Chuck failed to flash for a entire week. Now both Shaw and Beckman decided to bench him. The team got a new mission. The Ring is planning to turn an agent. Shaw and Casey went to catch the bad guys. Sarah stayed behind. She had to deal with something. One of her old missions. A guy named Gaez. Nothing that got Chuck attention.
Chuck wanted to talk to someone but Devon was in vacation with Ellie away from the spy stuff, and how could he talked to Sarah about his feelings for her, he should have run with her in Prague. But he didn't. He thought that Sarah would leave him once she sees who he really was a loser and an idiot. She would've hated him forever. If he was spy maybe he had chance. But clearly he was wrong. Sarah will never love him.
And to make things worse Morgan just fired him as his best friend. He was Morgan's best friend for 22 years. And now... He lost him, like he lost Sarah.
"Chuck?" asked Sarah seeing that he was upset.
"What?" responded Chuck.
"You know you can talk to me right?" asked Sarah hoping that Chuck still trusted her. Sarah knew that she hurt him. She told Shaw her real name. Chuck wanted her to trust him. He waited two years. Every time she rejected him. And he still loved her. But when he rejected her, she reacted poorly. She wasn't mad because Chuck rejected her. She wasn't even mad on him.She was mad at herself. She will lose Chuck to the spy world. If she told him she loved him before he uploaded the 2.0. Why the hell she told Shaw her real name. That look on Chuck's face. Chuck probably thought she trusted Shaw more than him. Which was far from the truth, but Chuck didn't knew it.
"Sarah I trust you. But I just don't feel like talking right now" said Chuck, but what he really wanted to say is that he loved her. That he made the biggest mistake of his life when she rejected her in Prague. But how could have run away with her when he knew that they would've been on the run forever, that he would never have seen Ellie again and most importantly was the fact that Sarah would've abandoned her entire life for him. And he wasn't good enough for her.
Hearing Chuck's response, Sarah felt like she was hit by a train. Why didn't she forgave him. She made worst things to Chuck and he forgave her. Why she didn't do the same? Why was so cruel and cold with Chuck? She loved him and the only thing she did was hurt him.
"Boys we are in serious trouble. The guys I just spoke. They are a potential buyer for the store." said Big Mike.
"Good so we can go home and let them look at the store" said Lester.
"What? No, you idiot! They want to interview us." said Mike.
"Why?" asked Jeff.
"So they can see who to fire and who to keep. Their making cuts and we need to stay united to keep our jobs." answeared Mike
"Ok Big Mike. What's the plan?" asked Morgan
Chuck stopped paying attention and left. He had a lot in his mind. His feelings for the blonde spy who stole his heart, the fact she trusted Shaw, a guy she met only a few weeks ago, more than him and the fact he just lost his best friend. He left and went at his desk to think, to sort out his feelings, maybe find a way to get Sarah's trust and his best friend back. Or at least one of those two tings if not both.
The interviews started. Chuck knew Morgan needed the job so he said that Morgan Grimes is the heart of the Buy More. He used his interview to try and help his friend. Maybe this way he could fix everything. Wishful thinking but all Chuck can do was hope. Hope to regain his best friend.
After the interviews the two men that who conducted them talked.
"You think Bartowsky is Carmichael?" said one of the men
"Yes, boss." said the other
"Ok I think we need to be conservative here. Bartowsky said Grimes is his best friend. I think we can use this to our advantage." said the boss
"And the others?" said the second man
"Terminate them." said the boss.
Author notes: I started this story as a What if? one chapter story, but the more I write I'm thinking about the next episodes. So I plan to continue this story. Hope you like the start pf the story and let's see what comes next.
