Firstly, I have a lot to say so I will say it here.

1. I am sorry for not doing anything with the stories over the past few months so much has happened that it isn't even funny.

2. I started my semester in college on August 26, and it has been a cluster-fuck since then. I also have 2 part-time jobs and play college sports, and it has been hell trying to type for you all today.

3. I am also sorry for the fact my fanfic for Naruto: Journey to be the Greatest was lost when my computer crashed, and it wasn't saved properly. I will be continuing the story for Naruto Uzumaki-Senju.

4. Thankfully, I have gotten more time and inspiration to write you some new stories and this MHA fanfic is something that I have been interested in doing for a while.

Now let me explain some of the details to you all. This is a multiple what-if scenario.

This is a story where Deku will have a quirk. His quirk will be something along the lines of Naruto and ATLA (Avatar: The Last Airbender) mixed into one. It will make more sense as the story goes. This will be a progressive story where Deku gets more and more OP overtime rather than all at once. Yes, he will have all the quirks of the previous users eventually and the quirks he is going to receive will seem like he has multiple quirks.

Once again, I am sorry for being away for so long, but I am back. Enjoy my work.

Chapter 1: The Start of a New Symbol

In our ever-evolving world, the landscape of human existence has been dramatically transformed by the emergence of extraordinary abilities, often referred to as "quirks." These quirks, unique mutations that manifest in various forms, have injected excitement, adventure, and a newfound sense of possibility into everyday life. For many years, these abilities lay dormant, hidden within the genetic code of individuals until a sudden evolutionary shift brought them to the forefront. As people began to develop these special gifts, society had to adapt, leading to the rise of both heroes and villains, each group shaping the world in their way.

The dawn of quirks marked a pivotal moment in human history, akin to the discovery of fire or the advent of the Industrial Revolution. Initially, the appearance of these abilities was met with a mixture of awe and fear. Early manifestations were sporadic and unpredictable, often leading to chaos as society grappled with understanding and controlling these newfound powers. Governments and scientists worldwide launched extensive research programs to study quirks, aiming to comprehend their origins, mechanics, and potential implications for humanity. As of now the ratio of people with quirks is about 80% having them and 20% not having them.

One of the most well-known heroes that I admire is a man by the name of All Might. He is the number one hero, and I suppose everyone looks up to him, but I see him as a role model to me.

My name is Izuku Midoriya. I am 14 years old, and I am someone who is referred to as "quirkless." When we come of age, most children start showing signs of their quirks, but I never did. Growing up without a quirk in a world where nearly everyone has one has been challenging. Despite this, I've never lost my admiration for heroes, especially All Might. He's the symbol of peace and the greatest hero of all time. I aspire to be like him, to save people with a smile and bring hope to those in need, even though I don't have a quirk.

And when I say challenging, I mean life in general has been challenging. After going to the doctor and being diagnosed as "quirkless." My mom and dad started to treat me differently. While I don't remember much of them, all I know is that they abandoned me a few months after the diagnosis. Thankfully, my landlord allowed me to stay in the apartment I was living in. He covered the expenses for me, and I am not too sure why. Most of society treats quirkless people like trash for the most part. That was up until a year ago. I told him that he didn't have to do that for me anymore and I could start to get a job. He insisted on paying for half of everything still after all this time.

I began working part-time at a local convenience store, balancing school and work to support myself. It wasn't easy, but I was determined to prove that I could stand on my own two feet. I still do not know how I am to be a hero but I know that I will achieve that dream. I was stirred from my thoughts when I felt someone grab the handle on my backpack and throw me down. I looked up to see a smirking Kaachan in front of my face and sighed. It was always like this.

"Hey Deku, what the hell do you think you're doing?" he said getting closer to him.

Katsuki Bakugo, or Kacchan as I used to call him, has been my tormentor for as long as I can remember. With his explosive quirk and fierce personality, he often made me the target of his frustrations. His nickname for me, "Deku," originally meant "useless," a constant reminder of my quirkless status. Despite our history of friendship from childhood, his attitude towards me changed drastically once our quirks—or in my case, lack thereof—manifested.

I picked myself up, dusting off my clothes. "I'm just heading home, Kacchan. I don't want any trouble," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

Bakugo scoffed, a sneer spreading across his face. "Trouble? Do you think you can just walk around here with that useless grin on your face? You're not a hero, Deku. You're nothing."

His words stung, as they always did, but I refused to let him see how much they affected me. Instead, I focused on maintaining my composure, a skill I had honed over years of enduring his bullying. "I may not have a quirk, but that doesn't mean I can't try to help people," I replied quietly.

Bakugo stared at me for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, with a growl of frustration, he turned and walked away, leaving me to gather my scattered belongings. As I watched him go, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness for the friendship we once had, now buried under layers of resentment and anger. "Hey, Deku!" he said stopping before leaving out the door. "Maybe if you wanted to get a quirk," he said smirking. "Then you should take a swan dive off the roof and hope you get a quirk in the next life," he said leaving the room and leaving Izuku to his own thoughts. At least they hadn't used their quirks against him today.

I started to make my walk home, my mind racing with thoughts of how I could achieve my dream. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was prepared to do whatever it took. I had to become stronger, both physically and mentally. I had to prove to myself and to everyone else that being quirkless didn't mean I was powerless.

I pulled out my notebook full of analyses of people with quirks that I'd seen at some point. Ninety percent of them were heroes in my area. I had always wondered what quirk I would acquire when I was younger, but I stopped thinking about that a while ago. I lost direction of where I was going and didn't realize what was happening underneath me.

3rd Person POV

Izuku looked down to see a thick green substance starting to encase him. He barely had time to react, and the slime began to wrap around his body completely. Panic surged through him as he struggled to break free, but the more he fought, the tighter the slime gripped him. His notebook slipped from his hand, falling to the ground as the green substance engulfed his arms, chest, and legs.

A voice echoed in his mind, sinister and gleeful. "You're a perfect vessel, kid. Don't worry; it will be over soon."

Izuku's heart raced as the slime creature's grip tightened, making it harder to breathe. He could feel himself losing consciousness, the world around him growing darker with each passing second. Desperation filled his mind, thoughts of all the things he hadn't yet achieved, the dreams he still held close to his heart.

Just as Izuku felt he was about to succumb to the darkness, a powerful wind rushed past him, and the pressure around his body abruptly disappeared. Gasping for air, he collapsed to the ground, coughing and trying to regain his bearings. Through blurry vision, he saw a towering figure standing between him and the now disintegrating slime villain.

It was All Might.

"TEXAS SMASH!" yelled All Might. With a swift, decisive punch, All Might obliterated the remaining fragments of the slime creature, scattering it into harmless droplets. All Might looked down at the boy with a big smile on his face and bent down. All Might's eyes glinted with curiosity as he picked up the book along with Izuku's limp form, holding both in his hands with surprising care. He gently laid the boy back down on the ground before examining the book.

Flipping through the pages, All Might's grin widened. It was a detailed analysis—pages upon pages filled with meticulously drawn sketches and notes about the quirks of various heroes and even some of the villains in the area. The boy had documented everyone he knew in the hero world, from the pro heroes like Eraserhead and Present Mic to the legendary hero himself, All Might. He even had detailed observations on more obscure heroes like Ingenium, Lady Midnight, and many others.

"This kid..." All Might muttered to himself, impressed by the boy's dedication. "He's quite the researcher. This is an incredible overview of everyone's quirks. He even got mine... somewhat right."

The pages of the book were filled with precise details about each hero's quirks. The kid had analyzed their strengths, weaknesses, and fighting styles with remarkable accuracy as if he had studied them for years. All Might paused as he came to his own section in the book. There was a crude but surprisingly accurate depiction of his large, muscular form, his face smiling as always. Beneath the drawing, there was a note that read: "Quirk: Unknown. Might involve strength or speed beyond human limits, possibly linked to a transformation or hidden power." "Not bad. I better wake him up then."

"Hey, young man, wake up, wake up..." All Might said gently, giving Izuku a slight shake. The boy's eyes remained shut at first, but the quiet encouragement in All Might's voice seemed to break through the fog of unconsciousness. His eyes fluttered again, then fully opened, revealing a dazed and confused expression.

"Ugh... what happened?" Izuku mumbled, his voice weak as he tried to sit up. The bright blue sky above him spun for a moment before he managed to focus.

All Might's grin widened as he saw the boy's confused but relieved expression. "Well, well, look who's finally awake," he said, his booming voice filling the space with its trademark warmth. He couldn't help but laugh, seeing how disoriented the boy seemed.

Izuku's eyes widened as they locked onto the towering figure before him. "All Might!?" he gasped, his voice tinged with disbelief. He immediately tried to sit up, his arms trembling as if they hadn't quite regained their strength. "Wait... was that... was that you who—who saved me?"

"Yep! It was me!" All Might beamed, giving him a thumbs-up. "You were in quite a tight spot there, but I'm glad I arrived in time to help you out!"

Izuku blinked, still processing the overwhelming situation. "I... I can't believe it. I... I'm alive!" he exclaimed, his hands shaking slightly as he looked around. "That slime creature... I thought I was done for."

"Well, you weren't! Oh! I even signed your book for you," he said showing him his signature under his analysis of himself. Izuku started to fanboy out and smiled grabbing the notebook to see for himself.

"Well, if that is all young man I must be getting going!" he said giving a small wave and jumping off. All Might sighed. "Probably for the best, I can't hold my form much longer anyhow."

He felt something on his waistline and saw the kid from earlier and looked shocked. "Hey, I love my fans, but this is too much."

"No way we are flying and if I let go, I will die," he said tightening his grip.

"That is a good point," he said back to him.

"I just have so much to ask you is all, All Might," he said screaming.

"Alright just keep your mouth shut and eyes closed," he said wiping some blood from his mouth. "Shit"

They landed on the roof of a building, and All Might tried to slip away. "Wait I have to ask you something All Might," he asked with desperation. All Might stood there debating if he should leave or stay.

"I can hold out for a bit longer," he said to himself.

All Might stood on the roof, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as he shifted his stance slightly. His form, though still imposing to those who didn't know the true cost of maintaining it, was beginning to waver. The strain from holding his muscle-bound appearance for too long was taking its toll. Blood still trickled from the corner of his mouth, and the slight tremble in his hands betrayed the effort it took to stay in his heroic state.

Izuku, still clutching the notebook with his signature, was grinning ear to ear, completely oblivious to All Might's suffering. The young boy had never imagined a day like this—standing on a rooftop with his hero, finally speaking with him face-to-face. To Izuku, this was a dream come true. But to All Might, it was a painful reminder of the limits he had to fight against every day.

"You've got questions for me?" All Might asked, his voice forced to sound strong, though the weariness in his tone could not be masked.

Izuku, eyes wide with excitement, nodded fervently. He opened his mouth to speak but hesitated for a moment. He had so many things to ask—questions about heroism, about All Might's past, about how he could become just like him. But the first words that came out were something far more personal.

"Can I still be a hero even though I have no quirk. I want to be just like you. I want to save people with a smile on my face and show them that everything will be alright," Izuku's words were pure, heartfelt, and full of hope. His eyes were closed, as if he was letting his words come from the deepest part of his soul.

All Might's form began to tremble. The muscles that had once defined him, the symbol of hope and strength, started to shrink, his towering frame shrinking rapidly. He could feel the steam pouring off of him, the powerful presence he had worn for so long slipping away, inch by inch. His face began to sag, the bright, heroic smile faltering as the reality of his condition became undeniable. It was like watching a building slowly crumble, a majestic figure being replaced by a shell of a man. Blood still stained the corner of his mouth, and every breath seemed labored, heavier than the last.

Izuku stood frozen, the notebook still clutched tightly in his hands. The vibrant smile that had once graced his face vanished, replaced by shock as he watched his hero—his idol—begin to unravel before his very eyes. This wasn't the All Might he had always known. This wasn't the symbol of peace he had idolized his entire life. Izuku couldn't understand what was happening at first. His heart pounded in his chest, a knot forming in his stomach as the man who had been the very embodiment of strength seemed to disappear right in front of him.

"Wait—All Might?" Izuku asked, his voice filled with panic. He took a step forward, his legs trembling, as if unsure whether he should reach out or give the man some space. "What's happening? Are you alright?"

All Might, now barely standing as his true, weakened form emerged, gave a strained smile. The giant hero had been reduced to a tall but frail figure in a battered, worn-out costume. His body was no longer that of an indestructible symbol of justice but that of a man who had fought too many battles, and given too much of himself. His voice was much softer now, thinner, but still carried the weight of his experience.

"I'm... I'm fine, kid," All Might said, though it was clear that he was anything but. He wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand, his voice shaky but determined. "I just... I can't hold this form forever."

Izuku's eyes widened as understanding dawned on him. The illusion that All Might had projected for so long—the invincible hero—was now fading, revealing the painful truth of the man's fragility. It wasn't just his appearance that had changed. There was a deeper exhaustion in his eyes, a weariness that no amount of smiling or heroic feats could cover up.

"Well, there is no point in hiding it now. Listen, kid, what I am about to tell you…only a few people know," he said sitting down and lifting up his shirt to show a deep wound on the left side of his body.

"This injury I got was about five years ago now. I have had multiple surgeries, and to my knowledge, it can't be fixed. Long story short, I can hold that muscular form for about three hours and thirty minutes. I have so long to help people during the day," he said, putting his shirt back down.

"But to answer your question kid," he said hesitantly slightly. "No, you can't not be a hero without a quirk. You would be putting yourself and others in danger. You would have a better shot of being a doctor, firefighter, or policeman," he said getting up to leave the roof.

Izuku didn't know what to say. His throat was tight, the emotions swirling within him—confusion, disappointment, fear—all threatening to overwhelm him. He wanted to scream, to ask why, to beg All Might to take it back. But deep down, he knew that All Might wasn't lying. The truth was that being a hero in the way All Might had been impossible without a quirk. Without that power, there was no way for him to stand alongside the great heroes, to protect the people, to make a difference in the world.

"I'm sorry, kid," All Might said quietly, his voice strained. "I didn't want to crush your dreams. But the truth is, you can't be a hero without the right tools. It's not safe, not for you, and certainly not for the people you'd try to protect. I'll let someone know you on the rooftop," he said shutting the door to the roof access. Izuku stood there, his eyes glazed. His number one hero told him he couldn't be a hero. Numb wasn't the feeling he had right now, he felt empty.

"I... I don't even know what to do now," Izuku whispered to the empty roof, his voice cracking. The words seemed to hang in the air, but no one was there to answer. No one could tell him how to move forward from here. His hands trembled as he lowered the notebook, his fingers brushing the page with All Might's signature. He thought about how long he had worked to get to this point, how many times he had wished for a chance to talk to his hero, to learn from him, to ask for advice on how to be like him.

Now he had that chance, and it hadn't gone the way he imagined. It hadn't gone anywhere at all.

Izuku walked slowly toward the door, the one All Might had left through. He hesitated for a moment, his hand on the doorknob, as though trying to decide if he should follow or just stay there, drowning in his thoughts. But in the end, he let the door swing open and stepped into the hallway. The soft light from the hallway illuminated his face, but it did nothing to dispel the darkness that had taken root inside of him.

He left the building not sure which direction to take so he walked where his heart took him. "I supposed I should go to work so I can make some money at least," he said taking a left down the street. He started to hear some loud bangs and noises down the street to saw a few heroes were trying to stop a villain. He looked to see it was the same sludge villain from earlier. He looked even closer to see Bakugo was stuck in the villain and being held hostage. That was why Mt. Lady and the others weren't fighting yet. Even after everything Bakugo had done to him in his years with him. After All Might said he couldn't be a hero, he still felt like he had to do something. He felt his feet move on their own. He ran through the crowd of people and past the heroes who despite their protests kept running to the sludge villain and even forced a smile on his face.

"Damn it!" Bakugo shouted, his voice muffled by the villain's slime, his arms and legs flailing as he tried to break free. "Get off me, you damn sludge!"

"You're all so predictable," the villain hissed, his voice dripping with malice. The Pro heroes were yelling at him to come back but he didn't care.

Izuku gritted his teeth and shot a glance at the heroes, his voice trembling but filled with an unyielding determination. "I don't care! He's my classmate—my responsibility! I'll save him, even if I don't have a Quirk!"

He didn't know where the courage came from, but it burned in his chest. With a burst of adrenaline, Izuku threw himself forward, dodging the blobs of sludge that shot out toward him. His body reacted without thinking, every motion instinctive. He knew he had no strength to match the villain or the heroes, but he didn't care. He just had to act.

Bakugo's eyes met his from within the villain's grasp, wide with disbelief. "Tch. What the hell do you think you're doing, Deku?" His voice was full of venom, but underneath the anger, Izuku could hear something else fear.

"I'm saving you," Izuku replied, his voice barely a whisper. He could feel the weight of the situation bearing down on him, but he wouldn't stop. He couldn't.

All Might leaned on a light pole in the distance with his eyes wide. "I'm pathetic, even after I told him he can't save others and be a hero. He still did it anyway…he knows he doesn't have a quirk, and he still wanted to save that boy's life. NO!... I have to do something. I need to surpass my limits. They need my help." He said slowly growing in size again.

"Get out of my way!" yelled the sludge villain as he attacked Izuku. It was blocked by the number one hero.

"I'm pathetic, I am the one who is supposed to be fighting!" he said charging his fist back. "DETROIT SMASH!" he yelled out. The attack slammed into the villain with incredible force and the landscape changed all around them. The weather, the flames, and even the people were almost flung from the fight. The villain was nothing but particles now and Bakugo and Izuku were safe. All Might looked down at the kid with pride in his eyes even with the circumstances presented to him.

While he was safe now, he wasn't saved from the bombardment of lecturing he received from the pro heroes for rushing into a battle. He even was told off by Bakugo for saving him and saying that they didn't owe him anything. He knew he should feel some hatred towards him, but he realized that there was no point and a waste of energy. After the lecture, Izuku made his way back to his apartment to call it a day. It had been a long day, and he started to make his way back home. He sighed contemplating what his next course of action was. He was then promptly knocked on his feet by a giant force of wind that he was all too familiar with by now.

"A-All Might?! Why are you here? You were surrounded by reporters until just now," he said getting back up.

"I stand for justice, not sound bytes. Why? Because I am All Might…" Izuku saw him go from his buff form to his skinny one, still not used to seeing his favorite hero go through that.

"Young man. I come with thanks, a correction, and a suggestion. If you hadn't been there. If you hadn't told me about your life, I would've turned into a guy in a bodysuit who was all talk. Thank you."

"But it was my fault to begin with. I got in the way and messed things up for you," he said getting sad once more.

"Maybe you did, maybe you didn't. One thing is for certain and that is you helped me. What kind of hero am I if a quirkless boy were to run into battle but a superhero like me didn't," he said looking at him. "It was because of you I was able to charge in and help."

Izuku started to tear up. "What I am trying to tell you kid is I am sorry for what I said to you on the roof. I was misguided. What I am telling you here and now is that you can be a hero too."

Izuku blinked rapidly as the words sank in. His heart felt like it was racing, a mix of emotions flooding through him—confusion, disbelief, hope. All Might was standing before him, the towering symbol of peace and strength, telling him he could be a hero too. Izuku's mind was reeling.

"I—I can be a hero?" Izuku asked, his voice trembling.

All Might smiled warmly, crouching down so he was at Izuku's eye level.

"Yes, young man. You showed courage when it mattered most. You put yourself in danger to save others, even without a quirk. That is the mark of a true hero, not the powers they possess. The real strength of a hero comes from the heart and the will to protect others, no matter the odds."

Izuku's hands clenched at his sides, and his heart ached with the weight of those words. He had always dreamed of becoming a hero, of being someone who could protect others.

"Listen, kid, with my quirk, I can transfer my power down to the next generation. This power has had several holders and with each generation, it has stockpiled and gained more power," he said to him.

"Wait…what?! Is that even possible to transfer quirks like that…"

"Yes, it is. My quirk is called One for All. I believe that you are worthy of my power, kid. So do you accept my power?!" he asked with excitement.

"Yes sir," he said without hesitation.

"That is what I like to hear. Give me your address to your home and I will be there within the hour. Never mind I will come home with you to get some of the stuff out of the way. I wouldn't want your family to get worried about you," he said walking alongside him.

Izuku's mood dropped immediately. "You don't have to worry about that," he said softer than normal.

"What do you mean kid?" he asked.

"My name is Izuku Midoriya. I don't have parents, not anymore anyway, they left me a while ago," he said looking down at the ground.

All Might sighed. "Sorry kid…I mean Midoriya, I didn't mean to bring it up…" he said awkwardly.

"No, it's fine, you couldn't have known that," he said looking at him.

"I'm also sorry for not saying my real name earlier. My name is Toshinori Yagi," he said patting his head.

"I can't wait to start learning from you," said Izuku with excitement.

"Oh, we will have a fun kid. I'll let you know the details when we get to your place," he said stomach rumbling. "But, let's get some food first," he said.

I suppose I should say this now this is how I am on the journey to being the world's greatest hero.

2 DAYS LATER

"Come on kid put your back into it," said All Might in his muscle form on top of the fridge Izuku was pulling.

"You are adding 600 pounds to the fridge All Might," he said panting and falling over.

"Nah, I weigh about 560 these days but that is beside the point. People lift fridges without enhanced strength. So, this makes it more fun. I mean look at you, you won't be able to handle my power," he said.

"I. But you said I…I was worthy," he said tearing up and screaming at him.

"Not what I meant kid. I meant your body is too frail to handle my quirk. Your body would fall apart and believe me we are not doing that," he said.

"Oh, well how long do we have before the U.A. entrance exam, about a year right, and why are we moving all of this trash anyway," he said getting up.

"Yes indeed, Young Midoriya. We have about a year before the entrance exam, and I am going to train you right. Firstly, we are picking up the trash to help you build up your strength. Secondly, we are picking it up because hero work isn't always about looking flashy and stopping the bad guy. Even though it seems like I do it a lot, when I was your age, we had to do a lot of community service. Thirdly, it is good for the environment! Now listen here kid, I have even made a schedule for your everyday life," he said giving him a schedule.

"Wow, even my sleep is scheduled. What about my part-time job?" he asked.

"That I will be covering, and I don't want to hear how you don't need the help. You are 14 years old, and you don't need to be paying bills like that yet. I also have made enough money to live off of for 10 lifetimes, so it is perfectly fine! However, this is also going to be hard. You think you up to it!" he said with a thumbs up.

"Without a doubt. I want to be a hero, and I will excel so there is no other way," he said with conviction.

"That is the spirit Young Midoriya let's get started," he said clapping his hands together.

Midoriya's POV

The next 9 months were some of the most grueling trainings I had ever endured. Then again this was the first time I was training this hard anyway. All Might have me picking up everything on the beach to make it a place of value again. He told me to not bother with the trucks and semis that were on the beach for…well…I normal guy can't exactly lift up a vehicle that weighs well over a few tons but anyway back to what I was saying.

He had me studying, working out, and weightlifting to make sure my body was physically in shape. It wasn't just about building muscle; All Might stressed the importance of endurance and flexibility, too. He created a detailed workout plan that balanced cardio, strength training, and mobility exercises. Each day was a new challenge, pushing my limits and testing my resolve.

The first few weeks were brutal. My muscles ached constantly, and I was always exhausted. There were days when I thought I couldn't go on when the sheer weight of the task ahead of me felt overwhelming. But every time I wanted to give up, I remembered All Might's words. I remembered the look in his eyes when he told me I could be a hero. That thought alone kept me going.

The mornings started early, often before the sun had even risen. All Might would meet me on the beach, his towering presence a constant source of motivation. He would clap his hands together, a broad grin on his face, and say, "Let's get started, young Midoriya!" And so, we would begin.

The first task was to clean the beach. It seemed simple enough, but the sheer number of debris was staggering. Old appliances, broken furniture, rusted cars—it was as if the beach had become a dumping ground for everything unwanted. All Might explained that this was not only about building my physical strength but also about instilling a sense of responsibility and dedication. A hero, he said, doesn't just fight villains; a hero also takes care of their community.

I started with the smaller items, working my way up to the larger pieces as my strength increased. All Might would supervise, and offer advice, and encouragement. He showed me the correct techniques for lifting and carrying heavy objects, emphasizing the importance of proper form to avoid injury. Slowly but surely, the beach began to transform. Each piece of trash I removed was a small victory, a tangible sign of my progress.

In addition to the physical labor, All Might had me following a strict diet to ensure my body was getting the nutrients it needed to build muscle and recover from the intense workouts. My meals were meticulously planned, focusing on lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and plenty of vegetables. It was a far cry from my usual diet, but I quickly saw the benefits. I felt more energetic and recovered faster from the grueling training sessions. He even taught me how to cook some tasty meals.

The training wasn't just physical. All Might also emphasized the importance of mental and emotional strength. He had me studying various subjects, from basic academics to hero-related topics like first aid, law, and ethics. He explained that a hero needs to be well-rounded and knowledgeable, capable of making quick, informed decisions in the heat of battle. These study sessions were challenging, but they provided a much-needed balance to the physical training.

As the weeks turned into months, I began to see significant changes. My body grew stronger and more defined. Tasks that had once seemed impossible were now manageable, and my stamina improved dramatically. I could lift heavier objects, run longer distances, and push myself further than I ever thought possible. More importantly, I began to believe in myself. The doubt that had always plagued me started to fade, replaced by a newfound confidence.

All Might was always there, guiding me, pushing me, and believing in me. His unwavering support was a constant source of motivation. Even on the toughest days, his presence reminded me why I was doing this. I wasn't just training for myself; I was training to become a hero, protect others, and make a difference.

The months of training had transformed me, not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well. I learned the value of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. I had pushed through pain and doubt, emerging stronger and more confident. All Might's guidance had been invaluable, shaping me into someone capable of chasing my dreams.

3rd Person POV

9 months later, All Might locked his car with the keys in his hand and looked at Izuku who was screaming at the heavens. He looked around the pile of remaining garbage to see the beach was cleared entirely. The pier was even a walkable place to be at now.

"Holy…he even cleaned outside the area I told him too. This is truly remarkable," he said smiling at him. Izuku was wobbling on his feet and started to fall to the ground, but All Might transformed and caught him right before he was able to hit the ground.

"I did it…All Might," he said weakly smiling at him.

"That you did Young Midoriya, and you even finished a month earlier than planned," he said smiling at him more. He set him down and looked at him with a proud smile.

"Look at you, you have transformed from a scrawny and crying little boy and developed into a stronger person over the course of the past 9 months. There is no time to rest for we have to prepare for the next three months on how to use my quirk," he said pumping his fist into the air.

"Do you think…I still…deserve this All Might?" he asked. All Might was slightly shocked at this and laughed.

"You're still thinking about that! You have nothing to fear!" he said plucking a hair from his head. "You are more than worthy enough and you are ready for my power," he said holding the hair in his hands.

Izuku held his head high ready for what stood in front of him. "Eat this!" Izuku face faulted at this saying only one word. "What?!"

"No, you don't understand you have to take some of my DNA and then eat it and allow it to flow into your system. Now eat this strand of hair and we can get started with the next phase," he said handing it to him. Izuku slowly swallowed the strand of hair getting goosebumps from the texture of the hair.

"Good, now we will have about a few hours before the power activates and starts flowing through you so how about we go get some grub and then we come back here and do some training," he said deflating back down to his smaller form.

"That sounds good," said Izuku smiling.

AT A CAFÉ

The café where All Might and Izuku were having their conversation was a cozy little spot tucked away on a quiet street corner. The atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, with soft lighting casting a gentle glow over the room. The walls were adorned with vintage posters and photographs, giving the place a charming, nostalgic feel. Small potted plants were scattered throughout, adding a touch of greenery to the cozy interior.

The café was filled with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the faint scent of baked goods. Behind the counter, a barista expertly crafted drinks, steam rising from the espresso machine. The sound of quiet chatter and the occasional clinking of cups created a soothing background noise, making the café feel like a peaceful retreat from the bustling city outside. All Might cleared his throat to get his student's attention.

"Listen, kid, there are some things you need to know about the quirk," he said looking around to see if anyone was listening.

"What is the All…I mean Mr. Yagi," he said almost slipping up.

"Nice save kid, but listen," he said lowering his voice. "I received this power when I was your age. I was just like you and quirkless. I never really had parents too so we have a lot more in common than you think. Regardless of that, my body was a lot more trained than yours, and I was able to handle One for All almost immediately. We trained your body, but we did it in a hurry. Thankfully we have a few more months to train your body up and you will be able to handle my power much easier. I am not sure how much power you will be able to handle but we have different powers than each other," he said digging into his salad.

"What do you mean? If it is the same quirk, how would it be a different power?" he asked.

"What I mean is that when One for All is transferred to a new user, it becomes more and more powerful. With each new user, more energy and power are transferred to the next user from it being refined. From a technical standpoint, you will be the strongest user so far. Even stronger than me. Your 100% is stronger than my 100%," he said looking over at an awestruck teenager. "We have a long while before that happens though so I thought I would give you a basic rundown of the quirk in the first place," he said.

"That is…amazing," he said looking at his hands.

"Listen though, every user had to handle the quirk differently. So, it will be alright if there is some trial and error when using it…understand kid," he said pointing his fork at him.

Izuku nodded, feeling a mixture of excitement and apprehension. The idea of being the strongest user of One for All was exhilarating, but it also came with immense pressure. He wanted to live up to All Might's legacy, to be the hero he had always dreamed of becoming.

"How do I even start using it?" Izuku asked. "I mean, I've seen you fight, but I don't know how to control such a powerful quirk."

All Might leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful look on his face. "Control comes with time and practice. When I first got One for All, I was able to use it almost immediately. Now listen, you have come a long way, but the key is to start small. Your body compared to mine is way weaker than when I was your age. We will see where to go from here," he said looking at the food arriving.

"Hey, Mr. Yagi, do you think we can clear out another area of the city?" he asked.

"Dang kid, I thought you would've been tuckered out with all of the community services, but I guess not," he said splicing some salt on his food. "Then again I shouldn't be surprised," he said smiling.

"But yeah, I have a good place to help clean up," he said.

"That's good, I think it should be somewhere smaller though because of the exam coming up," he said.

"Oh yeah you'll be fine kid but let's eat up and then we can train with your brand spanking new quirk," he said chuckling.

BACK AT THE BEACH A FEW HOURS LATER

All Might inhaled then exhaled transforming into his muscle form. "Ok, kid. We are going to activate that quirk of yours so get ready," he said lowering himself.

"Wait…wait…WAIT! All Might! Don't, I don't know how to do it yet," he said waving his hands out in front of him.

"That is the point, you newbie!" "Oh god, I sound like Gran Torino right now!" "Ready yourself, kid!" he yelled out.

Izuku swallowed hard, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. He remembered what All Might had told him earlier about starting small and focusing on control. He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to find that spark of energy within himself, the power of One for All.

"Focus, Izuku. I can do this," he said getting in a low stance.

All Might launched himself at Izuku cocking back his fist, "Get ready Young Midoriya for this…SMASH!" he yelled out.

Izuku then felt it. He felt energy course through his arm, and he felt like he was on Cloud 9. He cocked back his fist as well. "SMASHHH!" yelled out Izuku as his fist collided with All Mights.

The impact was immense. The force of their punches created a shockwave that reverberated across the beach, sending sand flying in all directions. Izuku felt the sheer power of One for All pulsing through his arm, the energy almost too much to contain. He gritted his teeth, focusing on the power. However, something he didn't take into consideration was that Izuku was not even 150 pounds, and All Might was over 400 pounds more than he was. Izuku was then flung back from the force and hit the sand several times. All Might realize what happened and reacted.

"Oh shit! Young Midoriya are you alright," he said feeling the pains from Izuku's punch trying to shake them out. "Damn that kid hit stronger than I thought," he said bolting over to him.

"By boy, are you ok?!" he said holding him up.

"Ouch my arm…," he said looking at it. He then went wide-eyed, seeing his arm was limb at his side and was red all the way up to his shoulder.

All Might's eyes widened in concern. "We need to get you to Recovery Girl immediately. Hang in there, Young Midoriya. We'll get you fixed up in no time. That was not starting small by the way," he said hoisting him up on his back and jumping off in the direction of U.A.

All Might ran there in record time and Recovery Girl was working in her office. "Excuse me Recovery Girl, I need your assistance," he said holding Izuku in his arms. Recovery Girl turned around to see Izuku's arm and immediately took action kissing his arm and healing it completely.

"Wow that was amazing, it feels so much…" before Izuku could finish he passed out from the stamina drain on his body.

"Good thinking bringing him here. There was a severe ligament, joint, and muscle damage," she said looking at the boy. "Who is this boy anyway and why was he this injured?" she asked looking at him.

"Oh shit, I haven't let anyone know that I have been training him and made him my successor. I can't let them know yet so a white lie wouldn't hurt," he thought.

"Well…There was a villain incident, and the boy was being attacked and he had defended himself using his quirk. It was strange. It seems to do more damage to his body than anything else," he said looking at his sleeping figure once more. Recovery Girl nodded.

"I see, well make sure that you give him some candy to help him recover and good job on bringing him here," she said turning around to her computer.

"Thank you, Recovery Girl," he said leaving the office and rushing him back to his apartment. When Izuku woke up he saw that his arm was fully healed and saw All Might sitting in the small chair across from him.

"Good, you are awake. I have the location decided for your next big cleanup and it is a park next to the eastern portion of the city. It should be some good training and all that and secluded enough that I can activate my form and all that stuff without being noticed," he said.

"Did I do good for the smash then?" he asked.

"Yeah, you did but you busted your arm up bad. We need to train your body more so that we can handle the power of One for All. That is what I meant by we trained in a hurry but there is nothing wrong with training a little more to handle the power better. That and sorry for forcing you to use all 100% of your power and hurting yourself," he said getting up and heading to the door.

"Thank you for everything All Might," he said before turning to the other side of the couch to fall back asleep.

"No problem kid. Proud of you," he said before shutting the door to leave.

THE NEXT DAY

"Alright, let us begin! I have decided to make this incredible investment to help develop your body even further!" exclaimed All Might. Izuku looked at what All Might pulled out.

Izuku blinked at the heavyweights All Might hand him. They were sleek, modern-looking devices designed to strap onto his wrists and ankles, each one adjustable to add more resistance as needed. The weights looked intimidating, but he felt a thrill of determination rise within him. This was the next step in his journey to mastering One for All.

"These, my boy, are training weights. They will pose a challenge to train your muscles more while cleaning up the park. One goes on each hand and the other two on each ankle," All Might said, a broad smile on his face. "We need to ensure that your body can handle the immense power of One for All without sustaining damage. We will set each to 15 pounds for now, so they are 60 pounds in total."

Izuku nodded, accepting the weights. He strapped them on, feeling the immediate pull on his limbs. The weights were deceptively heavy, but he knew that this kind of training was necessary if he was going to become the hero he aspired to be.

"Now, let's head over to the park and get started," All Might said, leading the way. Izuku followed each step a reminder of the new burden he carried. But with each step, he also felt a surge of determination. He was ready to push himself to the limit.

The park was in a state of disrepair, overgrown with weeds and littered with debris. It was clear that it had been neglected for years, and the sight of it filled Izuku with a sense of purpose. He knew that cleaning it up would be a significant challenge, but it was also an opportunity to prove himself.

"Alright Midoriya get started," he said with vigor.

"What about my training for One for All?" he asked.

"That will come later. If we kept training the way we did it would be me constantly taking you into Recovery Girl because you keep blowing out your arm. So, we will wait and train you up and build some more muscle," he said.

"Now let us get going my boy," he said slapping his back and sending him flying forward.

Izuku stumbled forward from the slap on his back, almost falling but managing to catch himself. The weights felt like anchors on his limbs, but he gritted his teeth and pushed forward. He knew All Might was right – he needed to build his body to handle the power of One for All without injuring himself. The cleanup of the park was a perfect way to do that while also giving back to the community.

Over the next month, Izuku had been training with the weights on with All Might supervising the training. The park started to look more and more like a park every day. All Might had up the weights to 50 pounds each meaning Izuku was training with 120 pounds on him. With his progress two exciting things happened. 2 weeks into the trying Izuku had showed All Might his progress.

"What do you mean kid?" he asked confused.

"Well, you know the punches and kicks you have been telling me to practice," he said making All Might nod. "Look at this," he said. Izuku cocked his fist back and threw a punch in All Might's direction. Nothing happened at first but half a second later a gust of wind was launched at All Might. Granted it was a literal gust of wind that was no more than 10 miles per hour, but it was still something.

"Wait…Young Midoriya…is that," he asked surprised. "I am not sure sir but look at this," he said. He threw a palm strike and a kick at All Might and the same result happened. The wind was thrown in his direction. Izuku even moved his hand in a shooing motion and the wind still moving in his direction.

"Young Midoriya you either are using the wind pressure from the attacks that I do at a much smaller scale, or you developed a quirk," he said slapping his back happily.

"That is not all look at this," he said. Izuku closed his eyes and concentrated on the air around his body. All Might crouched down and watched closely at his student was slightly surprised and what came next. Izuku was generating Wind around him that was circling him and outward.

"Young man, you may have…a quirk!" said All Might excitedly. "Listen, you are busy training, but we will have to see what it is with tests," he said. "Here I will draw some blood, and I will see personally what your results are," he said pulling out a needle.

"Uh, All Might why do you have a needle in your hand? And what the heck makes you have a needle on you at all times in the first place," he said.

"That doesn't matter young man we must find out what this is right away," he said extracting the blood from Izuku.

Regardless of that, the results came back a couple of days later and they both at their lunchtime break sat down to read the information.

2 DAYS LATER

"What does it say, kid," he asked looking over at him. "It says I do have a quirk," he said smiling and with excitement.

"Well, what else does it say kid?"

"It says we have concluded that we were wrong with our previous diagnosis of you being quirkless and it turns out your quirk was dormant in your body and needed an activation to show itself. Somewhere from around a couple of weeks ago, your body started to show a sense of your quirk activating. Your quirk from what we can see now is the ability to use Elemental Natures at will. Your cells and DNA show compatibility with using these said Elemental Natures. It is as if a mutation of sorts happened. As far as we know you can use the Wind Nature. We are not sure what other natures you can use in the future but here are some elemental natures for reference. Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, and Lightning. There is a chance you can use all Elemental Natures, or you could not gain any more natures," he said his eyes glazed with shock.

Izuku sat back, staring at the report in his hands, his mind struggling to fully process the implications. "Elemental Natures? So, I can use wind... and maybe fire, ice, water, earth, and lightning? How is that even possible?" His voice cracked slightly, a mixture of disbelief and excitement bubbling inside him. He could barely fathom what he was reading. It was too much for him to take in all at once.

All Might, who had been pacing with his hands behind his back, turned to face Izuku. His eyes were wide with both excitement and concern. "This is incredible, Midoriya! You could become incredibly powerful. Not only do you have One for All, but now you also have elemental manipulation on top of that!"

Izuku felt a surge of pride, but it was tempered with confusion. "But why didn't I know about this? I've always thought I was quirkless, and even when I started training with One for All, I never felt like this was a part of me. It was only after our training sessions and those wind blasts... I didn't realize it was tied to a quirk."

"That's the tricky part," All Might explained, his voice softening as he leaned against the bench. "It seems that your elemental quirk was dormant, and it didn't manifest until your body was pushed to its limits. One for All, with all its power, may have acted as a catalyst, unlocking that dormant potential within you. It's like you've awakened a hidden part of yourself."

Izuku looked at the report again, his eyes scanning the details. "So, my wind manipulation is just the first sign of something much bigger? How do I even control it? And what about the other elements?"

"We will take it one step at a time. We know as of right now that you have wind manipulation. We will see what others you can use in the future but in the meantime, we will keep training in your physical strength and your new quirk. Like they said you may unlock, all of them, some of them, or no more of them," he said proudly.

"What should we do then?" he asked looking at him for guidance.

"That's exactly what we need to figure out," All Might said, his expression turning serious. "You have the potential to wield all those elemental natures but mastering them will take time. First, we'll need to focus on one element—wind—since that seems to be the one you can control the best right now. Besides, if we are getting right down do it, I can manipulate the wind around me with pressurized blasts too so that should be a good enough start," he said smiling. He looked over to his student who had a worried look on his face.

"What's wrong kid?"

"Nothing. Just thinking," he said kicking the ground slightly.

"Well, tell me then kid," he said looking at him.

"It's just…You and I have similar pasts and now that I found out…I have had a quirk all this time then we both weren't quirkiness. Then there is the thing with my parents. What if I had unlocked my quirk when I was younger? They I would have grown up with my parents…" he said softly.

Toshinori sighed, "Young Midoriya, something that I live by is that everything in life happens for a reason. Every decision that is made and everything that happens is what makes us the people we are today," he said looking at Izuku who nodded. "Having a quirk doesn't make you have anything less in common with me. Don't let the 99 things in common that we have affect the 1 thing we don't have in common with each other. Not to mention, as sad as it is, you would have never known the true colors of your parents if you had your quirk activated," he said making Izuku nod.

"Yeah, I know," he said looking down again. Toshinori put a hand on his shoulder and smiled. "Not to mention if you didn't have a dormant quirk, I would have never been able to meet you. Plus, you have technically been quirkless for the past 14 years anyway," he said squeezing his shoulder. That made Izuku smile. "Now my disciple, let us train till our heart's content," he said transforming into his buff form. Izuku jumped up with him and the two of them pumped their fists into the air.

While it was difficult All Might train him in One for All and his Wind Manipulation to the best of his ability.

The second bit of exciting news was the other day he had an interesting reaction with a resident who lived in the surrounding area.

"I'm going on my morning run Mom and Dad. I'll see you in a bit," said Momo Yaoyorozu. Momo Yaoyorozu laced up her running shoes, adjusting her workout gear as she prepared for her morning run. She loved the feeling of the early morning air, the quiet streets, and the sense of freedom that came with running before the city fully awoke. Today, however, something compelled her to change her usual route. Instead of heading west, she decided to run east, towards the park she had avoided for so long. Maybe it was a sense of nostalgia or a desire to see if it had changed at all.

As she jogged towards the park, Momo noticed something different. The park, which had been in disrepair for years, now looked almost transformed. The weeds were gone, the debris cleared, and even the playground equipment looked repaired. She slowed her pace, curious about who could be responsible for such a dramatic change. The job wasn't done but this looked the best it had in years. She walked to the park gate that was half collapsed and looked at the park she went to when she was a child.

"Come on kid put those muscles to work," said a man from around the corner.

"That is what I am doing. It's harder to lift this with 120 extra pounds you know," said a voice in exertion. Momo turned the corner to see a boy with a green tracksuit and a scrawny man cheering him on. He was lifting a half-sunken fridge from the ground with a lot of force. He eventually lifted the fridge from the mushy ground and threw it in the trailer.

"Good job kid. That is the first trailer for the day. Rest for the next 20 minutes then works on your Wind Manipulation," said Toshinori walking away to tell the guy to take the trailer out of there.

Momo ever the curious one walked up to the green-haired teenager. "Excuse me, sir," she said walking up to Izuku.

Izuku turned around to see a girl about his age, her dark hair pulled back in a ponytail, and her workout gear spotless despite the early hour. She had an air of elegance and confidence about her, something that stood out even more against the backdrop of the park's ongoing transformation.

"Oh, hi!" Izuku said, slightly out of breath from his exertion. He wiped his brow with the back of his hand and smiled. "Can I help you with something?"

"Oh my god, is this girl trying to talk to me? Hopefully, I don't make an embarrassment out of myself," he thought. He tried to hide the blush creeping on his face.

Momo's eyes widened slightly as she took in the sight before her. The boy in front of her was working hard, and there was something about his presence that felt almost… heroic. "I was just out for a run and noticed how much the park has changed. It's incredible! Are you the one responsible for all of this?"

Izuku blushed, scratching the back of his head. "Well, not just me. I've had a lot of help. My mentor and I have been working on restoring the park as part of my training. It's been a lot of hard work, but it's starting to pay off."

"Who is your mentor?" she asked looking around.

"That would be me, young lady," said Toshinori.

"My name is Toshinori Yagi. I help out with clean up and restoring parts of the city that have been out of commission or not used for years," he said shaking her hand.

"Well, that is very thoughtful of you this park hasn't been looking this good in years," she said looking around.

"Yeah, this kid right here is one of a kind. He came up to me when I was working and asked to clean up and restore areas with me to get into the hero business from a different perspective. He wanted to be as well diverse as possible. Doing community service is one of those things," he said putting an arm around an embarrassed Izuku.

"Ah, you are an aspiring hero huh? Well, maybe we will be working in the future. I am Momo Yaoyorozu. I plan on attending U.A. Highschool in 2 months from now," she said reaching out to his hand to shake it.

"I am Izuku Midoriya I plan on taking the entrance exam to U.A. High School as well," he said shaking her hand. "Huh, her hands are very soft. I still don't get how I am talking to a girl," he thought.

"Oh well, with a quirk like Wind Manipulation then I believe that you have a higher chance to get in," she said without realizing. She blushed in embarrassment when she realized she might have overstepped. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to assume or anything. It's just… that's an impressive quirk and I heard your convo a bit ago."

Toshinori laughed wiping some blood from his mouth. "I'll let the two of you talk," he said walking over to his car.

"It is quite alright. I am assuming you have a recommendation to get into U.A. because you didn't say you were taking the exam itself," he said. Momo was surprised that he was able to deduce that so easily but sighed.

"That is true, Midoriya."

"That is awesome, you have to have an amazing quirk and overall skills for you to have a recommendation," he said.

"Yes, it is a mixture of the two of them, but I am wondering what you can do with your Wind Manipulation," she said curiously.

"It isn't just Wind Manipulation. It is Elemental Nature Manipulation. The doctors said that I can have the ability to control other elements with practice and patience of course," she said making her go wide-eyed.

"What a quirk. That has so much potential," she said in awe.

Izuku rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, it is pretty cool. I promise you this though I will see you in two months after the entrance exam," he said to her.

Momo smiled, "That will be nice. I would offer to help but I am going to a training camp for my quirk in the upcoming weeks," she said sadly.

"That is alright. We all need to be strong to show that we can be the best," he said happily.

"Indeed. It was a pleasure to meet you Midoriya. I hope to see you in a couple of months," she said waving.

"You as well Yaoyorozu," he said waving back.

Izuku started to walk back to Toshinori who was nodding his head slowly leaning on his car. "What?" asked Izuku curiously.

"My disciple is a lady's man," said Toshinori pointing at him with a finger gun. Izuku's blush deepened, and he waved his hands defensively. "It's not like that, All Might! We were just talking about training and our quirks."

Toshinori chuckled heartily, his laughter echoing through the now-clearing park. "Relax, young Midoriya. I'm just teasing you. It's good to see you making connections with future heroes. Building a strong network is just as important as your physical training."

Izuku nodded, his blush slowly fading as he considered Toshinori's words. "You're right, All Might. Meeting people like Yaoyorozu and learning from each other can only help us all get better."

Toshinori smiled warmly, his eyes filled with pride. "Exactly. Now, let's get back to work. We have a lot more to do before this park is fully restored, and your training is far from over."

Izuku POV

The next two months went by in the blink of an eye, and the entrance exam was upon us. After some comparison with One for All and microwave pastry, I was able to handle a small portion of One for All at 10%. I learned to let it flow all through my body at once and hold that feeling of 10%. I started at 5% and slowly made my way up. I call it Full Cowling. It took me breaking more than a few bones and other appendages to get it down but, in the end, I am much better than I was when I got One for All.

While I wish it was higher, I had to work on my Elemental Manipulation Quirk. The wind was something that I got down in no time. For how…different…All Might was in certain areas of training, he sure was amazing when it came to Wind Manipulation. I can manipulate the air around me now much easier. I can control air from my fingertips, hands, and feet, shaping gusts of wind with precision. I even learned to create small, controlled whirlwinds that could lift objects or disrupt the footing of opponents. I can even levitate myself off the ground but is very loud and noisy at times. At most, my air and wind can generate speeds up to 50 mph which isn't the best, but it is much better than a few months back.

Then there was another thing. Water Manipulation. I learned it about a month ago now while it is only the second one that I learned I am still able to use it to an extent. I decided to train to move the water from my drinking cup and after a few times, I was able to tip the glass over. Training with water was vastly different from manipulating wind. Water had a fluidity and adaptability that wind did not, but it also required a different kind of precision and control.

I started by practicing simple tasks like forming water spheres from nearby sources. At first, it was frustrating. Water seemed to slip through my mental grasp, but I kept at it. All Might, despite his limited knowledge of elemental quirks, encouraged me to think of water as an extension of myself. "Feel its flow," he had said. "Just as you do with the wind, but remember, water can be both gentle and forceful."

As far as I know, though I need to draw from a source to use Water Manipulation the most effectively. Maybe I can better control it in the future but right now I can say Wind Manipulation is a safer bet to alongside One for All at 10%. "Wait…what the…hey…All Might…quit."

"Get out of here kid! You are doing so much word vomit kid that you are going to annoy some of the people reading this fanfic. Anyway, let us get back to the story!"

Izuku stood at the gates of the U.A. with the biggest smile on his face. All Might gave him a pep talk that he was still smiling about. "Listen, kid, you have come a long way in the past year. You have cleaned up two large places that bring happiness to the public and you are trained up incredibly well. You can do this kid," he said patting him on the head.

"Thank you All Might. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you," he said happily.

"Not entirely true kid. Just know I am proud of the hero and man you are turning out to be," he said reassuringly.

He had been smiling the majority of the morning and was ready for this exam. He was walking with a purpose when he heard something familiar from behind him. "Useless, Deku. If you don't move, I'll set you on fire," said Bakugo grumpily. Deku moved out of the way to see him walk on by and sighed. "That doesn't matter what is to come next can't put me down," he said taking a step forward before slowly tripping and falling. "Or I'll just die, yep, this is my fate now." He was stopped in midair by a girl with brown hair.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her voice full of concern as she gently set him back on his feet. "I saw you trip and couldn't just let you fall."

Izuku felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment. "Th-thank you. I'm okay. Just got a bit too excited," he stammered, looking at her nervously. She smiled warmly, and he felt a bit more at ease.

"My name's Ochaco Uraraka," she introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you."

"I'm Izuku Midoriya," he replied, managing to return her smile. "Nice to meet you too."

They walked together towards the entrance, chatting about their excitement and nerves for the exam. Izuku found himself feeling more confident with every step.

"Well, good luck. See you on the other side," she said waving to him to go to her seat.

His seat was next to Bakugo who was rather quiet than normal, but he wouldn't object to that. Soon the auditorium was filled with applicants and the pro hero Present Mic walked on stage.

As the last few applicants filed in, the lights dimmed, and Present Mic stepped onto the stage with his usual flair. His trademark sunglasses gleamed under the spotlight as he raised a microphone to his lips.

"GOOD MORNING, YOU ALL!" Present Mic boomed, his voice echoing across the auditorium, causing everyone to jump a little. Izuku grinned despite the nerves bubbling up in his stomach. Present Mic had always been a source of inspiration, with his booming personality and over-the-top style. He was trying not to geek out at the moment but the energy in the room shifted almost immediately.

"Welcome to U.A.'s Entrance Exam! Now, you've all worked hard to get here, and we're about to find out what you're truly made of. You think you're ready? Well, let's find out!" He gave a wide grin, and Izuku felt his heart race. It was finally happening. This was it—the moment he'd been waiting for, training for, dreaming about.

"First things first," Present Mic continued, his voice dropping to a more serious tone. "The written exam is over, and now you'll face the practical exam. You'll be judged on how well you handle real-life situations. This isn't just about brute strength or raw power; it's about strategy, creativity, and adaptability. The goal is to demonstrate your skills, your quick thinking, and your ability to work under pressure."

Present Mic gave a wild gesture, and suddenly, the screens behind him lit up with a map of the arena. It was a large cityscape. "Right behind is a realistic simulation of what is going to go down! The goal for this exam is you have a designated area that you are assigned to on your cards. You will have to fight the robots that you see on your card and based on the size and power of the robot you will be rewarded different points. They are either worth 1 point, 2 points, or 3 points!" he said showing them the screen of what they looked like.

"Huh, interesting. So, we need to get as many points as possible and those are the people that are most likely to get in," Izuku said analyzing the robots.

A near the front row stood up and asked a question. He was fairly tall and had a pair of glasses on that he adjusted before speaking.

"Excuse me, sir. If you say to fight these three robots, why is there a fourth?" he asked putting his hand down.

Present Mic grinned, clearly anticipating the question. "Ah, excellent observation! That's what we call the 'zero-pointer.' It's a massive robot that doesn't give you any points if you defeat it. It's more of an obstacle than anything else, so we recommend that you avoid it altogether!"

The murmurs among the students grew louder. Izuku couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and dread. A robot that big could cause serious damage and avoiding it might be the best strategy. But what if it threatened the safety of others?

"And you with the unruly hair near the back," said the boy pointing at Izuku making him surprised.

"Be quiet, it is annoying to hear you murmuring constantly," he said sitting down. Izuku felt embarrassed after that remark and kept to himself for the remainder of the presentation.

"Now look at the designated battle zone on your card and head to the bus with that Letter on it. Good luck to you all and let's go PLUS ULTRA!" he said pumping his fist into the air.
