Aki sat on the bed with his head in his hands. He looked up when Kai walked in.

"That roommate is no help. She thought Y/N had left for her flight without saying goodbye." Kai said with an angry look on his face.

He walked over to the window glaring out at it before turning and slamming his fist into the wall.

Aki sat up and looked around. "I searched the room. There is no evidence of her being kidnapped. Not that I believed we would find any."

Kai turned to look at him. "What do we do? We need to find Y/N."

Aki opened his mouth to speak when his phone rang. He frowned at the unknown number. Before he could hit answer, a purple gargoyle appeared on the screen and the call was picked up on speakerphone.

"Good evening, gentlemen. I'm sure you are very curious where Y/N is." A male voice said with amusement.

"What did you do with her? If she is hurt, I will torture you." Kai said in anger as he stormed over to Aki.

"Now that's not very nice to threaten your brother-in-law." The man's voice said.

Kai started to say something before Aki held up his hand silencing him.

"You are one of her soulmates, aren't you? Shalnark or Feitan?" Aki asked.

The man laughed. "Not surprised that a renowned treasure hunter like you Aki knows our names. My name is Shalnark. Feitan is with Y/N."

Aki licked his lips. "Is Y/N safe?"

Shalnark huffed. "Of course she is as long as no one tries to come after her. Y/N has a lot to learn and it would be bad if someone tried some misguided rescue attempt. Wouldn't you say, Aki? It would be terrible if Kai tried to do something to take our soulmate from us."

Kai frowned. "You kidnapped her. She didn't want to be with you or the other one."

"She will learn to love us and, if you love your sister, you will not come after her. She will be punished severely for every attempt you try." Shalnark said with a smug tone.

"You would punish her for our choices? How is that proper care for a soulmate to treat their soulmate?" Aki said with anger.

"It would be your fault. Every punishment that she experiences because of you, Feitan and I would make sure to remind her that it's your fault. Every tear that falls would be your fault. Every mark on her skin from punishment would be a reminder of it being your fault. If you love your sister, you will stay away." Shalnark said with a cold tone. "Let this be a reminder if you get any funny ideas. I will be keeping an eye on you two. There is nowhere you can hide that I won't know where you are."

"You think this threat will scare us?" Kai said in anger.

Shalnark laughed. "You might not be afraid for yourselves but what about your wives and children. Aki, your wife, Hana, is a beautiful woman and that daughter of yours, Sasha, is a beauty. She's so excited for her princess party that your wife is preparing right now with the cupcakes they are baking in your kitchen. Let's not forget Kai's wife, Tanaya. She is so excited about the baby you two are about to have. Do you want to know what the gender is? I'd be happy to tell you. She's making a special dessert to give you to let you know about the baby."

Kai and Aki both stared at the phone in horror as Shalnark laughed coldly.

"Don't try me, gentlemen. I have no intention of losing Y/N and I will kill anyone who gets in my way including the baby Tanaya is carrying. I suggest you grieve for the loss of your sister and move on. I know we will work hard for her to forget about you. Have a nice flight back to Zaban City. I'm sure Tanaya and Hana are excited to see you again." Shalnark said before hanging up.

Kai pulled out his phone and called his wife in fear as Aki dropped his head in his hands to cry.

A few minutes later the younger man sat on the bed by his big brother in shock. "How did he know? Tanaya just got the call an hour ago. How did he know?"

Aki shook his head and rose to look out the window.

'I'm sorry Y/N. I wish I could have saved you.' Aki thought in grief.

Kai and Aki left York New City. The day of Y/N's birthday became a memorial in their families.

The two men had to suffer with a letter arriving to each of them every year with a picture of their sister in it as well as a new picture of one of their family members at school or work or out in town. A single piece of paper accompanied the pictures with a reminder of what would happen if they ever came for their sister.

They could only pray that Y/N's mates treated her well especially as the pictures now showed Y/N with two twin blond boys and a little girl with dark black hair.
