be a basic meal, almost akin to military rations, but Anakin looks at it.
"What is this?" Anakin asks.
"It is a dish called Chicken Adobo, young Skywalker! It is a simple but impactful marinade that is used to boil meat inside to create a flavorful soup, and can be served with any starch. I also took the liberty to add in vegetables, hard boiled eggs, pot stickers, and even added a side-dish of Eggrolls of the Ambassador's family recipe!" The Chef says, proudly, smiling as the Ambassador folds his hands together and begins speaking in a language none of them understand before saying "amen" and smiles.
"Let's dig in!" The Ambassador says, smiling. Anakin, a bit skeptical, uses a spoon to scoop up some of the rice with some of the broth and he scruches up his face.
"So salty!"
"Indeed it is, gets that nice, pleasant tingling in your ears!" Ambassador Malutin says, in which the then bites into the Pot Stickers with a smile. Despite the initial taste being a bit overpowering, they quickly come to enjoy the meal, and while it may seem a bit basic, it is actually quite flavorful, and actually helps everyone enjoy themselves. It seems even Palpatine is actually enjoying the taste of it.
"Tell me, Ambassador, what constitutes this "adobo" broth?"
"It's actually a fairly simple recipe to make the broth itself. It is just two cups of water, a cup of a special sauce from Earth called Shoyu, and white vinegar. You then add in minced garlic and finely chopped onions, black pepper, and bayleaf. You then add and boil your choice of meat into the broth with it's fat still on it, to add in the flavors of the meat to the broth, and leave it to boil. As it does so, you can add an assortment of vegetables and proteins into it. My family tends to use Potstickers cuz they taste best when boiled." Ambassador Malutin says, smiling, "I hope you find it enjoyable!"
"Indeed I do, I can actually feel as if there is strength coursing through my veins." He then takes a bit of the chicken, and smiles. "Delicious!" Ambassador Malutin smirks on the sly before looking at Captain Vurawn, who smirks as he brings out a pad as they eat and begins working on what can only be described as a battle plan.
"Your Highness, can you describe to me how many Trade Federation Ships are located above Naboo?" Captain Vurawn asks.
"I do not know, but Captain Panaka had told me there were at least a dozen Lucrerhulks, possibly more." Queen Amidala says, looking at the Captain.
"At least a Dozen… This might even be a challenge…" Vurawn says, smirking.
Later, in the Senator's apartment, just as Palpatine is preparing the Queen for the options they have, going forward, Captain Vurawn steps forward. "Captain, what has brought you here?"
"I wish to speak strategy over the coming battle, in private if you will." Captain Vurawn says.
"Of course."
"If that is all then I will take my leave." Senator Palpatine says, looking at the Terran officer before leaving.
"You may speak, Captain." Queen Amidala says.
"Your highness, if I may be frank, I have run dozens of simulations on the battle, and I have realized that no matter how many we manage to bring to the fight, we'll be sorely outmatched without help. The Terran Dominion won't be able to Mobilize other task forces in time to help us, and I doubt that the Delegations will help at all. However, I believe that there is another group of people we can call upon."
"Who?" Queen Amidala asks.
"Us-sah!" Jar Jar Binks says, walking over to her. "Your highness. We-sah Gungans have a Grand Army that, if you-sah make peace with our-sah people, we-sah be more than ready to help."
"An Army? Why haven't I heard of this?" Queen Amidala asks.
"When you-sah came to the planet genrations-sah ago, our-sah people fought each other. We-sah never forgot how we-sah lost our homes-sah." Jar Jar says. "But-tah, if you-sah show that you-sah wish to apologize for what-tah happened back-ah then, Boss Nass may be willing to listen."
"Thank you for telling me, Jar Jar. I will consider your words carefully!" Queen Amidala says, hope sparking in her eyes. "Captain, how many ships are in Strike Force Chimaera?"
"Aside from my Strike Carrier, we have two Indra-Class Destroyers and two Apollo-Class Frigates, all of them armed to the teeth. We also have around 1,000 troops, made up of 200 Spartoi Voidwalkers, and 800 Marines. We also have 60 Eagle Fighters, 40 Hawk Interceptors, 20 Condor Bombers, 10 Vulture Gunships, and 20 Owl Dropships."
"Tell me about these "Spartoi"."
"I'm afraid I cannot do that, nor can I reveal more about the strategy until we make our way back to Naboo, we don't know who might be listening in for the Trade Federation." Captain Vurawn says.
"Understandable, Captain." Queen Amidala says.
The Senate Building
"The Chair recognizes the Senator from the Sovereign System of Naboo!" Chancellor Finis Valorum calls out. That is when the Naboo Pod descends down from it's Position on the chamber.
"Supreme Chancellor, Delegates of the Senate… A Tragedy has occurred, which started right here with the Taxation of Trade Routes through the Free Trade Zones, and has now engulfed our entire planet in the Oppression of the Trade Federation." Senator Palpatine says.
"This is outrageous! I object to the Sneator's statements!" A Nemoidian Senator says.
"The Chair does not recognize the Senator from the Trade Federation at this time!" Senator Valorum snaps.
"To state our allegations, I present Queen Amidala, recently elected Ruler of the Naboo, who speaks on our behalf." Senator Palpatine says as he gives the stand to Queen Amidala.
"Honorable Representatives of the Republic, I come to you under the gravest circumstances." Queen Amidala says, "Naboo's system had been invaded by the Droid Armies of the Trade-"
"I object, there is no proof!" The Trade Federation Senator calls out. "This is incredible! We re-"
"SILENCE!" A shout rings out over the Senate Delegate as a pod flows down, and everyone feels a shot of pain flowing through them as the Terran Ambassador, Moses Malutin, descends. "I apologize! I meant "Objection"! The Terran Dominion has proof of the Trade Federation's lies!"
"The Chair recognizes the Ambassador from the Terran Dominion and accepts the apology. Present your proof." Chancellor Valorum says.
"Over the course of Naboo's Invasion, the DSI has received disturbing reports of the Naboo suffering and dying from starvation due to the Blockade and over a dozen illegally modified Lucrehulk-Class Ships built for war blockading the Naboo!" The Terran Dominion Ambassador says, presenting the proof. "Regardless of whether this committee decides to do so, this was a clear attempt to call our bluff when we had warned against such actions. Now while the Dominion cannot send a massive force to aid the Naboo, the Terran Dominion shall not back down from such a flagrant antagonistic assault."
"I object!" The Senator from the Congress of Malastare says. "This is a clear violation of any sort of Sovereignty for any nation of the Republic, the Terran Dominion must be punished, and we recommend a commission be sent to Naboo to Ascertain the Truth!"
"The Trade Federation concurs with the Honorable Delegates from the Congress of Malastare. A Commission must be appointed!" The Trade Federation says.
"The point-"
"Excuse me, Chancellor…" Mas Ameda says, speaking to the Chancellor.
"The Point is conceded…" The Chancellor says, defeatedly, "Will you confer your motion to allow a commission to explore the validity of your accusations!"
"I will not defer!" Queen Amidala snaps, letting her rage pout into her voice. "I've xkm before you today to resolve this attack on our Sovereignty now! I was not elected to watch my people suffer and die while you discuss invasion in a committee!" She glares directly at Valorum, "If this Body is incapable of action, I suggest new Leadership is needed." her voice then turns cold, "I call for a Vote of No Confidence in Chancellor Valorum's Leadership." With these words, the entire Senate erupts into chants of "vote now" as Mas Ameda, in-vain, tries to call for order.
However, later that night, Queen Amidala makes her way back to her ship as Captain Vurawn walks over to her. "Your majesty, I must rendezvous with the Strike Force, I will contact you with the strategy once I am aboard the Judgement of the Void."
"Thank you, Captain, I hope to see you soon." The Queen says as they make their two ships take off.
A Few Days Later…
Over the course of a few days, the Naboo attempt to contact the Gungans, unfortunately, when Jar-Jar goes to find them, the city of the Gungans is deserted, with evidence of a massive battle having taken place. Thankfully Jar-Jar reveals when the Gungans are in trouble, they retreat to a sacred place to regroup. When they arrive, Padmé reveals herself to be Queen Amidala, and the one everyone had thought was the Queen was actually a decoy and loyal bodyguard. Once she had apologized to the Gungans for the sins of her ancestors and got on her knees to beg the Gungans for help, they actually accepted her apology, and, as Jar-Jar had predicted, the Gungans joined the Naboo in liberating the planet.
A few hours later, a ship would descend from the sky near the strategy table of the Gungans, and descending from it would be armored terrans bearing the Insignia of the DSI, an Ichneumon Mongoose head biting down on the skeleton of a baby dragon. The DSI Agents approach and bow. "Your majesty, we bear news from Captain Vurawn!" He then brings out a projector and it sends out a light towards the sky.
"Greetings, Queen Padmé Amidala." Captain Vurawn asks, which Padme looks shocked.
"You knew?"
"I am Half-Chiss, your Majesty, rarely anything escapes my sight and intellect. I only kept up the ruse in order to keep your safe." Captain Vurawn says, "In any case, I have finally finished the Strategy that will bring us the most possible victory. Captain Panaka, can you appraise us all of the situation?" he then notices Boss Nass walking over. "Oh you must be Boss Nass, it is an honor to meet you, I am Captain Vurawn, the Terran Dominion is sending me and my Task Force to provide assistance."
"We-sah honored to meet-ah you-sah!" Boss Nass says.
"Alright, so almost everyone from civilians to what few armed forces we have are in camps. A few hundred police and guards have formed an underground resistance, and I brought back as many of the leaders as they could spare without things falling apart. Unfortunately, the Federation's army is much larger than we thought, and much stronger." Captain Panaka says. "If I may be frank, I don't think this is a battle that I don't think we can win."
"Relax, Captain, the major battle is going to be a diversion." Padmé says, in which the Vurawn smirks at that and his men upload Vurawn's information to R2-D2, who projects it. "That is what you were about to say, weren't you, Captain Vurawn."
"Very clever…" Vurawn says, his face neutral, but his voice transmitting his glee and impressed train of thought. "With the gungans having the much larger army…" R2-D2 projects the battlefield, "The Gungans will be drawing the Federation's Droid army out into an open battlefield, draining Thede of most of it's occupying forces. With what I have learned, the Gungans excel at Defensive Warfare, making them the perfect target. While the Gungan Army is drawing the Attention of the Droid Armies, the Strike Force Chimaera will be drawing the attention of the Blockade. Our ships are all on the larger end of the Galactic Standard for Warships, meaning that they can not only take a lot of punishment and deal it back at greater range, but we also have a ton of fighters situated inside them. With the Lucrehulk-Class Battleships distracted, the Judgement of the Void will use the Warp to transport itself to above the battlefield, where we will situate our Drop Pods to land behind the Droid Forces so that the Spartoi Elites catch the droid army by surprise and reinforce the Gungans. We will then release all of our drop ships to send the Terran Marines to the ground and begin fighting where we Terrans excel at, offensively on the ground." R2 shows the changing battlefield scenarios, and the Boss nods carefully. They the switch to Thede itself.
"While this is going on, we will approach the city through the secret passages along the Waterfall Side, where Captain Panaka will create a secondary diversion, while two teams enter into the palace and we perform a pincer maneuver to capture the Viceroy. Without the Viceroy, they will be lost and confused."
"With this distraction, many gungans might be killed before the Terrans get into position."
"Do not worry! We-sah ready to do our-sahn part."
"Do not worry, Master Jedi, the plan includes a way to shut down the Droid command ship, the first objective is to clear the Hangar so that the Pilots for Naboo can draw the droid fighters. Once they are away, the Terran Pilots will also deal a surprise attack to reinforce them. Once the command ship is taken down, the droids will be shut down." Captain Vurawn says. "Unlike the rest of the Galaxy, we Terrans primarily use Magnetically Accelerated Kinetic rounds in space, which Shielding Technology does not defend well against, due to mainly focusing on deflecting blaster and turbolaser blasts." Captain Vurawn says. "This means we can shoot our MAW Canons from a much greater range than turbo lasers can."
"Alright then! When do we strike?" Captain Panaka asks.
"Tomorrow, before dawn, when the fog is heaviest!" Queen Amidala says, "That way the Gungans can mask their movements so they can get into position sooner than the droid army."
"Alright then. Master Jedi, I know Terra and the Jedi Order have their differences, but…" That is when there is the stomping of boots as six Spartoi descend from the ship. "I am sending a Squadron of Spartoi to join you, led by Lieutenant Alexander Titus, and his team of Spartoi soldiers."
"We appreciate your willingness to join us, despite the bad blood between us." Qui-Gon Jinn says.
"We are honored to uphold our oath in the defense of the innocent. While the Jedi Order has made enemies of us as a whole, we hold individuals to a different standard, Master Qui-Gon. Your highness, allow me to introduce to you my compatriots, Leandros Quintus, Sergeant Gadriel, Brother Chairon, Brother Varellus, and Brother Sidonis."
"Your highness!" The men say.
"Men I believe there may come a point in the operation that our Squadron may need to split up. Sergeant Gadriel, whom will you take with you?"
"Sir, I would suggest brothers Chairon and Varellus! Brothers Leandros and Sidonis should go with you."
"Understood."
"Brothers, once we are done, how about we hit the Cantina and have some fun? I've brought my gaming console from Terra and some Warhammer Games!"
"You really are a fan of that franchise!" Lieutenant Titus says, smirking. "Alright then, which do you have with you?"
"The ones I could bring with me on short notice were Space Marine 1 and 2, Rogue Trader, Boltgun, Darktide, and Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters." Leandros says.
"The Codex Astartes does not support this action…" Sergeant Gadriel says, imitating Leandros's voice, the Spartoi laughing the reference. The rest of the Leaders are just lost at this bit of banter that has gone off track, in which Lieutenant Titus claps his hands to get their attention.
"Alright enough, we have our victory celebration set, so let's get back to the main topic at hand." The rest if the day, everyone hashes out the details, and soon, night falls, with the Terrans preparing their gear. The next morning, before they set out, Leandros puts on his armor and leads his brothers in prayer before they go to battle. The Gungans make their way to the battlefield through the mists, and as they set up their battlelines, the Terrans wait just inside the Warp, awaiting for the signal for the Battle to start.
"Steady men!" Captain Vurawn says, "Prepare the Ascalon!"
"Sir!" The Terran soldiers say as the turret moves into place in the Warp, the Warp Drives engaging to open a hole to allow the Cannon to fire. In Theed, the forces of Queen Padmé Amidala move into place as Alexander Titus activated communications devices in his helmet.
"Viper: Thunder." Titus says, and Verawn smirks.
"FULL POWER!" The Captain shouts, and the Terrans all roar as they give the signal to activate the Warpdrive.
"Sir!" One of the Trade Federation Cyborgs calls out. "We have ships incoming! They're firing!"
"Impossible!" The Commander of the Control ship says. And then suddenly one of the Nearest Lucrehulks explodes. "Wha-!?"
"Sir! We have confirmation! It's the Terran Dominion!" The Cyborg calls out.
"Move us closer to the planet, have the other Lucrehulks focus on these intruders!" The Commander says, "Scramble all fighters, but keep our personal reserves here!"
"This is Captain Vurawn! They've taken the bait." Vurawn says over communicator, "You're clear to engage!" That is when a blast fires out and hits one of the Droid Tanks and a firefight begins. Blaster bolts fly as Terran training aims the Bolters, firing as their weapons scream like the souls of the enraged dead, releasing their Magnetic flechettes and pierce through them. Much like the Ascalon Cannons of the Dominion Ships, Terran Flechettes are made of a Nyix-Dominium Alloy.
Now, one tangent, you might ask, "Why is the Dominion mixing the rarest Material in the Unknown Regions with what is, apparently it's Most common". And there is a simple answer to that: Nyix and Dominium are both Iron-Based Materials, the only reason why Nyix is so rare is because of one major reason, one that was discovered recently: It only forms on Planets that, at one point or another, are or had once been Voids in the Force! When a Planet is, or becomes, a Void in the Force, no life, color, or sound exists on that world, even if it's environment is habitable. Such Worlds will start allowing the Void to penetrate into it's soil and minerals, causing whatever is in the ground to become infused with the Void itself. If the Void is only Temporary, eventually the Void itself will recede, and thus Life, color, and sound will return to the world, but the Void Infused materials remain, forever changed by the lack of the Force. Dominium and Nyix are two of such materials that are Voidforged, and, ironically enough, just like how the Chiss Ascendancy has three Mines that Produce Nyix, there are 3 Planets in Dominion Space that Produce Nyix.
The First is the most well known, and that is Vulcan, where a war caused by Nikardun and the Grysk had caused the Planet to turn into a Voidworld for who knows how long, making it impossible for the Grysk and Nikardun to mine the material. The Second of these Planets is the World of Hoxim, which, during the Nikardun-Grysk war, the Terrans found that they had intended to set up a fake mine to start a Civil War within the Chiss Ascendancy over control of the mines. However, the Terrans had discovered the plans and had the DSI contact them about it being a trap, and how the planet itself was worthless to the Chiss. As thanks, the Terrans gained the planet Hoxim, which turned out to be habitable for Terrans, and, best of all, there actually was Nyix in Hoxim.
So, slowly after discovering this, the Dominion would give the three families that attempted to fight over Hoxim 33% of the Nyix produced in the mines, split evenly among them. The Third, and ironically, Closest Planet that contained this material was Mars, within Earth's own system, and it wasn't just Dominium and Nyix that were found in the mines of Mars, but that is for another time. Ironically enough the Dwarf Planets, and three major belts of the Sol System (Asteroid, Kuiper, and Oort Cloud) all contained an unusually high amount of Nyix, Dominium, and other materials as well. In any case, Nyix-Dominium Flechettes emit a specific ping when brought under metal detectors, and the Dominion always makes sure to locate as many of their flechettes and sabots after battles to not waist ammo, or let the enemy get their hands on it.
In any case, as Padmé makes her way to the door, the Terrans keep firing their bolters, at Droids rarely get into melee range anyway. Soon, he group gets kntlhelping clear out the Droids near the fighters, clearing them out so that the pilots had easy access to their N-1s, "GET TO YOUR SHIPS!" Queen Padme shouts, helping to provide cover. As the N-1s launch, a few of them are unfortunately shot out of the sky, but the rest rise into the air as fast as possible. Meanwhile, in space, the Terran Fighters fly out as fast as they can as they many Vulture Droid Starfighters rush out to them.
"Tch, these things claim to be vultures! That's an insult to our very own Gunships!" One of the Terran Fighters says.
"Well then, let's bring vengeance upon them for that insult, brothers!"
"VENGEANCE!" The Pilots shout as they begin flying out and a ferocious dogfight ensues as the two destroyers and frigates move and keep firing the Helical Rail Cannons, forcing the Lucrehulks to keep moving out of the way of their shots.
"Captain! The strategy is working, we're forcing them apart!"
"Full speed ahead! Spartoi, to you drop pods now!" Captain Vurawn calls to the comms as the Judgement of the Void rushes out with it's guns firing out as droid fighters begin to swarm around it.
"This is Razgriz 3, we'll keep you covered, Judgment!"
"Negative Razgriz 3, take care of the fighters, we'll be fine!" Captain Vurawn calls out, in which the Judgement of the Void begins firing on any fighters that begin drawing close, shooting them down. "All Fighter Squadrons, keep an eye out for enemy bombers, if you spot them, shoot them down immediately!"
"Sir, yes sir!" The Pilots call out, the Judgement of the Void making it's way into orbit over Naboo.
"Get us above the battlefield, the Gungans need our help! Drop pods, get ready for launch!" Captain Vurawn commands as the Spartoi load in quickly.
"Sir, Gungan battlefront confirmed! 10 Seconds till we're in position!"
"Alright everyone, you know the drill, time to show these bastards what it means to rattle the lion's cage and not take our home's threats seriously! May the Void Protect you! FOR THE DOMINION!"
"We're here!"
"FOR THE DOMINION!" The Spartoi shout as the pods are launched towards the battlefield. On the ground, the Gungan's War Shields have just been breached and Captain Tarpals whistles loudly, calling the retreat. And that is when the fiery pods crash into the ground, and the Terrans charge forward, roaring as the Droids look in shock.
"Ambush!" One of the B-1s calls out, and the droids begin to call as the tanks continue, the droids turn around to begin firing upon the Spartoi, not noticing the Gunships dropping down and firing upon their tanks. Meanwhile, in the Hangar Bay, Padme Amidala looks around, with her group as they clean up the last of the droids.
"My guess is the Viceroy is in the throne room."
"Red Group! Blue Group! Everybody this way!" Captain Panaka says.
However, as they make their way towards the hall, the doors open to reveal the Sith Assassin from Tatooine, but this time… He isn't alone. One of the two is muscular but lithe, while the other is larger and bulkier in terms of muscle mass, one being red of skin and the other a sickly yellow, but both carry tattoos on their bodies.
"We'll handle this…" Qui-Gon Jinn says.
"Sergeant, you have your mission…" Titus says.
"We'll take the long way!" Padme says.
"Void Protect you, Brothers…" Sergeant Gadriel says as the groups depart. As the Jedi take off their cloaks, the Terrans hit a button on their armors, disengaging the plating, leaving behind only a lithe but protective woven armor. The Spartoi draw out their Chainswords, just as the two Sith Assassins activate their lightsabers, starting their engines, unleashing the terrible roars of the engines, the screeching roar of the dragons echoing out of the weapons as the Jedi take on the red skinned of the two assassins, while the Spartoi circle around the yellow skinned assassin. Leandros is the first to move, swinging his chain sword as he revs the engine, the teeth cutting into the plasma blade, but not breaking it as the Double Bladed Lightsaber seems to catch it with Titus charging in with an overhead swing, the assassin moving his other blad as he uses his sheer might to force the two off of him as Sidonis charges in, swinging his blade to the side, aiming for the Haft, but the Assassin merely bats the weapon aside, striking the Chainsword's guiding body, with the weapon's Nyx-Dominium shell protecting it, absorbing the heat of the blade before being thrown back from the Lightsaber's Magnetic Sheath around the blade, and the Dominium's magnetic properties repel each other.
'So it's true that Lightsaber Blades are coated in a magnetic containment field to prevent the plasma from dispersing wildly. The heat must be unleashed in a similar manner to that of a PAW, releasing it steadily overtime without harming the surrounding area unless it comes into contact and thus releases the excess energy through and into whatever it comes into contact with.' Titus thinks, hitting the throttle once more as he clashes with the assassin's blade. Leandros, trying to lock blades with the Lightsaber once more, goes in for a thrust as the assassin draws the Spartoi to another area, smiling wickedly as he looks at them. The Three Spartoi look at the Zabrak with concentration, before finding an object being thrown at them as they dodge, only for Sidonis to gasps, and both Titus and Leandros to turn as the sound of a Lightsaber's hiss is heard. "NOOOOOOOO!" Leandros shouts.
"Sidonis…" Titus says, shocked as his comrade falls in battle, his body cut in half as the Lightsaber returns to the Sith's hand. Titus roars as he charges forward, attacking recklessly as his Domain spills out of him, the Assassin looking shocked as his lightsaber begins to spark, with Leandros coming in with his own Chainsword and locking the other blade as the assassin kicks them both away, jumping back as he flexes his fingers.
"So this is the Void you are so proud of… It is annoying to say the least…" The Sith says, "Though that will make killing you and the Jedi all the easier once I take care of you."
"You will pay for what you did to Sidonis…" Titus says, grabbing his fallen brother's chainsword. "His Chainsword will roar in vengeance!"
"Good, I love a challenge!" The Sith says, "I am Darth Savage… One of the Two Sith Apprentice Candidates for Darth Sidious!"
"Well then Darth Savage, you shall face not only our vengeance, but that of our homeworld behind us. Even if we fall today, we will die with Vengeance on our lips!" Leandros says.
"VENGEANCE!" Titus shouts, roaring as he charges forward, in which the two start battling savage, calling on their Domains as they battle Savage, whose lightsaber begins to spark at the emitters, but the Sith only smiles as he continues to battle them dodging Titus's second blade while he blocks the first as well as Leandros's weapon, until they get outside and Savage kicks Titus down the side of the building onto a nearby rooftop, leaving him alone with Leandros, who continues to battle his opponent. Snarling, Titus forces himself back up the building, utilizing his training to climb up as quickly as possible.
Leandros, for his part, is conserving his strength as he continues to battle Darth Savage, and realizes what is going on with this weapon. The double-bladed lightsaber has a mental trick to it, one that would normally make any Jedi a bit dizzy. If Leandros is right, most opponents would try to keep track of both blades at once, yet they would often miss the obvious thing they would have to realize with this weapon, if you knew where one blade was, you should automatically know where the other was. However, that was when Leandros noticed something in the construction of the hilt as he looks at the center of it. That is when Darth Savage Smirks and twists his lightsaber, and… The Weapon splits apart, in which Leandros jumps out of the way, shocked as he now has more of a problem to deal with. However, as Titus climbs up, Darth Savage tosses the off-hand saber to the unsuspecting Spartoi. However, it is at that point, time feels like it slows for everyone, as Titus looks at the weapon slowly approaching him… Only for Leandros to appear and push Titus aside, before taking the saber in the stomach.
Clicking his tongue, Darth Savage calls back his saber as Leandros falls to his knees, and curls up, holding his wound as he groans in pain. Titus, shocked at what he has just seen, glares at Darth Savage and… Everything becomes a blur… Titus can hardly recall what happened… He does remember he slide the Chainswords down the length of the Lightsabers once they locked and not only sliced apart the sabers, but also Darth Savage's hands, before cutting him into four pieces with both Chainswords… However, once that is done, Titus rushes over to Leandros, who is groaning. "Leandros… Why?"
"The Codex Astartes did not approve that action…" Leandros says, coughing, but smiling. "But I am glad I did it…"
"Leandros, stay with me, brother!" Titus says, shedding tears, to which Leandros smiles at Titus, before his eyes close. Titus screams in fury, and if any were listening in, they would know Lieutenant Titus is in pain… Terrible Pain… The battle in space was going much better, for the Blockade was being ripped apart by Terran MAW Cannons and their Fighter Squadrons were being shot down left and right. Unfortunately, the Terrans would suffer the losses of their own squadrons, for this wasn't like the Wrath of Terra on Vagar Praxut, where they lost few fighters because of their opponents relying on psychological warfare and having very little experience in opponents who actively fought back, these were heartless, soulless machines who killed without pity or mercy, exploiting every weakness they found. Though these Vulture Droids were dropping like flies, by the time the Control Ship was destroyed, the Terran Fighters lost about half their numbers, while Task Force's Frigates and Destroyers, while still operational, had suffered more than one major hole in them, and thus they had to seal off areas and leave their personnel trapped inside the seal off areas to die. Though this was a Victory, Captain Vurawn was not happy, as he had to leave his men to handle the diversion of the Lucrehulks on their own while he delivered reinforcements for the Gungans. They had suffered heavy losses, but all 12 Lucrehulk Battleships were destroyed.
Still, to Vurawn, this was a Hollow Victory in his eyes, for while the majority of his men did survive, those who died to keep the rest alive was unacceptable in his eyes. However, thanks to the Terran's support, both Sith Assassins were killed, and Titus's report to the Jedi Council and his superiors revealed that the other assassin and Darth Savage were only Apprentice Candidates, meaning that the Master is still out there, and he would be looking for another apprentice soon. Mother Terra and her people would mourn the losses of those who had been killed to free the Naboo, and thus, though their bodies would most likely not be recovered, their names would be added to the Walls of the Honored Fallen, memorial walls for the Terran Dominion where those who were unable to come home and be given a proper burial would be remembered. As for Alexander Titus, he was recognized by the Dominion for being the First Spartoi to battle and kill as Sith, even if it was an apprentice, so he was recommended, and approved, to forge a Power Sword of his own.
However, after the funerals of those who have passed, there is celebrations to be had as Gungan Drummers and Trumpeteers play as they march down the streets of Theed, with Dominion representatives, including Titus, dressed in a formal military uniform stands with the Naboo, alongside Captain Vurawn, who both stand with the other Spartoi. As Boss Nass climbs the stairs with Captain Tarpals and Jar-Jar Binks, the Dominion Soldiers move to stand on the opposing side of Boss Nass when he faces Padme to pass the Globe of Peace to Boss Rugor Nass, who raises it above his head, while the Dominion members press their fists against their hearts in Salute, with Titus standing as he has a chain wrapped around his right wrist, bearing the symbol of a crucifix with a skull upon it, something that Leandros's Lucky Charm.
