Chapter 20: Chibi-Usa's Dilemma: A Drastic Change in the Sailor Guardian's Future
In Amity Park
Jasmine Fenton was home alone right now.
She was currently in her room, reading one of her many psychology books. The red haired girl was very engrossed in her reading when she suddenly got a phone call.
She saw that it was her parents and soon answered it.
"Hello..."Jazz said.
"Hey Jazzerincess..."Jack's voice was heard.
"Hey Dad. How's the haunted hotel?..."Jazz asked.
"I can see why there's a ghost, the room service tastes awful..."Jack answered.
"And the beds are as comfy as rocks!..." Maddie was heard calling out form the background.
"So, how's Danny?..."The Fenton father asked.
"Oh...he's out right now. Probably with Sam and Tucker..."Jazz lied, covering for her brother yet again.
"Well, as long as he knows what to do when there's a ghost..."Jack said in his usual manner.
Suddenly, Jazz heard a screeching noise on the other end and got worried.
"What was that?..."Jazz asked suspiciously.
"Uh oh...I might have... blown a hole into someone's bathroom..."Jack said in a frantic voice, before someone else started yelling.
"HEY! Someone must really want a lawsuit!..."An angry voice was heard in the background.
"Gotta go Jazzy. Gotta run away and make sure that they can't pin this on us. You make sure that Danny gets home safe and by curfew! BYE!..."Jack said before hanging up.
Jazz heard this and shook her head.
"Hard to do, given where he went..."She muttered before placing the phone down.
She checked the time and saw that it was morning time right now. She knew that in Japan, it must be quite late right now since it's 14 hours ahead of Amity Park.
"I hope that Danny is at least making new friends..."She thought, before she went back to her book.
She just hope that her brother was okay and no trouble was brewing.
Meanwhile
In Japan
Danny had returned to his motel room, but he was still in a daze.
He was still recovering from that unexpected kiss from Sailor Venus. That was surprising enough, but earlier he had that accidental kiss with Jupiter and his nerves were still shaken up from both events happening so soon from each other. The very feeling of their lips still on his.
Needless to say, he was pretty much conflicted right now.
His mind was still on his unforgettable moments with both sailor guardians and the unexpected kisses. The ghost boy was still baffled by the experience he just had.
"I can still feel them..."He thought, touching his lips in shock, marvel and bewilderment.
He honestly did not expect anything like this and wasn't sure what to think or how to feel about both events. He was conflicted about the whole situation and just knew he needed to get out of his thoughts.
"What am I gonna do? How do I let Venus down gently now? How should I act around them the next time I see them? And how am I going to explain myself to Makoto if she finds out about this?..."He thought as he started to feel guilty and conflicted over what happened.
He also felt a little a shamed for being kissed by so many girls when he already has one that he want to get to know on a personal level, and he felt bad for letting things get this complicated like this.
He thought about both kisses, kisses with beautiful, powerful and famous super heroines...which is pretty much what any guys dream happening during their lifetimes.
But he ended up with two of them, one just a friend and respected ally and the other a bit too eager to win his heart.
He thought about the accidental kiss with Jupiter and the mostly one sided kiss with Venus. His face was still flushed and nothing he did could stop it.
He's conflicted with his feelings for both girls and both kisses.
"What am I gonna do? I know that I like Makoto, but now this? I haven't even held her hand yet and I already feel like I'm already going behind her back and cheating on her..."He repeated in his head as he thought about the accidental kiss with Jupiter and the spontaneous kiss from Venus.
Danny knew that those kisses weren't really his doing, but he also knew that it wasn't fair to Makoto either if he wanted a chance with her.
He felt a mixture of confusion, guilt and the tiniest bit of excitement caused his face to still feel like he pressed it on a hot surface.
He knew he didn't hate the kisses, but did he like it?
He didn't know. He certainly didn't dislike them.
There were positives... but it didn't change that there was one girl he did want to kiss and neither of them were her. It was like his heart and mind couldn't come to an agreement with the way things are turning out.
He knew how he felt, he just didn't know the exact words for it. He wasn't sure what else there was to say about it.
"I mean, I didn't hate it...Jupiter was an accident, but I definitely didn't hate it. But I'm betting my whole comic collection Venus sure liked it at least, that much was obvious. Anyway, this is gonna make talking to her harder..."He thought as his teenage mind tried to make sense of all of this.
He took a deep, long breath to try and soothe his restless thoughts.
He wished that he had an answer. That kiss, while not the worst thing he's experienced, left him feeling unsure.
He tried listening to his heart, but right now it was unclear about who it was beating the most for and his mind was in no better position to be of assistance either.
It was like his heart knew something that his mind simply didn't. Whatever it was, wasn't so clear to the our half ghost hero right now to say the least and made Danny unsure if he could trust it whole-heartedly.
"Well, on the plus side, I have more than one option for a prom date..." He muttered bitterly, knowing this won't be resolved easily.
Before he could think about it any further, he heard some ringing from his phone. He got a phone call from his sister Jazz.
"Hi Jazz..."Danny answered.
"Hi Danny. Dad just called. Good news, he and Mom still don't know about your "crime fighting abroad", bad news, there might be a potential lawsuit in the future..."Jazz explained.
"What else is new?..."Danny said as he shook his head, knowing how his parents antics tend to make few friends.
"So, how's everything in Japan?..."She asked.
"Still standing, at least..."Danny said as they began to talk.
"I'm guessing whatever it is you're supposed to help them fight off hasn't happened yet..." Jazz suggested.
"Technically, it has. Just a small sample, the main course is on its way no doubt..." He said, as they chatted for a few minutes before noticing the time.
"Alright... well, I'm guessing you're trying to get some sleep now with the time difference... so, good night and sleep tight..." Jazz said.
"Okay, night Jazz..."Her brother said.
Danny soon hung up and laid on the motel's bed.
His mind went back to his predicament with the two sailor guardians and how to handle them with a groan.
"Wonderful. I like Makoto, accidentally kissed Jupiter and...it was kinda pleasant and nice..in an incredible way that I can't describe yet, but I didn't hate it. I got hit on and went on a surprise date with Minako and I got kissed by Venus...all in less than one week. When did my life get so much more complicated than it usually does? At this rate, I'm probably gonna have to give one of them a class ring like my dad did with Sam's name on it. Speaking of which, where did Sam put that thing?..."He wondered before he shook that away.
"Regardless, none of this is fair to Makoto. I mean...she's not my girlfriend but...I like her and I don't wanna be one of those jerks who leads girls on..."He thought, hating this but he knew that he still had other things to worry about.
Such as the locci invasion that they will be facing tomorrow...and his drama with the pretty superheroes who he somehow got involved with, and his new female friends who had treated him so kindly all this time.
"On second thought, rings are the least of my problems. Right now, I need to be much more concerned about the safety of everything in this town. Can't worry about girls if there's no girls left..."He thought, rubbing his head.
He wanted to get things taken care of. He also ask Clockwork if he foresaw all this from that start and ask why he couldn't warn him about it sooner.
Sitting on his bed, he huffed.
He didn't know else what to do as he chose to resolve this issue later and hope a solution comes soon.
"I'd better get some sleep..."He thought, knowing that what matters first is defeating their enemies first and bringing peace back to this town.
However, another thought came to his head.
Mainly a certain someone with beautiful reddish-brown hair in a ponytail styled that was held up by a green hair tie and is also always seen wearing pink rose earrings, who he wished to see again.
The same one who both rescued him from thugs when they first met and has since treated him like an equal.
Danny picked up his phone and recalled Makoto.
"I still need to talk to her...maybe come clean with what happened. I'd rather she hear it from me then find out from someone else. We might not be dating now, but I need to be fair with her..."He thought as he decided to send her a text message.
"Hey, how's it going? All good in your neighborhood..."He wrote, thinking that didn't sound overly friendly.
He changed the message and typed something that he hoped was better and more sincere as she asked her to see him again soon. He soon sent the text message, hoping that she'd answer and that she wouldn't decline his invitation.
"She'll probably see it in the morning..."He whispered, hoping that she'll reply to him soon.
The ghost boy decided to get some rest right now, knowing that he will need it.
"Maybe as soon as the bad guys are gone, Clockwork teleports me home before I can even tell Venus that as nice as she is, I can't be a thing with her. I need to tell her that there's someone else and I can hopefully let her down gently. I really hope that she won't be too hurt when I tell her the truth. That somehow worries more more than those monster guys we're dealing with..."He thought as he laid on his bed, feeling tired.
He soon fell asleep, as his vision slowly and calmly went blurry as he closes his eyelids and drifts off to sleep.
He didn't know that things would be going in a different route soon. One that would make things... less easy
Elsewhere
Minako was now home, ignoring her mother's scolding as she went to her room. She had something else on her mind.
The pretty blonde girl was in a happy daze, as she was still thinking over fighting alongside the current love of her life...and the kisses she shared with Danny Phantom.
Minako squealed and blushed deeply, pretty much skipping with every step she takes in her own bedroom as she recalled the incident.
"I actually managed to kiss Phantom-san! My dream came true! It was better than I imagined!..."She said blissfully, touching her lips in glee.
She bit her lower lip and could still taste and feel his lips on hers. It made her giddy as she remembered the feelings she experienced earlier.
That kiss replayed in her mind over and over again and she lost track of how many times she rewind that memory in her head. She was pretty much ignoring the rest of the world right now as she walked into a wall, before laughing nervously.
"Guess I got too wrapped up in the moment. But can anyone really blame me after what happened to me? It was just the moment I got to kiss my superhero crush not once, but multiple times! Sure the other two were on the cheeks but still!..."She thought, face turning red as she made joyful noises as she covered her face with her hands.
Not even that could stop her from feeling so happy.
The blonde girl was in her own head, still on cloud 9 over the fact that she kissed a very cute guy and the same guy she saw as a potential future boyfriend. At this rate, she was certain that he'll be her boyfriend at this point. Perhaps more so.
Perhaps, if things progress, she would be a future Mrs. Phantom.
"I can't seem to calm down after that incredible kiss. Definitely a great first kiss to remember. It was so exciting and Phantom-san is such a good kisser! And that look in his eyes once we finished! Aw, tomorrow can't come soon enough. I wait to see him again. I bet we'll go steady soon..."Minako thought, blushing deeply.
She sighed dreamily as she wrote down the events in her diary, grinning all the while as she let the kiss invade her thoughts.
"Beautiful. Unforgettable. Spectacular! Better than I imagined!..."She whispered, pretty much gone right now.
Her smile grew as she turned to rest on her back.
Minako tried to close her eyes and get the incident out of her mind before she emotionally wore herself out, but immediately hugged her stuffed doll of Danny Phantom that she hid beside her in bed, the very moment that the ghost boy entered her mind once more.
"I can't stop thinking about that wonderful kiss. I wonder if Phantom-san is thinking about it too. I bet he can't get me out of his head!..."She mused, before giggling as she thought about him.
The blonde girl sighed as she barely noticed how late it was getting. She only noticed one of the news paper clippings that she had of Phantom and she couldn't resist kissing it, wondering if the real Phantom felt it.
"For you, my love. I can be patient for our next kiss, when we have no evil to get in our way. I wonder if you will be as patient as me or maybe you will be the one to make the first move next time..."She thought as she continued writing in her dairy.
The lovesick blonde girl sat back up. She smiled once more, looking forward to seeing him again and to kiss him once more.
"I can't wait to see him again. I'll have to think of the right words to express my real feelings to him. Or I could just kiss him again. That works. If he plays his cards right, I might have enough confidence to french kiss him too..."She thought in a lovesick manner, looking forward to admitting her love for him once more.
Artemis arrived home and had an exhausted look on his face.
"Man, I'm dead tired..."The white cat said, as he walked inside Minako's room but he noticed her on her bed.
"Minako?..."The cat called out, but his owner/partner didn't seem to listen to him.
"Mina?..."He asked again, but was still ignored as she seemed to be lost in some kind of daydream.
He also noticed that she was oddly happy and she was humming as she looked at her diary. The white cat raised a brow at that.
"Uh...Mina? Mina? Hello? Anyone home? Have you suddenly gone deaf?..."He asked.
The blonde girl let out a happy sigh, before looking over her shoulder.
"Oh, Artemis. Didn't see you..."She said in a lovesick manner, sighing dreamily as she still seemed gone in her own daydreaming right now.
The white cat raised a brow at that.
"Um...Are you sick or something?..."He asked as the lovesick blonde girl giggled.
"The best kind of sick..."She said happily, much to the cat's confusion.
"What the heck has come over her? I know that she can be boy crazy and a fan girl...but this takes the cake..."He thought, shaking his head as the blonde girl continued to fawn over Danny Phantom.
"Maybe, when this is over, I'll move to America..." She said to herself, confusing the cat.
"Uh...why?..."Artemis asked, not seeing why she would do that and suddenly move from Japan.
"Because the red thread of fate tells me to. It'll be for the best. It's practically written in the stars by now..."She said cheerfully, before squealing into her pillow.
The white cat just watched this and had a feeling he knew what this is about.
"This must be about a boy, no doubt about that. And I think that I know who it might be..."He muttered as he knew whom she's fawning over this time.
The blonde girl sighed dreamily as she continued to make a lovesick fool out of herself.
Artemis decided that it was late and that he was too tried to deal with Minako's boy crazy attics right now and let her be for now.
He just wanted to rest someplace quiet, knowing that they both need to preserve their energy for tomorrow.
Elsewhere
Makoto had just returned home. She was feeling tired and happy to be home.
"What a day..."She muttered.
She went to the kitchen to make a quick dinner for herself, as she usually does.
She decided to make a rice omelet with grilled salmon for herself tonight.
However, as she cooked, her mind went back to earlier today. Not just to the battle, but what happened between her, Venus and Phantom-san.
She recalled the talk that she had with the ghost boy and how she seemed to be at ease around him. Not just at ease, but soothing. Like she could sense that she can act more like herself around him.
"It's strange...but when I talked to him...he reminded me of someone else...he was a lot like Danny-kun in a way. It wasn't just the name that they both coincidentally shared. Is it because they're both from America?..."She thought, wondering why she felt so comfortable around those two and was almost worried she was becoming as boy crazy as Minako.
Makoto immediately shook that last thought out of her head. Confident that she has a much better handle on her own obsession with boys than Minako.
Or at least, that was still at her own usual level of boy crazy.
Anyway, she was thinking back to her conversations with Phantom, how he admitted to liking some girl he called Lita to hide her identity and how eerily similar it was to her own predicament with Danny Fenton.
Her mind went back to the accidental kiss with the ghost boy that the tall high school girl felt her face heat up as she was blushing up a storm, her face turning completely red right now.
Granted, it had been an accident, but she was not complaining. Not in the slightest.
"Accident or not...I did get a kiss from a cute boy...even if he's shorter and interested in someone else..."She thought in a giddy manner.
She shook her head once she realized what she was thinking about. She reminded herself his heart belonged to another.
"Easy there, Makoto. It was just an accident and nothing more. Not to mention that Minako is Phantom-san's fan girl, not you...technically. Besides, it's obvious that he likes someone else. Granted, not Minako, but someone else. Whoever she is, I know that he's gonna make some lucky girl feel like princess ..."She thought, taking a deep breath.
The tall girl sighed a bit, realizing the awkward love triangle he was in. She refocused back to her cooking, before it showed any signs of burning.
"I bet he needs some alone time..."She whispered as she cooked her dinner until it was ready for consumption.
She soon went to the table and began to eat her homemade rice omelet with grilled salmon, her mind clouded with thoughts going back and forth between her kiss with Phantom and Venus kissing his cheek.
However, her mind drifted to another Danny that she knew, her dark haired friend from America. She didn't know why, but he took her thoughts up more.
Thinking about him made her feel like she had butterflies fluttering inside her chest. Until another thought popped into her mind.
"I wonder if Danny-kun has someone whom he likes?..."She thought, as she served her own dinner.
As she ate, she noticed that there was an unanswered text on her phone.
"Huh?..."She thought as she checked it.
She saw that it was from Danny Fenton.
"Oh right...we did exchange numbers..."She thought as she checked the message.
"Hi there Makoto, I wanted to wish you a Good Night. Also, I was hoping that I can see you tomorrow and maybe hangout for while, if you don't already have plans that day. I'm 's something that I want to talk to you about and an important question that I want to ask you too..."She read out loud.
The tall girl found herself smiling and blushing a bit. She hugged her cellphone close to her chest, feeling happy as her cheeks blushed a rosy shade of pink.
"Danny-kun...he's thinking about me..."She whispered, feeling better before she typed back a response.
Once done, she ate the rest of her meal, brushed her teeth and decided to go to bed now to get fully rested for the next day, knowing that tomorrow is gonna be one long battle and she needs all she can get.
Still, hopefully she can make enough time to meet up with Danny-kun too.
Meanwhile
Chibiusa soon arrived home, deep in thought.
As she entered the house, she overheard Auntie Ikuko scolding Usagi.
"Do you know how late it us after your curfew young lady!?..."The angry mother yelled at the whiny teenager.
"I just came home 5 minutes late. Come Mom, give me a break!..."Usagi cried, while Shingo frowned.
"Don't talk back to me! You should've called ahead to let us know that you'd be late in the first place!..."Ikuko yelled at her.
"Even Chibi-Usa makes it home before curfew, unlike you big sis..."Shingo criticized.
"No asked you, Shingo!..."Usagi yelled at him, while the boy stuck his tongue out at her.
Chibiusa ignored this, as her mind was still on recent events. Especially with the arrival of new allies and enemies that she was never aware of before coming to the past.
"This is nuts, why are there so many unknown individuals that nobody had ever told me about? Phantom? Locci's?. Why didn't Pluto warn me about any of this before I arrived here? Is this all a bad omen of worse events that might happen later or not?!..."The pink haired girl thought in worry, wishing that her friend could answer her questions right now.
As she sat at the table with her temporary family, the little pink haired girl was deep in thought.
"Did things change because I showed up in the first place? No that can't be, but then what else could it have been? Aww, why does time-travel have to be so darn complicated!..."She thought, not understanding how things have turned out like this.
"Please Mom, don't take away my dessert! It's not fair!..."Usagi whined, pleading with her mother to keep away her favorite strawberry shortcake dessert.
"Usagi-chan, you can't keep acting a child like this. What kind of example are you setting for Chibi-Usa?..."Ikuko scolded her.
"I still can't believe that this crybaby is the leader of the seshi's..."Chibiusa muttered, wondering how she could related to this younger crybaby version of her regal and elegant mother.
Luna soon got into the house and wondered what had happened in her absence, hoping everything is all right with Usagi and Chibiusa
She saw the typical family drama at the table and sighed.
"Same as always I see..."She thought, as the younger members began to fight over desserts.
"Hey, that's my cake..."Usagi yelled.
"Yours is the carrot cake, mine is the strawberry short cake..."Chibiusa yelled.
"You two better dare try to touch my chocolate cake!..."Shingo said, while Ikuko frowned.
"Stop yelling or else no one is having dessert tonight!..."She yelled, while her husband sweat drops at the scene.
"How about we all finish our dinner first before deciding on desserts?..."He said, trying to maintain peace at the table.
It didn't take too long before all the members of the Tsukino family sat down at the dining table to each have their respective meals, hoping to at least finishing eating before another family squabble ensued.
The Next Day
Danny had woken up, brushed his teeth, showered and got dressed for the day.
His mind still on the events from yesterday, and hoped that today must turn out better. He also hoped that he'll find someway to resolve his recent girl issue without hurting too many people's feelings
"Now what to have for a morning meal and where to get it? I guess I can just go to the same place as before..."He thought, feeling hungry.
He was ready to go get some breakfast, but soon noticed a message from his phone.
He saw the text from Makoto.
"She replied to me!..."He thought, excited.
"Hello Danny-kun, I wish for a lovely Good Night to you as well. Also I'd love to hangout with you tomorrow, I'll text you when I'll be available and where we can meet up. I look forward to whatever it is that you want to talk with me about. I can't wait..."He read.
He smiled and felt his heart warm up a bit.
"She said that she'd love to hangout with me, that's a great sign. Better text her back so she knows that I just saw her message..."He thought, as he typed a reply to her before putting his phone down.
He soon got another message on his phone.
It was from Sailor Moon too.
"Oh man, Sailor Moon?..."He thought, as he answered.
"Hello, Sailor Moon..."Danny asked.
"Phantom-san, thank goodness I got you. Listen, can you meet us at the usual spot like last time? And keep a look out for any signs of bad guys while you do too..."She said.
"What's wrong? Are the locci's already here?..."He asked, worried.
"No, not yet. Still, I'd prefer we all be present for a team meeting. So, can you meet us there in about 2 hours? That's how soon we can all meet up there?..."She said.
"Oh, okay..."Danny said, not seeing as reason deny this request from the leader of the Sailor Guardians.
Looks like Danny will have to take his breakfast to go.
Elsewhere
The little pink haired girl had woken up early and quickly ate the breakfast that Ikuko made her, making sure to properly give her thanks to her temporary guardian and mentally prepared herself for the rest of today.
Her mind was still filled with worry over recent events and the anomalies such the loccis and Danny Phantom himself. All individuals that she has never even heard of until a couple of days ago.
"I need to know what the heck is going on in this time-line. And just how much things are different this time..."She thought, as Usagi and Shingo argued over the last pancake and how much syrup they could use.
The little girl ignored them and leaving out the door, making sure to bring Luna-P along in her backpack.
Luna noticed her trouble expression and went to her.
"Are you alright, Chibiusa?..."The cat asked.
"I'm not so sure if things are as they should be anymore, but I'm gonna find out what's going on..."Chibiusa said, being vague.
Chibiusa knew that she can't tell her the real truth of why she is here yet. But she still eventually, once she solves the mystery of all these unknown anomalies., she will explain to the others when it's time to do so.
"I just hope that there's still time to fix everything once I found out whatever the heck is going on in the past..."She thought, hoping that her present won't get any worst with all these new unknown variables now at play.
Chibi-Usa simply wished that she had someone to help and rely on in moments like this.
She knows that Luna-P will always be by her side, but in times like this, she really needed a friend that was someone she could relate too, count on and talk too.
Right now, she is on her own and she will have to suck it up for now.
But it didn't mean that she had to like it.
Later
With Danny
The ghost boy left the motel and tried to get some breakfast.
"Okay, let's see if I can find that diner again..."He thought, as he looked around.
He walked around the block and thankfully managed to find it without needing to use the amulet for help. He went inside, bought a simple sandwich and soon took it to go.
The ghost boy thought about buying a sandwich called a "yakisoba pan", but he was in a rush and decided to try it another time.
He grabbed the simplest item on the menu, a grilled cheese sandwhich to go.
"That sandwich looked like it was just a hotdog bun with yakisoba noodles filled in. I wonder what it would've tasted like? Oh well, I'll just stick with this sandwich now, then try more local cuisine later..."He thought, as he finished eating it.
He threw the sandwich wrapper in the trash. As the half ghost hero soon began to walk into a nearby neighborhood.
"I really hope that I don't run into any more thugs..."He thought, as he kept walking.
He was about to leave, but soon overheard something in a nearby alley.
"Me...OW!..."A voice was heard.
"Huh? What was that?..."Danny thought.
He then heard the sound of a crash and something metallic being knocked over.
He went to the alley and soon saw what caused the crash.
It was two cats.
A black one and a white one that was currently pinned under a garbage can. He immediately got into hero mode and carefully made his way to the cat's rescue.
"Oh man. I hope you two aren't hurt..."Danny said, as he went to them.
The cats seemed startled by his sudden appearance, but the ghost boy didn't realize this and he seemed concerned about them.
"Oh, you poor thing..."Danny said, as he removed the can from the white cat and the black cat.
He tried to pick them up, but both cats had some trash on them and the ghost boy tried his best to wipe it off them. Once he was done and pulled off a discarded banana peel from the cats head, he noticed a familiar marking on the white cat's forehead and instantly recognized him.
"Wait...you're Mina's cat, Artemis..."Danny said, as he recognized the male cat.
"Oh man. Now what do we do?..."Artemis thought, while he and Luna tried to think of a way for a quick escape, until they heard a familiar voice call out.
"Luna...where are you?!..."A woman shouted outside, clearly looking for the cat.
"Oh my, It's Usagi's mother..."Luna thought and she and Artemis squirmed in the boys grasp.
Danny put two and two together and figured that must be Usagi's mother.
"Oh, you're Usagi's cat too. I guess you two must be a couple or something like that. Aw, Artemis...did you come all the way here to see Luna?..."Danny said in a baby voice to the cat.
"This is embarrassing on a number of levels. But at least this solves one problem..."Artemis thought, as the dark haired boy spoke baby talk to them.
He managed to jump out of his arms, but Luna remained.
"So mortifying...still, I'm grateful that Mrs. Tsukino came to our rescue in the nick of time..."Luna thought, but Danny picked her up and took her out of the alley and headed to the woman who was calling out the cat's name.
"Uh excuse me..."Danny said.
"Yes, how can I help you? Are you lost perhaps?..."The woman asked.
"No, I'm not. I just wanted to know if you are related to anyone named Usagi?..."He asked.
"She's my daughter. How do you know her and who are you?..."The woman asked.
"My name is Danny, we're friends. Anyway, I think this cat might belong to you. I found her in a nearby alley..."Danny said, and the woman smiled.
"Oh, thank you..."Ikuko said as she took Luna.
"I don't know what came over her. Luna is usually very well behaved. Not to mention, extremely clever for a cat..."She said, as she held the cat.
"She was probably just looking for a date, namely from her fluffy knight in furry armor in the alley. The one I saw her with..."Danny joked, and the woman giggled.
"Well, she is a beautiful cat, so I suppose that I can't blame her for attracting a handsome tomcat to our doorstep..."The woman said in a joking manner.
"Why do I get the feeling that she thinks that she's my guardian?..."Luna thought in annoyance as she remains in Ikuko's arms.
"Anyway, thank you for your help..."She said, as she went back into her house with Luna.
"No sweat. I was just at the right place at the right time..."Danny said, as as he went back to the alley to find Artemis,
Once Ikuko went inside with Luna, Danny went back to the alley to find Artemis, however he heard that the cat slip on something metallic for the second time in a row.
"Again..."Danny said, as he saw that Artemis was now covered in trash and had rope all over him.
"Oh man, what a mess. Such a silly cat..."Danny said, as he tried to help him.
"Buddy, I can get wanting a date with Luna, but you really need to act cool and NOT cover your fur in trash..."Danny said as he walks over to the white cat.
"You try jumping off a couple of trash cans to get over a high fence and see how hard it is for yourself. It's not as easy as it might appear to others..."Artemis thought, as the boy keels down to eye level with the male feline.
"Don't worry, let me help..."He said, as he got an idea on how to free the cat.
"What is he doing?..."Artemis thought.
But what he saw next shocked him.
Danny placed his hand on him and used his intangibility, making the rope fall off the white cat.
"WHAT THE HECK?!..."Artemis thought as his eyes were as wide as saucers as he felt a strange and very familiar energy pass right into him.
"There you go, good as new..."Danny said happily, as he picked Artemis up.
"What was that? What was that cold feeling that just went through my body?! And just what the heck did he do to me?!..."The cat thought, shocked as he started shivering in the half hero's hands.
Danny misunderstood this reaction as fear and tried to calm him down.
"No worries, I'm your friend, and I promise that I'm gonna help you..."He said gently, before he recalled something.
"Mina must be worried sick about you. I should probably get you home to her as soon as possible..."He said as he looked around his surroundings to make sure nobody else was around and soon morphed.
Artemis's eyes widened as he watched lights traveled up and down the teenage boy's body and soon Danny Fenton was replaced with Danny Phantom, the same ghost boy whom Minako was obsessed over.
"NO WAY!..."He thought as he was now completely speechless and had a reason to be silent.
The ghost boy smiled at him and gently patted the white cat's head to calm him down.
"Okay, time to take you home..."Danny thought, as he took off the skies, taking the flabbergasted cat with him.
"WHAT?! HOW?! WHY?! I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS?! First, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!..."Artemis thought in shock as he soon found himself in the air and in the ghost kid's arms.
His first response was to hang on tight to Danny's arms, since he was not a fan of being so far away from the ground.
Danny felt the white cat's claws dig into him, but simply assumed that the little guy was not used to flying and decided to pick up the pace so that he can end the flight sooner rather than later.
Unaware that this was doing little help ease the flabbergasted cat's nerves right now.
A few minutes later
After a few minutes of flying, Danny soon arrived to Minako's neighborhood, taking Artemis with him.
During the flight, the ghost boy couldn't help but find Artemis cute for a frightened cat and couldn't resist petting him to help calm the white cat's nerves.
"Aw, who's a good wittle kitty? No need to be scared...we're gonna be at your home soon and I'll give you back to your pretty if somewhat forward owner. I bet she misses you a lot, maybe she's even out looking for you right now..."Danny said in baby talk as he pet the cat, thinking it would calm him down from the flight.
It did the opposite effect and while Artemis recovered from his shock, he got annoyed.
"Humans never seem to realize just how demeaning it is being talked to like this..."The cat thought, as Danny landed near her house.
He changed into his human form and knocked on the door.
"Huh? No answer..."He thought.
He phased inside and saw that the house was empty.
"I guess she and her family aren't here. Oh well, I guess I can just drop you off here and be on my way..."He said as he placed the cat inside the house.
The ghost boy waved goodbye to the white cat before phasing back out.
"Stay out of trouble, Arty. And try not to get so dirty next time you try and flirt with your girlfriend..."Danny said, before flying away.
Unknown to the ghost kid, the white cat was eyeing him in a somewhat cautious and curious manner.
Danny wasn't aware of any of this and went on his merry way to meet up with the Sailor Guardians at their usual place. All the while, the white cat was staring at him from the window, still processing this new information but was at least happy to be alone with his thoughts right now.
"Finally, now I just need to hurry and info Luna about this human being-..."Artemis thought in shock...before something the ghost kid said finally clicked into his mind.
He got annoyed.
"HEY, DON'T CALL ME ARTY!..."He shouted, forgetting about the fact that normal Earth cats don't talk and thankful that it didn't seem like the half ghost hero heard him.
However, the ghost boy is already gone and the white cat soon recalled that he had more pressing matters to attend to.
Such as informing Luna about this sudden discovery about the mystery about the Makoto's new American friend and their new half ghost ally...and how they, apparently, seem to be the same person.
"Oh man...I gotta get to Luna and the girls. They're never gonna believe this one..."Artemis said as he tried to find a way out of the house.
Only to soon realize that most of the doors are locked and all the windows are shut tight, making things more difficult for the white cat.
"Right, no one's home, so the house is on temporary lock down. Darn it..."He muttered, as he tried to find someway to get out and tell Luna and the others what he just discovered.
He just hoped that he could get to them before anything else crazy happens.
