Episode 11: The Island of Mr. McLean

The camera focuses on Chris at the end of the Dock of Shame. "Last time on Total Drama Island." The scene cuts to flashbacks of the previous episode. "We started the day by giving everyone something from home, to potentially make the competition more interesting. They then proceeded to hardly use their brand-new toys in the next challenge. Speaking of which, the contestants were tasked with assembling a jigsaw puzzle. The catch? I put the pieces underwater. Where there were sharks. And apparently a lot of garbage, which we cleaned up, so you don't have to come at us, Environmental Department."

"What do you mean 'we'?" asked Chef from offscreen.

"Chef, what have I told you about interrupting the opening?" asked Chris. "Anyway, Kim and Kevin are a thing now, after a shark nearly killed him. And before his lawyers contact me, he signed a waiver, so this is perfectly legal."

"That's not how waivers work, Chris," said Chef.

"Again, shut up Chef," said Chris. "Now, where was I? Oh yeah, Team Golden Lion won the challenge, and I forgot to give them their prize. Since they haven't confronted me about it, I think I'm off the hook."

"Actually, I gave them the prize you had planned for them," said Chef.

"I said, QUIET!" yelled Chris. "Also, I don't remember actually planning a prize for them. Eh, whatever it was, I'm sure it's fine."

"It was your Gemmies and a couple of baseball bats," said Chef.

"…son of a *beep," said Chris. "Eh, I'll probably win a few more later. Anyway, Team Power Mouse just barely held out Team Checkmate, so Team Checkmate once again tried to vote out Mandy. Since she still has Invincibility Idols to spare, she used that to her advantage, and got Jessica eliminated, much to everyone's shock. Yeah, I didn't see that coming either, I thought they were on the same side."

The scene cuts back to Chris on the Dock of Shame. "What horrors have I got in store for the contestants today? Hehe, well, the only way to find out is to watch it, right here, on Total. Drama. Island."

Intro song plays.

The teams sat around the tables, eating breakfast. At Team Checkmate's table, everyone was giving Mandy the stink eye, which she was ignoring. "I can't believe she got rid of Jessica like that," said Ben.

"The good news is, she only has one statue left," said Steven. "The bad news is, she's gonna get rid of one of us."

"And the fact that it could be me…" said Buttercup. "Like, she's making no guarantee that I'm safe."

"As leader of this team, I want everyone to be aware that they're not safe," said Mandy. "Otherwise you get too comfortable."

"Who made YOU the leader?" asked Dexter. "Like, we hate you. Why would we choose you as leader?"

"Why would you choose anyone else?" asked Mandy.

"We don't like you," said Steven. "I know that's harsh to say, but…"

"You don't have to like me," said Mandy. "You just have to do as I say so that we win."

"And how do we know you won't just make us lose so you can get rid of us?" demanded Dexter.

"How does getting rid of teammates help me at this point?" asked Mandy. "The more numbers I have at my disposal, the more likely we are to win. As it stands, the teams are all equal again, so we've lost our numbers advantage."

"So we win or lose on our own skill level?" asked Ben.

"Okay, you're out next," said Mandy. "As for the rest of you, how about it? You follow my lead, you get to the merge."

"No," said Steven. "If anyone is going to be leader, it should be someone compassion, like me."

"What?" snapped Dexter. "You've never even attended school. A leader needs to be smart, and who's the smartest here?"

"Are you forgetting who the most powerful is here?" asked Ben. "Why shouldn't I be leader?"

As the three boys began arguing, Mandy started smiling to herself.

Confession Cam: Mandy

"Huh, breaking them up was FAR easier than I thought it would be."

Meanwhile, at Team Power Mouse's table…

"So…what are you guys?" asked Dipper.

"We're…not really sure," said Kevin. "We, uh, kinda haven't talked about it."

"Why not?" asked Mikey.

"We just…haven't, okay?" asked Kim.

"It shouldn't be that hard, right?" asked Luz. "Just figure out if you're a thing or not, and go from there."

"Oh, just like you and Korra are doing?" asked Kim.

"Hehehe…what are you talking about?" asked Luz nervously.

"Oh, don't play dumb. We know you like her," said Kevin.

"But how can she? They're both girls," said Mikey.

"We're gonna need to have a talk about that later," said Kevin, patting him on the shoulder. "For now though, at least me and Kim are willing to admit there's something going on. You and Korra though…"

"Okay, look, I like her, okay?" asked Luz. "I really do. But…I mean, I have Amity at home, and she has Asami, not to mention we're on different teams right now, so this whole thing is kinda just a mess…"

"You what?" asked someone behind Luz, causing her to jump. Luz turned around slowly, hoping not to see who she thought was there, but of course, there she stood, clearly having heard everything.

"Oh…hi Korra…" said Luz, blushing bright red, clearly wishing she was anywhere but there at that moment. "So…how's things?"

"Are you really going to try to not address what I just heard?" asked Korra.

"Heard what?" asked Luz, before sighing in defeat. "Yeah, even I wasn't convinced by that one."

"Well, this is about to get awkward," said Kim.

"Should…should we go?" asked Dipper.

"Why? What wrong with hearing two friends talking?" asked Mikey.

"Okay, Mikey, I need to ask, what do you think Luz meant by saying she likes Korra?" asked Kevin.

"Well, friends have to like each other, right?" asked Mikey.

"So young, so innocent," said Kim, shaking her head.

"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Mikey.

"…how about we explain things as we give these two some privacy?" asked Kevin, grabbing his food so he could leave the table with the others.

"Hey Korra, get over here," said Jenny. "We're trying to discuss strategy for today's challenge."

"Okay, I've gotta go," said Korra. "But after the challenge today, we're talking about this, got it?"

"Unfortunately," said Luz, sinking deeper into her seat as Korra left. Luz groaned and put her head on the table. "Ugh, why did she have to hear that?"

"At least it's out in the open now," said Kim. "That needed to happen at some point, so that you can get past it."

"I suppose," said Luz glumly. "I just hope none of this actually makes it to TV."

Meanwhile, in the editor's room…

"Did you get that?" asked Chris.

"Every word," said Chef.

"Excellent," said Chris, chuckling with glee.

Back in the Mess Hall…

"So, we're strategizing, eh?" asked Korra, as she joined her team. "Does that mean we know what today's challenge is?"

"Actually…" started Danny, looking around and seeing that Lincoln wasn't around. "Let's get to the point: what's going on with you and Luz?"

"Huh?" asked Korra. "Nothing. Nothing's happening between us."

"Then what were you just talking about?" asked Eliza.

"Oh…nothing…" said Korra.

"She said she likes you," said Jenny.

"Why would you tell them that?" snapped Korra.

"Hey, I just figured we need a bit of honesty between each other," said Jenny with a shrug. "Plus, I can hear you anyway."

"Which brings us back to the original question: what's going on?" asked Danny, with Eliza and Jenny staring at Korra expectantly.

"Look, guys, I don't know exactly what's going on with me and Luz yet," said Korra. "But I promise, after today's challenge, we're going to work it out. I swear."

"Let's hope so," said Eliza. "Because with her being on another team, we don't want you getting distracted and hurting our chances of winning."

"We wanted to tell you this now, while Lincoln's in the bathroom," said Danny. "Because let's be real, he'll probably use this as an excuse to get you eliminated, and I can't fully disagree with him."

"Thanks guys," said Korra. "I swear, I'll get this all sorted out as soon as…"

"Sort what out?" asked Lincoln, joining his team at the table. "Did I miss anything important?"

"Uh…no," said Eliza, in a tone that sounded very much like he had missed something.

"Were you guys discussing the Luz x Korra situation?" asked Lincoln.

"What Luz x Korra situation?" asked Korra.

"You know, the…" started Lincoln.

"Campers, meet me on the beach for today's challenge," said Chris.

"Is it another water one?" asked Jenny. "We barely got through the last one."

"We won the last one," said Danny. "If anything, the other teams barely got through the last one."

"Correction: I barely made it through the last one," said Jenny.

"I got you through that," said Korra. "Then you just sat around because we didn't want to risk you rusting up."

"It's not like I made the challenge," said Jenny. "Surely he won't make us go in the water again."

"Let's hope not," said Korra. "Come on, let's see what we're doing today."

"I'll catch up," said Eliza, picking up a basket under the table.

"What's that for?" asked Lincoln.

"Well, I figure since none of us will be eating these sasquatch lures my dad sent, I might as well leave them at the place that I…I…" Eliza began explaining, before looking very upset.

"Hey, it's okay," said Danny. "Go ahead and do what you have to, we'll wait."

"What if that holds us up?" asked Lincoln, as Eliza headed off to the spot where the sasquatch got caved in.

"Lincoln, three of us have incredible super-powers, including a robot with a built-in super-computer," said Danny. "I doubt we'll end up so far behind that we can't catch up."

Meanwhile…

"Hey, Mrs. Sasquatch," said Eliza, kneeling down next to the pile of rocks. "So…sorry about caving in your home. I just really wanted to meet you, you know? I've got something I think you'd have liked. My dad sent them. I hope that somehow, someway, you can get them. Anyway, uh…I've gotta go, I've got a challenge to do, but I'll be back tomorrow, I promise." Eliza got up, and ran off towards the beach.

As soon as Eliza was out of sight, a large, purple, furry fist crashed through the pile of rocks, roaring.

Meanwhile, on the beach…

"Okay campers, are you ready for today?" asked Chris. "You'd better be, because you signed contracts that you'd be ready to compete every three days."

"Well, it's not like you can make us do anything more terrifying than last week's challenge," said Kevin.

"Why do you people never learn that you should never say that in front of me?" asked Chris. "Because today, you'll be going to Boney Island."

"Oh no…" said Kevin, suddenly very pale.

"Is it really that bad?" asked Luz. "I mean, you guys have already been there, and seemed to come back okay."

"And there's a reason we haven't told you about what happened on it," said Mikey, shuddering at the thought.

"We didn't even see any of the…things that must live on that island," said Kim. "But we heard them. Oh, we heard them."

"And you're gonna want to hope you only hear them again this time," said Chris. "You'll be going far deeper onto the island this time, to retrieve your team's flag. Get your team's flag back here first, you win. Simple, right?"

"And what horrible plot twist is there to this challenge?" asked Lincoln.

"There isn't," said Chris. "Seriously, there is nothing I could add to this challenge that would make it worse than what you're going to go through. At least, nothing legal. So, there is no plot twist. This time."

"You know we don't believe you, right?" asked Mandy.

"You'd be stupid if you did," said Chris. "However, in this case, I am genuinely telling the truth."

"We'll decide that for ourselves when we inevitably find whatever it is you're planning on that island," said Dexter.

"Okay, believe what you want to believe," said Chris with a shrug. "Chef, the canoes, if you please."

"Is this literally all you want me to do this episode?" asked Chef, throwing the canoes down in front of the contestants.

"Hey, you're welcome to be part of the rescue team on Boney Island," said Chris.

"Hmm…nah," said Chef, heading back to the kitchen.

"You have a rescue team?" asked Steven.

"Yeah, legal requirement, just in case something happens while you're on the island," said Chris dismissively. "I told them it wasn't a good idea…"

"Because you wanted us to be killed?" asked Ben.

"No, because at this point we're probably gonna need a rescue team for the rescue team," said Chris.

Meanwhile, on Boney Island…

A large Venus Flytrap-like plant burped, and a boot came out of its mouth.

Back with the contestants…

"Okay, the challenge begins…" said Chris, pulling out his airhorn. "NOW!" Chris gave a quick blast from the airhorn, and the contestants grabbed their canoes and got into the water, paddling towards a possible death.

"So, what's the plan guys?" asked Dipper.

"I'm gonna say…not die," said Kevin.

"That's a good plan, I like that," said Mikey.

"Come on guys, it can't be that bad," said Luz.

"You weren't there," said Kim. "It's…unnerving, if nothing else."

"Well, good thing I brought some extra invisibility glyphs," said Luz.

"Somehow, I feel like they're not going to help," said Kevin, as the team continued rowing towards the island.

"Alright losers, we've got this," said Mandy. "All you have to do is listen to me."

"And what makes you think we'd want to do that?" asked Dexter.

"Because if you don't, we lose again," said Mandy. "And I don't feel like losing my last invincibility statue."

"We're fine with it," said Steven.

"Let me put it this way then," said Mandy. "Who do you think I'd get rid of next if we lose? It could be any of you."

"Not me though," said Buttercup. "There's no way you'd get rid of the one person still on your side."

"Wouldn't I?" asked Mandy. "There's a reason I rule with fear instead of kindness, and that's because I need all of you to know you're not safe."

"And again, you're not our leader," said Ben.

"Okay, who is then?" asked Mandy.

"Obviously it's me," said Dexter. "As the smartest member of the team, I believe that it should be I that…"

"Um, Dex?" interrupted Ben. "No offense, but…you're a kid."

"So? So are you," said Dexter.

"I'm also one of the oldest on the team," said Ben. "So if anything, I should be…"

"Aren't I actually the oldest?" asked Steven.

"Only by a few months," said Ben dismissively.

"But still, as the oldest, I should…" started Steven.

"Hello? I've saved the world from horrible monsters," said Dexter.

"So have I," said Ben.

"And me," said Steven.

"And me," said Buttercup. "Therefore I could also be the leader."

"Oh, come on, you're even younger than Dexter," said Ben. "It's gotta be me."

"Oh, you think you're better than me?" snapped Buttercup. As her team continued to bicker, Mandy smirked at the camera.

Confession Cam: Mandy

"I know I only made them start fighting at breakfast about this, but no harm in making them fight about it a little more."

Meanwhile…

"Okay everyone, hold on tight," said Korra. "I'm gonna get us to the island first."

"Oh, this should be good," said Lincoln sarcastically.

"Okay, everyone except Lincoln, hold on tight," said Korra, standing in the back of the canoe and waving her arms rhythmically. The water started to swell, before propelling them forward at a great speed. Team Golden Lion's canoe raced across the water, splashing the other two teams as they went past.

"Are you sure we should be going this fast?" asked Eliza, clutching the side of the canoe as tight as she could.

"We'll be fine," said Korra dismissively.

"We are coming up on land pretty quickly," said Jenny.

"See? We'll be first there," said Korra, still not slowing them down.

"Probably won't matter much if we're concussed from being launched into the rocks," said Danny.

"…okay, I'll slow…" started Korra, as the canoe hit the sand and sent the team flying onto the rocks.

"Ugh…" said Eliza, somewhat dazed and confused. "Is everyone okay?"

"Yeah, I'll live," said Danny, getting up.

"I think I'm fine," said Lincoln. "Not sure for how long with Korra's driving though."

"Well so-rry," said Korra, emphasizing each syllable. "I just wanted to make sure we were winning."

"Maybe do it in a way that doesn't nearly get us killed next time," said Danny.

"…you're right, I'm sorry," said Korra.

Confession Cam: Lincoln

"Oh, yeah, sure, I comment on her nearly getting us killed and she takes offense. But when Danny does it, she's apologetic. Wait…is Korra cheating on Luz with Danny?"

From outside the confessional, Korra's voice could be heard saying "No, I just respect him more than you."

"HEY! No listening to my confessionals."

Meanwhile…

"Okay, let's get moving," said Eliza. "Before…" As she was speaking, the members of Teams Power Mouse and Checkmate all ran past her. "Before that happens. Come on guys." Team Golden Lion followed the other contestants into the dark forests of Boney Island, as Chris and Chef watched from the safety of Wawanakwa's camera room.

"I do hope those kids are religious, because they're gonna need God on their side on that island," said Chris.

"And if they're not?" asked Chef.

"Well then they're screwed, aren't they?" asked Chris.

Back in the forest…

"Okay, where do you think Chris would put the flags?" asked Mikey as the team kept running into the unknown.

"Either the very centre of the island, or the highest possible point," said Kevin.

"Should we split up to…" started Dipper.

"NO!" yelled Kim, Kevin, and Mikey, causing Dipper to flinch.

"Sorry, but this place is way too dangerous," said Kim. "We stick together as much as possible, only separating if we really, REALLY have to."

"Is it because I'm the only one with superpowers to protect us if something goes wrong?" asked Luz.

"…I'd be lying if I said that wasn't a factor," said Kevin, choosing a path that led up a big hill.

"Hey, move it or lose it, you guys," said Lincoln, shoving past Luz.

"OI! Get back here," said Korra, chasing after him.

"Why? Because she's your girlfriend?" asked Lincoln in a mocking tone.

"She is not my…" started Korra, as the ground started rumbling. "…that's probably not good, right?"

"Yeah, that's generally what earthquakes are anywhere in the world," said Danny, going Ghost.

"Or we could just leave before whatever it is shows up," said Eliza, running up the path, before a large hand blocked her progress. "Um…maybe not then."

"What the hell did Chris make?" asked Jenny, looking up at the monster before them.

Meanwhile, in the camera room…

"Wow, wasn't expecting them to meet Old Rocky so soon," said Chris.

"What is that thing?" asked Chef.

"That is the ancient cursed golem that inhabits Boney Island," said Chris.

"And it just happens to be called Old Rocky?" asked Chef.

"Nah, I chose that name for it," said Chris. "I'm sure he's fine with it."

"Uh huh…" said Chef, not believing him. "And he's okay with you using his island?"

"We have an agreement," said Chris.

"And that agreement is…" started Chef.

"I can use his island, and I leave him a shiny pebble each day," said Chris.

"And do you?" asked Chef.

"…sometimes every three days…" said Chris. "Or a week…whenever I remember…I don't remember."

"That makes way too much sense," said Chef, going back to watching the screen.

"Okay, so if we go this way, we should…" started Steven, before coming to an abrupt stop, seeing the other two teams occupied with the giant. "Uh…how about we go around?"

"Not a bad idea," said Mandy. "Let them deal with that, it gives us more time to find the flag."

"Since when do you two agree?" asked Ben, suspicious.

"I swear, it's just easier this way," said Steven.

"Yes, you keep telling yourself that," said Mandy, in a tone that sounded sarcastic.

"So you are working with her?" asked Dexter.

"No," insisted Steven. "Look, let's just get this challenge over with, then we can talk this out, okay?"

"What if I really want to punch that thing?" asked Buttercup.

"Maybe don't, it could end up coming after us," said Ben.

"I'm still gonna do it," said Buttercup, flying straight at the monster and punching it in the side of the head. The monster swung one of its massive hands at Buttercup, but she flew above it, causing the monster to go off-balance.

"LOOK OUT!" cried Luz, slapping an ice glyph on the ground in front of her team. A huge ice wall burst from the ground in front of them, protecting them from the falling giant.

"Guys, get back," said Korra, sending a huge gust of wind at her team, knocking them back. Korra looked up, to see the giant falling right where she and Luz were standing. "Oh sh…" The giant crashed to the ground, the two girls vanishing from the sight of their teams.

"LUZ!" yelled Dipper in shock, rushing forward before Kevin grabbed him.

"Dip, we…we can't do anything," said Kevin.

"But Luz…" started Dipper.

"I know," said Kevin, wiping away a tear. "But if we stay, that thing's gonna kill us, and I doubt Luz would want that."

"…we're coming back this way," said Dipper. "If only to find…you know…"

"We will," said Kim. "But for now, we have to go." And with that, Team Power Mouse reluctantly left.

"Korra isn't…" started Eliza, staring in shock at the scene.

"I can sense two heat signatures down there," said Jenny. "However, they're not moving, so that heat might be because it's still recent…"

"I'm going down there," said Danny, going intangible. "Jenny, keep the others safe and try to win, I'll get both of them out."

"Good luck," said Jenny, grabbing the others as Danny flew into the rockface where Luz and Korra had last been seen, before flying away herself.

Meanwhile…

"Ugh…" said Luz, getting up. "That wasn't fun."

"You can say that again," said Korra. "It's just lucky I got some rocks up before that thing fell on us."

"Thaks for that," said Luz. "Now…where are we?"

"Somewhere under the island, I believe," said Korra. "That's about as exact of an answer I can give you."

"Well…I guess we start walking," said Luz. "Surely this cave comes out somewhere."

"I wouldn't be sure when it comes to Chris," said Korra, but began following Luz towards a possible exit. As they left the area they had been in, Danny flew through the roof of the cave, looking around to see nothing.

"Korra? Luz?" he called. "This is where they must have landed, so they must be okay if they've managed to walk away. But now I can't find them. Great…" Danny landed on the ground, and began his search for the girls in the opposite direction to where they'd gone.

Meanwhile…

"Look, up there," said Ben. "I think those are the flags."

"I think you're right," said Steven. "Which makes them suspiciously easy to get to. We just need someone who can fly to get up there, and we're almost done."

"Well, given that most of you have some kind of ability that would get you up there, why aren't you doing so?" asked Mandy.

"Because clearly Chris has something planned for when we get up there," said Dexter. "But what exactly? And how can we avoid it?"

"One moment," said Buttercup, immediately flying up to the flag, and grabbing it. "Anything?"

"…strangely, nothing," said Dexter. "Huh, maybe Chris…" Before he could finish that thought, there was a growling sound nearby.

"Why? Why did you say that?" asked Mandy, as the woolly beavers of the island started coming out from a dark cave nearby.

"Okay, I suppose this is the point where we run away?" asked Ben.

"I like that plan, let's do it," said Steven, as Buttercup joined them on the ground and started flying with them.

"Wait, I think I can…" started Mandy.

"No time," said Buttercup, grabbing her on the way past.

"Oh no you don't," said Mandy, twisting out of her grasp and running towards what appeared to be the lead beaver.

"What is she doing?" asked Steven, preparing to go back and grab her.

Mandy slid under the beaver, arm outstretched to grab something, and as she got out from under it, threw herself onto its back. "Giddyap," said Mandy. The beaver glared at her angrily, but didn't move. "I said…" Mandy slapped the beaver as hard as she could, causing it to whimper. "Giddyap." The beaver dejectedly began walking forward, and its underlings began following it. "That's what I was doing. As for the why…" Mandy held up what she found under the beaver, and the rest of the team stared in disbelief.

"Oh no…she got another one," said Steven, staring at the Invincibility Idol.

"Son of a bi…" started Buttercup.

Meanwhile…

"I don't see why you can't just tell us you can talk to animals," said Lincoln. "We all know you can do it."

"What? What gives you that idea?" asked Eliza.

"The fact that every time an animal is involved in a challenge, you try to talk to it," said Lincoln.

"It's a coincidence?" suggested Eliza.

"Lincoln, if Eliza doesn't want to tell us about the power we know she has, she doesn't have to," said Jenny.

"You don't know it," said Eliza defensively.

"Lincoln's observations were accurate though," said Jenny. "You do tend to talk to animals at every opportunity."

"Okay, maybe I do," said Eliza. "But doesn't mean we understand each other."

"Sure, keep telling yourself that," said Lincoln. "Hey, maybe those birds know where the flags are."

"They look pretty dangerous," said Jenny, concerned. "I can't even identify them on my internal database."

"Look, I'll just go talk to them," said Eliza. "Not because we can understand each other, but because I can…scare them away so they don't hurt us?"

"Hurt you more like," said Jenny. "But yes, see if you can. I'll be on standby if that doesn't work."

"Okay, here goes," said Eliza, walking up to the birds. "Uh, hi there."

"Meat," said one of the birds.

"Uh…yes, it is nice to meet you," said Eliza, already starting to feel uneasy about the encounter.

"No. You. Meat," said another one of the birds.

"Uh…you wouldn't want to eat me," said Eliza. "I'm all skin and bones, I wouldn't be that tasty."

"Don't care," said another bird. "Meat is meat."

"…uh oh…" said Eliza, backing away.

"Hey Eliza, I've got good news and bad news," said Jenny. "The good news is: I've identified the birds."

"Great," said Eliza, still backing up as the birds stalked closer. "What are they? Maybe I can find something they want more than me."

"…that's the bad news," said Jenny. "Those are Stymphalian Canadian geese, so…they eat people."

"Yeah, I kinda figured that out," said Eliza, rejoining her team. "You wouldn't happen to have a way out of this situation, would you?"

"Probably just this," said Jenny, holding out her hands and blasting the birds back. "Time to go." Jenny grabbed Eliza and Lincoln and flew away with them, the birds right behind them.

"Catch them. Eat them," said the birds, furiously flying after them.

Meanwhile…

"What's the sound?" asked Dipper, pausing to listen.

"It kinda sounds like…" started Kim, as Jenny flew past them.

"Okay, whatever's making her fly like that is probably not good," said Kevin.

"It isn't," said Mikey, pointing back at the birds.

"…RUN!" yelled Kevin, as his team took off after the flying robot.

Meanwhile…

"We're gonna be down here forever, aren't we?" asked Luz.

"No way, there must be a way out of here," said Korra. "We just need to…what's that sound?"

"…that's not your stomach growling from hunger, is it?" asked Luz.

"Nope," said Korra. "And I take it it's not yours either?"

"Nope," said Luz.

"Right…then that means…" started Korra, turning around. "Yep. Bears."

"Well, that's not good," said Luz. "You think we can fight our way out of this?"

"Easily," said Korra, getting into a fighting pose, then throwing a couple of fireballs at the bears. The bears looked at each other, then growled louder and charged.

"My turn," said Luz, slapping a plant glyph on the ground, blocking the path with some thick vines. The bears immediately tore through the vines, and continued charging at the girls. "Okay…freeze." Luz activated an ice glyph, blasting the bears until they were frozen…only for them burst through.

"Oh…*beep," said Korra. "RUN!" The two girls took off, the bears right behind them. "How are these bears so tough?"

Meanwhile…

"I'm so glad someone found the superbears," said Chris.

"I thought you said you didn't modify anything on the island," said Chef.

"I didn't," said Chris. "Those bears are from Wawanakwa. I'm planning to use them in a later challenge, but figured I could hide them on Boney Island until we needed them. I'm assuming Old Rocky wouldn't care if I left creatures that blaspheme against God on his island."

"And you wonder why the government's keeping a close eye on you," muttered Chef.

Back on Boney Island…

"*beep, dead end," said Luz. "We're trapped."

"Hold on," said Korra, moving her arms to start bending. A wall of rock rose up between them and the bears, but the bears began breaking the walls immediately. "That should hold them. I'm bending us out of here."

"Fine by me," said Luz, as Korra began shifting the earth around them, aiming upwards. As she was about to close the path behind them, the bear burst through her wall, and charged into their hole.

"This might be it," said Korra. "I can't go any faster."

"After everything I've been through, I didn't think this would be how it…" started Luz, as Korra grabbed her and pulled her into a kiss. "Whoa…thank you?"

"Well, no point dying regretting not having done it," said Korra.

"Fair enough," said Luz, kissing her back. As the bears were about to begin mauling them, the girls seemed to vanish through the wall.

"Um…am I interrupting something?" asked an invisible voice.

"Uh…" started Luz, before realising she too was invisible, and flying through rocks. "Oh, hi Danny."

"Thanks for the save," said Korra.

"Never mind that, care to explain what you two were doing there?" asked Danny.

"Oh, like you don't know what kissing is," said Luz.

"Yeah, we've heard about your goth girlfriend back home," said Korra.

"…okay, fair enough," said Danny. "Except aren't you both in relationships?"

"It's…complicated," said Luz.

"That's putting it mildly," said Danny. "Well, let's get back to the surface. Hopefully our teams have already found the flags."

Meanwhile…

"Well, at least we managed to escape the geese," said Kim. "Now we just need to find the flags so we can leave."

"You mean like we did?" asked someone, causing the teams to look up and see Mandy riding a large beaver, holding her team's flag, followed by a colony of other beavers. Behind the beavers was the rest of her team, looking dejected.

"Hey, where'd you get that?" asked Jenny.

"Back there somewhere," said Mandy dismissively. "Not that that will help you."

"What? Are all the flags in different spots?" asked Lincoln.

"No, it's because my new pets will be…shall we say…disposing of you," said Mandy. "Beavers, sic 'em."

"Oh, you *beep," said Dipper, as the two teams began running away from the angry beavers.

"Mandy, don't you think you went a little too far this time?" asked Steven.

"Why? We're in competition, aren't we?" asked Mandy.

"They could die," said Buttercup.

"And we could win," said Mandy.

"I think we need to go back and help them," said Ben, as the rest of the team turned to go back and help the others.

"Anyone who stays with me has the chance to get my new Invincibility Statue," said Mandy, causing them all to pause.

"…you're kidding," said Dexter. "You would never give someone an advantage like that."

"Am I?" asked Mandy. "Come along and find out." Without another word, Mandy continued back to the canoes.

Confession Cam: Steven

"To be clear, it was a difficult decision to leave the others behind. But the chance to get rid of Mandy was a far more tempting offer. Some of them have powers, they were going to be fine, right? Right?"

Meanwhile…

"There's too many of them," said Jenny. "I can't blast all of them."

"I can try asking them to leave?" suggested Eliza.

"Are you admitting that you can talk to animals now?" asked Lincoln.

"No…err…I mean…" stuttered Eliza.

"Somebody do something, otherwise we're all dead," said Kevin, trying to climb a tree, which several beavers were looking at hungrily.

"Um, hi guys," said Eliza, slowly approaching the beavers. "How's it…"

"Meat," said one of the beavers.

"Yeah, this is about to go as well as the geese, isn't it?" said Eliza, backing up again.

"Well, it looks like this is the end," said Mikey. "It was nice knowing you all."

"One last kiss before we go?" asked Kim.

"Sure," said Kevin. "It's not like we've got anything left to lose at this point." The two of them leaned forward to kiss…

…when a green energy beam, a fireball, and a column of ice smashed into the ground between the two teams and the beavers. "What the…" started Kim, as the cause of the sudden interruption came into view.

"We're back, baby," said Luz, slapping a plant glyph to the ground that immediately tied up most of the beavers.

"And we even come bearing gifts," said Danny, holding up his team's flag, while Luz held up hers.

"Where did you…" started Lincoln.

"No time," said Korra. "We need to go, before…"

"And Team Checkmate make it back first," said Chris over a loudspeaker. "Tonight they'll be treated to an authentic Italian meal by world renowned cook, Ascia da Cuoco."

"Bonjour," said Chef, wearing a fake moustache and waving his hands in an almost offensive caricature.

"…before that happens," said Korra with a sigh. "I guess one of us is going home."

"Why do you think Power Mouse already left?" asked Lincoln, pointing to the retreating opposition.

"Sorry Korra," called Luz, not sorry at all.

"Come on guys," said Eliza, running off with her team back towards the canoes. Team Power Mouse were already paddling away by the time they got back, but Jenny stayed outside the canoe and used her rocket boosters to send her team hurtling towards the beach of Wawanakwa.

"Guys, they're coming up fast," said Dipper, paddling as hard as he could.

"Not for long," said Luz, using another plant glyph just as they were passing. The vines wrapped themselves around Golden Lion's canoe…

…only for Jenny to burst through them. "…anyone got a Plan B?" asked Dipper.

"This," said Kim, firing her grappling hook. The hook wrapped itself around Jenny's foot, without her seeming to notice. "Hang on guys," said Kim, who started retracting the hook. Her team started flying forward at an incredible speed, until they were practically level with the other team.

"Oh man, this is gonna be close," said Chris, watching through a pair of binoculars. "Golden Lion's technically in front, but if Power Mouse get out of their canoe quick enough, they might…" As he was speaking, something big and purple charged past him. "What was that?"

"A problem for Team Golden Lion, that's what," said Chef, as the two of them realised what had just run past them. "It's…"

"The sasquatch?!" yelled Eliza. "I thought you were…you know…"

"Guess again," said the sasquatch, landing on Golden Lion's canoe, sinking it. "This is for trying to kill me." The sasquatch reached its hands out and grabbed Eliza, intending to squeeze her to death.

"Oh no you don't," said Danny, grabbing Eliza and making her intangible enough to escape the beast's grasp.

"Please don't hurt him," said Eliza.

"Don't worry, we won't hurt him," said Korra, bending the water around them to freeze the sasquatch.

"Just relocating him," said Jenny, kicking the ice ball towards Boney Island.

"Besides, didn't it just try to kill you?" asked Lincoln.

"I know, but…" started Eliza. "That's just its nature, you know? It's what animals do. I can't be mad at them for that."

"We get it, no harming the animals if we can avoid it," said Danny. "Anyway, let's go finish the…"

"You guys do realise Team Power Mouse finished when the sasquatch jumped onto your canoe, launching them to the finish line?" asked Chris. "You hear that, guys? You're not sending someone home." In response, Team Power Mouse gave a combination groan/cheer from under their ruined canoe.

"Which means…" said Lincoln, realisation hitting him.

"That's right, see you all at elimination tonight," said Chris. The members of Team Golden Lion looked at each other, wondering who was going home tonight.

Confession Cam: Lincoln

"Well, Eliza did cost us the challenge technically. If she hadn't nearly killed that sasquatch, we'd have gotten back first."

Confession Cam: Korra

"Lincoln. If you don't know why, you haven't been paying attention."

Confession Cam: Eliza

"You know what? If I go home, it's fine. I know where the sasquatch is now, I can tell my dad so we can get footage of it. It's what I came here to do in the first place."

Meanwhile…

"So, who are you giving the Idol to Mandy?" asked Buttercup.

"Huh?" said Mandy, confused for a moment before realising what she said. "Oh, you thought I was serious about that."

"Wait, what?" asked Steven.

"I believe my exact wording was 'have a chance' to get the statue," said Mandy. "That means there was a chance I'd hand it over, and I decided not to." And with that, Mandy walked off without another word.

"Somehow, I knew something like this would happen, and yet I'm still surprised anyway," said Ben.

Later, at the Elimination Ceremony…

"Well Golden Lions, here again," said Chris. "Five of you sit here, but I only have four marshmallows. Those four marshmallows will go to those of you who are safe. For now. The one who doesn't receive a marshmallow will walk down the Dock of Shame, board the Boat of Losers, and will never be allowed to return. Ever. The following campers are safe." As Chris read each name, he threw them a marshmallow. "Jenny. Danny. And Korra." The camera focused on Lincoln and Eliza, the former looking worried, the latter looking relaxed. "Campers, there is only one marshmallow left. And that marshmallow is going to…" The camera rapidly cuts between Lincoln and Eliza. "…Lincoln." The final marshmallow landed on Lincoln's lap.

"Wait, what?" asked Korra. "I thought Lincoln was gone for sure."

"About that…" said Jenny. "I may have voted for Eliza."

"WHAT?!" asked Korra. "Why would you…"

"Because I asked her to," said Eliza.

"…what?" asked Korra, confused. "But…why would you…"

"Because, I got what I was looking for here," said Eliza. "I came here for my dad to find out if the sasquatch existed, and I did. So, I decided to make sure I went home now to tell him about it."

"I…guess that makes sense," said Korra. "So I guess that means…"

"So long everybody," said Eliza. "Maybe I'll see you guys one day."

"Nah, probably not," said Chris, jumping in front of the camera. "Will Golden Lion be able to come back after being the first to lose half their members? Stay tuned to find out, next time, on Total. Drama. Island."

Meanwhile, on Boney Island…

The ice ball that Sasquatchinakwa was frozen in starts to melt…
