From ruin and rot did she derive

To love and fortune she did thrive

The maiden makes offer to Death yet

She and lover will paradise met

O, did he suffer, did he cry

All his sons were claimed to sky

He did cry, and he did wane

Above the tombs, alone in pain

So did he wane, did he fast

On the sofa, dreamings past

He did fast, he did gaze

Upon his blood, for future days

O, how he suffered, o, how he cried

A nurtured pup, and his happy sigh

Deep inside, his past self stares

Fearing the rain, hating the hail

The king on his throne beyond the pale

Daggers in pairs, three strands twice braided

The castle doth find itself invaded

Itchy fingers creak like leather

Float and sting, light as a feather

Kind man and child make the heart swell

Though bedsore hatred in it dwells

Crosses, hooks, none mistook beat

The broken solar makes the hand sweet

Pulling the oceans to her breast

She puts the pestle to its test

Inside the graceful rind she doth find

Loathsome delights, violent blights

Not so cruel, crosses stars, under breath, curses Mars

Measured, refined, folded in honey, applied to gaping appendages bloody

With child, the night face pours her heart

In the drown bath, for his mend to start

She calls to East, chasing wine

Hair in hand, axe to grind

Thorns and fangs scrape supple flesh

Gently grasp her, whisper this:

Be still, be calm, honored guest

You came so far from the West

This light you bring burns so hot

Your temper and fury, they scare us naught

Soak in pools, rest in furs

A spirit like yours, in those twelve blurs

No longer light these empty halls

So be still, be calm, your act, it falls

Well-met you are within these walls.

It is in its nature

For a storm to away with possessions

For how could a skin

Keep it from this obsession?

O, how low we see you fell

Bathe in sweet light of the dark well

Death left you forbidden fruit

The meat of which, corrupt absolute

Eyes well and sting, if only you could be him

With he eating you, nourish within

If you would not die, then live you must

His empty gaze betrays no trust

The taste of the sweet, it taints you so

The sin committed, to judgment you go

You swallowed fellow man, so the desert swallowed you

Across these cursed sands, you are the gales blew

As they all laugh, you carry truth, carry gloom

Did they think a cold grave for him would make do?

The body of his partner made a better tomb.
