Chapter 19: The Same Problem on a Different Scale: The Trouble Is Now Doubled
At the Train Station
The area was deserted when the civilians fled, with the exception of the heroes who were currently facing their latest enemy.
"Sailor Moon Kick!..."Sailor Moon yelled as she leaped in the air.
She used her magically enhanced strength to deliver a devastating kick to a monstrous looking enemy. The kick made the locci fall back several feet, but he quickly recovered and tried to attack again.
However, someone else was ready with their own attack.
"Tuxedo Cane!..."Tuxedo Mask yelled as he used his cane to attack caught the enemy off guard.
The heroes were fighting against a locci, a being resembling a stage magician to be more precise. The latest villain stumbled back to his feet and refused to go down quietly, quite literally too.
"Kneel before Majisho and I may just show you all mercy!..."The evil doer from another time yelled before shooting an energy blast in the shape of spades and clubs from a playing card from his own cane.
Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars tried to counter the incoming attack with their own. However, the collision between multiple attacks caused an explosive shock wave that pushes all parties aback.
"I thought that Phantom said that the attack wasn't suppose to be until tomorrow!?..."Mars yelled looking ticked as she dodged another attack.
"I guess that they decided to show up early..."Mercury said as she used her Bubble Spray to defend the whole team.
"Whatever, let's show this evil doer what happens when bad guys try to endanger the innocent!..."Sailor Moon said as she took a step forward.
She glared at the latest villain that they were facing, and started to yell at him.
"Your plan of spreading untold doom of terror to our fair city ends here you villain. In the name of the moon, we shall punish you!..."Moon shouted, as she charged at Majisho.
She threw aher tiara to perform her classic Moon Tiara Action attack!
She managed to hit Majishoi head on, but he managed to block with his cane before snickering and wagging his finger disapprovingly.
"Foolish girl, you have no idea on what or who you're dealing with, nor do you even comprehend the glorious purpose that I am destined to achieve! Now... presto!..."Majisho said before disappearing in a poof of smoke and reappeared behind the other heroes.
"What the?!..."Moon shouted, but was soon struck.
"Sailor Moon!..."Tuxedo Mask shouted in worry.
Luna and Artemis, who were watching the entire battle from a higher vantage point, gasped in shock.
"Oh my goodness!..."The female cat exclaimed, worried for her.
"Not good!..."Artemis said, also worried for her.
The evil Majisho only grinned darkly, and began to gloat.
"I must say, it's quite an honor to make acquaintance in person, your majesty. Oh! Or do you prefer to be addressed by that ridiculous name, Tuxedo Jack?..."He said.
Tuxedo Mask looked angry.
"It's Tuxedo Mask!..."He shouted, irritated.
"And that pathetic alter ego of yours is precisely why I despise you! You wear the uniform of a proud and noble magician, but pretend to be some sort of superhero despite not having any powers to speak of. Unlike me!..."Majisho yelled while gesturing to himself.
"Let me show you what power I have!..."Tuxedo Mask shouted.
"And mine too!..."Sailor Moon yelled, only a magical playing card of some kind to land by her feet, piercing the ground and making her fall down again from the shock.
"Very well, have at thee..."Majisho yelled, ready to attack again.
However, before he could attack again, a green energy blast hit him from behind and sent him several feet away.
"BLAST!..."Majisho yelled.
"Huh?..."Moon asked as Tuxedo Mask helped her up.
They soon saw who it was that made the timely attack. Danny and the girls soon arrived to the battle field, and saw all the chaos ensuing.
"Oh man, what is that thing? And why is it dressed up like fancy magician?..."Danny asked as he saw the monster recovering from the blast he sent.
"It's one of the locci's and this one is just as dangerous as the last! And for some reason, he some some sort of personal vendetta against me! His jokes about my name are worse than yours!..."Tuxedo Mask yelled as he attacked by throwing roses like darts.
The Locci magician waves his cane and summoned a rode of multiple tied handkerchiefs that he twirled around to knock away the rose projectiles. All the while, he remained standing nonchalantly.
"I thought that the attack wasn't suppose to be until tomorrow at the earliest! The timing is way off!..."Danny said, shocked and wondering what had changed.
"Well, it looks like they decided to show up early..."Moon said.
"Whatever, that just means that we have to beat them to pulp now rather than later!..."Jupiter said, cracking her knuckles.
"Sounds good to me!..."Danny said, ready to fight.
"Me too!..."Venus said with a nod.
The Sailor Guardians then began to make their counterattack, with the two members who recently joined the battle began to take center stage. One of them took a step forward.
"I am the Pretty Guardian of Thunder and Courage, Sailor Jupiter. In the name of Jupiter, I'll fill you with regret, it'll leave you numb!..."Sailor Jupiter announced dramatically.
Danny saw this and was a bit curious about the heroic show-boating from his new super heroine friends, namely how all of them make introductions the same way.
"Why do these guys always make big speeches before they fight?..."He thought before he saw Jupiter shot up and charged at the locci.
"FLOWER HURRICANE!..."She shouted as she summoned a lightning attack, hitting the locci head on.
"GAHHHHHH!..."The evil locci yelped as he was being hit.
"Got you!..."Jupiter said, smirking.
Danny saw this and stared at Sailor Jupiter in awe and amazement at her combat prowess. Even if the attack's name didn't make a lot of sense to him at first, it still caught his attention.
"Wow. Cool..."He whispered, impressed.
Venus noticed Danny Phantom's reaction to her best friend's fighting skills and became rather jealous.
"I can just just as powerful and graceful too! I'm all about power and grace. In fact, I think I'll prove that to him right now!..."She thought as she decided to show off her own skills too.
The blonde heroine then charged to take center stage of the fight and wanted to make sure that she doesn't get out shined in front of the super cute teen American superhero. Especially not around Jupiter.
"I am the Pretty Guardian of Love and Beauty in a Sailor Suit! Sailor Venus! In the name of Love, I will punish you!..."Venus declared before she unleashed one of her own classic attacks.
"Crescent Boomerang!..."She yelled, preparing herself.
Venus used her Crescent boomerang and launched it right at the villain's head, causing it to bounce repeatedly across the walls and hitting the villain again a few more times before returning back to her hand. Not forgetting to strike a heroic pose too, she made sure to be in Danny's range of sight.
Danny saw her, impressed by what he saw from Sailor Venus.
"Nice shot..."He admitted.
Sailor Venus smiled at that.
"It's all in the wrist..."She said before going back to the fight.
The other Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask began sending their own attacks at the villainous magician before he had time to recover.
"Mars Snake Fire!..."Mars yelled as she created a snake out of fire that attacked her opponent.
"Wow...note to self, don't try to get on her bad side anymore..."Danny thought as he now knew better than to test Sailor Mars' angry.
"Shine Aqua Illusion!..."Mercury shouted as she threw a stream of water at the enemy and surrounded him with enough water to nearly drown him.
"Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber!..."Tuxedo Mask yelled as he fired a blast of energy from his hand.
The heroes kept firing at Majisho, but he simply refused to vanish into night as a pile of dust. He only scoffed at their attempts.
"Did you all think that the likes of me would be defeated by attacks of that caliber?! Ha! Don't insult me! Now to choose who to saw in half and NOT put back together!..."He yelled.
Tuxedo Mask frowned at how this magician refused to do a disappearing trick.
"Wonderful, he's even harder to deal with than a cockroach!..."He muttered.
"Then let's keep him in one spot and see just how long he can stay stay standing..."Danny said as he tried to create an opening for the others.
He sent an ice blast at the monster, who was too busy charging one of his blasts. One of the Sailor Guardians saw this and decided to stop the villain in his tracks.
"Let me show you my trick!..."Jupiter said, glaring at the magician wannabe.
"Oh, a lovely assistant?..." Majisho scoffed.
"SUPREME THUNDER!..."Jupiter said as she launches powerful electricity through the antenna on her tiara.
However, the locci had just the perfect counter to deflect this attack. He threw his top hat into the air as it enlarged and swallowed the lightning, flipped his hat and shot the bolt right back at the sender. All while doing a dramatic pose.
"Jupiter! Look out!..."Sailor Moon shouted in worry.
Thankfully, someone was there to help the tall heroine before it was too late.
"I got you!..."Danny shouted as he used a shield to protect Jupiter from the attack.
"Thanks..."Jupiter said, smiling at him.
"Superheroes gotta stick together, besides I know that you'd do the if our roles were reversed. No doubt..."Danny said as he smiled goofily for a moment.
He shook his head and tried to stay focused on the battle. Still, a part of him was still surprised with himself over what just happened and it's not just the battle in front of him that's got the ghost boy concerned. It's who he's with.
"First Makoto...then Minako...then Venus and now Jupiter? What the heck is going on with me?! I'm not even this girl crazy back home and how is my luck so much better in Japan of all places? Should I just retire here? After Houdini here disappears, that is..."He thought, recalling that they had a serious matter to deal with right now.
Like getting rid of this creep.
"Hey you Houdini wannabe has-been! How do you like my magic tricks?!..."Danny said, as he sent several ecto-blasts at the locci magician.
Which the villain surprisingly managed to dodge every ecto-blast as he laughed and mocked the heroic halfa for his terrible aim. Not knowing that Danny was deliberately missing on purpose as he led the bad guy into the attack range of another Sailor Guardian, was charging her finishing move.
"I'll show Phantom-san that she's not the only impressive one!..." She thought competitively.
"Crescent Beam Shower!..."Venus said as she caught the magician villain completely off guard.
She managed to land a hit and grinned in confidence.
"Score one for the power of love!..."She declared confidently while unknown striking a Sailor V pose.
However, she failed to see the opening cracks on the ceiling above her, especially as it broke into pieces.
"Venus! Look out!..."Jupiter shouted in worry.
Venus turned around and saw the blast that hit the concrete ceiling caused to small avalanche above Sailor Venus that was about to bury her alive.
"OH MY GOSH!..."She yelped, feeling like a deer that was freezes up when seeing headlights.
Fortunately, someone was fast enough to get to her.
"I got you!..."Danny shouted as he grabbed her and pulled her away from the attack in the nick of time.
Jupiter and the others saw this and were relieved.
"Thank goodness..."She said in relief.
"I'm glad she's alright..."Moon said, as the others nodded.
Luna and Artemis saw this and let out signs in reliefs.
"Thank goodness, I almost had a heart attack that could have ended all my nine lives..."The white cat said, clenching his fluffy chest with his cat paw.
"You do know that the nine lives thing is just a myth, right? Still, I can't blame you..."Luna said, sweat dropping a bit but she was glad that Venus wasn't hurt.
Danny had flown Venus to a more stable area and placed her down, being as gentle as he can.
"Are you okay?..."Danny asked, worried.
Venus just smiled at him and hadn't realized that her face blushed as red as her hair ribbon. She was just excited that she technically just got saved by her superhero crush and carried in a bridal fashion by him.
It was like a dream to her. To be held onto by a boy as handsome and heroic as him.
"I'm fine, thanks to you Phantom-san..."Venus said, smiling in a fangirly manner, clasping her hands in a love struck manner as her eyes sparkled.
Danny felt weak kneed at this and tried to play it off as no big deal.
"Oh...uh...I just did what anyone would have done..."He said, feeling really bashful right now.
"Still, it's no wonder that half the world think that your alleged reputation as a villain is clearly false..."She said, still a bit caught up in the moment.
Danny gulped at that.
"I should tell her about Makoto, but now isn't exactly the best time. I just need to remember to do that before she tries something..."He thought, hoping to end this love triangle quickly.
However, the blonde heroine then thought that this was her biggest chance yet and decided to go for broke. Pull him by one are, she made her move.
"Well...here's a little thank you for saving me..."Venus said as she got closer and planted a kiss on his cheek.
The incident made Danny freeze up.
"Wow!..."He thought, his brain stopping for a brief moment and as mouth cracked a small smile between his now pink cheeks.
The other heroes and the cats saw this and had varying reactions.
"Oh wow!..."Moon said, jaw dropped.
"So bold!..."Mercury said, unable to think of something smarter to say.
"No way!..."Mars said.
Tuxedo Mask was just stunned silent.
The cats were also reacting.
"Mina!..."Artemis said, since he sort of saw this coming sooner or later.
Still, he wished that she chosen a better time to try something like that than in the middle if a battle.
"That's quite the way to say thanks..."Luna said, blushing and sweat dropping a bit.
However, the one who was not as stunned was also the angriest right now. Jupiter saw this and glared at what happened.
"I don't believe this!..."She thought, feeling a bit frustrated and was about to take it out on the bad guy.
"EXCUSE ME! IN CASE YOU FORGOT, BUT WE STILL GOT A BAD GUY TO DEAL WITH!..."Jupiter yelled at that.
Danny snapped out of the trance he was in and realized what was happening...and that Jupiter seemed mad right now.
"R-Right. Sorry..."He stammered, pulling away.
Sailor Venus pouted for a quick second but ultimately agreed since the battle wasn't over yet.
"Let's just beat this bad guy, before he tries to pull another Houdini act!..."Danny said, as he wanted to put an end to the villain sooner rather than later.
"Do you mean something like this?!..." The Locci Magician shouted as he managed to pull a golden chainsaw out of his top hat to attack the ghost hero from before like he did to him earlier.
Except that he wouldn't get the chance, since one Sailor Guardian had managed to strike the bad guy with a powerful attack before he could do anything.
"JUPITER COCONUT CYCLONE!..."Jupiter shouted as she sent out a high-voltage electric energy ball aimed squarely at the villain.
"Cool...weird name...but still really cool..."Danny admitted, as he witnessed an awesome attack with a confusing sounding name.
The others joined back in the fight as the villain was now on the back foot. He now found himself surrounded.
Though Majisho still had some fight left in him, which only prolonged the battle further. However, a few Sailor Guardians didn't completely have their heads in this fight.
Namely two females.
Jupiter saw Danny Phantom and frowned, though she wasn't sure why yet though.
"I see Venus is done thanking you..."She said, sounding a bit jealous right now.
Danny cringed with a nervous smile tried to explain himself to her.
"I swear...I didn't expect her to do...you know...that!..."Danny said.
Jupiter let out a breath in irritation.
"I believe you...I saw that whole thing...but you didn't look like you hated it. Just remember to be frank with her later and clear..."She said.
"Yes, Ma'am..."Danny said, feeling small right now.
"Wow, so forceful... that's kinda hot..." He thought in the back of his head.
Recalling that they were still in battle, the ghost boy shock his head and get back into the fight as he also decided to regain the bad guy's attention.
"Hey, Houdini's fanboy! Don't forgot about us!..."Danny said, as he fired a pair of twin ecto blasts with both hands.
"SUPER SUPREME THUNDER!..."Jupiter said, summoning green lightning from her tiara's antenna, summoning an even more powerful version of her attack.
Majisho managed to back away from the two shots before knocking the lightning back with a swing of his cane.
"CRESCENT BEAM!..."Venus said, firing a beam of light from her finger tip.
After seeing this, Danny made a mental note to come up with names for his other attacks like his Ghostly Wail.
"Maybe I can start calling my ecto blasts "Phantom Beams" or something like that..." Danny thought to himself, as he remembered something else that he wanted to ask Sailor Jupiter.
"Uh...I know now isn't the best time...but why call that attack Coconut Cyclone?..."He couldn't resist asking.
"Promise me that you won't laugh when I tell you?..." Jupiter asked.
"I promise..." Danny said as he shook his head in sincere agreement.
"I came up with it while playing a fighting RPG at the arcade..." Jupiter said before she slapped her face to refocus on the battle.
"Huh? Cool..."Danny said, not sure what else to say.
"We really should be forcing on taking down this bad guy, not why we name our attacks the way we do..."Jupiter pointed out, reminding him of the danger.
"Right..."Danny nodded as he got his game face back on.
Once they got back into the fight, the villainous magician was finally reaching his limits and standing on his last legs.
The heroes continued to fight and kept putting on the pressure by not letting the Locci magician get a moments rest or even time to make a counterattack. Once they saw that victory was almost within reach, the others decided to throw in their own respective finishing moves too.
"Venus Wink Chain Sword!..."Venus shouted, as she used her sword of light to attack the villain.
She launched her sword of light towards the villain and the locci magician had been skewerd by it. This gave Sailor Jupiter and Danny Phantom the perfect opening they needed to shoot their own attacks at the bad guy.
"SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!..."She shouted.
"PHANTOM BEAM! WORKING NAME!..."Danny shouted, as he fired a ghost ray and wanted to see how this attack name seemed.
The locci soon saw that he was being overwhelmed and could feel parts of himself burning away.
"IMPOSSIBLE! THIS WAS TO BE MY FINEST PERFORMANCE!..."He thought as he decided to make a last minute strategic retreat.
"I must exit the stage! But be warned Sailor Guardians and whoever that boy in black in white is! None of you realize that all this is merely just the beginning. I will return! So for my final trick for this show!..."The evil locci shouted as he reached deep into his top hat.
The villain used his spacious top hat to pull out a smoke grenade to cause a cloud of smoke to surround himself, while vanishing without a trace once the smoke cleared. He was no longer here, he escaped.
"Darn it, I can't believe that walking pile of pricy clothes got away!..."Danny said, frustrated.
"At least no innocent people got hurt..."Moons said, trying to look on the brighter side.
"True...but we still need to regroup, check our own potential wounds and reassess our situation..."Mercury said, signaling everyone else to retreat and recover.
All the other heroes agreed with her, since the battle was a bit tougher then they all first thought it'd be. Luna and Artemis then got out of their hiding space and saw the damage.
"I sure hope that they're insured..."Artemis said.
"I just hope that hope that they won't blame all this damage on the girls..."Luna said as they all make their way out of the now battle damaged train station.
Any potential lawsuit someone would want to place on them would have to wait.
Later
The Sailor Guardians recovered from the attacks, but it was clear they were still unsettled from the experience. They were still a bit of shock by the villain's surprise attack.
"That was shockingly tough..."Sailor Moon commented.
"I can't believe that was just one of them, and we were woefully unprepared! We were even caught off guard so easily back there!..."Mars said, angry.
It was then Danny noticed both she and Tuxedo mask were eying him angrily.
"Something you both want to vent at me for?..."Danny asked in a semi-joking manner.
"You lied to us!..." Mars shouted.
"Huh?..."The ghost boy responded with a dumbfounded expression.
"How could you have gotten the date of the villain's arrival wrong?!..." Both Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Mars confronted the ghost boy about.
"I didn't, I just repeated what I was told when they'd show up. Something must've changed, but I don't know what..." Danny defended himself.
"A rather convenient excuse! You said they'd arrive much later than that! Either you lied to us or you got the date wrong!..." Mars shouted.
"Best explain yourself!..." Tuxedo Mask calmly demanded as he glared behind his mask.
"Okay... first of all, I'm just the messenger here. I was told this... I didn't make any predictions, I didn't even know what these things looked like, I was just told to warn and help you, that's it! If you got issues with the info being wrong, then you go to the Ghost Zone and complain to Clockwork! Second, did you see a whole team or whatever?! No! That was just one creep, that's it! That clearly wasn't the full force invasion I was warned of!..." Danny snapped.
Before any in-fighting could continue, Sailor Mercury stepped in the two's path.
"Hold on, you two..." Mercury said, acting as the intermediary between them.
"Mercury, you can't seriously be defending him, can you?!..." Mars questioned.
"He's not wrong. As powerful as that being was, that couldn't be the big threat if we were still able to stop it..." Mercury said.
"Yeah, that's right! We still won..." Moon went.
"The bad guy got away!..."Mars yelled at her.
"But we stopped him before he hurt anyone! I count that as a victory!..."Moon yelled at her, as she and Venus stood by Phantom's side.
"And Phantom-san helped us!..." Venus went.
Jupiter then stood in front of Danny to protect him.
"That's right and he helped protect me and Venus during the fight. He's on our side. So, if you want to start a fight with him, you'll have to go through me!..." Jupiter insisted in a strangely protective manner.
"You'd have to go through all of us!..." Venus went in a similar manner.
Seeing they were clearly with odds against them, Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Mars dropped it.
"Fine... I know when I'm clearly in the wrong..." He said in defeat.
"That still doesn't explain what that one was doing here..." Mars said.
"Either that was some kind of scout or Phantom's presence might have altered history and caused their plans to speed up..." Mercury theorized.
"I don't think that last one is it..." Phantom said, getting their attention. "That guy clearly didn't know me, so it's not that..."He considered.
"True... so that might have been just an early arrival. Which means the real fight hasn't started yet..." Mercury said.
"So there's more like that guy out there? Coming for us?..."Venus asked, looking worried.
This news brought an uneasy feeling amongst Japan's heroes and even the ghost boy felt a bit concerned too, until someone who refused to give up hope spoke up.
"Stop. What matters is that we're all still okay and that we'll be ready the next time that bad guy or any more shows up..."Sailor Moon declared, clearly wanting to do more and keep the fighting amongst themselves to a minimum.
Not to mention, keeping everyone's spirits up.
Sailor Moon's mysterious ability of never giving up and always lighting up hope in the hearts of everyone, especially her friends, was certainly something truly admired about her.
It made them forget she's usually a crybaby. However, she soon got a phone call and saw that it was her mother.
"Oh no..."She thought, panicking right now.
"What's wrong?..."Danny asked, and the leader of the Sailor Guardians sent a nervous smile.
"Uh...sorry, gotta take this..."She said as she went several feet away in another direction to answer her phone call.
"Uh...hello..."She said nervously, only to be bombarded with yells from her angry mother.
"Usagi, where are you?! It's almost dinner time and your room is still a mess! I also found the laundry hasn't been put away at all! You better have a good explanation for this!..."Her mother yelled angrily.
"Uh...uh...there is, I made a new friend and we're hanging out with the rest of my friends. We were just having some much that we lost track time, that's all..."Moon stammered nervously, trying her best to come up with a reasonable excuse.
Her mother still wasn't satisfied.
"I don't want to hear any of your excuses! All I heard is that you're goofing off again! Now come home right now or you can forget about having any dessert tonight!..."Her mother warned.
"Aw, mom, give me a break!..."Moon whined, as she knew that she had to get home before she gets herself into any more trouble.
Danny, unaware of what the phone call is about, let out a breathe of relief now that he wasn't being blamed for the mistake on the dates.
However, the other heroines soon got messages and remembered about their respective personal civilian lives...as well as their respective parents and responsibilities that they had to attend to.
"Oh my...I just remembered...I need to get started preparing for from cram school tomorrow...not to mention Mom will have a fit if she comes home and I haven't done my homework yet..."Mercury thought, worried.
"Grandfather really needs to mind his manners and behave around women or he is gonna drive more people away from the temper..."Mars thought, irritated after seeing the message from her grandfather.
"We have to go. We have to do some super secret Sailor Guardian stuff that we have to go deal with...the kind that have nothing to do with the locci's and that you don't need to worry about Phantom-san..."Moon declared, as she looked at the others for help at making a good excuse to leave.
"Yeah, I have to leave to make some recalculations of our odds against the enemy..."Mercury said, knowing that she can do that later after cram school.
"But what about us? What if another one of those locci things show up tonight?..."Danny asked.
"We'll keep in contact with you and call you when we need you for training or deciding what to do next..."Jupiter said, making sure that Danny didn't think that they were all ditching him or anything else like that
The ghost boy nodded, and the tall Sailor Guardian smiled.
However, on the inside, she was feeling conflicted about some certain things. Mainly the kiss that Sailor Venus planted on Danny Phantom's cheek and why it made her feel irritated at the display of affection.
"I know Minoko and I are best friends, but why does seeing her kiss Danny Phantom bother me so much?..."She thought, knowing that she didn't hate either of the for it, but she couldn't help feeling a pin in heart when she saw that Danny had a small smile after that kiss.
However, she didn't know the reason why...or she didn't want to admit to the reason why.
The tall girl kept walking away, trying to best to clear her thoughts and emotions.
"Maybe they all had secret identities like I do and need to balance their respective personal lives with their heroine lives...or maybe they really mean what they say..."Danny thought, deciding to just trust their word.
Once everyone gave a somewhat reasonable excuse to leave, each hero left to deal with their respective personal civilian lives.
Soon, everyone was gone, except for Danny and Venus. He noticed that they were all alone at the moment and felt awkward right now.
"Uh...well, I'd better go too..."Danny said, as he began to fly away, but Venus grabbed onto his arm.
"Hey wait, can I talk to you for a moment?..."Venus said, as she pulled him back.
"Uh...sure, I don't see why not..."Danny said, still feeling a little awkward right now.
"Goody..."Venus said, smiling and beaming with small bit of joy that he didn't refuse her.
"I wonder what she specifically wants to talk to me about? Though I have a feeling I already know what..."Danny thought, wondering if he made the wise choice here.
But the ghost boy was willing to give Sailor Venus the benefit of the doubt, since he had no reason to doubt her in the first place. However, the pretty blonde heroine held onto his arm in a coquette manner and tried charming him again.
"Come on. I know a great sushi restaurant that's still open and not too crowded. Why don't we go have a date there and get to know each other? I'm sure that some more stuff that you and I have in common than the superhero stuff. Heck, I'll even let you pick the next place to get dessert. What do you say?..."Venus said, winking at him.
Danny blushed at that.
"Oh! So that's what she wanted from me. I should have known. Geez, what do I do?..."He thought, as he took a step back from her.
He decided to just let her down gently.
"Venus...you are definitely...unique and probably someone that I'd love to hang out with during normal circumstances...but I really should go right now. I...uh...got some ghostly business to take care of in town..."Danny said, trying his best to let her down easy.
Venus pouted, but then had an idea pop into her head and smiled.
"Are you sure that there's not other way that I can personally thank you for saving me? Are you REALLY sure about that?..."She said sweetly, fluttering her eyes at him.
Danny gulped and can feel his heart beating out of his chest as she kept acting in such a coquette manner around him.
"Super hot blonde girl who is into me. Any other time, I'd kill for this but...Makoto is more of my type and is someone I really want to get to on a more personal level. I'd better just tell her that while I'm flattered, I don't see us as anything more than friends and allies..."He thought, as he decided to just rip the bandaid off and be frank with the pretty blonde sailor guardian about how he really feels.
However, before he could, the blonde heroine in a short skirt then had an idea of her own that she really wanted to try out.
"Well, all I wanted to do was to got to know you better and show a bit of my gratitude towards you...as well as show you how much fun we can have together. Oh well, I guess this can't be helped. Still, let me at least give you a special thank you before you go. You did, after all saved me...twice..."She said, sending him a flirty look.
Danny, who wasn't very experienced with being the hit on by girl who was anything like Sailor Venus before, felt his knees getting weak again. And it wasn't getting any better.
"You...uh...already thanked me earlier..."Danny said, walking backwards as she approached the ghost boy with every sultry step she walks towards him.
"Yeah, but I think that words alone wasn't enough to properly show you my gratitude. It's like that old saying "words can't speak louder than actions"..."She said playfully.
"I think you mean "Actions speak louder than words"..."Danny corrected, but still felt nervous around her.
"Yeah, that works too. Besides, I think that I know a way to best show you just how...nice spending time with me can be like..."She said coyly as she unintentionally cornered him by having Danny slowly walks backwards to a wall.
"Uh...well...I...uh..."He stammered, too distracted by Sailor Venus to remember that he can phase through walls.
The ghost boy had a hard time thinking clearly as his eyes were locked with the beautiful blonde girl in a sailor uniform staring back at him. It got worse...or better depending on how you saw it, as she inched closer with that same look on her face.
Venus then laid her hands on his shoulders, making the ghost boy nervous and shaky as she slowly leans forward, her intentions clear.
"W-Wait! V-Venus?!..."He tried, yet failed to make his own intentions clear to her.
Unfortunately, she misunderstood his nervousness for being too shy to admit his feelings for her. She giggled and inched her face closer.
"It's okay... I like you too..." She said sweetly, as her lips glimmers in the moonlight
Before Danny could clarify what he meant, her lips reached his.
"Oh man!..."Danny thought as his entire face turned red at the kiss.
He froze, unable to form any thoughts as she kissed him sweetly as his mind raced a mile a minute.
"Oh... I've been kissed by both of them. All in one night too..." He thought in excitement and dread as he just froze there as the blonde heroine continued her affectionate act.
After about 10 seconds, she pulled away with a small but audible "muah". Once she was done, she hugged him happily as he remained still, his face as red as the skirt of Sailor Mars.
"I kissed Phantom-san! Alright!..."Venus thought in triumph, blushing and smiling a lot right now.
However, the ghost boy was having different thoughts right now.
"Error. Error. An error has occurred with Danny . Now rebooting with updated Danny mainframe!..."The ghost boy thought, so shocked by what had just happened that his mind was like a computer that just crashed.
Venus, unaware of what the half ghost teen hero was thinking, planted another kiss, this time on the cheek and hugged him once more. She wanted to stay, and maybe try frenching next but she knew that she can't keep him here for too long if he really is expected elsewhere.
So, she decided to end this on a good note.
"Until we meet again tomorrow, Phantom-san. Call me and let's set up a real date for after we defeat the loccis and celebrate..."She said, winking at him.
Danny was silent, no words could form as he mind was still processing what had just happened. All he processed was the kiss.
Venus giggled, unaware of what was going through his mind, and planted another, shorter kiss on his other cheek before she walked away with a sway in her hips. She did, however, glanced over her shoulder and sent another flirtatious look to the ghost boy.
"Bye bye, Phantom-san. I'll be seeing you real soon..."She said before she left, but not before blowing a final kiss for good measure.
Once she was gone, Danny was still standing there, frozen and trying to keep up with what he just experienced. There was joy and horror mixed inside of him from what just happened. He wondered if this was a dream and even pinched himself, but it was all too real.
After what felt like a long time, he shakily touched his lips and was still processing what the heck just happened to him.
"I...I just got kissed...by TWO Sailor Guardians...and all in the same day too! This is somehow the greatest and worst moment of my life!..."He thought, unable to believe this and feeling torn right now.
He wondered to himself just how he managed to get himself in this emotionally conflicted situation and just somehow got himself into some very real girl trouble right now, the very kind he'd never expected himself to ever get into.
He may have just dug himself into a very complex situation, one that he'll need to figure out how to handle on his own.
"I think Venus is... really that into me! Jupiter too, given how she acted. Oh crud! Jupiter, Venus! Venus, Jupiter! Then there's Makoto... and Minako! Flying faster than a living space shuttle never made me this exhausted or stressed! But here I am going through a real life anime cliche and I'm completely lost on how this all happened to begin with!..." He said to himself as he paced back and forth, hands in his hair.
With a deep breath, he managed to mostly calm himself down.
"Okay... talk to Makoto and then Venus... then everything will be alright... I hope..."He thought, hoping that he was making the right choice here.
Danny soon left the area, still in a disbelieving trance as he was unconsciously phasing through solid objects. He now had two guardians genuinely into him and two normal girls in a similar enough situation, all unaware they're all the same people.
The ghost boy didn't know that, he just knew that what started as a simple team up mission in Japan, turned into a VERY complicated teen drama for him. He is also unaware that this was just the beginning of a VERY complicated double love-triangle that he was going to be a part of now.
Unknown to the ghost boy, someone else had watched the battle from a distance, a certain pink haired girl who had a pair of binoculars with her as she had just seen the whole thing.
"Just what is going on here? No one ever told me about him before, or the locci invasion? So why are they here? And why was I never told about him being involved with Makoto and Minako?!..."She thought in distress, before she realized that she had to get back home before Usagi does.
She didn't like how everything was playing out, since none of this known to her and the only person who could possibly answer her many questions has been unresponsive since she first got here.
Now Chibi-Usa was at a lost on what to do.
However, she noticed that it was getting late and had to get home before she got an earful from her "Aunt Ikuko", just like Usagi is getting right now.
Meanwhile
In the Ghost Zone
Clockwork and his guest both saw the accidental kiss between Danny and Jupiter, and the mostly one-sided kiss between Danny and Venus.
The time master chuckled slightly, amused by this.
"I see that Danny is getting along rather well with the girls. He's quite the ladies' man outside of Amity Park..."He said, chuckling.
Pluto did not too look amused, by what's been shown through Clockwork's time window. In fact, she sent him an annoyed look right now.
"When you said he'd be of help, I did not think you meant this kind of help..."She said, arms crossed.
The time master then stared into the time window and showed no signs of panic...or any visible emotions. Instead, he had a knowing nod to indicate he wasn't worried.
"Everything will work out just fine. All will play out as it should. Trust my judgement..."He said before making eye contact with his lovely guest.
"Just know that if I sense any signs of this timeline going too off course then I will have no choice but to deal with your friend personally, not to mention that I will hold you responsible for any harm that befalls the Guardians or Small Lady..."She said.
"I know...but then again...I know all..."Clockwork said with a smirk, before resuming his watching over all of time.
"Must you always be this smug as you are vague?..." Sailor Pluto jokingly asked.
"Yes..." He said flatly.
The two continued to watch the events unfold, as certain upcoming events really will make rather drastic changes and alterations to this timeline's future.
