FALL YEAR 1 DAY 2
Dear Diary,
I think we were right to get weapons from John. I feel a lot safer with them, than without. I mean, I guess taking a weapon might get us killed in the first place, but - believe it or not - I don't think John noticed the missing items at all.
And I'm not just saying this because of wishful thinking.
So, this afternoon I saw him building more of those platforms across the sky. He was just a speck up there, but I went to Penny's place and borrowed one of Maru's old telescopes. (Penny and Pam moved into Sebastian's old house. It kind of bothers me that they did that, but at this point that's the least of my problems. After all, we have these alien people standing around). So I get the telescope and do my best to zoom in on that little figure in the sky... and no doubt about it. It's John. He's got that same horned helmet and the wings and the cape. It was like death didn't even matter.
And I'm pretty sure he saw me as well, because when I looked at him - he stood straight from placing wooden platforms in air, flipped up his visor and looked straight back at me. I mean, hell - he would have to blow a kiss to make it any more obvious.
Anyways, he didn't really seem to be mad or anything. Like, I guess he doesn't care that we tried to commit mutiny against him? Or maybe he thought it was The Wizard's idea? Well, in any case. I'm still not going to run around and flaunt stolen weapons. I get the feeling like I'm gonna need them soon.
I make sure to communicate this to everyone else. Bartender Girl is definitely a lot more intimidating when she's swinging around a giant sledgehammer - haha. The thing looks like it can break anything.

FALL YEAR 1 DAY 3
Dear Diary,
We discovered more of the weird people today.
So so far - The Guide is boarded up in Willy's house. The Merchant took over Pam's trailer and The Nurse is in The Clinic. Well, turns out there's a few more people in town, and they're living in places where you wouldn't expect them to.
There is this middle eastern looking guy who moved in. He looks like he stepped straight out of a storybook, and has this really brightly coloured turban and these really interesting clothes. If he wasn't an alien, I would definitely try to be his friend. Anyways - he's the same as the rest. Dead-eyed, canned lines. He says he's the Dye Trader and sells these jars of dye. He moved into Bimbo's and Bartender's living room.
Like, can you even do that? Move into somebody's living room?
They've been unsuccessful in evicting him. He just stands there, staring blankly at nothing. The sisters are ultra creeped out, and everyone would definately have supported them if not for the tons of other people who now have unwelcome roommates.
My family isn't exempt from this... because this... kid moved into our living room.
Like, he's 12 - and he has that dead eyed look, and whenever I talk to him, he says something snarky and asks me to catch fish...
Like. what.
Anyways, he's a bit annoying but isn't super threatening. Mom was super creeped out by him and so is Vincent. Maybe they think he's gonna go all chucky on them? I mean, that's a movie but this is a real possibility. After all, John exists so... I found some duct-tape and rope, tied up the little bastard, locked him in the wardrobe and pushed the cabinet doors-first against the wall.
The kid didn't say anything or complain, and has been quiet since... although every time I walk by, he muffles something about fish.
That's not the end of it. It's like we're getting invaded in this really weird way. The Mueller's had a spare room (RIP Alex) and this... wolf woman moved in. She howls and yips like a wild animal. She's like a rabid werewolf, and I really didn't want her to run around and attack people. Bartender lady told me about the issue, and I brought The Gun I stole from John. We killed and Buried The Wolf lady (I got a good shot)... but we know she'll be back. Do we just need to kill them every time they revive? This is so messed up...
Well, I didn't have enough time to check up on everyone today, but on my way home from killing wolf-woman, I looked up to see John is almost done with that giant series of platforms. I think, once he finishes, there's gonna be something big... I've got my fingers crossing hoping a train comes by soon, so we can all skip town.

FALL YEAR 1 DAY 4
Okay holy shit.
So, more people were moving in - right? but The Mullers (Alex's grandparents) were all rattled by The Werewolf lady and Granny Muller had a stroke or something. Gus was the first one to rush over to help and raised a ruckus late last night. Of course, I had to come out to see what the commotion was about.
So Granny is all messed up, foaming at the mouth and not breathing well etc... Mr. Muller is freaking out and insist we see a doctor.
Thing is. Doctor Guy is dead.
The only person in the clinic is that scary nurse, right? But with Granny on the brink of death, I guess its worth a shot. So we put Granny on a makeshift gurney and run her over to The Clinic at 3 in the morning where The Nurse is wide awake, standing at the place Maru used to stand with that blank eyed stare and the syringe of scary fluid locked and loaded at her side. She doesn't even glance at us as we bring Granny in, and only talks when spoken to.
Well, I talk to her and she just tells me she doesn't do plastic surgery. I'm like... what?!
Then George, of course, rolls up and starts yelling from his wheelchair. She just looks at him and asks for one gold... which is literally nothing, but George is so mad he doesn't pay it. I pay it instead.
And you know what happened?
The Nurse stabbed *George* with that giant needle.
and then do you know what happened?
His *freaking legs fixed*!
It was instant. Everyone was flabbergasted. He hardly noticed because he was so mad at The Nurse, but he had gotten up to yell in her face. She had no reaction anyways, so she wasn't upset or anything.
So we put Granny Mullner on the counter in front of The Nurse and I ask her how much to fix her. The Nurse just thinks im trying to get healed, so repeats the canned line about plastic surgery. Thankfully Granny Muller is concious enough to talk, so she manages to ask. We pay 2 gold and wham.
Granny is as good as new.
So... I guess we got an improved Doctor in town. That's one good thing John brought upon us.
Oh, we also noticed this huge black dude living in one of the hospital rooms. He is bristling with guns and ammunition, and (naturally) nobody even tried to talk to him... but if I run out of ammo, I wonder if he will sell?
I think I'll talk to him tomorrow.
I haven't seen Clint in a few days. He's kind of a hermit anyways, so its not surprising, but usually he comes out to simp over Bartender Lady at the bar every night. I haven't seen him there, so slightly worried. There has been an unbelieveable amount of leaves flying in the sky over the past few days. I mean, it's fall - but pretty sure the trees lose leaves quite so quickly.

FALL YEAR 1 DAY 5
Okay, super gross... George with his new legs went and did something. He and Granny Muller dug up Alex's corpse and brought it to The Nurse. Apparently she can't raise the dead, but there is this horrid smell all over the north end of town, because they were dragging dead body around. Like, I really feel for the Mullers, but still. Ugh. I'm glad I wasn't there to witness it.
Instead, I had to witness something even more gross.
You know how Clint was missing for a bit and there were too many flying leaves yesterday?
Well, Clint also has an extra room in his place... and this almost naked woman moved into that room. Of course, it was another alien person, but holy shit. She was pretty much wearing a bikini of leaves that flapped up and down, so there was almost nothing left to imagination.
Clint... being Clint must have gotten handsy, because when I walked into The Blacksmith shop and saw the woman just standing there (per usual. Blank stare, canned lines, but an actual model like whoa), and at her feet was Clint's decomposing corpse. It looks like some mysterious aura is doing damage to him, but its not doing anything to me. Is it because I wasn't aggressive towards her? Probably.
Well, im glad to leave the naked woman by herself because its pretty clear what happens if you attack her without killing her (I wonder now what would have happened if I hadn't killed wolf-lady in one shot). So I pay The scary gun dude a visit and purchase a single gold worth of Ammo... which is like, three hundred bullets. I think, as long as we're peaceful, the NPCs won't mess with us.
John's a different story though.
The Platforms are done. Something tells me we needs to bunker down tonight.

FALL YEAR 1 DAY 6
Mom's gone.
Just...
Last night, everyone went to sleep except for me. I stayed awake to guard The Door with my gun, just in case something came in.
But the danger didn't come in through the door... It came through the walls. But it didn't break the walls! It just phased through! I... i don't even know!
The Sun set last night, then there is this horrible, otherworldly roar. The Ground shakes and there is this horrible screeching noise, like steel scraping against rock. Then. this... train (its the size of a train) just plows up out of the floor, through the ceiling - catches mom's leg and just slices it off... and just keeps going. I dunno how long this thing is, but tis covered in knives and has these evil red glowing 'mechanical eyes' all over it.
So Mom's bleeding out and I'm freaking out. I do my best! I really did! She's screaming as I bind up her leg and squeeze it as much as I can - but the artery is just spurting blood. I put her on my back and run to The clinic like I never ran before. I know The Nurse can fix this. Mom survives until we get there. i throw her on the counter. The Nurse asks for money and... I forgot my wallet.
How am I supposed to remember! I was in such a rush! And The Nurse won't even do anything until she gets paid her single Gold, and I'm super mad. I threaten to kill her if she doesn't heal my mom. I promise to bring her money later. No Dice. I book it home to get my cash... and by the time I get back, Mom's dead.
Vince isn't awake yet. I don't know how to tell him. I left mom's body at The clinic. I know it's my fault, but why couldn't The Nurse just fix Mom? I know its effortless for her.
Ugh.
I feel sick.
The Roaring is still going on outside, but I don't care anymore.
I'm feeling so numb.
