Amira walked in to see people sitting at desks with black folders on them.

"Please find a seat at one of the areas where a folder is at." Mr. Bean said walking down to the front of the room.

Amira walked down the stairs and took a seat in the bottom row. Hisoka and Illumi took the last two seats available. One across from Amira and one a few seats back.

Just as things were starting to get started the doors flew open. Everyone looked up to see Gon standing there furious. He stormed down the stairs glaring at Illumi.

"You need to apologize to Killua." Gon said glaring at the man and reaching out to grab his arm.

He turned to him. "For what?"

Gon glared and his hand tightened.

Amira stood watching in fear for Gon. This guy was creepy, and she feared what would happen to Gon if Illumi attacked.

"You're not qualified to be his big brother." Gon said glaring.

Illumi looked away. "I didn't know I had to qualify."

Gon jerked his arm and yanked Illumi out of his chair. The man flipped up and landed on the other side of Gon with a tilt of his head.

Amira jumped up and over them landing to face the two with her back facing the examiners. Her fingers flowed lightly with nen as she prepared to help Gon.

"Friends don't have to, either. He gets to choose!" Gon said as his hand tightened on Illumi's arm with a crunch.

Amira stared in shock as she watched. She had seen enough about an injured person to know Gon had hurt Illumi.

"Don't bother apologizing. Take me to see Killua." Gon demanded while glaring.

Illumi tilted his head. "And what will you do?"

Amira watched wearily. The man before Gon was giving off vibes that made her skin crawl.

"It's obvious. I'll bring him back." Gon said in annoyance.

"From the sound of it, you must think I kidnapped my little brother. He left on his own accords." Illumi said.

"He left but not by free will." Gon said with a sorrowful look. "You guys were manipulating him. That's the same as kidnapping."

"Gon, Calm down. We will find Killua." Amira said moving closer to the boy and placing a hand on his shoulder. "He is one of us and we don't abandon our own."

Gon looked up at her in encouragement while Illumi tilted his head observing the girl.

'very interesting.' He thought.

"We were just discussing that very subject, Gon." Chairman Netero said with a smile. "Kurapika and Leorio have both logged complaints. The committee has been reviewing the match and Killua's disqualification."

Kurapika stood up. "You saw Killua. He was acting strange during and after the match with this man. Killua must have been hypnotized to kill that man."

"The match happened during my match. I'm the one that should have been disqualified since it's possible he was aiding me." Leorio said with a look.

"There's no proof." Netero said. "There were no clear indications that he was to commit murder."

Amira sighed and closed her eyes. Everything was definitely going to hell in a handbasket. She ignored the conversation around her and stared at Illumi.

The man was looking at Gon with a blank look. The way he stared at Gon was like he was dissecting him. She continued to study him as his eyes suddenly shifted to her.

Amira didn't know if he hypnotized Killua or not, but she quickly looked away. The man gave her chills.

Everyone jumped as Gon suddenly screamed. "This is completely pointless."

Eyes all turned to stare at the 12-year-old boy standing there.

"Why argue about whether somebody should have passed? If you're not satisfied that you made it, you keep working until you are. If killua wants to retake the hunter exam, then I know he'll pass." Gon said with a determined look. "But still, if you've been forcing killua to murder people against his will, this whole time I will never forgive you."

Amira winced as Gon's fist tightened further. It had to hurt.

"Never forgive me? So, what will you do?" Illumi asked.

"I won't do anything. But after I go rescue Killua, I will make sure you never see him again." Gon said with a determined look.

"That won't do." He said with a dark stare.

Illumi reached out to touch Gon. Amira and Gon jumped back away from him. She shifted between Gon and Illumi. Her hand was resting on her blade attached to her leg.

"Let's continue. You have the choice to decide if you are worthy of your license. You may do with them as you please. You all have passed." Netero said with a look at Mr. Bean.

The man stepped forward. "I shall continue with orientation. These cards passed out are your hunter's license. You will be able to enter 90 percent of the countries that limit immigration as well as 75 percent of restricted locations. It will also let you use 95 percent of public facilities at no cost and banks will treat you like a top-rated company."

Amira smiled while thinking about all the people she could help.

"You can sell it to last for 7 life times or use it for a life of comfort. Be careful with it. You will not get a replacement if it is lost or stolen." Mr. Bean said. "One in five hunters lose their card within a year of receiving it. Your first challenge is to protect your card. Believe in yourself and make your dreams come true."

"You are all now, licensed hunters." Netero said with a smile.

The group walked out of the room and Gon went after Illumi.

Amira, Kurapika and Leorio shared a look before following him.

"I want you to tell me where Killua is?" Gon said.

"You are really going after him?" Illumi said in confusion. "I think that's a bad idea."

"Who cares what you think?" Gon yelled in anger before huffing in annoyance. "Killua is my friend. I'll get him back, I swear."

"Do they feel the same way?" Illumi asked while observing Amira, Kurapika and Leorio.

Gon turned to see the three.

"Yes. We do." Leorio said

"Fine. I doubt you will get there anyway. I'm sure Kil went back home." Illumi said.

"Where's that?" Gon asked.

"On Kukuroo Mountain." Illumi said. "Our family house is at the summit. Though I doubt you will see it."

Gon nodded his head. "We got it. Thanks a lot."

The boys walked away but Amira walked forward.

Illumi watched as she reached out and took his hand in hers.

"Trying to hurt your brother by keeping him from his friends is a horrible thing." Amira said while raising her hand. It glowed for a second and she pulled out some strips of gauze out of her bag. She reset his arm and wrapped It in gauze. "I may not have known Killua for long but the more you push him to follow your family's chosen path the more he will fight you."

She released his hand and moved back. "I reset the bone, but I won't heal you. You can deal with the pain for the abuse you put on that boy. I don't know what you and your family did to him, but it was wrong. I saw his face during the match when you revealed yourself. No child should have that kind of fear from their family as kIllua did upon seeing you. You disgust me."

Amira turned and walked down the hallway. She didn't notice Hisoka watching.

He stepped out once she was far enough away.

"Was that wise? Giving up your base of operations like that?" Hisoka asked with a smile.

Illumi turned to Hisoka. "It's not a secret. Everyone knows where we live. They will realize how different our worlds are once they arrive."

Hisoka glanced at Illumi's arm.

The man held it up and looked at it. "That boy broke it but at least it was a clean break. What a pain."

Illumi walked to the edge of the walkway looking out at Gon, Amira and the other two.

"The boy is interesting. I can understand your concern for his future." Illumi said before his eyes shifted to Amira.

Gon would need to be dealt with, but he was not sure about the girl.

Illumi's eyes slipped to Hisoka as he could feel the negative aurar from the magician.

"Gon is mine. Don't forget that." Hisoka said with a blank face. "Leave him be or suffer the consequences."

Illume shrugged. "I am very aware. I know your tastes even if I haven't known you for long."

The assassin stopped and glanced at the man. "The girl is mine."

Hisoka frowned and opened his mouth to say something, but Illumi spoke first. "The boy or the girl? You can't have both."

Illumi watched the magician who glared before signing with a nod. The assassin smiled and started walking. "What will you do now with the boy?"

A look came on Hisoka's face before he smiled. "Wait patiently until the fruit becomes ripe and I can pluck it."

Hisoka's eyes turned to Illumi as he turned away. "And the girl? What do you have planned for her?"

Illumi ignored him and walked away. He had a phone call to make to the butlers. It would be better to warn them now about the guests.

ELSEWHERE

Amira was on the phone with her dad. Gon and the others were waiting for her.

"I know dad. I know I said I would come home as soon as I passed or failed the exams, but I have something important I need to do." She said with a sigh before waving a goodbye as Hanzo walked past.

"I'm going after a friend who didn't pass." Amira said with a smile. "He's a dear friend and I would not be comfortable going without seeing him."

Amira sighed. "I know. I love you too dad. Tell mom I said I love her. Bye."

The girl sighed shaking her head.

"Come on, Amira." Leorio called waving to the girl.

Amira ran over and stood with the boys. "Where's Gon?"

"Satozo was speaking to him. We're waiting in the lobby." Kurapika said.

Amira smiled. "I guess we should wait than. I am excited to see Killua again though I'm so annoyed he left like this."

"What will you do when you see him?" Kurapika asked.

"I don't know. I'll either smack him on the back of the head for worrying us or hug him in relief that he is ok." Amira said with a shrug.

Leorio snickered. "Bet that will be interesting."

"You three look up where Kukuroo Mountain is, and I will get us some food for the trip." Amira said with a smile.

"Ok. Meet you out front." Kurapika said.

Amira walked to the small store located in the lobby. She grabbed 3 dozen granola bars in different flavors, 8 bottles of water, and, because she felt they would need it, one first aid kit for the trip. She loved the boys, but they always seemed to get hurt.

She walked out to see the boys waiting for her.

"Come on Amira. It's time to rescue Killua." Gon said jumping up and down.

"We have four tickets for an air ship to get us to his home. It leaves in an hour and a half." Kurapika said.

"Ok. Let's go." Amira said.

The four hopped in a cab and were on their way but ended up in traffic.

"What's going on? It feels like we've been stuck forever." Leorio said in frustration.

"We will miss our flight at this rate." Kurapika said.

Leorio started arguing with the driver, but the man huffed about this being the only road.

Gon suddenly sat up. "In that case, lets run."

Amira smiled. "We did do a longer route in the hunter's exam."

Ten minutes later the four were running on the side of the bridge laughing and jumping. They were going to get to Killua.

'Hold on Killua. We are on our way.' Amira said as she tried not to lose focus and keep up with the others.
