"Phase Four of the hunter exam is now officially over! All Remaining Applicants, please return to the starting point at once. You will be given one additional hour to make your way back. If you still haven't returned by the time that hour is up, you will fail the exam. Exchanging badges at the starting point is prohibited. Any attempt to do so will result in immediate disqualification."

Rosabella climbed out of the tree trunk and jumped through the trees out onto the starting point. The woman turned to the girl and waved.

"Hello. You are the first who has made it back."

The 16-year-old moved over to stand before the woman.

Clicking noises were suddenly heard and the girl turned to see one of the two people she did not want to see. It was him. Grittarackur moved forward to stand by the girl. He looked at her.

The girl shuddered as he looked at him.

Hisoka appeared next along with Hanso. Killua appeared next.

Rosabella quickly slipped over to the boy. "Where's the others?"

Killua shrugged. "Haven't seen them."

An old man and the boy with the arrows appeared next.

"We have 2 minutes left." The woman said while looking around.

Rosabella sighed. It didn't look like any of the guys would make it.

The woman looked at the few who were present. "We will check the badges of everyone present."

The woman went through checking badges. Rosabella held up her badge and number 15 with a sigh.

"Only seven have passed." The woman said with a sigh. Suddenly her eyes lit up. "Oh three more. Cutting it close."

"You 10 are heading to the final phase."

On the air ship, Mr. Netero was so excited. "Seven of the nine that passed are rookies? Marvelous!"

Buhara tilted his head. "Has that ever happened?"

Netero sighed, "Well, there has been a trend lately. We'll sometimes go several years in a row without a single rookie worthy of qualifying. And then we'll suddenly have a whole bunch of promising newbies apply. This makes four times since I became chairman."

"By the way sir, what will we be doing for the final phase." Mr. Satsoz asked.

"The group will be participating in a rather peculiar fight." Netero stated with a smile. "Gather the 10 applicants. I wish to speak with them alone."

Everyone gathered and waited.

Mr. Bean stepped out with a smile, "Ladies first so Miss. Rosabella please follow me."

Rosabella walked with the man and entered into an office. Mr. Netero sat on a pillow with a table between him.

"Sit."

Rosabella sat and the questions began.

"Why do you want to become a hunter?" Mr. Netero asked with a smile.

Rosabella licked her lips. "I want to be able to help people. Getting a hunter exam will help with that."

Mr. Netero nodded his head. "Yes. I remember being told you already know nen. If you pass the final stage, I will test you on your nen. If you can prove you know it well, than you will have passed the secret test."

Rosabella nodded her head.

Mr. Netero looked at his note pad before speaking, "Out of the other 9 applicants, who do you have your eye on?"

Rosabella smiled, "Definitely number 405 and 99. They are amazing kids. I think they will do great things."

Mr. Netero hummed.

"Last question. Which of the other 9 applicants, would you least like to fight?"

Chills ran though Rosabella. Two faces popped up in her memory.

Mr. Netero tilted his head. "Are you alright dear?"

Rosabella nodded her head. "Yes. The two I don't want to fight is number 44 and number 301. They are dangerous. There's something wrong with them."

They were soon at the final phase.

Netero was standing there looking like a cat who had gotten into the cream while the other examiners were standing there like they were sucking lemons.

"It's time for the final exam. It will be fighting and I have the bracket ready." Netero said with a laugh. Netero opened it and everyone stared in shock.

Rosabella's eyes went wide. She would not fight until round 4.

Leorio was baffled. "So the only one who passes it the one who gets to the end?"

Netero shook his head. "Nope. You only need one win to pass. Only one person will fail the exam."

Rosabella shook with fear and nervousness. She would only have two chances to win a fight while others would have 5 rounds to win. That wasn't fair.

The way the map went like this.

FIRST ROUND

Group 1 - Gon vs Hanso

Group 2 - Hisoka vs Kurapika

SECOND ROUND

Loser from group 1 vs Pokkle

Loser from group 2 vs Bodoro

THIRD ROUND

"Now let's have the first match begin." Netero said.

-Time skip over fights up to Bodoro vs Leorio -

Rosabella frowned and took Leorio's hand. "Win your match. So I don't have to fight you. I don't want to fight against either you or Killua.

Leorio nodded his head and squeezed her hand.

He moved forward to face his opponent.

"Ready, set, go." The referee said.

Before anything could happen, Killua suddenly moved and stabbed Bodoro in the back killing the man.

"Killua, what are you doing?" Rosabella exclaimed in shocked horror.

Netero frowned. "Killua, you are disqualified for disrupting the match. Leave now."

The boy turned and walked out.

Leorio, Rosabella and Kurapika stared in shock.

"Rosabella and Leorio." Netero called out getting their attention.

The two faced him with every other hunter turning to watch.

"With the disqualification of Killua, you two pass the exam." Netero said with a grave look.

Rosabella's eyes filled with tears while Leorio cursed.

"This isn't how I wanted to win." He said in anger.

Kurapika squeezed Rosabella's shoulders. It was not how any of them wanted this to end.

A few hours later

All but Gon were in a meeting about their hunter license.

Rosabella frowned while looking at it. Her parents would be proud of her.

The door was thrown open and everyone looked up to see Gon standing there.

He stormed down the stairs in anger to Illumi.

Rosabella slowly stood tense and ready to try and intervene.

"Apologies to Killua." Gon demanded

Illumi turned to him with a blank look.

"Sorry? But what for?" the man said.

Chills ran down Rosabella's back. The man was creepy.

"You don't know why?" Gon said clenching his fists.

"no. I have no idea." Illumi said with a tilt of his head.

"You are not qualified to be his big brother." Gon said in anger.

Illumi scoffed. "I didn't know I needed to have qualifications to be a big brother."

Gon suddenly reached out and grabbed the man jerking him up. Illumi flipped and landed on his feet staring down at the boy.

"Friends don't have to either. Killua gets to choose." Gon said. "Take me to see him."

Illumi stared at the boy. "And what will you do?"

Gon lifted his head. "I will bring him back to us."

Rosabella watched in fear ready to act if Illumi did anything.

Illumi scoffed. "You act like I kidnapped him. He left on his own accords. No one forced him."

Gon shook his head. "You guys were manipulating him. That's the same as kidnapping. Take us to him."

Before anything else could happen, Netero stepped forward.

"We were discussing that. Your friends were lodging complaints about this."

Kurapika exclaimed, "You saw it yourself both during and since his match with the man gitarrackur. Something happened."

"Killua was acting strange. I think Illumi did something to him during the match like hypnoses." Rosabella said in anger while glaring at Illumi.

Illumi tilted his head at the girl. "How interesting you think that."

Leorio stood. "It happened during my match. It's possible Killua was trying to help my cause and stop me from having to face Rosabella in the next match. If you're going to disqualify anyone, it should be me."

"It obvious that Killua was not in full control. He should not be disqualified." Kurapika pleaded with the counsel.

Netero sighed. "That is nothing more than speculation. There is no proof of your accusations."

Rosabella sighed as she thought about Killua. Around her the others were starting to fight about the matches.

"Let's not forget the only female in our group who didn't even fight." Polki said with a huff.

Rosabella raised her eyes to look at him. "I had every intention of fighting and winning. Do not throw blame on me because you fought and lost to one strong opponent while the other strong opponent saw you as too weak to waste his energy on."

"Enough. Let's get this over so we can all go home." Hanzo said in annoyance.

"This is completely pointless." God screamed in anger. "If you are not happy with how you passed, you can keep fighting until you do pass. If killua wants to retake it than I know he will pass."

Gon suddenly turned to Illumi with anger in his eyes. "If you have been forcing him to murder people against his will, I will never forgive you."

"Never forgive me. So what will you do?" Illumi asked intrigued.

"I wound to anything but after I rescue Killua, I won't let you see him again." Gon said with a glare.

Illumi reached out to Gon who jumped away.

Mr. Netero coughed. "Alright Gentleman. Let's continue. It's up to each of you to decide if you're worthy of your license. Now, you're all perfectly welcome to complain about the results but our minds are made up. Killua has been disqualified from this year's hunter's exam, but the rest of you have passed."

Mr. Bean moved forward and started explaining the card and the rights under the card. Rosabella stared at the card. It was very important, and she knew that she could not lose it. The girl reached into her bag and pulled out a lanyard with a card holder. Slipping it in, the girl tucked it under her shirt by her heart. This is what she fought for even if she did not get it the way she felt she should have.

Mr. Netero smiled. "We are proud to say that the 8 of you are now hunters."

Everyone split off to collect their things but Rosabella, Illumi and Hisoka.

The three were given separate tests proving they could use and prove nen.

Rosabella left to find her friends. She found them out in the garden.

"Hey guys. Did you figure out anything about Killua?" The girl asked.

Gon smiled. "Yep. We're going to Kukuroo Mountain. It's where Killua is at."

"Where is that at?" she asked.

"No idea." Leorio said with a look before turning to Kurapika. "What about you?"

Kurapika never answered and continued to stare into space.

"Hey man. You listening?" Leorio asked.

"What?" Kurapika said looking up at the other teen.

"Kukuroo mountain? Know where it is?" LEorio asked in confusion.

Kurapika shook his head. "No but we can look it up inside."

"Hey" Hanzo called.

"Hey Hanzo." Gon said.

The bald ninja walked over with a smile. "I'm heading home. Listen if you ever come to my home country, give me a call. I will give you a real tour. No tourist traps."

The four watched him walk away.

"Hey," A voice said.

The group turned to see Polki standing there.

"I'm really sorry for getting all worked up back there." He said.

Kurapika smiled. "I was no better. I hope you forgive me."

Rosabella smiled. "Me as well. I'm sorry."

Pokkle smiled. "No, I only got mad because deep down I knew you were right. I also should have never targeted you, Rosabella. I know you would have fought if given the choice."

He sighed before smiling. "I'm over it so I might as well make the best of it. The question is what I am going to do next. I'm going to become an exotic games hunter and travel the world discovering new species."

"What is that thing?" Gon said pointing at the black book in Pokkle's hand.

He glanced at the book, "you use it to find all kinds of information. Do you have something you want to look up?"

Gon smirked. "Can you look up Ging Freese?"

Pokkle opened it and typed the information in only to frown. "Who is this guy? Everything related to him is behind a tight security system. You need codes to access it."

The others looked shocked.

Pokkle waved goodbye before leaving.

Leorio sighed. "We should have asked him to look up Kokuroo Mountain."

"We're all hunters now. Chairman Netero made that clear. Better if we look it up ourselves without others knowing where we are going." Kurapika said.

"Gon." Mr. Satazo called.

Gon ran over with a smile.

Mr. Satazo held out a folder. "It appears you forgot something."

"Thanks." He said with a smile.

"Do you have a brief moment?" the man said before looking at Rosabella and the other boys.

Kurapika smiled. "We'll wait for you in the lobby."

The three turned and walked to the lobby talking.

A few minutes later Gon appeared.

"Time to find out where Killua lives and rescue him." Rosabella said with a smile.

Gon walked up and took Rosabella's hand. "I don't think you should come with us."

"What?" Rosabella, Kurapika and Leorio said in confusion.

"I don't understand Gon." Rosabella said in confusion and hurt. "Killua is my friend too."

Gon bit his lip before speaking, "I heard Illumi speaking about you while on Zhele Island."

All of the hunters tensed in fear.

"What did he want with Rosabella?" Kurapika said in anger.

Gon glanced at the boy. "He said about possibly taking her as his wife."

Rosabella jerked back in fear. "I would never marry that jerk."

Gon stared at the girl sadly, "I don't think he would give you the choice."

Rosabella bit her lip before looking at them. "You guys will let me know what happens and let Killua know I really wanted to come with you?"

Gon nodded his head. "yeah."

"of course." Kurapika said with a smile.

"Yep." Leorio said with a thumb up.

Rosabella nodded. "Ok. I guess I will go home and show my family my hunter's badge."

The girl hugged her friends and gave Kurapika her phone number. "Call me when you guys get him. I want to have a word with that boy."

Gon nodded. They watched her walk away before looking at each other.

"Let's go find out about Kurakoo Mountain." Gon said.
