Ash is in the Pokemon center cafeteria with his Metapod and Kakuna in front of him.
"I wonder what should I teach you. I mean we need to defeat fire type with bug types and only way to defeat them is use of chakra" says Ash via aura
"Chakra?" asks Kakuna
"Yeah, everyone have it. All pokemon can use chakra that's why they an execute various moves " says Ash
"So what we are going to learn" asks Metapod
"Frankly speaking, if we're going to defeat fire types, you'll need to learn water-style chakra manipulation," Ash said with a smile, though his eyes were serious. "I wonder how you'll manage that. Is your body ready to handle that much energy? If I ask you to use it, it could be dangerous. Mastering it usually takes at least three years of training."
Before Ash could continue, his attention was drawn to a crowd gathering around a large television screen nearby.
"What's going on?" Ash wondered aloud as he made his way over to see what was happening. As he approached, the screen displayed a press conference from the Pokémon League Authority.
"Ladies and gentlemen," one of the league representatives began, "we're here to announce a revision to the Pokémon League format. After careful consideration, we've realized that certain tasks may be unachievable even for experienced trainers. Therefore, we're introducing a new format."
Ash leaned in closer, intrigued by the unexpected news.
"As part of this new format, trainers are still required to capture a new team with three Pokémon of each type," the representative continued. "However, the task and point systems have been revoked. You may also use foreign Pokémon. At any given time, you can have only six Pokémon on hand, unless you're using your old Pokémon for training purposes."
Another league representative took over. "Once you've captured three Pokémon of each of the eighteen types, you must register again to receive a special Arena Badge. This badge allows you to participate in type-specialization battles against other league-registered trainers in two-vs-two and three-vs-three elimination-style matches."
The crowd murmured in response, and Ash felt a surge of excitement. This new format was going to be a real challenge.
"And once you start battling other trainers," the representative continued, "you'll need to collect type symbols from your opponents. If you lose more than six type battles, you'll lose your chance to challenge the gym leaders."
The final representative stepped forward. "After successfully winning all your rounds, the top five thousand trainers with the most points will be granted the opportunity to challenge the gym leaders."
Ash's mind was already racing with strategies. This new format was tough, but it was also a chance to test his skills and push his limits. He could feel the determination building within him—this was exactly the kind of challenge he thrived on.
"And if you loose the chance, you will get another chance after six years" says the officials
"What " asks Ash in pure shock along with other trainers who are in same state of shock.
"But it doesn't mean you are banned from taking part in other league. It's just you need to wait six years to retry home league " says officials clearing doubts.
"Another thing to note is that the move limit is removed to make battles more interesting and use of evolution items are allowed as well and if you have any old pokemon you can use them only after getting six badges." says other official making trainers relaxed
"So gear up and after six months you have to take part in the most awaiting battles. All battles will be telecast live. The rest things we decided to keep secret to make things more interesting. " says officials concluding the press conference
Ash then took his pokemon out in Veridian forest and says. " Everyone things are changed, we need to get three pokemon each type to qualify for the league..So in next six months we will get new teams and train them"
"I can't wait to get stronger " says Metapod and then Pinsir said the same.
"Hello " says Pidgey from their training session landed on Ash's shoulders
"Hey Pidgey, what are you doing here" asks Ash
"I wanted to join you. The training time was amazing and I decided to join you. Don't worry, I already told my flock" says Pidgey
"Sure, I will be happy to have you." says Ash as he bring out an empty pokeball and captured him
"Alright, let's have some food and then we can go back to Pallet Town" says Ash
Two days later Ash arrived back in Pallet Town where is at Oak's lab. Delia is also sitting there.
Pidgey is hopping from one equipment to other
pecking the things.
"If you want you can go around the world and capture the new team. I know they changed rules but I think this is for the elimination purpose of as much as trainers they can. " says Delia
"I think I will go around the world and travel solo to capture good amount of new team. I think dual type will benefit me to have advantage of both types and cover as much as type I can" says Ash
"Which Pokemon you want to take" asks Ash
"I want to take Pikachu, Metapod,Kakuna, Pinsir, Pidgey and Aerodactyl with me. Along with them I wish to take Gengar, Gardevoir and Lucario" says Ash
"Great thought Ash, these pokemon are very strong in their own sense. However, if you want you can take them all. Until you start participating in league, you can carry max to max six" says Professor Oak
"Sure, that would be helpful Professor Oak." says Ash
"When you are leaving" asks Delia
"I am leaving tomorrow morning" says Ash
"Let me make arrangements for you. However, if you want then can you help in capturing the flock leader of spearow. " says Oak
"You mean Fearow, " asks Ash
"Yes, people reported that the Fearow ,flock leader is terrorizing the route one. You can setup a trade later on" says Oak
"Sure" says Ash
Next day Ash arrived on Route 1. "Pidgey you know where is spearow flock" asks Ash
"I know, but they have a very strong flock" says Pidgey as he shivers by only thinking about flock.
"Are they strong" asks Ash as Pidgey nodded
"Well, let's go then" says Ash as he closed his eyes and located flock of spearow hidden in one of the massive tree.
"They are in the tree. " says Ash as without any warning flock dashed outwards and directly charged at Ash.
"So they are attacking at me without thinking. Ghost type attacks may not be effective on them but the ground type will work " says Ash sending out his Claydol. Spearow flock of hundred and fifty members led by old looking fearow and three other Fearow.
"Claydol we are about to bring them to earth. Use gravity wave" says Ash as Claydol as he unleashed the wave of pink energy that struck the flock of spearow causing them to stuck at one place before they collapsed on the ground. While some of them resisted and used brave bird.
Use Quake Edge Barrage!" Ash commanded. Claydol hovered, gathering energy before creating multiple rings of jagged stones. With a swift motion, the rings launched forward, spinning at high speed toward the incoming Spearow and Fearow. The stones sliced through the air, exploding on impact and sending shockwaves through the flock. The force of the barrage was devastating, and within five minutes, sixty flying types had been brought down.
Ash's satisfaction was short-lived, however, as he noticed movement through the dust and debris left by the explosion. His eyes narrowed as he focused on a group of Fearow attempting to sneak up on him from behind, using the chaos as cover. Sound of the flapping wings along with the bird cry gets intense as two Two fearow barged in towards Ash.
"Sneaky little birds, " says Ash as he created aura arms coming out from his back that binded the two fearow before he slammed the two birds on ground. As his attention was on the two fearow , ten spearow made Pikachu as their target before they attacked the Pikachu with steel wing and grabbed him by tail taking him higher in the air. Pikachu unleashed the thunderbolt but it didn't impacted them
"I think these are stronger in the group. " says Ash as he heard Spearow saying " Leave our leaders, else we will kill him"
"You think so, your flock is a problematic species for the innocent trainer. I am Ash, and I can't tolerate this behavior from the pokemon like you. What are you doing is not good" says Ash
"Yeah, what are you doing is correct. You human take us away from our family when we are just little birds. Our life dependent on our parents , and you put us in cruel battles against the things we are weak too. Who you think you are ?"
"I agree that there are instances when humans are wrong, but they give you life , a new home to live. I agree that some of them put you against strong pokemon without your concern but that's not the case with every human. But why you attack kids who doesn't have to do anything with your flock" says Ash
"That's a revenge against humans. We hate humans especially trainers and what about our food. They catch our food, bugs and rats, and you think we will spare them. How would you feel if you are deprived of food you eat, and as a result we had to stay on vegan diet" says Fearow
"But going vegan is good right. " says Ash
"Shutup " says Spearow who caught Pikachu starts attacking him..
"I said leave him." says Ash as all of sudden Claydol sniped the two birds with gravity beam that made them knocked out instantly.
As Pikachu plummeted from the sky, Claydol quickly teleported beneath him, catching the electric mouse in its psychic grip. Just as they stabilized, a swarm of Spearow darted towards Claydol from all directions.
"There are fifty of them," Ash observed, eyes narrowing. "Claydol, use Energy Lance!"
Claydol's arms extended outward, forming an orb of thunder and psychic energy that crackled with power. With a swift motion, it unleashed a concentrated beam, slicing through the air. The Energy Lance struck the incoming Spearow, causing instant knockouts as they fell from the sky like stones.
The battle raged on for twenty minutes, but eventually, all the Spearow and Fearow lay fainted around them.
Ash wasted no time. He opened the bag of Poké Balls that Professor Oak had given him and swiftly captured all one hundred and fifty of the fainted Pokémon.
"Claydol, you were amazing. Our training paid off," Ash said with a proud smile. "Now, let's head back to the lab and ask Professor Oak about the next steps."
As Ash and Claydol made their way back, one Spearow, hidden far away, watched the scene unfold. Its eyes burned with anger as it thought, "It's better I stay hidden... but one day, I will take revenge on you, human.I need to find legendary Ho-oh "
"Ash you caught all of them" asks Professor Oak
"Yup, but why I do have a feeling that there are still few left which we didn't noticed" says Ash
"No need to be worry, if they attack anyone, we will take care of that. Right now Fearow was the main concern" says Oak
"So what you will do to them" asks Ash
"They will be sent to the pokemon rangers who will keep them in bird sanctuary, far away from human intervention " says Oak
"That is nice" says Ash
"By the way are you planning to leave for training trip. In six months you have to capture 3 pokemon of each type" says Professor Oak
"Actually Yes," says Ash
"Alright, I will raise your carry limit so that you can keep as many Pokémon as you want," Professor Oak said, adjusting the settings on Ash's battle pad.
Ash nodded, deep in thought. "Professor, instead of capturing fresh Pokémon, could you help me find abandoned ones that aren't native to Kanto?"
Oak looked up, intrigued. "Why do you want to do that, Ash?"
Ash smiled softly. "Many of my team members were abandoned, and by adopting more abandoned Pokémon, I can give them a good home. It also helps me understand them better. Being a trainer isn't just about catching new Pokémon—it's about forming strong bonds. I think I have a special connection with those who've been left behind."
Professor Oak's expression softened with pride. "That's a noble idea, Ash. I'll see what I can do. Meanwhile, why don't you take a trip? You might find abandoned Pokémon in the wild. I may not be able to get many, but you could encounter some on your journey."
"Sure, Professor. I'll do that," Ash agreed
Here's a revised version of the scene while keeping the dialogue and context intact:
--
Professor Oak adjusted his glasses, his tone serious. "Ash, I want you to stay here for the next month while I arrange for some abandoned Pokémon. You see, my colleagues across the globe run a foundation called Adopt the Needy, where they rescue and rehabilitate Pokémon who were abandoned by their trainers."
Ash nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I understand, Professor. I'll use this time to train the Pokémon I already have while you arrange the new ones. But I do have a request."
"What is it, Ash?" Oak asked.
"I need three Pokémon of each type, excluding Bug types," Ash explained. "I already have Pinsir, Butterfree, and Beedrill. Plus, I also have two Flying types. I'm planning to use these new Pokémon to win initial rounds without doing traditional Gym challenges. Could you focus on finding abandoned Pokémon of other types?"
Professor Oak gave a small smile and nodded. "Of course, Ash. I'll see to it."
Over the next month, Ash focused intensely on his training. Using his aura and chakra abilities, he honed his techniques and helped his Pokémon grow stronger. He worked closely with Pinsir, Pidgey, Aerodactyl, Metapod, Kakuna, and Pikachu, forming stronger bonds. During this time, both Metapod and Kakuna evolved, becoming Butterfree and Beedrill respectively.
One day, as Ash was perfecting a new aura technique, Delia came out of the house with a knowing smile. "Ash, I heard Professor Oak has been working hard to find you abandoned Pokémon."
"Yes," Ash replied, pausing his training. "I asked him to help because I feel a special connection to Pokémon who have been abandoned. They deserve another chance."
Delia's smile grew. "Well, he told me he's finished preparing your new team. Why don't you go check it out?"
Ash's face lit up. "Thanks, Mom! Let's go, Pikachu!" He dashed toward the lab, leaving Delia chuckling behind him.
"When will he learn to stay calm?" she muttered to herself.
Arriving at the lab, Ash burst in with excitement. "Professor, I heard you've got my new team ready!"
Oak chuckled, gesturing to a table filled with Pokéballs. "Yes, Ash. But before we go any further, I need to explain something important."
Ash leaned forward, curious. Oak continued, his tone more serious now. "Ash, first of all, I need to warn you. These Pokémon were abandoned because of their unique challenges. When my colleagues found them, they were in dire situations. Most of them had been mistreated or neglected and were extremely distrusting of humans."
"What happened to them?" Ash asked softly.
Oak sighed. "When they were offered to other trainers, they refused to cooperate and even attacked their new trainers. Many of them developed phobias—unique fears of their own types. The authorities in other regions even suggested putting them down, but my colleagues fought to give them another chance."
Ash clenched his fists. "That's awful. But don't worry, Professor. I'll make sure they feel safe and loved. I'll help them overcome their fears."
Oak nodded, a proud smile on his face. "I knew you would, Ash. These Pokémon are special, and with you, I believe they'll finally find the care they need."
The Professor revealed set of Pokéballs neatly lined up on the table. "Here they are, Ash. Three Pokémon for each type, except for Bug and Flying, as you requested. Just remember—they'll need time, patience, and understanding."
Ash smiled, determination shining in his eyes. "I'm ready, Professor. Let's get started."
Pikachu chirped a confident "Pika!" in agreement, and Ash began to prepare for the next step of his journey.
Ash is gathered in the ranch surrounded by his all pokemon. "Alright, gere are our new friends, are you ready to greet them, just be polite as they have rough past, they need a warm welcome"
Ash gently released the Pokémon into the open space of Professor Oak's ranch. The moment they emerged, chaos erupted. The emotional scars these Pokémon carried were immediately evident, each responding in a unique but heartbreaking way.
Alolan Vulpix limped out, its once-lustrous coat marred by burn marks. It whimpered softly, its tails curling tightly around its injured body, terrified of even the sunlight touching it.
Mime Jr., covered in faint scars, backed into a corner, waving its small hands frantically as if trying to shield itself. The faint sound of laughter from the other Pokémon caused it to tremble, haunted by memories of being mocked by its previous trainers.
Gothita stood frozen in fear, its wide eyes darting around as though expecting an attack. The mere movement of shadows sent it running aimlessly into a tree, causing it to collapse in fright.
Hatenna flinched at every sound, her psychic sensitivity overwhelmed by the commotion. She clutched her head, emitting faint pulses of energy in a desperate attempt to shield herself.
Togepi burst into tears the moment it emerged, its tiny body trembling as it scrambled for safety behind Ash, clinging to his pant leg with all its might.
Mawile emerged hesitantly, its second jaw covered in deep scars. It recoiled when another Pokémon approached, snapping defensively with its damaged jaw and retreating into a corner.
Beldum floated unevenly, the metallic sheen of its body dull and scratched. It emitted a faint, distorted sound, unable to maintain its balance due to damage from a previous battle.
Honedge hovered ominously, its blade chipped and dull. It emitted a low, eerie cry as it withdrew into its sheath, wary of everyone around it.
Mimikyu, its disguise tattered and torn, growled defensively, warding off even Pikachu with hostile swipes of its spectral claws. Its mistrust was palpable, its eyes glowing faintly with anger.
Duskull darted out immediately, its single glowing eye filled with menace. It swooped low, grazing Ash's shoulder in an attempt to frighten him.
Greavard emerged growling, its ghostly light flickering wildly. It barked sharply, snarling at everything that moved, as though warning them to stay away.
Cranidos, its rocky hide scarred with deep cracks, paced frantically, headbutting a nearby boulder in panic. It winced at the impact, shaking its head in pain.
Nosepass remained still, its body pockmarked from years of neglect. It vibrated slightly, emitting an unsettling hum as though trying to steady itself.
Tyrunt, normally bold, cowered behind its stubby arms. Its eyes darted nervously, and it let out low growls of distress, afraid of confrontation.
Drilbur flailed as it emerged, its claws worn down to blunt nubs. It burrowed into the ground but struggled to dig, its injured limbs giving out as it collapsed in frustration.
Cubone clutched its cracked bone club tightly, its helmet split along one side. It wailed mournfully, its cries piercing the air as though mourning its losses all over again.
Numel stumbled out slowly, its back covered in burns. It let out a pained groan as flames sputtered weakly from its hump, afraid of its own fire.
Skorupi scurried in circles, its damaged pincers clicking erratically. It recoiled from every shadow, jabbing defensively at the air.
Koffing, covered in soot and scratches, floated hesitantly. It coughed weakly, releasing small bursts of harmless gas, seemingly afraid of harming anyone.
Machop, its muscles bruised and bandaged, flinched at the sight of other Pokémon. It clenched its fists weakly but didn't move, too scared to fight.
Timburr held a broken log, its splinters digging into its palms. It looked around nervously, unsure where to go or what to do.
Pancham growled softly, holding its bent leaf in its mouth. Its wide eyes darted around as it backed away from the group, baring its teeth in fear.
Yungoos, its fur matted and dirty, hissed loudly, pacing back and forth as if trapped. It snapped at anyone who approached, its teeth chipped and dull.
Skitty, once cheerful, hid under a bush, its fur singed in several places. It let out pitiful mewls, refusing to come out even when coaxed.
Eevee, its tail limp and fur patchy, tried to blend into the grass. It darted between hiding spots, eyes wide with panic, as though expecting someone to attack.
Froakie hopped uneasily, its body scarred from burns. Froakie jumped higher in the air before releasing the water pulse at Ash. Gardevoir used telekinesis to deflect attack.
Frillish hovered close to the ground, its once-bright colors faded. It trembled whenever it drifted too close to the water, emitting soft, distressed cries and in turn shadow ball aimed at Pikachu. Pikachu deflected attack, his past experience kicked in and deflected attack with iron tail
Sobble curled into a ball, crying uncontrollably. It refused to look up, hiding its face behind its tiny arms and clinging to Ash when he approached.
Growlithe limped out with its fur singed and burned in patches. It let out a low whine, keeping its head low and avoiding any sparks or embers nearby.
Torchic, its feathers charred, stumbled as it emerged. It shuddered at the faintest trace of heat, its eyes darting in every direction for a safe escape.
Scorbunny, its bandaged legs trembling, flinched every time sparks crackled around it. It looked down at its feet, terrified of its own power.
Capsakid, its leaves torn and wilting, shuffled weakly. It avoided the sunlight, curling into a ball whenever anyone came near.
Pansage, its sprout drooping, refused to climb any trees. It sat motionless, trembling as it clutched a broken twig like a lifeline.
Grookey, its stick splintered, refused to drum at all. It crouched low, trying to hide its face, visibly shaking.
Alolan Raichu, its body scarred from electric burns, flinched at every crackle of static. It clutched its tail tightly, its ears drooping in fear.
Blitzle, its stripes faintly charred, refused to move, stamping nervously as sparks flickered weakly from its mane.
Toxel, pale and frail, cowered at the faintest sound of thunder, retreating behind Ash with a soft, frightened whimper.
Impidimp growled defensively, its body marked with scratches. It darted between hiding spots, avoiding eye contact with anyone.
Inkay, its tentacles damaged, spun in place as though disoriented. It glared at the others, mistrustful and unwilling to let anyone close.
Zorua trembled as it emerged, its fur ragged. It growled softly, creating faint illusions to hide itself from view.
Frigibax, its scales cracked, struggled to stand. It avoided other Dragon-types, clearly frightened by their presence.
Jangmo-o whimpered, the sound of its own scales clinking together making it flinch.
Axew, its tusks chipped, backed away from the group, clearly terrified of growing larger.
Bergmite shivered constantly, its icy body marked with deep cracks.
Cubchoo clung to Ash, its sniffling cries breaking his heart as it refused to leave his side.
"They suffered a lot Ash, they were abused by their trainers leaving them in distress. " says Oak from behind
Ash's heart ached as he took in the sight of his new Pokémon. Each one bore the marks of abuse and neglect, their fearful eyes and wounded bodies telling stories of pain and betrayal. He knelt down, holding his arms wide, his voice gentle and warm.
"It's okay now," Ash said softly. "You're safe here. No one will hurt you anymore. You're all part of our family now."
Pikachu stepped forward cautiously, his cheeks sparking gently, not as a threat but as a sign of reassurance. Gardevoir, standing by Ash, extended her calming aura, her presence radiating warmth and safety. Slowly, some of the Pokémon began to sense the sincerity in their new surroundings.
Professor Oak, nodded approvingly. "They've been through more than anyone should endure," he said, his voice tinged with sorrow. "But with your love and care, Ash, they'll heal. It won't happen overnight, but I know you can give them the life they deserve."
Ash turned to his other Pokémon, his gaze firm but kind. "Everyone, I need your help. These Pokémon need to know what it means to feel loved, to feel safe. Can I count on you all to help me show them that?"
Ash's current pokemon nodded and then Ash turned to the new pokemon. Ash gently picked the little Togepi and says " Listen Togepi, you are safe here and no one is gonna hurt you. " A blue aura enveloped Togepi making her calm down.
"See, no need to be scared" says Ash
"Toge priii" says Togepi before she drifted down into sleep
"So Ash, " says Oak from behind
"Yes Professor, " says Ash
"Are you planning to train them or give them some rest " asks Oak as Ash saw scared faces of new team.
"He is going to put us in training regiment" says Frigibax
"Not now Professor. I will bond with them" says Ash
"You must register them first before you start training them. It doesn't states that you can't train them to full potention post registeration" says Oak
"Sure professor. Post that I will embark on my own journey post registering and get my arena badges" says Ash
"Very well, for the registeration you must go to the Veridian City. I will raise your carry limit" says Oak
"Alright, I am going there" says Ash as he teleported away.
"When did he learned to teleport" asks Oak in confusion and so Ash's new pokemon.
In Veridian City Pokemon center Nurse Joy is on reception. Since it's afternoon, there is calm inside the center and all of sudden Ash teleports in
"Hey Nurse Joy, good to see you" says Ash
"Oh my Ash, what are you doing here, you gave me a panic attack. " asks Joy
"Sorry Nurse Joy, I wanted to keep practicing my skills and teleportation is cool. " says Ash
"Thank god that this is empty today else you could be in danger. So,how may I help you"
"I wanted to register for league and get arena badge." says Ash
"You got your team" asks Joy
"Yeah, I took help of Professor Oak. " says Ash as Joy nodded as she asked for details, pokedex and registered Ash. She gave the coin resembling unknown letter H. Coin is gold with silver highlights.
"Thanks, but I just wanted to confirm that I can train for next six months till league starts and if my team evolved then it won't be a problem" asks Ash
"No, as long as you evolved the pokemon naturally post registeration it won't be a problem" says Joy
"Thanks, will see you after six months." says Ash as he disappeared
Same night Ash is resting in his home. Already settled for dinner.
"Ash, it's a good news that you will embark on your journey to train new team but don't forget to call me everyday" says Delia
"No worries mom, I will call you. Who knows that I may encounter best trainer during my training. " says Ash
"Don't overuse your abilities Ash. We both
know that where there is good there is evil and you already put yourself in danger when you were small because of your eyes" says Delia
"I have control over it mom. And I have my pokemon to assist me" says Ash as Delia smiled and served the food.
Next day Ash is ready along with pokeballs. Since he is going to train in secluded area, he will carry all pokemon.
"Need to go mom. I will keep calling you. See you after six months." says Ash
"And don't put yourself in danger" says Delia as Ash nodded before he ran towards route 1.
Ash currently walking on Route 1 towards Mt. Moon where he will rest and then step out of region towards isolated island to train where he trained with Lance five years ago.
"Are you enjoying Togepi" asks Ash as Togepu chirped happily.
"Good to know that you are enjoying. " says Ash Togep chirped again.
