A Phantom's Love and Courage

Chapter 29: Danny and Minako: The Ghostly Hero and the love struck heroine

It didn't take long for Danny to fly back to his motel room. However, he barely noticed as he was still somewhat in a daze.

And he knew why.

"Makoto...wow..." He thought with a smile as he phased into his room.

He laid on the hotel bed and sighed happily as he thought about her and their wonderful time together.

"Bravest thing I ever did..." He thought, touching his lips.

"What a girl, So strong and so nice. She's definitely in a league of her own..." He whispered in bliss, recalling how amazing she was.

He smiled as he recalled Makoto and the first intentional kiss he had given her, even if it was on the cheek. One that replayed in his mind.

It was so sweet. It's definitely a kiss that Danny will never be forgetting anytime soon.

"Tucker would give me huge props if he saw me...or he'd be jealous..." He thought, taking a deep breath.

The half ghost boy was currently on cloud 9 as he called his date with the green sailor guardian. He couldn't get his mind over his date with the tall, beautiful and amazing Makoto.

How could he not? Makoto is so amazing!

She is really pretty, tough, strong, cute, beautiful, kind, sweet and she can kick some serious butt. That alone is enough to consider her as his idea of the perfect girl.

She even laughed at his quips and jokes, even the ones Sam didn't even respond to. Not to mention she is a really great cook, she is really funny and smart, she looks so cute when she gets flustered and shy, and they got along great.

It was clear that she actually likes him for who he is.

They also had a lot in common as they are not only superheroes, but she also likes video games, the same kind of movies, shows and humor. They had a lot of the same interests and he really admires her for her beauty, strength, bravery, kindness and fearlessness.

She really is the perfect girlfriend material in his eyes.

He hoped what he felt was mutual.

Danny could certainly see himself asking Makoto to be his girlfriend, despite the long distance between their respective home countries

He knew that there was a connection between them and it might even become something more significant if they got to known each other better and spent more time together. However, the biggest draw back is that he would eventually have to return to America and he wasn't sure if he could handle a long distance relationship, but he would cross that bridge when the time comes.

Right now, he would have put that aside. He's not sure what the future would have in store for them if he chose her, but what he is sure is that he likes her.

A lot.

"Makoto..." He thought, as he felt his face flush at the thought of her.

It was clear that he was already impressed by the tall girl.

"Hmm...Makoto Fenton...maybe someday..." He thought, as he felt his face flush at the thought of her.

Now came the other girl he had a date with, coming soon.

The half ghost then pulled the breaks on his train of thought as he just remembered that he promised Minako that he and she would go on date too.

Which is the very next day too!

"Makoto is nice but I promised to give Minako a chance before making a choice..." He remembered.

Danny knew that he had to give Minako a chance since he promised that he would. It was the fair thing to do but his experience with Makoto was going to remain with him.

"Minako is cute...but Makoto is gonna be a really tough act to beat..." The ghost boy thought, wanting to make sure it wasn't a complete repeat of what he went through but he soon expressed a worrisome look on his face.

However, he doubted anyone would badmouth Minako like they did with Makoto today. He was just glad those jerks would leave them alone now.

He meant every word he said to those thugs and more. He didn't tolerate people like that in the slightest.

"I can't believe those jerks and Makoto's ex could say such awful thingsabout her like that...and right to her face...and all because of her height and because she doesn't let jerks do awful stuff. I guess some guys really do have no taste at all..." He thought, still offended on her behalf.

Makoto didn't deserve to be disrespected and ridiculed in such a horrible way. She didn't deserve that period. She's a nice girl who deserves so much better and those guys didn't even deserve pity from her.

"I just hope that no matter what, she knows anyone would be lucky to have her..." The ghost boy thought, know that Makoto deserves to be happy.

He then heard footsteps and could ear the sound of keys jingling.

"Oh crud!..." He said as he quickly grabbed his stuff and necklace and quickly became invisible.

Just in time as the door opened to reveal what looked to be a family and presumably the motel's manager.

"This is the place. Still vacant..."The manager said.

"What a relief..." The woman said.

"I agree. I'm so glad that we made this trip to Japan.."The man said as their kids ran inside and his wife began to unpack a suitcase.

"Looks like I better find another place to crash..."Danny thought as he phased out, hoping the motel still had some vacancies tonight.

He had to get his rest for his date with Minako tomorrow.

He was gonna need it.

As he left, the family noticed something.

"Hey Honey, did one of our kids rush in this room and turned on the lights?..." The woman asked her husband as when she stepped inside their temporary bedroom, she found the lights already left on.

"Wasn't me, Mom..." Their son said and their daughter shook her head.

"It doesn't matter. I just want to get some sleep..." Her husband said, not paying it any mind.

The manager noticed how the bed and pillows seemed to have folds on them to indicate someone slept on them. He also noticed the lamp was on, as if someone used it

"That darn ghost..." He thought.

With Danny

"Huh? For some reason I find like I forgot to do something earlier..." The ghost boy thought, after sneaking out.

He tried to recall what it was.

"Hmmm...oh well. If it was super important than I wouldn't have forgotten it so quickly..." Danny thought as he found his way to another room, one that was quiet and still dark.

"That was close..."Danny muttered as he wondered how Makoto is doing now and if Minako was getting ready.

He decided to put his stuff down and get some sleep. Even so, he couldn't stop thinking of Makoto.

"I wonder what she's thinking about right now?..." He thought, as his mind was still on the elegantly courageous and tall Japanese girl with really pretty green eyes.

He also recalled Minako and knew he'd have to be ready for her.

"Now it's time for my biggest fan from this side of the Pacific..." He thought, feeling both nervous and excited about their upcoming date tomorrow.

Elsewhere

Makoto was still in her room, dressed in her PJs and getting ready for bed but she was not sleepy.

No, she was still excited and even love stricken from tonight.

She still had a blush and grin on her face as she still felt her cheek tingling from the kiss from Danny. She still couldn't believe it but she was happy.

"Danny-kun~..." She sighed happily, looking more love-sick than she usually does around boys.

She still couldn't believe that she not only went out with Danny but also got a kiss from him, albeit on the cheek, but she's not complaining.

Not at all.

She still had her hand on that cheek, almost as if letting go would make the memory disappear.

Even as Makoto laid on her bed, once she thought about all the events from her date with Danny that lead to him kissing her on the cheek at her front door made her legs go weak.

"He actually chose to kiss me!..wow..." She thought, nearly squealing in delight.

The boy she had been thinking about these past few says kissing her was the highlight of her day.

Makoto then heard her cell phone ring and saw that it was Usagi. The tall girl quickly answered.

"Moshi moshi..." She said.

"Hi Mako-chan. How are you? Did you make it back home okay?..." Usagi went.

"Usagi?..." Makoto went.

"Hold on, Mako chan. They others are here. Let me put you on speaker phone..." Usagi said and the rest of Sailor Guardians, sans Minako, and Mamoru were joining the call.

"Hello Makoto-chan. This is Ami, I hope you're still upset with us from our earlier actions today..." Ami said.

"Hey Mako-chan, it's Rei. Sorry for calling you so last at night. You can blame Usagi for this..." Rei said.

"Hey, how come I'm to blame for gathering everyone into a group phone call?!..." Usagi responded to Rei's comment over the phone.

"Hello Kino-chan. It's Mamoru Chiba. Apologies for the sudden call. We were dragged into this..." Mamo said.

"Like I thought..." Makoto thought.

"So, come on...how was your date? Don't leave us hanging?..."Usagi pleaded, really wanted to know.

Makoto frowned, recalling their little stunt from earlier.

"After what you guys pulled today, I don't think I should tell you guys how our date went..."Makoto said.

"But Mako-chan..." Usagi tried.

"I'm serious, for the time being my lips are sealed..." Makoto said, being stern.

"Aw, you're so mean, Makoto..." Usagi whined and the tall girl could just imagine her pouting right now.

"Fine, if you're all that curious, then I'll just mention one thing about my date with Danny-kun and leave out the rest. That way I can tell you all about it face to face..." Makoto said seriously, before cracking a smile.

"Come on, tell us. I wanna know!..." Usagi pleaded, sounding like a child with a tantrum now.

"Please hurry, or Usagi will never shut up..." Rei was heard complaining.

"I will tell you this much. ..my date with Danny...it was nice..." Makoto said, as she spoke in a much more nicer and smoother tone, especially at the end.

"Just nice?..." Usagi said in a knowing, teasing tone.

Makoto blushed and could barely keep it to herself for much longer.

"Okay...it was amazing. The best date I've ever been on!..." Makoto said as she even squealed out of pure joy into her pillow.

"Really!?..."

"What happened after we left?..."

"Tell us more!..."

"Well, you all already know how it started more or less. Given you were watching us..."Makoto said as her friends began to ask for more details about what happened.

Makoto only said that was on a need to know basis.

"Danny-kun. I wonder what he's thinking about right now?..." The tall girl thought, smiling as she thought about Danny and how much she enjoyed her date with him.

"Actually, on second thought. I think I will save the rest of this conversation for later tomorrow. Plus it will give me something to do when Minako-chan takes Danny-kun out for their date together..." Makoto said.

"Fine, that's more than fair..." Usagi said, as everyone else agreed to that sentiment.

Makoto noticed that Minako herself wasn't there in the phone call.

"I bet she's getting prepared right now..."Makoto thought, knowing that Minako was likely getting ready for her date with Danny.

The tall girl tried to ignore the slight feeling of jealousy she experienced and hung up, deciding to get some rest. .

Meanwhile

Artemis just snuck into the house and let out an exhausted sigh.

"What a day. At least Minako wasn't the one who caused trouble...I guess..." The white cat thought as he made his way through the corridor.

Just in time to see his female friend/protoge/"owner". He went go check on Minako and see how she's prepared for her date with the half ghost boy.

Minako was in her room going over all her notes on the locations she plans to bring Danny to on their date tomorrow. She frowned when she noticed her cat.

"Where have you been, Artemis?..." Minako asked, since she hadn't seen the white cat for awhile today and was kinda worried about him.

"Don't ask, Minako. I'm a little too exhausted to explain how my day went..." Artemis said, not wanting to tell her about the spying.

Or the reason for said spying.

Minako sent him a confused look but shrugged.

"Whatever. Anyway, come check this out. You are not gonna believe the outfit I got for my date with Danny! It's so cute!..." Minako gushed, as she brought out her new outfit from her shopping bags.

"Huh, not bad. But knowing how serious you usually are with boys and dates, I should've expected as much..." Artemis said.

"As if there was ever any doubt I'd find the perfect dress to go on Danny's and my first date together..."Minako said with confidence.

"You really are overconfident on this..." The cat pointed out, while his friend waved it off.

"I'm not worried. Makoto might have gone out with him first but you know what they say: The best act is saved for last because the first is the opening act..." Minako said, mangling her sayings again.

Artemis sighed.

"It's " They always save the best for last"..." The male cat corrected.

"They can say that too..." Minako said with a shrug.

"That's the only way to say it..." The cat thought and immediately slaps his feline fur face with his cat paw.

"Whatever. The point is that I'm fully prepared to win over Danny's heart with my wit, charm, humor, natural beauty and my planned out date for tomorrow..." Minako said with a grin.

"Well, one thing you aren't missing is your confidence...and ego..."The cat snarked while his human companion kept working on the finishing touches of her plans for her date tomorrow.

The Next Day

Danny yawned, taking a sip of coffee he had picked up at a nearby diner before he continued walking.

Since staying at that motel was no longer an option due to lack of vacancies (since another couple who were celebrating their anniversary showed up to his room), he had to leave.

He managed to find a nearby room for rent that was currently vacant and managed to slip in unnoticed thanks to his powers.

"Lets just hope no one rents that place until I am ready to go home..." He thought, as he made it to his destination.

He arrived to park bench at the corner of the Juuban local park, which was about a block away from her house and checked his watch to see that it was already 9.

Now it was time for his date with Minako.

"This is the place. I hope I'm at the right corner..."He said, as he glanced at the flowers he picked up on his way here.

It didn't seem right for him to give flowers to Makoto and not do the same for Minako, all things considered.

Not to mention, even if he was still unsure of this whole arrangement, he wanted to make sure that she had a good time too.

The half ghost boy was currently getting a bit nervous, since he's never been on two dates in a row before. Especially with two incredibly pretty girls with superpowers.

"Two dates in a row, with two girls who'd give Paulina a run for her money in the looks department And completely out classing every other category too. It's like a dream come true. I almost hope that I don't wake up..."Danny thought, finding it hard to believe his luck.

"I also hope that I don't end up looking like a dork to her..." He thought, concerned about how this next date might go.

He checked his outfit which was mostly the same, but he used a blue hoodie that Ami gave him as a spare just in case.

Anyway, he was ready for his date but Minako isn't here yet.

"Did I arrive to the right place?..."He wondered as he glanced at his watch.

As he waited for his date, he decided to remain in the spot he was standing and continued waiting. Thankfully there was a park bench nearby for him to sit down on while he waits.

"I don't think I have to wait too long, given how much she likes me. Maybe a little too much..." He thought.

Danny was worried about comparing his next date with Minako to the one he just went on with Makoto yesterday. He knew that he shouldn't be making comparisons, especially since he was going on a date with Minako soon. He can't just say he likes Makoto more and thinks it fair to give Minako a shot.

He knew that he shouldn't be recalling his time with Makoto when he was going out with another girl today. Right now, he needed to focus his entire attention into his current date with Minako.

After a few minutes, his date arrived.

"Hello, Danny-san~..." A cute sounding voice was heard, sounding flirtatious.

Danny felt a blush form as he turned to see whom he would be spending the day with.

It was Minako Aino, his date for today.

However, once he saw her, the ghosts boys jaw dropped as he saw her current appearance. Minako was already pretty before but today she was even more so, if that was even possible!

The pretty blonde girl long hair was freshly washed, styled, lightly perfumed, curled at the end and neatly held together with a cute pin on her side. She also had her signature bow in her hair.

She is also currently wearing a cute yellow mini dress with an orange ribbon and short long-sleeved red jacket, along with a pair of surprisingly comfortable looking orange high heels. She also wore the new perfume she purchased yesterday that gave her an alluring scent that gave her a tropical aura around her.

Danny also noticed that she was wearing some makeup too, just enough to highlight her natural good looks.

The ghost boy was stunned by how she looked right now, even speechless right now.

"Wow..." He let out without thinking, which she heard loud and clear.

"Aw, thanks. You clear up pretty nice yourself..." Minako giggled, returning the complement.

Danny snapped out of his trace, gulped and felt a little embarrassed.

"Darn it Fenton! Think before you speak!..." He thought, as he tried to pull himself together and not come across as a dork.

"Anyway, I'm so sorry for being so fashionable late for our date. I hope you weren't waiting too long..." Minako said, trying to look cute to him.

"Its okay, I wasn't waiting long..." Danny said, being polite.

"She's only a few minutes late. Certainly not worth mentioning..." He thought to himself.

"So?..." Minako asks with a big smile.

"So?..." Danny nervously responded.

"What do you think?..." She gestures to her new dress, with a big grin on her face.

"She definitely went all out..." Danny thought, his face feeling as if it were on fire.

"So? What do you think of my outfit? Pretty hot, huh?..." Minako went, sending him a coy look.

"Yes. You definitely look amazing..." Danny said, being sincere.

This made the blonde girl blush and feel happy. She sent him an appreciative smile.

"Thank you, it was jut something I threw together. Kind of at a moment's notice..." Minako said, lying as she didn't want him to know that she spent most of yesterday shopping until she found the right outfit.

The half ghost boy then remembered the flowery bouquet he had for the orange cladded Sailor Guardian.

"Before we our date officially starts, Minako..., these are for you..."Danny said as he handed her the bouquet of flowers.

The pretty blonde girl eyes light up in excitement, as she quickly took the flowers.

" Oh, Danny...for me? You shouldn't have!..."Minako said, as she admired the floral gift.

"I figured that I should start off this date with something nice and classic..." Danny said, happy that they seem to be getting off to a good start.

"This is so sweet. I also have something for you..." Minako said in a sing song voice.

Before Danny could ask, he felt a pair of soft lips on his right cheek for a moment.

"Muah!~..."

The end result was Danny blushing as red as his date's red jacket,, while Minako smiled at him.

"I...uh...wow...um...didnt expect that to be honest..." Danny stammered, surprised to be kissed by Minako so soon in their date.

"Well, it's not everyday that a cute guy goes the through the extra effort to gift me with a lovely bouquet of flowers. I figured I could this, just this once..." The pretty blonde said with a giggle, clearly enjoying his shy reaction.

The half ghost boy tries to regain his composure and move on with their date.

"Anyway, we should probably get going. We have the whole day ahead of us after all..." Danny said.

"You're right, lead the way Danny-san..." Minako said, as she hugged his arm and snuggled into it for extra effort.

This caused the ghost boy's focus to get split between what he sees in front of him and the girl who is a little too close now.

He gulped, feeling his usual nervousness around girls acting up again.

"Oh no! Don't get weak kneed now, Fenton! Geez! Why does she have to be hotter than any girl I know at school?!..." He thought, slightly bitter but also glad his pants didn't fall down like that time with Paulina.

Which only got a little worse when Minako kept getting closer to Danny.

"I am really looking forward to our date today, Danny-san..." She said sweetly, as she held his arm closer, smiling widely.

"Um...uh...g-glad to hear that..." Danny stuttered, trying to keep his cool but couldn't stop his heart from beating faster from his current situation.

"So far so good.." Minako thought, thinking her plan is working.

"Relax Fenton, remember to breathe..." Danny thought, trying to keep his hormones in check.

Danny and Minako soon left the area, with their first official date beginning.

A little later

Danny and Minako continued walking to their destination. Minako still held his arm and Danny was still to shy to say anything about it.

As they walked, they chatted and got to know each other a little better along the way and Danny tried hard not to act too dorky or nervous around the pretty, flirty girl.

"So, mind giving me a hint to where we are going?..." Danny asked, still shy around her.

Minako sent him a playful smile.

"Oh, it's a surprise. I have our whole date planned out and there's plenty of places that you haven't visited yet..." Minako said, as she secretly checked her notes that she kept in her red jacket's pocket.

"Okay, looking forward to it..." Danny said.

The two teens continues to walk and Minako kept trying to get closer to the ghost boy.

Even going so far as hug Danny's arm even tighter, which made the ghost super-powered teenaged boy's face turn red for a number of reasons.

"There are just as many reasons why I want her to let go as I want her not to..." He thought as his date kept holding onto his arm like a teddy bear.

"Say Danny-kun, I know we've only known each other for about a week or so. But is there any chance that you could refer to me as Mina-chan? At least for today?..." Minako asked, as she fluttered her eyelashes at him.

Danny saw this, blushed and gulped a bit.

"Uh...okay...Mina...chan..." He said, avoiding eye contact.

"Aw, he's being shy. That's so cute..." Minako thought, as she kept up her antics.

"So Danny-kun, how are you liking Juuban so far?..." Minako asked out of genuine curiosity.

"It's...okay..." Danny said, still a little anxious.

"Anything... or anyONE, in particular catches your interest?..." She asked with some flirtation to it.

Danny couldn't seem to answer her question. Since the half ghost boy made a slight cringed expression that didn't go unnoticed by Minako.

"Am I coming off too strong?..." She thought, as she decided to just ask.

"So...I get the feeling I'm a bit much, huh?..." Minako asked, starting to see her actions aren't as enjoyable for him as she thought.

"Well...you're not wrong..." Danny said, afraid of upsetting her.

"Was I trying too hard to impress you or not enough? Or is it my perfume?..." She said, while her date decided to be frank with her.

"Look, no offense...you're a really pretty girl Mina...and a huge part of me is still amazed you even noticed me even when I'm in my human form but...well, I'm just not used to...so much..attention from a girl..." He confessed, hopping he didn't sound lame.

Thankfully, Minako sent him an understanding smile and sympathetic to Danny's feelings.

"I'm sorry...I get it. Maybe I was being a bit overwhelming. It's just...I like you and I want you to like me too but I get it. Maybe I was being a bit much. I'll try not to get too up close and personal for now..." Minako said with an apologetic smile.

"That'd help..." Danny admitted as his face was still bright red.

"Okay. I'll try and tone it down..." Minako said, as she stepped back a bit to give him some space.

"Thanks..." Danny said, happy to see she understood.

Now that she was easing up, he could enjoy being with such a beautiful girl.

"I'm actually feeling a lot better. She really is a nice girl...just a bit too eager..."Danny thought, feeling more at ease around her now.

They soon arrived to the first stop for their date, which surprised the ghost boy.

"Here we are..." Minako said cheerfully.

"Karaoke?..." Danny asked.

"Yup, I love this place and all the songs they play and let us sing! They have the best songs and snacks! But if you don't like it, we can go someplace else..." Minako said, almost bashfully at the end.

"Actually this sounds fun. Okay, I'm gamed..." Danny said, making her happy.

"Glad to hear that..." Minako said, already having a plan in mind.

"I can't wait until he hears my singing. I'll dazzle him with idol power..." She thought, excited for the potential romance and the chance to show off her singing talents to the half ghost boy.

Hearts threatened to replace her eyes as she composed herself and tried to focus on her plan.

Danny wanting to be polite, held the door open for her.

"After you, Minako..."Danny offered and the blonde girl giggled.

"Oh Danny, how gallant..."His date giggled before she walked inside.

Danny soon followed her inside. The reception area was calming as the two walked to the counter to rent their room.

Meanwhile

Unknown to the two teens, someone was watching them from a distance, clearly spying on the couple.

From the bushes outside, Artemis stuck his head out as he carefully brought a paw out. However, someone spotted him. It was a certain pink haired girl who was also here.

"Let me guess, you're worried about Danny?..."Chibi Usa snarked, startling the white cat out of the bushes.

After a moment, the talkative feline relaxed from his momentary hyperventilation. With glaring eyes, he turned to see the pink haired girl staring at him innocently.

"No!..." Artemis calmed himself after the outburst. "I...just wanted to make sure Mina is ok...and not push things. You know how she can be with romance...right?..." He said.

Chibi-Usa nodded.

"Wait...Why are you here? Let me guess, Usagi put you up to this..."The cat snarked.

"She didn't tell me to do anything. Heck, she probably thinks I'm still at home right now while she is with Mamoru. Besides... I have my own reasons for being here..."Chibi-Usa said., but her attention was on the ghost boy.

Squinting her eyes, at him, she slowly made her way inside, making sure not to bring attention to herself.

"There's no way this Danny guy can just be some fluke in time. His involvement is too weird and unique to go unnoticed in history, even after that lame fight. There's something more going on. I just wish I knew what it was..." She thought, still suspicious of the ghost boy and how he would influence the timeline.

Things may have calm down for now, but this Danny Fenton or Phantom still concerns her.

After all, her Makoto and Minako from the future never mentioned anything about the both of them competing over the same guy they liked when they were both younger, or that he was a superhero from America.

So the fact that Danny Fenton shows up and is on dates with Makoto and Minako right now had Chibi Usa worried about how this will effect her own timeline.

"Just who are you, Fenton? And what role do you end up playing in Minako and Makoto's lives?..." The little time traveler thought.

Tiptoeing underneath the clerk desk, the girl made her way to the door. The door creaked open, grabbing the attention of the man at the desk.

"Oh crud!…"Chibi-Usa yelled mentally.

"What was that?…"The clerk got up to check as was just around the desk.

But a low meow caught his attention as he saw Artemis staring at him.

"Meow…meow…meow…"Artemis mewed with deadpan, while Chibi Usa took the chance to sneak in while he was distracted.

Inside

Danny and Minako were now inside then karaoke lobby.

As they waited for a booth to open up, the two teens continued to chat and get to know each other better. As well as talk about other topics.

"So, is there anything I should know about this place? I mean, I sang karaoke sometimes back home but is there a set of rules here or any limitations for tourists?..." Danny asked.

"Basically, it's not that much different from any other Karaoke places in other countries. We probably have way more Japanese songs though. Don't worry, I'm sure there's a few songs you know..." Minako said as they waited for their turn.

"That makes sense..." Danny said, now wondering if his CW necklace might interfere with any Karaoke singing or not.

He heard that some words don't rhyme in Japanese, so there's a chance he would hear something that sounds nothing like a song. However, he also figured that this might lead to him getting to know Minako better.

Even without this, he already learned a bit about her as a person.

Take away them being secret superheroes and they were just young people going through life.

It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that both Danny Fenton and Minako Aino live very complicated lives. But that didn't mean that their couldn't find way to have fun in between their respective double lives.

Even so, today both superpowered teenagers are going to find some common ground within each on their date and this is the first activity to do so.

"I see that you still like to sing..." Danny said as he recalled how she mentioned she wanted to be an idol.

"I most definitely do, especially since I'm going to become one of the biggest idols one day..." Minako explained, as they noticed the club had several rooms.

"Glad to hear that..."Her date chuckled.

Danny smiled slightly at how this girl who fights evil by moonlight and tries to win his love by daylight has such a zest for singing. Life, even in a completely different country, can be full of surprises.

So, he decided to go through with it and give this a go.

As they waited for a booth to open up, the half ghost boy decided to ask the Sailor Guardian of love about some of her past superheroine antics.

"So, you were already a superhero before you met the rest of the girls?..." Danny asked.

"I was Sailor V..." Minako said proudly.

"Really? What kind of bad guys did you go up against?..." His curiosity grew.

"Oh, mainly the similar bad guys that you've seen me and my friends regularly deal with. Plus some actual human criminals. That kind of thing..." She explained.

"Wow. And all on your own?..." Danny asked.

"You bet. I was pretty much used to be a one woman team. Then the rest of my friends started to awaken too, so I had to head back home and help make sure that they could fully unleash their full potential..." Minako explained.

As Danny said that, he recalled Sailor V having a bow on her head, not unlike Minako or Venus.

"You know, it's funny how I couldn't recognize you, seeing as you and Venus wear that bow on your head..." Danny said.

"I guess so..." Minako said.

"So, why do you wear that?..." He asked.

"Oh... someone I liked said I looked good in it..." Minako admits with a strange look on her face.

"Oh... okay..." Danny said, figuring this must be something personal and decides not to press further.

"Anyway..." Minako spoke up. "Speaking of looks... are you a Puck-Man fan?..." She asked.

"Huh? Who?..." Danny asked, confused.

"Oh, right. I think that he's called " Pac-man" in American. Anyway, your logo looks like one of the ghosts from his game..." Minako said.

"Oh... actually that was my friend Sam's idea..." Danny said.

"Sam?..." Minako asked, before recalling he mentioned some friends before.

"One of my best friends. She and Tucker are...well...they are my team and they help me fight ghosts back home. Sam is goth and can be stubborn, but she is an amazing friend to have. I'm sure you'll meet some day in the future..." Danny said.

Minako smiled.

"Your friend sounds nice, I'm sure we'd become great friends if I meet her someday. Maybe I can even visit your home town one day...if you pick me that is..." The blonde girl said, hoping she can get along with Danny's friends back in his home country.

She had no idea of what Sam would really do if they ever crossed paths with each other.

"I'm not sure about the great part..." Danny said under his breath, which his date didn't hear.

Sam is his best friend and he cares about her a lot, but he knew that she can be pretty abrasive to new people. Hopefully, the ghost boy could soften her attitude towards Makoto or Minako.

Anyway, the two teens continued to chat with each other and wait for their turn, unaware of the people spying on them and eavesdropping on Danny's and Minako's conversation.

They remained blissfully unaware as their date continued.
