Chapter 79: The Worm:

Jack's POV:

Last year, we fought against Evox, the Society of Ultimate Villainy, and Metlar. We were warned about creatures from the Dungeon Master's world coming here, but so far, things seem to be quiet. That's me, Jack Darby, the current leader of the team.

Over there are my friends, Miko Nakadai and Raf Esquivel. The three of us were involved in a war between two groups of alien robots.

That's Marvin F. Hinton AKA Roadblock. He was part of a military team that was framed for a crime they didn't commit.

That's Erika Violette. She has these purple energy powers. She's dating one of the Flex Fighters.

That's Nigel Brightmore. He can summon creatures from another dimension. He used to be a bad guy.

Over there is Steel. He's a robot with human DNA and Cybertronian CNA and can transform into a scarab beetle.

That's Arashi. He's from the Planet Zii and rides a large metallic liger.

That's Sunset Shimmer. The newest member. She can read minds.

"Shouldn't something be happening," asks Miko.

"I guess it's hard to top defeating a demon," says Raf.

"Miko's right," says Steel, "I was hoping for another adventure!"

Then the Director came in. "We have a visitor," he says.

It was Draco Lacum aka the Dungeon Master. We call him Drake.

"What doh you fancy," asks Brightmore.

"Remember my warning? Now, creaTtues from my world ae going to invade your world!"

"Well, that hasn't happened," says Miko.

"I know, I thought that was quiTte strange. I guess they've been asleep since the end of last Summer..."

"Actually Summer ended before that," says Raf.

"The point is, they're all awake! We have a problem. Those things ae dangeous in my world, imagine what they can do hee! In a world that doesn't use that much magic!"

"You mean something's happening," asks Miko.

"Yes..."

Miko hugs Drake. "What are we waiting for?"

"We did get word that there's something strange going on in Texas," says Director Flagg.

"Then what are we waiting for," asks Miko, "let's go!" Miko runs off.

"Wait for us, Miko," I said.

. . .

We arrived in Texas.

"What's your name again," asks Drake.

"Sunset Shimmer."

"The people in your town must look like characters from Doug," says Drake.

"Really? Never notice,"

"Okay, we should split up..." I began.

"Too risky with these creaTtues," says Drake, "besides, if you look at this big hole, you can tell what it is." Drake checks the hole. "It's a worm."

"We came all this way for a worm," asks Miko.

"A Thrum Worm! A magical beast. They ae an unusual, giant breed of worm used by gnomes as mounts."

"It's a worm," says Miko.

"Listen to me, they try to avoid combat when they can, but when they're forced to, they can be very dangeous!"

"You found one in your apple, didn't you," asks Miko.

"One thing's for sue," I said, "has to be big to make a hole like that. Let's keep an eye out."

"I'll search the ground." Steel turns to his beast mode and enters the hole.

"Let's get to work guys," I said.

. . .

Drake, Miko, and I were checking some trees.

"This worm better be big," says Miko.

"I can promise you that," says Drake, "and once we find this worm, I'm going to use these dice to send it back to my world."

"Dice," I asked.

"Mystic dice. All I have to do is role a tuelve and I can open a portal to my world. The trick is hoping I get a tuelve."

"So, we have to rely on luck," says Miko.

"Pretty much."

Steel's POV:

I was checking the underground, searching for the worm. So far, I haven't found it, but when I bumped into a wall, I felt something slimy. I have a bad feeling about it.

Jack's POV:

We all heard something and ran to check it out.

"That the worm," asks Roadblock.

The worm then comes out... and Steel's hanging on to its head.

"It's a big worm alright," says Steel.

"Where's a giant bird when you need it," asks Erika.

"Ra-Vu, Seekah of Lightning," says Brightmore as his partner shows up.

Ra-Vu tries to fight the worm as Steel gets off.

"I don't think that's enough," says Sunset.

Then Liger attacks the worm.

"Thought we could give Ra-Vu a hand," says Arashi.

Ra-Vu and Liger then fought the worm.

"I'll roll the dice," says Drake. He rolls the dice but gets a snake-eyes.

"What does snake-eyes do," asks Miko.

"Awesome ninja stuff," says Roadblock, joking.

The worm then grows an extra head.

"That," says Drake.

The two-headed worm then leaves.

"This won't be easy," I said.

. . .

We were at the jet. We weren't leaving yet; we just needed a place to regroup.

"A giant worm," says Miko, "awesome!"

"A giant worm with two-heads," says Erika.

"These dice ae unpredictable," says Drake.

"And only rolling a twelve will get Double Trouble back to your world," asks Roadblock.

"That's the deal. Just be glad it wasn't a six."

"What's a six do," I asked.

"You don't want to know."

"So, how do we find the worm," asks Erika.

"Wait, I think I can sense it," says Sunset.

"We could use that to find it," says Arashi.

"Yeah, but its two minds are giving me a headache," says Sunset.

"Well, it's the best lead we got," I said, "Sunset, lead us to the worm."

. . .

We followed Sunset to the worm.

"Can't we fie destroy it," asks Brightmore.

"They can only be destroyed in my world," says Drake," if you destroy them hee, they'll come back and stronger."

"Can any of us roll the dice," asks Steel.

"I'm sorry to say, but if you roll them, then they're just dice. Only a Dungeon Master can actually use them."

"What does that title mean," asks Erika.

"That is the question, isn't it?"

"I think we're getting closer," says Sunset.

She ran and we followed her.

. . .

We then found the worm. It was eating everything. Liger jumps on the worm.

Drake rolls the dice again and he gets a ten.

"That's not good," says Drake.

The worm splits in two.

"I don't think I like this game," says Miko.

The two worms attack Liger.

"One still need to rest one's manah," says Brightmore.

The two worms then left.

. . .

"This is not going well," says Miko.

"What we need to do is find a way to lure the worms to us," I said.

"But how," asks Raf.

"Get giant apples," asks Steel.

"The best bait I can think of is a worm," says Miko, "but that would be redundant."

"I might have something," says Drake.

. . .

We used a large boombox to attract the worm. Raf had to make it. The music brought both worms to us. Ra-Vu and Liger then tried to hold them down. The worms let out a sonic scream.

"Was that the dice," asks Miko.

"No, I forgot to mention the Thrum Worm has a sonic scream!"

During the fight, Drake rolls the dice, and it's a twelve. A portal opens and sucks both worms in.

. . .

"So, still glad you had an exciTting adventue," asks Drake.

"It was still better then boredom," says Miko.

"You know," I said, "it would be easier if you officially joined us."

"Right now, I have to find the other creaTtues." Drake then left.

Drake's POV:

I was quiTte in this flat I was quiTte staying in. Then suddenly, I grabbed my own neck. I looked in the mirror and thee was quiTte a message.

Hi Drake!

It takes place after both Chapter 78 of Unit: E and Unit: E's First Children's Day. In the next chapter, Draco Lacum officially joins Unit: E and the team deals with a vampire.
