Chapter 93: Alakshmi:

Miko's POV:

Director Flagg was introducing the new girl.

"This is Alakshmi. She's a duelist. Like Nigel Brightmore, she was also working with the Choten," says Director Flagg.

"I hope she's not a sour puss like he was," I said.

"Hello everyone," says the new girl.

"So, you also got those creatures," asks Roadblock.

"Razorkinder Puppet of Miasma Pit!" Alakshmi then summons this creepy puppet.

"That's incredible," says Steel, "you'd be perfect for Halloween!"

"By the way," says Director Flagg, "you got a job. Something's going on in Vegas."

"Then let's get going," I said.

. . .

We arrived in Vegas.

"According to Director Flagg, there's weird smoke found in different casinos," says Jack, "let's look around."

"Found one," says Steel.

We then walked over to the casino.

. . .

When we entered, everyone was running out because of the smoke.

"You know," says Steel, "there are some advantages to not being human. Like in this case, the smoke can't get to me."

"Can you detect the source," asks Jack.

"This way," says Steel.

We followed Steel.

. . .

We then found the source. "It's Jack Kinland," says Erika, "AKA Smokestack! He was a crime boss who was turned into this smoke monster by Stretch Monster!"

"What's he doing here," I asked.

"To win of course," says Smokestack, "but first, I gotta make sure there's always an available machine."

"So, you drive everyone out," says Jack.

"Can you handle smoke," asks Smokestack.

"He has that advantage," says Alakshmi.

"Didn't you know smoking's bad for your health," asks Roadblock.

"Hasn't done anything for me," says Smokestack.

Steel tries to punch him, but Smokestack turns himself to smoke and leaves.

"Like we don't have enough problems," says Jack.

. . .

We exited the casino.

"Okay Team," says Jack, "split up."

We did so.

. . .

Alakshmi, Drake, and I checked out this one cassino. We entered.

"Check out the sign," I said.

The sign says, 'No smoking'.

"Do you think Smokestack would follow that rule," asks Alakshmi.

"More than likely not," says Drake.

"Well, let's look around," I said.

Roadblock's POV:

Raf, Steel, and I entered a cassino.

"Hold it," says a man, "the kid's too young. He has to wait outside."

"It's okay guys," says Raf, "just let me know if you need me."

Steel and I then entered. So far, no smoke. Steel and I looked around.

Erika's POV:

Arashi and I entered a cassino.

"So far, no smoke," says Arashi.

"But there is a smell, but I think it's that guy," says Erika.

There's a gassy man.

"Let's keep looking," says Arashi.

Jack's POV:

Sunset and I checked out a casino.

"I smell smoke," she said.

We then ran to the source... which turned out to be a guy smoking. Out of anger, Sunset knocked it out of the guy's hand and stepped on it.

Miko's POV:

We were looking around the cassino.

"I smell smoke," says Alakshmi.

We look and see Smokestack.

"There he is," says Drake.

Smokestack begins to make his move, but Drake traps him in a mystic bubble.

"Magic," asks Smokestack, "that's a new one."

"Try smoking out of that one," says Miko.

Then Smokestack's goons came and fired guns at us. I got out my NERF blaster and we ended up fighting back against them.

"Meteosaur," says Alaksmi. A large volcano dinosaur thing showed up, but it started trashing the place, allowing Smokestack to get away.

. . .

We all regrouped.

"Sorry," says Alakshmi, "I didn't think that through."

"Well, we still need a way to catch Smokestack," says Jack.

"If only we can sniff him out," I said.

Alakshmi then looked like she had an idea. "Ember-Eye the Indomitable!" A large, winged reptile then appeared, and Alakshmi got on its back. "Sniff out some smoke!"

Alakshmi and her Ember-Eye then left to find Smokestack and I followed.

. . .

I followed Alakshmi and her Ember-Eye to a cassino. I walked in and I saw Alakshmi talking to Smokestack.

"So, what do you want," asks Smokestack.

"We play a game. If I win, you surrender."

"And if I win?"

"Then I'll tell you where our base is."

I was shocked.

"You guys are some kind of secret agents. Yeah, I could use that info. I accept."

Alakshmi and Smokestack then played one of those games that involves dice. Smokestack rolled his, but... he got snake eyes. Alakshmi rolled her dice, and it was a twelve.

"Where have I seen those dice before," I asked.

"Okay, I'm gonna..." Then a portal opened and sucked Smokestack in. "WHAT IS THAT?"

I then walked over to Alakshmi. "You...took Drake's dice?"

"Yeah, I did."

. . .

We met with the others.

"The dice can send other creatures to my world," says Drake, "who knew? Oh, and ask next time."

"Well, he's made of smoke, so he'll probably be alright," says Jack, "nice going, Alakshmi."

"I think you're gonna do alright," I said.

Alakshmi then smiled.

In the next chapter, the team meets the Stingers while Drake tries to free Ronald from Xycon's control.
