Lana and Lola approached the Big Star Door. As they stepped closer, the stars they had collected began to glow around them, forming a radiant aura of light. The door responded to their presence, and with a slow creak, it unlocked and swung open, revealing a grand staircase leading up to a mysterious hole in the ceiling.

The air was thick with anticipation, and the twins knew that Morag awaited them on the other side.

Angus gave them a final nod of encouragement. "Be careful in there. Morag is powerful, and this won't be easy. But if anyone can defeat her, it's you two."

"We're ready," Lana said, her voice confident.

"Lincoln is counting on us," Lola added.

With that, the twins began their ascent up the staircase. Each step brought them closer to their final battle, the air growing colder and darker as they approached the hole. They could feel the ominous presence of Morag looming ahead, but their hearts were filled with determination.

As they reached the top of the staircase, they stood before the entrance to the final challenge—a dark, swirling void that seemed to pulse with malevolent energy.

Lana and Lola jump into the void which the world around them blurred, twisting and warping as they hurtled through the darkness. Time seemed to slow, colors melding into streaks of light until, suddenly, they landed with a thud on solid ground. As the sensation of falling stopped, the twins found themselves standing on a large arrow-shaped platform, its design clearly indicating the direction they were supposed to follow.

"Okay," Lola muttered, catching her breath. "I guess there's only one way to go."

"Let's be careful," Lana said, her eyes scanning the path ahead.

The platform led to a series of stair-like platforms. They weren't ordinary stairs, though—the final platform had a moving section that slid out unexpectedly, threatening to push anyone standing on it into the endless abyss below. The twins approached cautiously.

"I'll go first," Lana said, leaping onto the first platform. She hopped quickly to the next, then the next, keeping an eye on the moving platform ahead. Timing it just right, she jumped to the top platform just as the moving section slid out, narrowly avoiding being pushed off.

Lola followed, her smaller form moving with agility and speed. She made it across without a hitch, landing beside Lana.

"Nice work," Lana said with a grin.

"Same to you," Lola replied, giving her sister a thumbs-up.

Ahead of them was a large block that needed to be pushed. Working together, the twins pressed their hands against the block and heaved, pushing it along the path until it clicked into place, revealing the next part of the course: a massive seesaw.

The seesaw teetered precariously, tilting with every step they took. Lana went first again, moving cautiously across it, staying centered to keep the seesaw balanced. Lola followed behind, mirroring her sister's movements. If either of them stayed in one place for too long, the seesaw would tilt too far, sending them tumbling into the abyss.

Step by careful step, they crossed the seesaw and made it safely to the other side.

"That was a close one," Lola said, exhaling in relief.

"Yeah," Lana agreed. "But we're not done yet."

Ahead of them loomed a large ramp, leading upward toward a sharp bend in the path. The twins dashed up the ramp, their feet pounding against the slick surface. At the top of the ramp, they turned the corner and found themselves facing a spinning platform.

The platform rotated slowly, its surface unstable and ready to throw them off balance. Lana hopped onto it first, steadying herself as it spun. Once she found her footing, she motioned for Lola to follow. Lola jumped onto the platform, and together, they waited for it to rotate them to the next part of the path.

As they reached the next bend, they could see what awaited them: a Ferris wheel-like set of platforms, spinning horizontally through the air. Timing their jumps with precision, the twins leaped from one platform to the next, using the spinning motion to propel themselves forward. It was dizzying, but they moved with practiced ease, their focus unwavering.

After the Ferris wheel platforms, they landed on a small platform with a Whomp standing menacingly on it. The stone creature groaned and raised its massive body, preparing to slam down on them.

"Watch out!" Lana shouted as the Whomp crashed down with a thunderous force, barely missing them. The moment it slammed onto the ground, the twins jumped onto its back, using it as a platform to reach the next ledge.

Just as they climbed up, they were greeted by a burst of flame from a nearby flamethrower. Lola ducked, rolling out of the way while Lana leaped over the fire, narrowly escaping the searing heat. The ledge led to a wider area with another enemy waiting for them—this time, a Chuckya.

The Chuckya eyed them with malicious intent, its strong arms ready to grab and toss them into the void.

"I'll distract it!" Lola called out. She darted forward, waving her arms to get the Chuckya's attention. As it lunged at her, Lana sprinted past, heading toward the platform beyond.

"Got it!" Lana shouted as she reached the next area, and Lola used her quick reflexes to dodge the Chuckya's grasp. She ran after Lana, leaving the enemy behind.

They reached the final section of the path, where a large platform awaited them. In the center of the platform was a Purple Switch, and around it were a set of stairs that were currently retracted into the ground.

"We need to activate that switch to bring the stairs up," Lana said, her gaze fixed on the Purple Switch.

Lola nodded. "Let's do it."

Together, they sprinted toward the switch. Lana pressed it with a firm stomp, and with a low rumble, the stairs began to rise. The twins wasted no time—they darted up the stairs as soon as they appeared, knowing the switch's effect would be temporary.

At the top of the stairs, a large bending platform stretched out before them. Flames shot from several flamethrowers positioned along the path, forcing the twins to time their movements carefully. The air was thick with heat as they dashed between the bursts of fire, their feet pounding against the stone platform.

Lola was the first to reach the end of the bending platform, her agility allowing her to jump quickly to a nearby lift. "Come on!" she called back to Lana, who was just behind her.

Lana made the jump and landed next to her. The lift began to move immediately, carrying them through a series of floating platforms. As the lift moved forward, the twins had to leap across small gaps, careful not to miss a step, as the abyss below beckoned ominously.

They kept their balance as the lift reached the end of its rail. The moment it turned around to head back, they jumped off, landing on the next platform with spinning tiles. The first platform had a flame thrower, which fired off its deadly heat in unpredictable bursts. The second platform was more dangerous, with Bob-ombs wandering aimlessly and Amps circling in erratic patterns of electricity.

"Stick close!" Lana shouted, dodging an Amp as it zipped past her.

Lola nodded, dodging a Bob-omb that threatened to explode nearby. "I'm right with you!"

At the back of the second spinning platform, they saw a tall pole. "That's our way up!" Lola said, already sprinting toward it.

They reached the pole and climbed it swiftly, ascending to a higher level. At the top, they found a platform where two Goombas waddled around aimlessly. Lana dispatched them with a quick spin attack, clearing the way.

Beyond the Goombas were two sliding platforms that acted as bridges over the next gap. They moved back and forth in a rhythm, creating a short window to make the leap. The twins waited for the right moment, their eyes locked on the timing.

"Now!" Lana shouted, and they both jumped, landing on the first sliding platform as it moved forward. A second leap brought them to the next, and finally, they cleared the gap entirely, reaching the solid stone path ahead.

The stone path bent and curved, its uneven surface making every step feel uncertain. At the far end, two Ferris wheel platforms rotated in place, slowly turning in opposite directions. The twins needed to jump between them, timing their movements just right to avoid falling into the void below.

Lana took a deep breath and made the first jump, landing on the rotating platform just as it spun into position. Lola followed, landing beside her. Together, they waited for the next platform to rotate close enough before leaping onto it. The air was thinner up here, making every movement feel more precarious.

They reached the final platform, where three more Goombas awaited. These were no threat, but the strong gust of wind that howled across the area was far more dangerous. The wind threatened to push them back into the abyss, and they had to move carefully, standing behind large stone columns to avoid being blown off.

"Stay close to the columns!" Lana shouted over the roar of the wind.

They ducked behind one of the columns just as a particularly strong gust blasted across the platform. After the wind subsided, they dashed to the next safe spot. Step by step, they inched their way across the platform, using the columns as cover until they finally reached the far edge.

Lola spotted it first: a Warp Pipe glowing faintly at the far end of the platform.

"There it is!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and nerves.

Lana nodded, her heart racing. "This is it. That pipe will take us to Morag."

Lola, however, hesitated, her eyes darting around the platform. "Wait a second," she said suddenly. "If there were red coins in the Dark World and the Fire Sea... there has to be red coins here too!"

Lana frowned. "You think we missed them?"

Lola nodded firmly. "I'm sure of it. Let's go back and check."

Without further delay, the twins turned around, retracing their steps to the starting point of the world. As they moved, Lola scanned the environment carefully, determined not to leave any red coins behind. The journey back through the treacherous course felt just as challenging as the first time, but their purpose gave them renewed focus.

Back at the staircase section, Lola pointed to a glowing red coin floating above the second-to-last platform. "There it is! We'll need to push the block to reach it."

Working together, the twins moved the block into position. Lana climbed onto it first and leaped into the air, grabbing the coin. It sparkled as it joined the tally of collected red coins.

Returning to the spinning platform, the twins spotted a Small Piranha guarding a red coin in a shadowy corner of the stone path. Lana distracted the creature with swift movements while Lola darted in, snatching the coin and rolling away before the Piranha could react.

On the platform below the seesaw, they noticed a small ledge with a red coin glinting next to a trail of regular coins. Carefully timing her jump, Lola landed on the ledge and grabbed the coin, then leaped back to safety with Lana's assistance.

At the bending platform with flamethrowers, they had to move cautiously. A red coin hovered near a cluster of regular coins at the top of the path. Timing her movements between the bursts of flames, Lana dashed forward and leaped into the air, securing the coin.

When they returned to the lift, they saw a red coin floating above the highest wooden platform just past the Spinning Heart. Lola climbed onto the platform first, balancing carefully, and jumped high to grab the coin before landing back with practiced ease.

On the first spinning platform after the lift, a red coin hovered precariously near its center. Lana and Lola took turns stabilizing their footing as the platform spun, eventually timing a jump perfectly to collect the coin.

Back at the sliding platforms, they spotted a red coin floating above the pole connecting the two platforms. Lana climbed the pole and stretched her arm out, just barely managing to snag the coin.

Finally, under the stairs leading to the Warp Pipe, they found the last red coin resting on a narrow ledge. Lola slid down carefully, grabbed it, and scrambled back up with Lana's help.

As the eighth red coin joined the others, a brilliant Power Star materialized behind the Warp Pipe. The twins cheered, the light of the star reflecting their triumph.

"That makes 119," Lana said with a grin, holding the star high.

Lola nodded; her determination renewed. "Now, let's face Morag."

The twins turned to the Warp Pipe, their hearts pounding with anticipation. Without hesitation, they jumped in, ready to confront Morag one final time.
