Chapter 96: Esperweed:
Drake's POV:
We have a new problem. That soulless bag of bones has taken compleTte control of Raf and now we need to think of a plan to stop him.
"Is there a way to beat him without hurting Raf," asks Miko.
"Our best bet is to find a way to exorcise him," I said, "but first we'll need to find him."
"Can you use your telepathy to find him," asks Alakshmi.
"I'm not that strong," says Sunset.
"But maybe you can be," I said, "thee is a special herb. It's called Esperweed. It can increase one's mental abiliTties. Including..."
"Sunset's telepathic powers," says Erika.
"Only one problem," I said, "I'm not sure if any esperweed has come to this world."
"And none of us have the power to locate plants," says Steel.
"I think I might know someone that can help," says Erika.
Xykon's POV:
I found a place where magic is at its strongest. The Wizard's Coast.
"A lovely place, isn't it?" It was the ram, Grogar. "Why are you here?"
"I have a favor to ask of you, my sheepish friend."
"And what would be in it for me?"
"I'll get you back what was taken from you."
"What do you need?"
"A vampire."
Drake's POV:
We were in Charter City where we met Oleg Savic, formerly known as Biomass.
"...and that's what we need help with," says Erika.
"I have heard recent rumors about such a plant," says Mr. Savic, "I think it looks something like this." He shows us a picture.
"That's the Esperweed," I said.
"It's rumored to have been spotted at Big Sur National Park," says Mr. Savic.
"That's also where a certain evil computer virus made his hideout," says Miko.
"Let's go," says Jack.
Xykon's POV:
Grogar and I arrived in New Orleans, the spot where Mortas was banished. Grogar recited the spell and a portal opened.
"Eu'm back," says Mortas.
"A deal's a deal." I then threw Grogar his bell. Grogar put it on.
"Thank you. Now that I have my bell back," says Grogar, "I'll be taking your powers!"
Grogar tries to take our powers but fails.
"I'm surprised you didn't know this about your own little toy," I said, "it only works in Equestria." I then blasted Grogar away.
"You will pay for this," says Grogar.
"Thank tu pentru bringing me back, Master."
"Come Mortas, we have work to do," I said.
Drake's POV:
We arrived at Big Sur National Park.
"The Esperweed could be anywhere," says Jack, "split up."
Miko's POV:
Roadblock, Steel, and I checked one area.
"I hope we'll be able to get Raf back," says Steel.
"Don't worry," says Roadblock, "we'll make Xykon pay."
I then thought I saw a shadow.
Alakshmi's POV:
Arashi, Erika, and I checked an area.
"So, this is where Evox was hiding," says Arashi.
"According to Miko, he was underground," says Erika.
"Remember this, he's still out there," I said.
Drake's POV:
Jack, Sunset, and I checked an aea.
"Any luck," asks Jack.
"So far, no," I said.
"Wait, I think I found it," says Sunset.
Then thee was quiTte a sudden eclipse.
"That's weird," says Jack.
"Not so much," says Xykon as he appeared, "I had to find some way for my batty friend to come out of the shadows."
We then saw Mortas the Vampie.
"Great," says Jack.
Mortas then came at us, but we dodged. I then blasted him.
"How did you get this bloodsucker back," I asked.
"Let's just say I had to trade a bell to a certain ram," says Xykon.
"Grogar," asks Sunset.
"Oh relax. He can't use it in this world."
Mortas then turns to mist and surrounded us, but I summoned wind to clear the aea.
"We have to move," I said.
. . .
We managed to regroup with the others.
"What's up," asks Miko.
"Mortas is back," says Jack.
"That must've been the shadow you saw," says Roadblock.
We then heard a laugh. Two people laughing.
"We have to get to the jet," says Jack.
"Hurry," I said.
. . .
We wee quiTte running towards the jet with bats following us. One of them could be Mortas... assuming he can't turn into a flock of bats. Mortas then appeaed in front of us.
"Going somewhere," asks Mortas.
"Razorkinder Puppet of Miasma Pit," says Alakshmi. Razorkinder then comes out and attacks Mortas.
Mortas tries to bite Razorkinder, but since Razorkinder's a puppet, nothing. "Blasted toy!"
Mortas then throws Razorkinder to the ground and defeats him, but an arm remains.
"Now I shall..."
Roadblock makes a stake out of Razorkinder's arm and uses it to stake Mortas. Mortas then screams and turns to ash.
"That was for the puppet," says Roadblock. The arm then disappears back to the Creature World.
"Takes care of one problem," says Miko.
"Let's go," says Jack.
. . .
We arrived back at the base. Sunset was using the Esperweed to increase her own power.
"This is incredible," says Sunset, "I can sense what's going on with Ben 10 and Jackie Chan."
"Right now, we need to find Xykon," says Jack.
"I just had a thought," says Drake, "Roadblock, you said Miko saw a shadow, correct?"
"Yeah, she even followed... it. Wait, where is she?"
Xykon's POV:
I was waiting outside. I then had a call.
"Well," I asked.
"This is Miko. Get ready to come inside, Xykon."
You see, my plan was to have Mortas turn one of them into our vampire ally, and now she's going to help me take them down.
In the next chapter, Jack, Sunset, and Drake will end up trapped with a Snowflake Ooze.
