Here is the final chapter for part 2 of this story, guys!
Now, I'm gonna mention another show for no reason, but I REALLY need to talk about it. They kinda disappointed me with how they ended Arcane. It's ironic for me to say this - but Season 2 felt like fanfiction at times with how it deviated from Season 1's themes, man. I won't spoil it beyond that however.
So, I'm just gonna pretend that Season 2 isn't canon and write MY OWN fanfiction instead LOL (well, at some point…)
(ALSO, THERE IS A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE END OF THIS CHAPTER,- SO PLEASE READ IT GUYS - THEY WILL ALSO BE UNDERLINED BTW)
Now, on with the story.
I DO NOT OWN RWBY OR ANY OF THE SOURCES THAT I WILL HAVE THE CHARACTERS REACT TO. That being said, all of that is implied since it's fanfiction.
INTERLUDE 2
Yang followed the rose petals until she found herself at a closed door. She knocked on it.
"Rubes?" She asked.
When she didn't get a response, she put her head on the door to hear what was going on behind it. Sniffles could be heard.
"Ruby! Please, just talk to me!"
"Go away! Ruby responded. "H-How did you even find me anyways?"
"Your semblance leaves behind petals, remember?"
"...Ugh."
Yang heard some movement behind the door before it opened, showing a Ruby Rose with disheveled hair. Her face was also stained with tears.
Ruby wiped her nose before she spoke up. She tried to remain composed. "Would…"
Tried was the key word. "Would mom really not want me to be a Huntress?" Ruby sobbed out. She immediately fell towards Yang, hugging her tightly.
"I don't…" Yang tried to answer whilst keeping hold of her sister.
"I always thought she would be proud of me!" Ruby wept. "I thought she would be glad that I'm trying to help people…"
"She would be…she WOULD be." Yang reaffirmed to her sister.
"But in the music, she…"
"I'm sure she's just worried for you…" Yang stated calmly. "If she could see you now, I'm sure she would be proud." [1]
"No! You don't know that! None of you do! You heard the song, she *left* us! Just lik-"
"Don't compare Mom to Raven!" Yang said. "She must've left for good reasons, just like in the song!"
Ruby shook her head. "Doesn't matter.."
She let go of Yang and tried to go away, but ran into a solid metal wall. She fell down on her butt.
"Of course…" Ruby said with a sigh. As she tried to get up however, said metal wall offered a hand.
"Penny?" Yang asked, seeing that Penny managed to stop Ruby from running away.
Penny did not respond to Yang however. She had one focus right now. "I saw you were in pain, Friend Ruby. So I came to help!"
"Look Penny, I appreciate it and all…but this isn't something that can just be helped…Yang just tried and if she can't make me feel better then…"
Yang looked struck by that.
However, Penny just smiled. "I am not just combat ready, Ruby. I am also emotional support ready!"
The android then spoke to Yang. "Friend Yang, don't worry. I will help your sister! Also, your father and uncle wanted to help but it seems that they are talking to someone else. She seems to be kinda like you, so maybe you can head over there!" She pointed towards a room far away.
"Oh! Um….okay I guess." Yang went past the robot and put a hand on her shoulder. "Thanks, Penny."
The Y in Team RWBY let out a sigh as she left. I wish I could've helped more, but I guess Penny can help right now. Now, what DID Penny mean by someone kinda like me…
As Yang left, Penny turned around and saw Ruby sitting down beside the wall and hugging her legs. Penny sat down beside her. They remained quiet for a while before Ruby finally spoke up.
"Please don't do what I did, I don't want you to waste your life in vain…" Ruby uttered out the lyrics her 'mother' sang. "Is that what I'm doing, Penny? Am I just…wasting my life?"
Ruby covered her face with her hands and let out a muffled scream. Why did she leave? Why didn't she say anything? Why doesn't she want me to be a huntress? Why is being a huntress so bad? WHY IS SHE NOT HERE?
"No."
Ruby's spiralling was interrupted by Penny's firm declaration. She looked at her friend.
"You are not wasting your life. You're trying to be a hero. How could that be a waste?"
Ruby was shocked. "But mom…"
"I apologize for saying this Ruby, but to be frank - what your mom said *doesn't* matter."
Ruby let out a gasp.
Regardless, Penny continued. "Even if your mom truly did not want you to follow her path, she shouldn't control what you do - especially from beyond."
Ruby looked down.
"You are who you are. YOU decide what is right, and what is worth it. Not me, not your mom, not anybody else."
Ruby let out a mirthless chuckle. "But everything I've done…building Crescent Rose…going to training…it was for her…"
"Was it?" Penny asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, when I see you train, be with your team, and work on your weapon - you truly seem happy!
Ruby thought about what Penny meant. She remembered celebrating her birthday with Weiss and Blake and Yang. She remembered game nights with Jaune and his team. She remembered bonding with Uncle Qrow over fixing Crescent Rose. She remembered the fun spars with her dad. And she remembered how…how jubilant she was when she was accepted into Beacon…
Ruby's breath hitched as she realized what Penny meant. "You're right…you're right!"
Penny smiled.
"Everything I've done has made ME happy! So why stray away?"
"Exactly!" Penny went closer to Ruby. "I know it sucks that your mom didn't want you to be a huntress, but you shouldn't let it get to you. Your happiness and your beliefs should go first."
Ruby let out a chuckle. "Yeah…I think I get that now."
The two girls sat down in the hall, silent but content.
"So, you know what you want to say now?" Qrow asked his sister.
"No! What am I meant to say to her?" Raven exclaimed, nervous.
Taiyang let out a chuckle. "Just say what's on your mind! It's not like she's gonna try and fist fight with you!"
"Eh…" Qrow said.
"Not helping, Qrow!"
"I'm just being honest…"
Raven didn't even have time to respond before the door to the room they were in, opened up.
In came Yang.
"So…what's up, da-" Yang's sentence was interrupted as she realized who was in the room.
Yang looked at her biological mother in shock, as Raven immediately felt all the thoughts in her head leave her. Oh no. What should I say?
The initial shock also left Yang as she crossed her arms and glared at Raven. "What are YOU doing here?" She asked in an annoyed tone.
"Look Firecracker, I know this seems sudden, but I truly think Raven wants to make things right." Qrow said with a smile. "That's why we're gonna let you guys talk alone." He finished as he walked out of the room.
Yang let out a scoff, but didn't go away. She remained, glaring at her egg donor.
Meanwhile, Taiyang was saying a few last words to Raven. "Just clean this slate and we can all be together again, alright?"
"Just like that?" She asked.
"Well…not just like that, but at least we could be a team again. So please, try!" Taiyang said as he also left the room.
As Taiyang and Qrow left the room, they sat down on some seats on the wall across the room.
"You think they'll actually make up?" Taiyang asked.
Qrow let out a sigh. "I really don't know…I do think that Raven does regret everything that went down, but I wouldn't fault Yang for not forgiving her…"
"Yeah, that's true."
"At least there's a better chance with my semblance not affecting the outcome." Qrow admitted.
"Wait, is that why we left? I thought it was to give them privacy!"
"There can be multiple reasons!"
"I thought semblances don't work here though." Taiyang questioned.
"No, they do, I saw that the Ren kid used his semblance at one point."
"Huh. Maybe I should use mine!"
"Don't! You'll burn the place down!" Qrow pleaded.
"Oh come on! I doubt Chrono will mind."
"I don't think potentially pissing off a guy who managed to kidnap all of us is a good idea!"
"Yeesh! Fine.." Taiyang said with a pout. He got up and began pacing in front of the door.
Qrow saw it and rolled his eyes. "Relax, they won't kill each other…"
Taiyang wanted to refute that but stopped himself. "Yeah..yeah, of course."
He then put his head up against the door. "But, I'll just have a listen!"
Qrow chuckled. "Finally! I thought you wouldn't do it!" [2]
Taiyang immediately turned pale however. "Oh no…"
Meanwhile, in the room - the conversation between mother and daughter was taking a turn for the worse.
"It's not that simple! You don't know me, you don't know what I've been through, the choices I've had to make!" Raven exclaimed.
"You're right. I don't know you! I only know the Raven that dad told me about. She was troubled, and complicated, but she fought for what she believed in, whether it was her team or her tribe! Did you kill her too?" Yang questioned.
Raven eyes widened. She looked away, before turning back to face her daughter again. "I've stared death in the face over and over again! And every time I've spat in that face and survived, because I'm strong enough to do what others won't!"
"Oh, shut up! You don't know the first thing about strength! You turn your back on people, you run away when things get too hard, you put others in harm's way instead of yourself!"
"Well, I'm not running away now, am I?!"
Yang's eyes widened. She looked away, before turning back to face her mother again. She shook her head. "I don't believe you."
"...What?"
"I don't believe that you've changed."
"Why?" Raven asked, emotional.
"You can't even apologize for leaving! You just tried to defend yourself!"
"I-..." Raven said. The R in Team STRQ then saw her daughter try to leave and she immediately went in front of her to stop.
"Don't go! You really just want to leave without saying more?" She asked, pleading in her eyes.
"Nope. But I'm gonna do it anyway."
Yang walked forward, bumping her mother out of the way as she passed her. Raven looked down in shame. A single tear has begun to dip from Raven's eye.
"I…" Raven holds her arm as more tears well up in her eyes. "I'm sorry…"
Tears well up in Yang's eyes as well. "Yeah... Me too." [3]
Yang then opened the door and began to leave, ignoring Taiyang and Qrow. However, she quickly faltered as tears began to stream from Yang's eyes, as she fell to her knees, breaking down crying. She immediately felt Taiyang hug her.
"I tried dad…I tried to forgive her…"
"I know…"
Meanwhile, Qrow went back inside and tried to console a sobbing Raven.
"So, did you like the skits more? Or the one with the Grimm?"
"I liked that documentary better, to be honest."
"Seeing Arthur again was pretty cool!"
"What about the one with the kids, that was so sad!"
"And then happy! I'm glad we saw that second part!"
Jaune overheard the other teams in the room - SSSN, CRDL, and CFVY - and how they were talking about the movies they watched.
He was feeling in a good mood, and why wouldn't he? Ren and Nora finally got together! That's why Team JNPR was in the break room getting drinks to celebrate and talk about it.
"Alright! I got the drinks!" Jaune said with a smile as he gave one to Ren, to Nora, and then to Pyrrha.
"Are we sure we should drink?" Pyrrha asked.
"Yeah, why not?" Ren said with a chuckle. "I'd say this is the perfect occasion to have alcohol for the first time!"
Jaune let out a weak laugh. "Well…second time for me."
"WHAT?" Nora said with a gasp.
"Peer pressure from your older sisters can make you do a lot of things…" He thought back to all the time he had to dress up as a girl. Ugh…
"But regardless, I'll just pretend like it's the first time!" [4]
"I'll take it!" Ren said. He then put up his drink. "Now, cheers!"
"Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
"Yeah, cheers!"
The four members of Team JNPR clinked their drinks together.
Man, what a great time…I bet the others are doing well too! Jaune thought.
"Look, I left her alone in the room so I could get ourselves some drinks, so it should be fine to talk to her!" Ilia told Adam.
The White Fang leader shook his head, adjusting his new eye patch. [5]
"What if she runs away?" He asked. What if I lose control?
"I'll be there too - so don't worry!"
Adam grunted in response. "Alright then…"
Ilia opened the door. "Blake! Here's some soda!"
"Thanks," Blake said as she took the drink and saw Adam.
"Adam?!" Blake screeched as she immediately dropped the drink at the floor and stepped back.
The bull faunus immediately put his hands up placatingly. "I just want to talk."
"..." Blake did not respond as she peered at her former ex in fear.
Adam sighed as he put his hands over his hair, making sure to avoid his horns. "Look I-, the future…with Beacon-, and the White Fang-"
Blake focused a bit more after that.
Adam sighed. "Look, I'm not good at this."
"You never were, outside of the mission…" Blake said.
Adam chuckled in response. "You're one to talk."
"...Why exactly did you come here, Adam?"
Adam remained silent for a bit, in order to figure out how to say what he wanted to say. Eventually, he spoke up. "I've been thinking of the future, and-"
A knock was heard on the door. "Blake?"
"Weiss?" Blake answered.
Both Ilia and Adam's eyes widened as they looked at each other in alarm.
The door opened and the heiress came in. "What are you doing in here-" Weiss asked before gasping at Adam's presence.
The bull faunus grit his teeth. I'm getting tired of those looks and questions..and of course it's HER…
Adam decided to remain civil though. "Schnee…" he said with a minor sneer.
"I…uh…" Weiss fumbled, confused as to what to say.
Seeing that the Schnee was not gonna speak, Adam just shook his head and turned back to Blake. "As I was saying, I've been thinking of the future, and how I've led the White Fang…and I think I get what you mean now…" Adam admitted.
Blake felt her breath hitch. Could it be…?
"I thought I was helping to lead a movement to help liberate and free faunus," Adam continued. "But now I know that all I was doing was fueling and fighting human supremacy with faunus supremacy…"
The shame from the bull faunus could be felt from everybody else in the room as he finished voicing his thoughts.
Blake was stunned into silence. This was everything she wanted to hear from Adam, but she did not know what to say in response.
Ilia just nodded in silence, fully being in understanding with both.
Weiss, however…
"It took you that long to understand? Unbelievable!" She said with a scoff.
"Wait, Weis-" Blake tried to say.
"Oh what do you know, Schnee?" Adam growled. Ugh, why did she have to be here…
Weiss saw Adam's umbrage and felt her own indignation rise in response. "Don't look at me like that! You killed my family, my friends! And for what? For the actions of a few people?!"
Adam felt his hands shaking. He brought up his hand to his eyepatch. "FOR THIS!" [6]
Both Blake and Ilia felt their stomachs sink.
Blake knew that Weiss was gonna feel guilt for this. Even if it's not her fault…
Ilia was always sad to see the effects the SDC had on her fellow faunus, especially after what happened to her parents. Never gets easy, seeing that scar…
Weiss covered her mouth as she saw the large 'SDC' brand on Adam's eye.
"THIS IS WHY!" Adam shouted. However, the faunus soon closed his eye and shook his head. Control yourself, Adam…
He grit his teeth and he looked at the three people in the room. "But I know that such anger has been misdirected…" His shoulders slumped.
"I killed the person who branded me long ago…and I never felt satisfied." Adam admitted, as he looked down.
"Then why continue?" Weiss asked, with pleading eyes.
"Because I felt spiteful. I was full of hate for what some humans did to me, so I wanted to make sure that more and more humans would suffer. I wanted to see them below me, since those racists did."
Adam stood straight again. "But after seeing the future, all these viewings…I now know that such a path just isn't worth it…I saw myself terrorize and incite war, I saw myself as a crazy king..and I just felt empty. I don't want to feel that way anymore."
"Adam…"Blake said.
The door went open. "Blake, are you doing oka-Taurus?!"
Adam felt his mouth go open. He could handle Blake. He could handle Blake AND her Schnee friend. But Blake, the Schnee AND her parents?
"What are you doing here?!" Ghira Belladonna growled at Adam. The bull faunus noticed Kali also glaring at him.
Adam's face went blank. "Nothing. I was just gonna leave…" He put his eye patch back on and began to walk.
"Adam, wait!" Blake said.
But Adam already opened the door and left.
Blake looked at the open door before she was surrounded by her parents.
"Are you okay? Did he try anything?"
"No…" she said as she continued to stare ahead.
Ironwood took a seat in the room he found for himself and the rest of Ozpin's group - minus Qrow. He let out a sigh. Here we go…
"So…is there anything you want to say, James?" Glynda asked from across the room.
Winter was to his left, whilst Oobleck and Ozpin were together to his far right.
"About that song…I can assure you that I do not have such a mindset right now." Ironwood said, defending his mental state.
"So then it means the song represents your mental state after what happens in the future," Ozpin deduced.
"That makes sense," Oobleck added. "After all, part of the reason for why the attack by Salem's group goes so well is due to Atlesian robots being brought to Vale!"
"Yeah…" the general replied. He grit his teeth in anger.
"Look sir," Winter began. "It seemed like a good move at the time. Nobody could anticipate them being hacked by a dead man."
"I could've!" Ironwood exclaimed. "I was tasked with overseeing the investigation into Watts' suspicious death and I chose to stop it prematurely in order to focus on more crucial projects at the time! And I went through with that due to Mettle…"
"Your semblance, right?" Oobleck asked.
Ironwood nodded as he looked ahead, distraughtly.
"I guess that's the issue isn't it? It's like what Watts said, this is what he wants from you," Ozpin said.
Ironwood agreed with a grimace on his face. "But what about you, Ozpin? What about what we've seen from you?"
Ozpin signed. "I know…seeing my scheming and tendency to use others has been eye-opening. You tend to lose sight of some things when you're so old," Ozpin smiled at James. "I guess we both tend to do that, huh?"
Ironwood let out a small smile in response. "So it seems."
"I guess it's time we take Glynda's advice more prudently. It's time we, uh…what's it again?" Ozpin asked her assistant.
Glynda rolled her eyes. "Stop talking about trust and start showing it?" [7]
"Precisely. We all need to trust and learn each other's perspective - that way, we remain strong." Ozpin declared.
"Well, I guess we can begin with adding Winter to our group then right now, huh?" Ironwood pointed out with a smile.
"Of course!"
"Look, about my loyalties…" Cinder started.
"Relax, we know."
"Your power hungriness isn't exactly hard to see."
"The only reason we haven't said anything is because our goddess told us not to!"
Cinder glared at her other…companions, before turning back to Salem. "My own ambition won't get in the way of your mission, ma'am."
Salem did not believe her one bit, but she was not really bothered to call her out on it. "If you say so…"
In another room, silence permeated throughout the area. The four people inside of it, all criminals, were pondering what they just saw.
Emerald was sitting on a couch, looking down whilst frowning. Right next to her was Mercury, who was looking up at the feeling.
Across those two were Neo and Roman. The latter was trying his hardest to console the former by reciprocating her hug and rubbing circles on her back.
"Come on Neo, your ice cream is getting cold…" Roman uttered quietly as he was looking at the ice cream he got for the girl from the break room.
Those words were enough to get the mute criminal moving to the other side of the room.
As she left his seat, the master thief let out a sigh. "...I think I might've been wrong."
Both Mercury and Emerald looked at Roman.
"What do you mean?" Mercury replied, with a raised eyebrow.
"Remember what I said to you guys the last time we were here?"
"No, not really."
"I didn't really listen."
"Typical," Roman said with a roll of his eyes. "I told you guys, and Adam, to 'just keep doing what you're doing and who cares what the videos show'...yeah, never mind about that!" [8]
Roman shook his head as he thought about the advice he gave.
"No, we clearly need to consider them."
"Why?" Emerald asked.
"Because it's clear we need to get our acts together! I heard Neo's song! When I die, she spirals!"
Neo flinched as she heard Roman talk about his death. She swallowed another spoonful.
"And I don't want that for her. And the only way I can see myself not dying? Well, I'm gonna go to Oz."
"WHAT?!" Emerald screeched.
"Are you serious?" Mercury exclaimed.
Neo's eyes widened.
"Well it's the best thing I can think of. I know they'll probably lock me away, but if I can expose more of Cinder's plans to Ozpin, then maybe I can get less time. And while in prison, I can be safe." He looked at Neo. "I won't be dead."
Neo did not know how to respond.
"But you guys will be separated," Mercury pointed out.
Roman scoffed. "You think I'm letting her join me? No. This is just gonna be a solo operation!"
Neo dropped her ice cream and went to Roman. She shook her head and told Roman her disagreement.
"...You want to join me?" Roman said in shock. "No. You're staying free. I'll be fine - I was already in Ironwood's ship before we got here anyways."
Meanwhile, Emerald snapped." You think I'm just gonna sit here and listen to this?! I'm telling Cinder about this…be-betrayal!"
"You should betray her as well! She clearly doesn't care about you, and she won't be satisfied. She'll just keep trying to get more and more power. Do you REALLY think she would share her power with you?" Roman argued.
"He's got a point to be fair…" Mercury added.
Emerald's hands trembled in anger, then relaxed suddenly. Her shoulders slumped down as well. "I know…it's just that I-"
"Love her. Yeah, we know."
"It was pretty obvious."
Neo nodded in response.
Emerald scowled. "Yeah? Well what about you and your daddy issues?"
"What about it? I can't exactly find ANOTHER father, can I?"
"How about all of you guys also go to Ozpin?" Roman added.
Upon seeing the skepticism on their faces, Roman further explained. "Think about it - all of you guys are already pretending to be hunters and technically fit the age. You guys can also find new people to call friends, or to love, or to guide you!"
Roman put his feet up whilst sitting. "You know, I always wanted to be a huntsman, before I had to join up with Spider…"
"I wouldn't have expected a master criminal to tell us to join a school for heroes…" Emerald stated.
"Yeah, well I didn't expect to see things here that would change my mindset. But here we are!"
Roman got up from his seat. "I'm gonna get some more ice cream for you, Neo," he then looked at the other two as he opened the door. "And think about what I said, guys."
Chrono let out a satisfied sigh as he finished cleaning up the theater and got all the food on the floor off the ground. It sure is nice to do things manually from time to time…
He looked at the clock at the back of the room. Hmm…I got a few moments before I need to call them back.
And so, Chrono decided to sit down on one of the seats, and think about what viewings he should show his audience next.
After a bit, he finally realized what would be perfect to show the crowd.
"I got it!"
He immediately pressed a button on the remote he had, and alerts could be heard throughout the neighboring rooms.
[BREAK OVER. GO BACK TO THE CINEMA] , [BREAK OVER. GO BACK TO THE CINEMA, [BREAK OVER. GO BACK TO THE CINEMA]. The alarmed blared.
It was quiet but some groans could be heard from another room, as well as a loud shout of "SERIOUSLY? RIGHT NOW?".
Chrono grinned. Alright, it's time for more viewings!
And that's it for now!
As for what happened in this chapter, I decided to make it a bit longer than my previous interlude - so this one is 5k instead of 3k.
I kinda wanted to set up some Ruby and Penny interactions, so unfortunately, I had to make Yang leave - but I hoped the part with her and Raven was good to make up for it! I kinda put Yang through the wringer this chapter, huh?
As for both sisters' talks about/with their mothers - I kinda wanted them to mirror each other - Ruby accepts her mother's words but chooses to still be a huntress, whilst Yang hears her mother out, but still chooses to reject her. This doesn't mean I dislike Summer or Raven - but it's just that their daughters don't necessarily need to agree with or tolerate them (even if they love them - like in Ruby's case with Summer).
Meanwhile for Adam, while I did want him to try and make up with Blake, it's obvious that such an endeavour was going to take a while with his personal issues - and I thought adding Weiss, and Blake's parents, would help to show that as well. For Roman, Emerald, Neo, and Mercury - I know the idea for them to defect from Cinder could seem weird, but I feel like it makes sense at this point. I can see Roman deciding to turn himself in for Neo's sake as being part of his character as well - they love each other, man! The parts with JNPR, CRDL, SSSN, and CFVY were also short as well since they don't really have any need to talk things out just yet.
Finally, for Ozpin and Salem's group - I wanted to illustrate how different they are in talking about their issues. James and Ozpin are trying to mend their trust issues, while Salem and the rest are aware of CInder's power-hungriness - they just don't care. And why should they? Salem is immortal, and the others believe that she would lose to their combined strength.
As for the major news…
RWBY Alternate is starting to enter its final act. There will only be 10 chapters left, excluding the final one (which won't be a reaction). They will all also be written together and released at some point, on a weekly basis.
So basically…this is the last chance for leave suggestions, either from reviews or PMs.
However, once Chapter 24 drops? I won't listen or consider reviews anymore sadly (because I'll have written all the last chapters for the story). Sorry! Also with this in mind, I'm technically going on a hiatus for this story - so no chapter next week. Double sorry!
I do plan to write other stories soon, however - so I hope you guys give them a read if possible!
[1] - This bit with Ruby and Yang is a reference to "RWBY and JNPR watch the show" by Turniphater. I mentioned that story in the last chapter - and if you want to read it, it's on Spacebattles! Sadly, it got deleted on FFNet…also, I *had* to change the dialogue a little bit of course lol
[2] - This is a reference to The Witcher 3, where Geralt and Yennefer can actually eavesdrop on Ciri. I love that scene tbh, Geralt and Yen really do seem like parents worrying over their daughter lol
[3] - This is based on the conversation between Yang and Raven to end Volume 5.
[4] - Oh Ekko…(I know said I was disappointed by Arcane S2 but EP7 is an exception lol)
[5] - A bit of a retcon since I forgot to mention it earlier - but when Adam broke his WF mask - he covered his eye with an eyepatch, pirate style lol
[6] - Yep, I took this from The Beast of Beacon. Great fic, probably the best one with Adam in my opinion. I love how Coeur Al'Aran characterized him there.
[7] - I can't remember the exact episode, but I liked this little bit where Glynda says that to Ironwood. I think such advice could work not just for Ironwood, but for Ozpin as well.
[8] - It's what Roman said to Adam and Mercury in INTERLUDE 1, basically.
AND NOW TO ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS/SUGGESTIONS FROM REVIEWS:
Dcwestby: I wouldn't be surprised if that part of Fallout was inspired by The Lottery in all honesty. Fallout takes a lot of inspiration from 1950s aesthetics and that story was written around the same era - if only a bit earlier.
Anthony Galupo : Good to see your review again, man! And you know what, I actually kinda want to do another Coeur reaction, so maybe I might do it…if you see Chapter 24 as an Arc Corp, then you can consider your work done, my dude!
Jamieoeyes: I'm so sorry dude! I'll try to find a way to include "Quiet" in the chapter where I cover "Thy Rusted Knight"!
TheDoctor1998: I really want to do Mass Effect! I've been thinking about doing the loyalty Mission for Garrus in ME2, but I also kinda want to focus on a mission where a RWBY character could fit in however...after all replacing Garrus with say Adam wouldn't make sense since they look nothing alike smh.
Cooldude101011: If I'm being honest - if I do a Coeur chapter again, I'll prolly do Arc Royale for Anthony's sake, and because I already saw a Relic of the Future reaction fanfic somewhere here…sorry man lol
DragonKingDragneel25: That's totally fair - I thought it was stupid that Cinder was able to convince Neo like that in Volume 6, but that's why canon dictated - so I had Neo act the same way. I hope that Ruby's reaction in this chapter met your expectations however!
UndeadLord22: I wanted to do Qrow's song but I also wanted to do Ruby's song and I thought Qrow being conflicted would conflict with him trying to make Ruby feel better after her song (which is what I mean to do).
lucky seven77: Unfortunately I've never seen it, so I probably won't do it. Apologies for that. I get your pain though - it sucks to not see any reaction fics for certain media that you like.
A Guest: Your suggestion of Tsukihime sounds very interesting, especially when you mentioned that the prologue alone could work…I'll try to see if I can watch it. If I like it and find the mirror it has to RWBY, then I'll consider it!
Another Guest: I won't do It's A Wonderful Life, sadly. I actually want to write up another one-shot for another fandom for this upcoming Christmas. Apologies.
Mage: As much as I love the show, I won't do Arcane for two reasons. First, it's a bit too long to focus on any scene or character without their story or purpose being out of context. Second, as I mentioned at the beginning - the ending annoyed me lol. Sorry!
Cloudy Sea: I actually haven't watched the Fan Letter Episode yet but since I've finished Arcane, I might watch soon. If I like it then I might do it - you've intrigued me with what you said lol. That being said, I kinda wanted to do the Ryuma episode to be honest though. For Arcane…well you saw what I said at the beginning (and how I answered Mage's review)
Go Go Go Go: Thank you so much for your review. And I'm glad you saw what I did with the characterization with characters like Roman. You also make a good point of having a future chapter show what the White Fang could look like. Unfortunately, I won't be doing Arcane because of the reasons above…
See you guys!
NEXT CHAPTER: WE'LL SEE!
