Been a while huh? My bad lol, life got in the way a bit but I was finally able to push this out, though it's more of an interlude.
Same warnings as last chapter. Hope you enjoy.

BOOM!
Five figures blur out of the way of a giant fist as it comes crashing down onto the floor and makes a crater in the concrete. The large monster roars out in frustration as it swings once again. This time punching a giant hole in a wall.
The figures land on a high up support beam and observe as the feral youma they were sent to eliminate goes on a rampage within the warehouse. "Tch, that thing's gonna collapse the roof on us if we let it continue. Got a plan Val?"
The one who spoke, revealed to be Moka now in a white low-cut dress with a slit that goes up her right leg. On her arms she wears black armored sleeves with white gloves on her hands, her legs have armored boots of the same color and design while on her neck is her same choker that has the Uzukaze clan's symbol on it.(1)
"If we didn't have the stipulation of causing as little property damage as possible this would be a piece of cake..." the former Tepes princess mutters to herself as she rubs her chin. Over the past few weeks living in Kyoto, their small group had effectively chosen her as their leader due to her having a calm head as well as an analytical mind and thankfully she has taken to the role well.
Valerie is now dressed back in an outfit similar to what she was rescued in; a red long-sleeved dress that ends at her upper thighs, a red and black fur-lined short cape of the same color and the addition of matching boots.
"Oh!" Another figure, in the form of Kunou says as her fox ears perk up and her nine tails swing from side-to-side. "What if I cut off one of its legs? Then we won't have to worry about it moving around too much."
Instead of wearing her usual shrine maiden outfit Kunou is now in a wardrobe that consists of a white kimono top with a triangular cut-out on her chest with red hakama pants that have various bits of samurai armor attached to the waist and shoulders as well as gauntlets on her arm, white tabi socks and red sandals one her feet along with a katana in a black and white sheathe on her hip.(2)
"Well, if you want to do that, you'll have to do it at a time when it's not close to a wall or else it'll wreck that too," Valerie says in reply while biting her thumbnail in deep thought. "It could work but we'll need to herd it away from the walls or any support pillars."
She then looks to Youko, who is dressed in a black sports bra, black biker shorts, with white wrappings around her feet and her green hair tied up in a ponytail, leaving two bangs to frame her face. "Do you think you can use your speed to do that Youko?"
Tapping her chin, the green-haired girl nods, "yeah I can, but I'd like someone to help me with it though. Regenerating from getting squished is not fun," she says with a shudder, remembering the hellish training she had under Yasaka when the kitsune matriarch was in her full nine-tailed fox transformation. "I'd like to avoid that if possible."
"I can help by providing cover for you." The last figure says, revealing it to be Asia in a a modified nun's outfit that consists of a long black habit that reaches her ankles lined by fluorescent blue lines. A black tunic with short sleeves over a white dress that has a slit going up the sides as well as white thigh-high boots. She also has on a white scapular that is topped by a neck protector along with shoulder pads.(3)
Flaring her magic slightly, she reaches into her shadow and pulls out a Glock 17L. During everyone's time training, Asia found herself gravitating more towards Seras' methods of fighting which includes the use of guns. Her favorite being the 9mm pistol in her hands(4)
"With the both of us distracting it we should have an easy time taking it down with minimal damage to the surroundings."
A wide smile comes over Valerie's face at Asia's suggestion, so she nods. "Good idea Asia, let's go with that. Then Moka and I can go in for the killing blow. Sound good to everyone else?" She asks while looking around at everyone.
Getting voices of agreement, she stands up, "alright, let's go with that then." Lifting up her index finger, she stabs it into her right palm, letting a trail of blood flow out before it forms a long blood-red double-ended spear that she has to use two hands to wield.(5)
In response to Valerie pulling out her blood weapon, Youko decides to do the same by bashing her fists together so her knuckles bleed. As if having a mind of its own, the blood crawls over her hands, eventually forming a pair of red grappling gloves that have spikes on each knuckle.
"Alright Youko, Asia, distract it!"
""Right!""
Wasting no time, Youko leaps from her place in the rafters and lands right on the youma's face, making it swipe at her but before it can connect, she disappears in another blur, landing on the floor.
Just as it is about to take another swing at her, a shot rings out, nailing it right in the side of the head thanks to Asia, who is on the move as well, using her newfound agility to hop from support to support.
The monster roars out as its attention is split between the two vampires, unknowingly being drawn to the middle where Kunou is waiting in an iiado stance with a large, fanged grin.
Tightly gripping the hilt of her katana as the beast gets closer, the young fox yokai rapidly unsheathes it in a blur of motion with a sharp blade of wind accompanying it that is quickly enveloped by blue foxfire produced by her youki. Fox Breathing, First Form: Quick Claw!
The youma's leg was easily separated at the shin, the fox fire quickly cauterizing the wound before any semblance of regeneration could be enacted.
Following up on the action, Moka disappears from her place next to Valarie and reappears under the youma. Flexing her leg muscles, she takes off into the air and plants her heel directly into the chin of the beast, shattering its jaw and snapping its head up.
Meanwhile at the same time, Valerie uses her wings to float above it with her spear at the ready, pointed at the top of the youma's head.
Using a blast of wind magic to shoot herself downward, Valerie coats her blood spear in lightning just as she makes contact with its head, piercing a large hole through its brain and out the other side, landing on the ground with a large boom.
Standing up from her knelt position as the beast falls over dead, the former princess of Tepes can't help but grin. Her life had finally become fulfilling over the last few weeks after being taken from her clan by Shinobu, Naruto and Tsubasa. Thanks to them she's stronger than she ever thought possible and has plenty of friends to back her up as well in case her former kinsmen come after her.
"And soon enough I'll find Sophie.." sha adds in her mind, looking down at the black hair tie on her left wrist, remembering the friend she helped flee from their clan.
"Hell yeah, second one for the night down! Nice finishing move Valerie." Moka says with a feral grin. They were given the task of hunting down as many of the wild youma as they could within Kyoto as a sort of test to see if they were ready for the supernatural world before heading to Kuoh.
Next to the silver-haired vampire, Asia bounces up and down with excitement, "Lady Amaterasu is surely smiling down upon us as we prove ourselves." the former nun says as she rolls up her sleeves to pat her flexing bicep, showing the incredible muscle growth she's had since she began her training.
Seras' idea of using her sacred gear to constantly heal her muscles every time they tore brought amazing results, making it so she could be the type of healer that could be on the frontline as well.(6)
Valerie smiles, showing off her fangs as well as she nods, "right. We should move on to the next youma. Kunou, can you find it for us?"
The fox yokai nods and closes her eyes in concentration. Soon enough a sphere of red aura surrounds her before it collapses in and turns her eyes, hair and tails a deep crimson red in a burst of energy that causes the wind to pick up as various markings of the same color crawls its way across her skin, including under her eyes and forehead, making a flame-like mark.(7)
This was her mastered senjutsu form.
While at first she could only use it for a few minutes at a time, thanks to rigorous training under both her mother and Tsubasa, it was almost as easy as breathing.
Kneeling on the ground and placing her hand on it, she sends a pulse of chakra out through her palm. After a few seconds, she stands back up with a smirk, her canines shown prominently thanks to the wilder state her senjutsu form puts her in.
"I found another one ten kilometers northeast making its way toward Kyoto. Since it's out of the city we can go wild~" she titters with a lick of her lips.
Just like Tsubasa and even her mother, Kunou tended to get a little feral when using senjutsu. Making it so she was just a bit more bloodthirsty and eager for a fight.
"Race you guys there!"
Before anyone could say anything further, the fox yokai takes off in a burst of speed, shattering the ground beneath her as she leaps through a hole their previous quarry made.
"Hey, no fair!" Comes a sudden shout from Youko as she quickly does the same, disappearing in a blur after Kunou.
Moka just shakes her head and extends her wings, "come on you two. If we don't hurry the damn thing will be dead before we get there."
Asia nods as she does the same, "though you have to admit. It is wonderful how excited they are to offer yet another enemy to Lady Amaterasu."
The silverette just scoffs as she and Asia fly away, "yeah sure. Whatever you say Asia."
Valerie chuckles a bit and unfolds her wings as well. She's just happy her life turned out this way.
On a roof across from the warehouse, Tsubasa, Shinobu, Seras, and Redcurrant watch as Valerie finally takes off after everyone else and the faerie of them lets out a chuckle while floating around in the air. "My, they certainly took that one out quickly~"
"Hell yeah, Asia's also getting pretty good with her gun too," Seras says with a wide, fanged smirk as her red eyes twinkle with pride. "She's improved a lot over the last month."
Shinobu nods, "Valerie too. To think she could barely stand when we took her from the clan. Moka and Youko are doing really well too."
"And Kunou has a good grip on that new breathing style she came up with as well as her use of senjutsu," Tsubasa adds with her own smirk. "It's a shame Yasaka and Naruto had to stay back and couldn't see it firsthand."
"What did they have to hang back for anyway?" Redcurrant asks with a tilt of her head, getting only a shrug from the nekoshou in response.
"I dunno maybe it had something to do with us going to Kuoh soon."
Shinobu sighs and stands up, "well either way I'm sure we all agree the girls passed their little test, with flying colors I'd even say."
"I agree," Seras says with a nod of her head, "they can coordinate well and have a great handle on their own abilities."
"Yup, all good here," Tsubasa agrees with a large smirk.
Redcurrant giggles, "well let's go tell them the good news~"

As for their clan head, he was currently in the hardest fight of his life.
Water Breathing, Second Form: Water Wheel!
Naruto flies through the air, his blue blade gleaming in the moonlight as he goes into a front flip, a circle of water following his swing, only for it to be caught by his foe, stopping him dead in his tracks.
Sucking on his teeth in frustration, he unseals his other blade and quickly unsheathes it.
Thunder Breathing, Fifth Form: Heat Lightning!
The blonde rapidly swings his sword upward, bringing with it a giant bolt of purple lightning that forces his opponent to release his hold of Naruto's other katana. But not one to leave an opening alone, Naruto seals away his blue blade and slashes his other several times in a way that is all but a blur.
Thunder Breathing, Sixth Form: Rumble and Flash!
The bolts of lightning shoot forward, each one of them hitting their intended target, which has the side-effect of throwing up smoke. But the blonde knows this isn't nearly enough to keep his opponent down, so he settles into an iiado stance and flares his large magical power to an amazing degree as purple lightning radiates around him in every direction.
Gritting his teeth and getting even lower into his stance, he sucks in his breath deeply as his eyes turn pure white with lightning coming from the corners once he exhales his form is covered by a large, purple Japanese dragon.
Thunder Breathing, Seventh Form: Flaming, Flying Thunder God!
He crosses the distance in an instant, disappearing in a series of purple flashes that has his sword carving an angry trench in the air aimed for his opponent's torso, easily slicing through the body, causing golden blood to spill from the wound as its owner lets out a laugh.
"Not bad boy. If I remember correctly, your father was working on that move before he died," the man says with a grin as his wound steams and heals, leaving not even a mark left as he turns to face the newly adorned clan head, revealing it to be the god of storms, Susanoo. "Yet, you were able to complete it, too bad it wasn't enough."
The god hefts up his kanabo, and channels his godly power into it, surrounding it with a mix of lightning, water, and wind magic. "After all, it was I who gave your clan those gifts." He then rushes Naruto's position, leaving the rumble of thunder in his wake as he swings the large weapon toward the blonde.
In response, Naruto flashes away just as the spiked club craters his previous position and calls forth his other gift, a myriad of purple chains that converge on the god's position and restrain him just as the blonde brings his hands together, glowing with magic Water Bullet, Machine Gun!
Susanoo smirks at the incoming attack and opens his mouth wide, quite literally sucking up and eating the magic, much to the annoyance of Naruto.
"Remember your lessons boy, I was a prolific dragon slayer in my youth, regular water and lightning magic doesn't work on me" the god admonishes as he takes hold of the chains surrounding him, "use your breathing techniques if you wish to have a chance!" He then tightens his grip on the chains and begins swing them around, taking Naruto with them until he releases his hold and send the blonde tumbling in the air.
The god disappears in a flash of blue lightning, reappearing above Naruto's flying form, his spiked club held high, "try harder if you want to pass this little test brat!" Susanoo then swings his weapon down, hitting Naruto dead center in the stomach, making him cough up blood as he's sent rocketing into the ground, creating a large crater with his body. The blonde groans in pain from his prone position, the shell of wind he put up just before to cushion the massive hit sputtering out as he struggles to his feet. Huffing tiredly as he feels his insides slowly heal thanks to his vampiric nature, he stares up at Susanoo with his eyes now blood-red and slitted.
Steadying out his breathing, he taps his chest, pulling out a katana he rarely uses due to its raw destructive breathing style. Its hilt is an abstract shape with eight points in an overlapping pattern, each plate has a forest-green core with a silver border. The sheath is a simple one, being a shade of deep gray with silver marks resembling scars along its length.(8)
Unsheathing the blade reveals a jagged pattern resembling the jaws of a beast in a shade of green along with the kanji for 'Destroy Demons' engraved on the side.
He places the new blade in his mouth after sealing its scabbard, doing the same with his other two katanas, placing the blue in his left hand and the yellow in his right, making the storm god before him smirk.
"Hoh? Tsukuyomi's way of fighting?" he asks with his interest peaked, "when did she teach you that?"
The blonde says nothing in response and rushes forward, while his blades glow with their respective element of magic. Flipping just before he reaches the god's position he begins his attack, slashing all three blades at the same time.
Wind Breathing, Second Form: Claws-Purifying Wind!
Water Breathing, Second Form: Improved, Lateral Water Wheel!
Thunder Breathing, Fifth Form: Heat Lightning!
Smirking as the attacks race toward him, Susanoo swings his kanabo horizontally, casually canceling out all three elements but he is taken by surprise when Naruto suddenly flashes before him, two blade aimed directly at his neck.
Flashing away himself, Naruto does the same and once again appears next to him, prompting the two to play a form of tag that has them flashing all over the area. Purple and blue lightning meet accompanied by the sounds of steel hitting steel, torrents of wind, spouts of water and bolts of lightning until the stalemate is ended with Naruto being bent over with a surprised look on his face due to Susanoo's weapon being buried into his gut. The force of the blow not only sends him flying, but it also causes him to drop his weapons.
As the blonde goes tumbling across the ground and lands in a heap, Susanoo hefts his kanabo onto his shoulder and looks at Japan's newest clan head with a wicked smile, the only evidence of their clash being small cuts that leak gold blood across his body. Though those quickly heal and close. "You've been disarmed, now what will you do boy?"
Naruto struggles onto his hands and knees and spits up a gob of blood, his nature as a vampire once again saving him from permanent injury. Shakily standing onto his feet, he wipes blood from the corner of his mouth before extending his right hand and flares his magic.
A whirling sound comes from his right palm as a sphere of pure, magic takes form. Going further, he coats the ball of spinning death in wind magic, having it coalesce around it in the shape of a shuriken.(9)
Rasenshuriken!
Susanoo's grin grows even wider at the display, "so you've even completed your father's rasengan as well. Color me impressed!" It was then Naruto does something that wholeheartedly takes him by surprise, he threw it.
The rasenshuriken races through the air at the storm god who once again opens his mouth to absorb the wind magic but is once again caught off guard with the technique quite literally exploding in his face in a tornado of wind that leaves him open for Naruto to flash behind him and thrust a fist coated with purple lightning into the god's back, right where his lung would be.
The god widens his eyes and coughs up a glob of golden blood onto the floor but the grin never leaves his face, "you never cease to amaze me in how you rapidly improve Naruto.."
Unknowing of his patron god's praise, the blonde flashes away, leaving a gaping hole in Susanoo's chest, that once again rapidly heals and closes.
The storm god cracks his neck and turns to face Naruto. "That was a good shot boy but it's not enough." He then blurs forward and grabs the blonde by the throat, slamming him down onto the hard ground. "You have one more gift to use boy, my sister has blessed you, use it!" Holding the blonde up, he brings him in close, "breathe Naruto, you already know how to use Amaterasu's gift. Bring it out!"
Gritting his teeth, Naruto begins to do as he's told, taking in air and exhaling in a way that was different from the way he usually does, it was purer, more refined and soon enough whisps of black fire emerge from either corner of his mouth causing Susanoo to grin at the sight.
Slowly but surely, the intensity of Naruto's magical power begins to increase bringing along with a searing heat that would have made even Susanoo let go of his neck at risk of being burned if the god had not covered his hand in water magic but this only delays the inevitable as even that is burned through and the god is forced to let go of the blonde.
Naruto collapses onto his knees, still sucking in air in a way that is gradually becoming familiar to him as a haze of raw heat surrounds his form. His mix of blonde and red hair begins to shine, making it look as if it was set ablaze and his eyes go from blood-red to the color of molten gold. He then stands up, a jet of black flame coming from his mouth as he lets out a large breath before looking up at Susanoo with his eyes aflame.
The two stare each other down, and if one were to stand next to them they would feel the crushing weight of the two's vast magic power.
"It seems you've caught your second wind brat. Ready for round two?"
The blonde says nothing, instead opting to gain distance by jumping backwards and thrusting both his palms forward with the intention to attack. Heat Haze A massive gout of black flames burst forth from his conjoined palms, encircling the storm god in a tornado of pure black flames before he clasps his palms together and collapses the attack on his position that the god then bursts from with his body coated in water magic as he rushes Naruto's position with a wide and feral smile.
"Show me what you can do with your gift boy!" Tsunami!
Susanoo thrusts his fist forward, bringing with it a wave of water that would inevitably crash into the blonde's position.
Flame Mirror
In response, Naruto swings both arms upward, creating a massive wall of flames that cancels out the water attack, generating a large cloud of steam that both fighters run into.
The only thing that could be seen from the outside was the occasional blast of black fire accompanied by lightning or water, the storm god deciding not to use wind as to not amplify Naruto's attacks.
But soon enough, Susanoo rockets out of the smoke in a tumble before Naruto appears above him in a purple flash with his arm cocked back and his fist alight with Amaterasu's godly black flames.
Fire Fist!
He rockets his flame-covered fist forward, striking the storm god straight in the stomach in a blast of flames that sends copious amounts of godly blood spilling from his mouth as he's sent to the ground, creating a crater with his body.
Naruto lands in a heap next to it soon after, utterly exhausted.
Letting out a slight groan, Susanoo stands from his position, his kimono top completely destroyed, exposing a wicked burn scar on his chest along with his torso being riddled with cuts and bruises.
Seeing his opponent stand, Naruto gets to his feet as well, his hoodie long gone showing his own damaged body.
Susanoo wipes blood from his lips but still coughs up more, "that's what I'm talking about Naruto, but do you have anything left to give?"
Breathing harshly yet still looking defiant, Naruto holds up his right hand and yet another spiraling blue ball appears, this time covered in black flames. But just as he goes to take a step forward, his attack abruptly dies out and he pitches forward.
Though just before his face could kiss the floor, a flash of gold fills his vision and he lands headfirst into something soft and warm. Looking up, his now blue-purple eyes see shining gold framed by pure black hair. "Lady Amaterasu…"
The sun goddess looks down at him with a gentle smile, "you did well Naruto. Not many can claim they are able to fight against, let alone harm my little brother," she says as she begins to stroke his hair, "but not only that, you were able to use my gift perfectly. Therefore, I shall not only give you my full blessings to conduct your business in Kuoh, but I also have one last gift for you." She then parts his bangs to expose his forehead and leans forward, planting a kiss.
Her symbol, a black sun, appears where her lips touch before fading into his skin. At his confused look, she chuckles, "it's from the last mortal who received my blessings, in fact, his hair was red at the ends just like yours but that's for you to discover at a later time, rest, you and everyone else has to move to Kuoh soon."(10)
Feeling his eyes become heavy, he eventually does as she says going into a slumber as he continues to be held by the head goddess of his pantheon.
Once he is completely out, Amaterasu stands up and turns to face Susanoo, who had healed from his wounds. "You gave him his sword huh? Would've that you were going to hang onto that thing forever," he mutters while his but sheesh the kid's a fighter, if he went any further I might've had to pull out Magatama Manifestation..."
"It's better to be used in his hands than to gather dust with me," Amaterasu then pouts when she takes a look at Naruto's body that was slowly healing, "don't you think you went a little too hard on him? I've only ever seen you like that when you slayed Orochi."
"You baby him too much sis, plus I couldn't help myself," the god says with a grin as he briefly covers himself in a blue light, repairing his outfit, "especially since he had that super focused look. It reminded me of the way Minato used to fight."(11)
"Whatever," Amaterasu replies with a huff before she snaps her fingers, making the small dimension she made for Naruto and Susanoo's fight disappear and be replaced by the courtyard of the mansion Yasaka resides in.
As soon as they fade into existence said nine-tailed fox rushes up to them, "Lady Amaterasu, Lord Susanoo."
Amaterasu looks at her with a smile, "it's okay Yasaka, he passed the test. He's just exhausted now."
Yasaka smiles when she sees Naruto's sleeping face, "I see," waving her hand, she calls forth a kitsune maid, "please take him to his room so that he can rest."
Bowing, the kitsune does as she's told, walking back into the mansion before Yasaka turns back to the two gods, "would the two of you like to join me inside for tea in celebration? No doubt the other girls will be back from finishing their own trial soon and Lady Inari is already inside."
Susanoo shakes his head in response, "thanks for the invite Yasaka but I think I'll get going, Naruto actually did quite a number on me," he mutters as he rubs the still healing burn on his stomach, "haven't been burnt that bad since Amaterasu got pissed at me for destroying her rice fields…"
After the storm god disappears in a blue light Amaterasu gives Yasaka a smile of her own, "I hope you have a few sweets to go along with that tea."
Yasaka giggles at the glint that appears in her goddess' eyes, "of course Lady Amaterasu."
-Few Hours Later-
Naruto groans as his eyes blink open, still feeling sore from his fight against Susanoo, "ugh, it feels like I was hit by a truck.." Feeling a weight on his right side, he glances down to see Tsubasa snuggled into his side while snoring only wearing a black lace bra and panties.
Smiling, he uses his free hand to rub the top of her head, getting a happy purr from her in response though does wince due to his own soreness.
Taking his hand back, he stares up into the ceiling deep in thought. "Lady Amaterasu mentioned another person who received her blessing in the past, I wonder who he was and what the gift she gave me is."
While he's still confused at the goddess' words he can't help but feel excited. Though it took a lot of pushing from Susanoo he was able to access an aspect of Amaterasu's power he wasn't able to before. When he was first told he received the sun goddess' blessings when he was younger, he thought it only came with a special resistance against both heat and cold but it turns out it was much more.
"To think I was able to use Lady Amaterasu's black flames…" That was something he never expected but he wasn't going to complain though he would have to do more research on the person who wielded this power before him.
However, before he could think about it more, his ears perk up as he hears a rustle coming from under his comforter, "how the hell did I not notice that before? I must've really went through the wringer," he thinks to himself as a mop of pure black hair pops out from under his blanket, bringing with it a pair of gray eyes that have reptilian-like slits for pupils.
Naruto's eyes slightly widen at the sight as a being he hadn't seen in a while pulls herself up, showing the body of a small girl, "hello Naruto."
"Ophis?"
Yes, this little girl was Ophis, also known as the Infinite Dragon God and he's known her since he found her wounded when he was eight.(12)
Ophis tilts her head cutely, moving her long hair to the side just enough for one of her pointed ears to be shown, "I brought the cat as well," she replies in the same monotone voice she's always used.
Just as she finishes her sentence, a dark purple glow comes from under the blanket as well, leading another person to appear in the form of a voluptuous woman with black hair topped by two cat ears and gold catlike eyes, "heya Naru~"
It was at this time Tsubasa finally begins to stir, "bwuh, wutz all that noise?" she tiredly asks as her own purple eyes blink open, looking around until they see the two intruders but instead of becoming angry or freaking out, she smiles brightly.
"Big sis Kuroka, Ophi!"
The now named woman gives her fellow nekoshou a large grin, "hey Tsuba," she begins to say but her smile soon disappears, replaced by a confused scrunch of her nose. Leaning forward she sniffs the both of them, "hey, you two smell like vampires. And now that I think of it I sense a buncha other vampires too, what gives?"
Naruto shrugs the best he could with his sore muscles and begins to explain all that happened in the past month. From the fact he let himself be turned into a vampire to him being the start of a completely new clan directly blessed by four of the main Shinto gods
Ophis narrows her eyes in a way that shows her annoyance, "if you desired immortality, I could have made it so with my power."

(7): This is the same form as blood break from the anime 'No Game No Life'. It looked cool and was used by a fox girl so I added it to Kunou's skillset along with a new breathing style in the form of Fox Breathing.
