Chapter 97: Snowflake Ooze:
Sunset's POV:
So, Raf has been possessed by Xykon and he brought back a vampire. Luckily, we defeated the vampire, but we still need to find Xykon so we can save Raf. But thanks to this esperweed, I should be able to find him. There's also another thing we should worry about, so first, I'm using the Esperweed to find Miko, because we're all worried Mortas got to her before we destroyed him.
"So, where is she," asks Roadblock.
"I got something," I said, "she's...at the front door!"
"Why would Miko go there," asks Erika.
"What if it's to let someone in," suggests Jack.
Xykon's POV:
My plan was to have Mortas bite one of the agents of Unit: E, and it worked. Thanks to Miko, I can now enter. I could've used Raf, but my mistake was letting them all know I was in command of his body. So now I have to rely on this. Miko opens the door for me.
"Welcome to Unit: E," says Miko.
"Time for some fun," I said.
Sunset's POV:
We were on our way to Miko, but we ran into her... and Xykon.
"Well, if it isn't my welcoming party," says Xykon.
"It's over, Xykon," says Jack.
"The game only ends when I say so," says Xykon.
"Wrong," says Drake, "the Dungeon Master decides how the game works!"
"Well, sorry for going against your rules. Give me the dice and no one will be hurt."
"I would die first," says Drake.
"THAT CAN BE ARRANGED!" Xykon then activates Raf's Maximal powers and comes for Drake. Drake then tosses the dice to Erika. "NO!" Xykon then zaps me, Drake, and Jack.
. . .
I woke up and saw it was just me, Jack, and Drake.
"Where are we," I asked.
"No where good," says Jack, "and nowhere warm. It's freezing here!"
"I just hope the others remember to use the dice," says Drake.
"If they roll a twelve," says Jack, "what happens to Raf?"
"He... may have to go with Xykon."
Jack then grabs Drake by the shirt. "We can't let that happen!"
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... guys? What's that?"
I was pointing to a weird blob thing.
"A snowflake ooze," says Drake, "a strange, almost beauTtiful form of ooze that lurks in freezing cold places. It resembles a large snowbank, but once it moves, it is clearly an ooze, as it obeys the same tactics of grabbing and constricting prey. Its body leeches heat, dealing cold damage instead of acid damage, unlike other oozes."
"And I'm guessing we're the prey," says Sunset.
"I'm afraid so," says Drake.
"We better move," says Jack.
Erika's POV:
We were up against a vampire Miko and a Xykon-controlled Raf. They zapped Jack, Drake, and Sunset, and the three disappeared.
"What did you do to them," asks Roadblock.
"I sent them somewhere cold," says Xykon, "now give me a turn with the dice."
"You'll never get to use them," says Steel.
"How'bout we use them against you," says Alakshmi.
"Didn't you know," says Xykon, "you do that and Raf will go with me."
"That... would make things a little difficult," says Arashi.
Miko attempts to attack us, but Steel grabs her.
"I'll hold off Miko," says Steel, "just keep those dice away from Xykon!"
The rest of us then run.
Sunset's POV:
We were trying to get away from the Snowflake Ooze.
"It's still gaining on us," I said.
"I'm afraid it doesn't give up so easily," says Drake, "and without the dice, I can't get rid of it!"
"Let's go in that cave," says Jack.
We then entered the cave and blocked the entrance. Jack tries to call HQ.
"Anything," I asked.
"Wherever we are," says Jack, "there isn't much of a signal."
"We can't stay in this cave forever," says Drake.
"Did you see that blob out thee," I asked, "because I've seen enough moves about blobs to know they ae not friendly!"
"We need a plan," says Jack.
Erika's POV:
I still had the dice, and I had to keep them away from Xykon. Alakshmi and I ran into the director's office.
"What's going on," asks Director Flagg.
"Xykon's turned Miko into a werewolf and is in the building," I said.
"Of course," says Director Flagg.
"Also, Jack, Drake, and Sunset have all disappeared," says Alakshmi.
"Well, we better find a way to fix all of this."
Roadblock's POV:
Arashi and I were in the cafeteria.
"We have to find Erika and Alakshmi and keep them safe," says Arashi.
"Alakshmi can summon creatures and Erika's got superpowers," I said.
"Good point, but Xykon could take the dice from them!"
"Except I secretly took the dice from Erika while she wasn't looking." I then revealed the dice to Arashi.
"That's impressive, but what if Xykon realizes Erika doesn't have the dice?"
"He already knows," says Xykon as he shows up.
"Great," I said.
Steel's POV:
I was still fighting the vampirized Miko.
"Miko, you have to fight it," I said.
"Sorry, but I'm having too much fun," says Miko.
I tried to grab her, but she turned to mist. She then takes form and punches me through a wall. This is not going to go well.
Sunset's POV:
We were still in the cave with the Snowflake Ooze still out there.
"Anyone got a plan yet," I asked.
"Wait, I have a mystical iTtem that can trap the Snowflake Ooze in an energy field," says Drake, "it is called a 'Koosh Ball', thee's just one problem, I don't have it with me. I did when Xykon zapped us..."
"Could it be out there," asks Jack.
"We may have a problem," says Drake.
Erika's POV:
I checked my pocket.
"Hey, where's the dice?"
"Roadblock was pretty close to you," says Alakshmi, "do you think he took them?"
"That explains why Xykon isn't here," says Director Flagg.
"We better find Roadblock and Arashi," I said.
Sunset's POV:
Jack volunteered to sneak out to get the Koosh Ball. As he's sneaking, the Ooze finds him and heads towards him, but he manages to grab the ball and uses it, trapping the Ooze.
"Well done," says Drake.
"Too bad we're still stuck here," I said.
"Wait, I hear something," says Jack. We go over to the source and see some Skrulls exiting their ship.
. . .
We took the Skrull Ship and headed back to base.
"How do you know how to fly this," I asked.
"Luck I guess," says Jack.
"There it is," says Drake.
We then landed the ship.
. . .
When we got in, we saw Steel, Roadblock, and Arashi all tied up.
"Look what I got," says Xykon, "now let's see if I'm lucky."
Drake manages to zap Xykon.
"I hope Raf's okay," says Sunset.
Drake manages to get the dice back.
"Let's go, Miko!"
Xykon and Miko then disappear. Director Flagg, Alakshmi, and Erika then show up.
"Too late," says Drake.
"Great," says Erika.
. . .
Drake used the dice to send the Snowflake Ooze back.
"So now we've lost Raf and Miko," I said.
"We'll get them back," says Jack, "somehow."
In the next chapter, the team deals with Remorhazes.
