I think this story, we'll have me being lazy about Bec's outfits. It's the outfit that Madison of My scene wore in 'Getting Ready and Out and About.'

It's one of my favorite outfits in My Scene

Welcome to Resident Evil!

Enter the Survival Horror Chapter 6

Early October, 2023

Bec has been siting in her room, for the past two weeks. She only ventures out of her room when she's hungry, and has been ignoring her phone. She was still torn up over what happened a couple of weeks ago at Aida's place.

'I don't know what to do..' Bec was still reeling.

She wants to tell someone what happened to her, but fears and knows that she may not be taken seriously. 'I wish I had that talk with Rebecca.' Bec stands up and goes over to the closet.

She brings out the backpack that she used while in the game. It still had all the evidence that she, Billy and Rebecca had collected throughout that night.

Despite the backpack reminding her of what happened, she had no interest in getting rid of it.

It did contain some herbs and first aid spray from her time in the facility. She used them to help her recover in the last fourteen days and now there were none left.

She sighed, before going over to her window and looks out at the kids, playing across the street. 'I wish I can be as happy as them.' she muses.

Then she watches as a car pulls up, a car she recognizes as her friend's, Aida. She comes up to the house and rings the door bell.

Bec heads downstairs and opens the door, letting her in. "Hey, Bec. What's going on? Why have you been ignoring our calls?" Aida asks.

"I'm sorry Aida.. I've had a lot on my mind." Bec said, closing the door.

"Just to let you know, your parents called us. They are quite worried about you." she said, looking at Bec in concern.

"Your right.. but.. Aida I have a lot on my mind." Bec repeats. 'I'll have to get in touch with them.' Bec thinks, feeling guilty.

"Maybe you should call your parents, so you can tell them. Or you could tell me, what's on your mind." Aida said.

Bec stays silent. 'I don't think she'll take me seriously.'

Aida sighs, "Ok, don't tell me what it is. Get dressed." she said out of the blue.

Bec looks at her in surprise. "You actually forgot? We were meeting up at Jackie's house to do a marathon of horror games for October. Halloween sound familiar?" Aida reminds her.

Bec had forgotten all about that, "..Ok, but.. no Biohazard games tonight." Bec said.

Aida gives her a strange look, Bec heads upstairs, back to her room. She changes into a black and white skirt, that had stripes on the upper part of it and polka dots on the bottom, ending at mid thigh, a blue tank midriff, followed by a pink top with sleeves, also at ending at midriff, but with her shoulders peeking out, and black boots that go just below the knee.

Bec brushes her hair, she had decided to forgo the hat, as she looks at the backpack. She puts down the brush and makes the decision to take the bag with her. She puts it on her back, before heading downstairs, to where Aida was waiting.

"Let's go." Bec said as they head out the door. She pulls the door shut and locks it with her key. She and Aida then hop in her car and drive away.

"Say Bec, where did you get that leather backpack?" Aida asks.

"I picked it up from somewhere." she said.

They arrive at Jackie's house, which us about three blocks away. They get out of the car, with Bec grabbing the backpack from the back seat and walk up to the door.

They ring the doorbell and Jackie opens it. "You two are the first to arrive! Come on in!" she said, ushering them inside. When they were in, Jackie takes them to the living room, where the consoles are.

"Since you two arrived here first, I'll pop in Resident Evil Remake." Jackie said, going to do just that.

Bec grabs her arm, causing her to turn and look at her. ".. No Biohazard games tonight." Bec asks.

Jackie gives her a look of surprise and turns to look at Aida, who just shrugs, at why Bec doesn't want to play it.

Jackie looks back at Bec, "It's a classic and this month it's Halloween. It wouldn't be a horror game marathon without it." she said.

Bec let's go of her and unfortunately, Jackie turns on the PS4 and places the disc inside. "I don't understand why you don't want to play it. It has your favorite character from it and you get to play as him." Aida said. She was talking about Chris Redfield.

"I know.. I just don't feel like playing it." Bec said.

"Maybe not, but I got word from someone that they got an original PS with the original game itself! Sadly, they won't be here until tomorrow." Jackie said. She was hoping to make Bec excited.

Bec did feel a little excited but is still nervous. Then Aida, who went to the kitchen, shouts, "Hey! Where are the snacks?"

"Oh, shit! I forgot to get them. I'll make a trip to the supermarket." Jackie said. She had just finished setting up the game. It was on Real Survivor mode.

Jackie then goes over to the coffee table and grabs her keys. Aida comes out, "I'll go with you. We're going to need quite a bit."

"Wait!" Bec said, as Aida walks over to Jackie, who was at the door. They turn to look at her, "Can one of you stay? Or can I tag along?" Bec asks. She did not want to be alone with the game.

"Bec, someone needs to stay here and let the others in. I'm the one hosting it, so I need to get the snacks and Aida has already volunteered to go with me." Jackie said. She and Aida were quite confused about Bec's behavior.

Bec sadly accepts she's staying at the house. "Get back soon." she said to them.

"We'll be back as soon as possible! Have fun playing!" Aida said. She and Jackie leave the house.

Bec hears them drive away and looks around the room. 'Jackie went all out.'

She had three tv's, all varying in size and one old fashioned tv, for older consoles. There was even handhelds, so that everyone can to something even when they don't want to watch the gamers on the consoles.

Bec jolts as she hears gunshots, she looks at the tv that had Resident Evil on it. It then goes back to the title screen.

'I'll turn it off for now.' Bec really didn't want anything to happen and goes over to turn it off. As she does, a flash a light hits the room.

"What?!" Bec said, surprised. It does it again.

"Oh, no!" Bec realizes what's going on. She tries to flee the room, but the light flashes for a third time.

Like before, she vanishes.

Raccoon Forest July 24th, 1998

"Ah!" Bec said as fell on the ground, she landed on her hands and knees. As she catches her breath, she looks around, 'Shit! I'm in the forest!'

She gets back up to her feet, "Why is this happening again?" Bec asks aloud. She then hears something behind her.

She whips around to see what it was but there was nothing there. 'I better move. I'm a sitting duck if I just stay here.' Bec had lost all the weapons from the facility and had no herbs. She had been wearing the backpack since she left Aida's car earlier.

Bec walks in one direction and again hears something. This time she doesn't stop to look, but walks faster.

More noises are heard and not sure if it's nature or the Cerberuses, Bec goes into a run. 'I should be near the mansion!' Bec didn't want to go there, but considering the game, it was the closest place that offers protection.

Bec keeps on running, turning to look back to see if the dogs were chasing her, until she smacks into something or rather someone, who then puts his arms around her to keep her from falling. "Whoa! Are you ok?!" a man's voice asked.

Bec freezes as she recognizes the voice and looks up to the face of Chris Redfield.

"Miss? Are you ok?" Chris repeats his question.

"I-I'm ok." Bec manages to get out.

"What are you doing out here?" Chris asks. He let's her go after he's sure she's fine.

".. You won't believe me if I told you." Bec answers. 'I don't know if I'm in the same universe that I was in last time. I better keep quiet for now.' Bec couldn't bring herself to lie again.

Chris gives her a look, but then grabs his radio, "Captain Wesker? Come in. I got a civilian. Over." but there was no signal.

"The hell? It was working fine earlier." Chris said in confusion. Then a gunshot is heard. 'That gunshot..' Bec knew what that meant.

"What?! Damn! Come with me!" he orders Bec, running to where the shot was fired. She reluctantly follows him.

Jill was firing at the mutated dogs that have ripped apart Joseph, at least until she hears the clicking sound of her gun being empty.

One of the zombified dogs then turn to her, chomping on flesh ripped out from Joseph. It then runs and jumps, startling her that she fell to the ground, but before the dog landed on her, a shot was fired, killing it.

Jill looks surprised and turns to see Chris come up to her. "Let's go!" he said grabbing her by the arm and helps pull her up. She then sees a young girl behind him, looking behind them.

"The dogs!" Bec cried out. The other dogs realize that there was people alive and were coming.

"Move!" Chris shouts and they run.

They keep on running, with the dogs behind them. A spotlight goes over head, the helicopter that had brought Alpha team was leaving the aera.

"Hey Brad!" Chris shouts, but the chopper keeps going.

"Where the hell is he going?!" Chris said, mad. 'Why is he being a chicken heart now?!'

By this point the dogs were nipping their heels and one of them jumps, intending to land on Chris. Chris turns and stops as well as Bec and Jill, raising his arm in a futile attempt to defend himself and the girls.

Another shot rings out, killing the dog that was about to bite him. They behind them to see Wesker pointing his gun. "Chris, this way!" he orders.

They quickly follow him, joining up with Barry, who shoots at the mutts and they all ran from the pack of dogs.

Eventually, Chris and Bec see the mansion. "Make for that mansion!" Chris shouts, shooting back at the pack.

They get there, getting past the double doors as fast as possible and slamming them shut. They all take a breath inside the main hall of the mansion.
Bec was panting, 'That was scary!'

"Everyone all right?" Jill asks, once she recovers.

Chris was about to say yes, when he realizes Barry was missing. "Barry? Where's Barry?" he asks.

Wesker and Jill look around but they don't see Barry either. "He's.." Wesker trails off.

"No.." Jill said in despair.

Silence.

Wesker then changes his attention over to Bec. "Who are you? Why are you up in the mountains?" he questions her, his tone a bit harsh.

Bec trembles as she turns around to look at him, but stays silent.

"Wesker, sir. She's a civilian. She doesn't need to intimated right now." Chris said.

He then turns to her, "Can you please tell us who you are?" Chris asks, his tone gentle.

Bec then looks at him, "My name is Rebecca Venganaz. I prefer to be called Bec." she tells them.

"My name is Christopher Redfield, call me Chris. This man is captain Albert Wesker and she's called Jill Valentine. We're in the STARS unit of RPD." Chris introduces them to her.

"Why are you up in the mountains?" Jill asks the question this time.

".. I'm afraid, that would be too long of an explanation and I don't think you'll believe me." Bec answers honestly.

"There have been reports of a cult who eat people. We've received a report that they were hiding out in the forest. Though if recall, chief Irons gave public notice that no one is allowed in the forest or mountains, for the past three weeks." Wesker said.

"I'm not apart of a cult, if that's what your trying to imply." Bec said, this time looking at him in the eye.

"Your attire is not made for hiking or camping." he points out.

"Then, you just answered your own question." Bec snaps back.

Chris was about to step in between them, when they all hear a gunshot. They turn to look where it came from, the westside of the place.

"Chris, go check it out." Wesker orders him.

"Right." Chris said. He turns to head through the double doors in the west, when Bec grabs him by his arm.

"Take me with you!" Bec said.

"I don't-" Chris tries to protest.

Bec interrupts him, "You've kept me safe before! You can do it again!"

"It might be best if you stay here with me and Wesker." Jill said.

"No!" Bec said, stubbornly. She holds Chris by his arm and looks at him, "Please!" she said, pleadingly.

'I still don't know if I'm in the same universe as before. Either way, I'd rather not be with Wesker.' Bec knew that if this was the same universe from before, then there was no doubt that Wesker would recognize her, if he hasn't already, and would try to figure her out.

"Captain?" Chris asks, looking at Wesker.

"It would appear your hero nature as gotten you an admirer. Very well, Miss Venganza, you may accompany Christopher, but remember, you are to follow his instructions." Wesker said.

"Thank you." Bec said, letting go of Chris.

"Jill and I will remain here to secure this area." Wesker said. Bec and Chris then over to the doors.

"Take care you two!" Jill calls after them. As they shut the door to the dining room, Bec winces. She feels bad that she and Chris had to leave Jill alone with Wesker.

She and Chris check out the dining room. Bec thinks over what is needed. 'The wooden shield isn't needed until later. I think I'll leave it for now.'

Chris then sees a puddle of blood in front of the fireplace. "I hope this isn't from my friends." he said. He had noticed that the puddle was a nice sized one.

"That's all we can hope for. The gunshot did not originate from this room." Bec said, coming out of her thoughts.

"Yeah. Let's try this other door." Chris said, bringing out his gun.

Bec hides her surprise. "What model is that?" Bec asks. 'I suppose it makes sense. Capcom never stated whether Chris lost his gun or not in this game.'

"A Samurai Edge. Only STARS members have these." Chris said, opening the door.

They head through the threshold and hear a noise to their left. They go into the actual tea room and see a zombie, killing and eating Kenneth. Chris and Bec stare at this in shock.

The zombie then realizes, there were living people in the room with it. It groans as it turns to look at them and starts getting up.

The two then snap out of it. "Bec! Hall!" Chris shouts at her, shooting at the zombie.

"Shoot at the head!" Bec shouts back as she goes into the hall. Chris follows her as he shoots.

Chris then aims it just right and the zombie's head blows off.

They go to check out the body. "What the hell? A zombie?" Chris asks.

"It would appear to be so. Good thing that hitting their heads works in real life as well as the movies." Bec said. 'At least it won't come back as a crimson head.'

"We better check Kenneth." Chris said. They back into the room where Kenneth lay dead.

They check out Kenneth's body, "His gun is broken somehow, but his video recorder is intact." Chris said, taking the tape.

"It sounds crazy.. A real zombie?" Chris was really taken back.

".. The cult that Wesker talked about, maybe it was zombies. Not people." Bec suggests.

".. As weird as it sounds, it fits." Chris said, standing up.

"Let's get back to the main hall and report to Wesker." he said, standing up. They head back through the dining hall.

They arrive at the main hall, but neither Jill or Wesker were seen. "Wesker? Jill?" Chris called out in confusion.

"Where did they go?" Chris asks aloud, looking around.

"Chris! Over here." Bec said. He goes over her spot near the stairs and sees Jill's gun on the floor.

"This is Jill's... Why is it here?" Chris said, picking it up.

"Maybe something happened? Try your radio." Bec said.

Chris does just that, "Hello? Wesker? Jill?" he asks, but the radio still had no signal.

"Great. We're on our own." Chris said, putting the radio away.

"Can I have the Samurai?" Bec asks.

"Forget it. While this place isn't normal, it would be unethical to give a civilian an issued weapon." Chris said.

"Let's try these double doors. With luck, they were the ones that Jill and Wesker went through." he then said. He was talking about the doors that would take them to the art room.

"Let's go." Bec said. She doesn't tell Chris what happened, due to the fact she was positive, he wouldn't believe her.

They head into the art room and take a look. 'It's sad that beautiful artwork decorates a place like this.' Bec looks over the paintings.

Chris tries the single door in the room but it was locked. "We need a key. There's a shape of an sword on the door." he said.

"Maybe that is a meaning. Say, I see something in this urn, that the statue is holding." Bec said, 'looking' at it.

Chris comes over to see it but even he couldn't reach it. "There's a chest over here. I'll move it." Bec said. Before she could move, Chris stops her.

"I'll take care of it." he said. He hops over it, into the little hallway and pushes it near the urn.

Bec climbs up on it and takes the map out of the urn. She jumps off, making sure her skirt doesn't flip up, and opens it, "It seems to a map to the first floor of this place." she said 'checking' it out.

Chris looks it over, "There are a lot of rooms to cover. We're bound to run into others, hopefully the rest of Bravo team is still alive." Chris said. Bec is silent.

"Let's check out the back room." he said.

They go into the little hallway, seeing art work and other priceless things covered in sheets. The two reach the end of the hall and find a couple of daggers. "These could be useful." Chris said.

He grabs them and gives one to Bec, "If a zombie or whoever else gets you, get them with that." he said. Bec places it on the side of her bag.

Bec becomes nervous as they turn the corner, they stop upon hearing a moan. A zombie comes stumbling from around the other corner, Chris starts taking steps back, clearly surprised.

Bec goes forward, shoving it's arms and kicking at it's legs, before driving the dagger into it's head. It let's out a moan, before falling. Bec removes the dagger, 'I see. Unlike the game, you can retrieve these, if you want.' she thinks but she drops it. She didn't want anything odd to happen.

Chris stared at Bec, 'She knows martial arts, but she shouldn't have done that.'

"Let's get back to the room.. where Kenneth is." Bec said. They leave.

They get as far as the main hall, before Chris grabs her by the wrist, stopping them both. Bec turns to him.

".. Thank you for your help against the zombie, but you shouldn't have gotten so close to it." he said.

"I know, but I only had the dagger and my body. I didn't see another choice." Bec says.

".. Your right. You did what you needed to... Here." Chris said, handing her Jill's gun.

Bec looks him is surprise, as she takes it. "Until we figure out how zombies are here, it would be best if you rely on long range attacks for now. I'll deal with the aftermath of giving you a weapon like this. You can't lose or break that. It belongs to Jill." he said, sternly.

"I understand." Bec said. She could see that giving her Jill's gun was not something he would do easily.

"Let me show you how to use it." he said. Bec shakes her head and shows that she knows what she's doing.

"Not bad, but here's a few pointers." Chris gives extra advice on how to use it.

"Oh, here." he said, giving her some ammo. Bec reloads the gun.

"Who was your teacher?" Chris then asks.

".. Someone who you know." was all that Bec said.

Chris is a bit confused by the statement but shrugs it off. He then gives her the dagger he has. They continue back to the tea room and get back to where Kenneth's body is. They see a door nearby and go through it.

They check out the stairway that they find themselves in, finding an herb, which Bec makes into powder. Chris was checking out the dead body in the room.

"I don't see any injuries on this body. It's like it was an instant death. What in the world happened here?" Chris asks aloud.

"We'll just have to find out." Bec said, hiding what she knew. She walks over to Chris, who stands up. However they fail to notice the body twitch.

"We better go upstairs. There is nothing left in this room." Chris said.

"Yeah and-AH!" Bec screamed as a hand touches her ankle. She jumps away, falling on her butt and Chris whips out his gun, shooting the zombie in the head.

'Seriously Bec? Why now of all times- Shit!' Bec had realized that she was still wearing a skirt and quickly gets into a position that was more appropriate.

'Why didn't I wear pants for the party?' Bec hopes Chris didn't see anything.

Chris had turned to look at her, "You all right?" he asks.

Unbeknownst to Bec, Chris had turned to her as she was lost in thought and had seen her panties. He quickly turned away before Bec came out of her thoughts and saw him staring. He refused to look at her again until his blush went away.

'White..' Chris shakes his head and reaches down to pull her up.

When Bec was on her feet, "Thank you Chris." she thanks him.

"No problem. Let's move." he said.

They climb up the stairs and head through the door. They see a body, laying face down, facing the door that leads to the death passage. Near it was an herb, which Bec grabs and turns it into powder.

"Let's creep." Bec whispers to Chris.

They slowly peek around the next passage and walk into it. Bec then points to a mirror showing the reflection of a zombie.

"I'll get him." Chris whispers to her and shoots at the zombie, it's head explodes. Chris then tries the door near the mirror but it was locked. They continue down the hall, eventually coming across the statue with the arrow.

Bec takes it. "Why do you want that?" Chris asked.

"It might be useful." Bec whispered. Chris is confused as to why she was whispering, when he hears something from around the corner.

"Stay behind me." Chris said. He turns the corner and shoots at the zombie until falls down.

"Hey, there are some hand mags." Bec said, grabbing them from in front of the mirror.

"Hand me one please." Chris asks. Bec gives him one.

'It's the same thing from the facility, there are two of every item.' Bec realizes.

"Wake up! We got to keep going." Chris said. He tries the door that leads to the elevator corridor, but it's locked.

He then unlocks the door to the dining room and they head in to find a zombie wandering. They both shoot at it, it falls down, face to the floor. 'Too bad we can't use the lighter.' Bec thinks, before looking at the room.

"Chris.. I see something on that statue." Bec said, pointing to the other side.

They go over to it, seeing a jewel, but neither of them could reach it. Bec then pushes it. "What are you doing?" Chris asks.

"Since we can't reach it, I'll just push it off." Bec said, still pushing it. She reaches the gap where there is no railing and changes direction in pushing it. It tips over the edge and makes a spectacular crash on the floor below.

"I guess we'll stop there and get it, though I don't understand why you would want the jewel." Chris said.

"It might be useful." Bec said.

'Wait.. That's twice now she said that.' Chris wonders why Bec would think the arrow and jewel would be useful.

They then leave through the double doors, finding themselves in the main hall again, but on the second floor. They head down the stairs and into the dining room, where Bec grabs the jewel and put it in her bag.

"Chris, that painting in the main hall, there is a door in the center of it. I think we should check it out." Bec said.

"Hmm. I think your right. A lot of these doors are locked. Hopefully, that one isn't." Chris said.

They go back to the main hall and open the door, leading the to the back of the mansion, where a graveyard is. They see two zombies from where they are and ready their guns.

They get rid of the zombies and Bec 'finds' something, in the cemetery. "I found some shotgun shells." Bec said, picking them up. She then puts them away.

"There's a chance that a shotgun is around. As we're looking for the others, maybe we'll come across it." Chris said.

"Yeah." Bec said.

Bec then goes over to the big tomb, 'looks' it over. She takes the arrow and removes the arrowhead, placing it on the grave, where the cupid is shooting the arrow.

The grave moves, revealing the stairs underneath it. "How did you know that would work?" Chris asked her.

"I looked at the engraving and realized that an arrowhead can fit it. Thankfully, I grabbed that arrow." Bec said.

They head down the steps and hear gears grinding though out. They reach the floor and explore the room.

Chris finds the cursed book, "Wonder what this is doing here?" he asks.

"Good question. There's something on the back of it." Bec said, coming over to him and 'looking' it over.

Chris turns it around and sees a key embedded on the back of it. He removes it, making the book unlock and they read it.

Book of Curses

The four masks, a mask that speaks no evil... a mask that smells no evil... a mask that sees no evil... a mask that cannot speak, smell, or see evil...

When all four fall into place, evil will awaken.

"Wonder what it means?" Chris asks, giving it to Bec. She then puts it in her bag.

"It probably has something to do with this." Bec said, going over to the other side of the room.

This part of the room had four faces, each grotesque. "This one had no nose, this one has no mouth.." Bec trails off, pointing to the faces.

"So we find the masks and place them on these? But I don't see where an 'evil' will appear." Chris said.

"There was a coffin above you, from where you grab the book." Bec said, turning back to look at it.

Chris follows and sees what she means, "Ok. We'll avoid this evil. I can't risk your safety." he said.

"We may have to release it in order to go foreword." Bec warns him.

"Then we'll be concerned." Chris said firmly.

"Can I see the key?" Bec asks.

"Sure." he said, handing it to her. She 'looks' it over.

"There is a sword on this key. This might unlock that door in the art room." Bec said.

"Let's get back there then." Chris said. He was relived that they are getting somewhere.

They leave the graveyard and get back to the main hall, where they hear a noise. "What?" Chris said. It came from the entrance.

One of the doors is burst open, and the person tries to shut the door on the rapid dogs. One gets in and turns around, back to the doubles doors.

It snarls as the man shuts the door on it's pack and was about to lunge at him, until it gets pumped full of lead by Bec and Chris, who were behind it.

"Chris!" the man said, sagging against the door. It was Barry.

"Barry! Your all right!" Chris said, happily going over to him.

"Yeah. It wasn't easy, but I managed to get here." Barry said.

"Where did you go after you separated from us?" Bec asks as she gets over to them.

"When I realized I had gotten lost, I had no choice but to play hide and seek with the monsters in the forest." he explains.

'Oh, Barry.' Bec thinks sadly. She knows he's lying, he is under the control of Wesker at this time. Wesker told Barry he had his family and threated to have them killed if he didn't help him.

'I wish I could tell him that Wesker lied.' but she knew he wouldn't believe her.

"What's up with this place?" Barry asks, looking over the hall, getting off the door.

"Not sure, but it definitely isn't normal. We found Kenneth, killed by a zombie." Chris tells him.

"We? You took a civilian into unknown territory? Chris.." Barry said, disappointed.

"She wanted to go with me. Wesker said it was ok." Chris said, defending himself.

Chris didn't notice, but Bec could see just a tiny flinch go across Barry's face, as Chris mentioned Wesker.

"I disagree with this, but fine. Where is Wesker? Jill?" Barry asks.

"Don't know. When we got back after checking over Kenneth's body, they were gone. The radio isn't working for some reason." Chris said.

"I see, by the way, who are you?" Barry asks Bec.

"I'm Rebecca Venganza, but please call me Bec." Bec answers his question.

"My name is Barry Burton. I wish we had met under better circumstances. Did you find anyone else on Bravo team?" he then asks.

"Not yet, we're about to explore the east side of this place thanks to a key we've found." Chris said.

"Then I'll check out the west side, maybe I'll run into one of the others there. Oh! Here." he said, giving them some extra ammo.

"Keep her safe Chris, as well as yourself." Barry said, going over to the doors on the west side.

"Stay safe Barry!" Chris calls after him. The doors shut, leaving them alone.

"To the art room." Bec said. They reenter the art room and Bec uses the sword key to unlock the door. They head in into an 'L' shaped hallway.

As they were walking, Bec stops by a cabinet and starts pushing. "Now, what are you doing?" Chris asks. He had stopped walking and was watching her.

"I think I saw something." Bec grunts out as she pushes the cabinet. Two daggers are then revealed, which Chris takes. Then they hear a noise.

Both of them look and realize it came from the window. 'Shit! The dogs are gonna come in!' Bec realizes what is going on.

"Chris, let's run!" Bec shouts.

"Let's go!" he yells and they run down the hall. They hear glass breaking behind them but don't turn around. They open the door and slam it shut before the dogs came in.

They breath heavily. "That was too close." Chris said, panting.

Bec recovers her breath, "We can't go that way again unless we have to." she said.

"Yeah, let's check out the door on the right." Chris said, recovered.

They try it, but of course it's locked. "This lock is a simple one. Too bad Jill's not with us." Chris said.

"Weren't you taught how to lockpick?" Bec asked.

"Yeah, Wesker had us go through it a couple times a year, but I'm not very good at it. I can take up to fifteen minutes, just to unlock something. Not to mention, I don't have a lockpick." he said.

They try the next door and it opens to reveal a bathroom, with a tub of dirty water. "Need to use the toilet?" Chris asks.

"Thankfully, no." Bec said. She would rather not use that unless it was absolutely necessary.

"Chris.. There might be something in the tub." Bec said, reaching for the chain.

"If you're sure." Chris said. 'She seems to have great intuition.. though some thing seems odd about her.'

As Bec pulls the plug free, hands shot up from the water. "Shit!" Chris grabs Bec, pulling her away from the tub.

The zombie stands up, stumbling forward. It trips and falls to the tile floor, where it then grabs Chris by the ankle. Chris shakes himself free and stomps on it's head, killing it.

"The tub must've drained by now." Bec said. She was shaking and Chris takes notice, but remains quiet.

She looks it over and finds one old key. "This key might fit in that door we've just tried." Bec said, going over to the toilet area.

She brings toilet paper and picks up the key with it. "Let's try it." Chris said and they leave the room.

Bec uses the key on the door leading outside and it unlocks, but it in turn breaks. 'Crap. That would've have been helpful, if it remained whole.' Bec thinks, tossing the broken key.

"Chris, this door should take us outside, according to the map, but what if there's monsters?" she asks. They have to be prepared.

"I'll cover you." Chris said, readying his gun.

They head out and see two Cerberus dogs prowling. Chris points his weapon at them, but doesn't shoot, they were on the other side of the fence.

Bec grabs the herbs and makes them into powder, combining a red and green one while she was at it. She then places the herbicide in her bag before picking up the gas can.

"I got everything." Bec said to Chris.

"Let's go then." he said. They get inside as one of the dogs jumps over the fence.

They continue down the winding hall, hearing groans from the windows, but they ignore them. They find a single door on the left and double doors on the right.

'The left door is useless right now.' Bec knew that they needed the broken shotgun in order to get the workable one.

"Let's check out the left door." Chris said. He goes over to open it.

"I think we should go right instead." Bec said.

"We will, if this door is locked." Chris said. It wasn't locked and he heads in, with Bec reluctantly following him.

There was nothing in the marble room, so they entered through the next door, into a living room. Chris sees the shotgun mounted on the wall and goes over to take it, when Bec places her hand on his arm.

"Don't, it's too easy." Bec said.

"We've got monsters inside this place. We need this." Chris said, once more trying to get over to it, when Bec squeezes his arm.

"Chris.. that room we we're just in.. it might be connected with the mount. Let's just try this again later." Bec pleads with him.

'I know Barry is inside, but I can't take the chance that he might not be there to help us.' Bec thinks.

Chris stares at her. He shrugs off her hand, goes back to the door and opens it. He looks around before staring at the ceiling.

".. The only thing I can see, that would be a threat, is the ceiling, but this ain't a horror movie." he said, looking back at her.

"So we didn't need the sword key to get this far?" Bec asks.

Chris is silent. ".. Fine, but we'll have to come back." he said, unhappily.

Bec is relieved, she grabs the daggers on the coffee table, before going over to Chris and they leave for the winding hall.

Back in the hall, they go through the double doors and find themselves in a dark corridor. They hear a moan coming from the corner.

Chris says, "I'll take care of it."

Chris goes over to the corner and blows the head off the zombie. He sees the door, near where the zombie had been hiding, and sees that it goes outside. He then checks out the armor door and emblem door but both of them were locked.

"Ok, we'll try this door on the right first. We'll have to come back to these other doors later." Chris said.

"Fine." Bec said. They head through the door and arrive at the east room stairway. They see a body on the ground, not taking any chances, Chris shoots at it's head and it's no longer a threat.

They hear a moan and see a zombie on the stairs. Both Bec and Chris shoot at it until it falls.

"Your not a bad shot." Chris remarks.

"Thanks." Bec said turning around to look where they came. Chris flows her sight and sees what Bec sees.

"Great, that doorknob looks ready to go." Chris said upon seeing it's sorry state.

"We can't use this way unless we have to.. Is there anybody on the team that knows how to fix this?" Bec asks.

"Wesker, Barry, and Enrico are the only ones I know, that work in stuff like this. Either we find one of them to let them know or they will find it." Chris said.

They then head to a door, that connects to the store room. They look around, Bec drops the gas can that she lugged around since the boiler, beside the one in here. 'Now we can use this as much as we want.'

Chris finds another old key, while Bec gets the fuel canteen and a piece of paper. She waves Chris over and they read.

Special instructions when disposing of dead bodies.

We have new information regarding those "beings". They may appear to be dead but in fact they are able to come back to life. However, there are ways to prevent them from becoming active again.

Currently there are two known methods to cease their resurrection.

1. INCINERATION

2. DESTRUCTION OF THE HEAD

If further methods are discovered, they will be notified immediately.

Meanwhile to those of you who still have the will to live, oil has been placed on the first floor of the mansion. Take as much as you need.

You'll need something to light it with, which you'll need to find by yourself.

"Ok, so they'll come back again? What the hell were these people doing?" Chris asks aloud.

"We'll have to find out. I'll fill up this canteen, then with what zombies we haven't decapitated, we'll set them on fire." Bec said.

"Sounds like a plan. Get to it and we'll go upstairs." Chris said.

As Bec was filling the canteen, Chris thinks about Bec. 'She has a good head on her shoulders. Knows how to read situations. Has combat skills. Not to mention, she's gorgeous. Though.. she does seem to be odd about certain things. Like the living room where the shotgun is... She seem to be pretty sure that the mount and marble room are connected and that the ceiling would drop... Would the doors in that room would be useless?' Chris thinks about what Bec said about the sword key 'Maybe.'

Bec fills the canteen and they leave the room. They head up the stairs, and they set the body on fire, before heading to the right. They check out the door in front of them, but it couldn't be opened. "There's no door knob." Chris said.

Heading left they open the door leading to the c corridor. A zombie is nearby and they shoot at it, before incinerating it. Bec grabs a wooden mount.

"What are you going to do with that?" Chris asks.

"It will be useful." she said.

They decide to head into the nearby door and find themselves in a small library. They look it over, with Bec finding the dog whistle and memo. "Chris!" Bec calls and he comes over with a couple of hand mags he found.

Today, Sir Spencer told me to hide something where no one could find it.

Well, I had this idea. I figured if I could somehow have it protected by a dangerous animal like the vicious canine that lives here, no one would be able to get near it!

As far as I can tell, the mutt is always hanging around the second floor balcony on the west side of the terrace, and he ought to come running at the sound of a dog whistle.

This is where you come in. The thing is, I reckon you're the only person that can get near that damn dog without risking a serious mauling.

Which means only you can put this collar on him. The object that Sir Spencer wants hidden is concealed inside.

You're the only person I can trust with this. Of course, you'll get something out of it as well. Remember that certain item that you've always wanted to get hold of?

Well, in exchange for your services, I just might be able to get it for you. This could work out well for both of us...

Jon Toleman

"Ok, so we need to find this dog and get whatever that important item is... Spencer.." Chris trails off, after reading it. 'I know I've heard the name Spencer somewhere.' Chris tries to remember where he heard it.

"Isn't that the name of the main founder of Umbrella?" Bec asks.

"So that's where I heard that name before.. What would he be doing here?" Chris asks.

"He is a wealthy man. Maybe this mansion is his." Bec said.

"That would make sense.. Then is he involved with what's going on?" Chris said.

"Well, if he is, then we'll find proof." Bec said, determinedly. 'He and Umbrella need to be taken down.' Bec may not like the fact that she is here again, but she was not going to stand by and do nothing.

Bec goes over to the main desk and grabs a book. It was about botany.

-Uses of Medicinal Herbs-

It is a well-known fact that there exist many plants that are credited with medicinal healing powers. Since ancient times, mankind has been healing wounds and diseases using various plants.

In this book, we will sample three herbs that are native of the Arklay Mountains and briefly outline each of their medicinal qualities. Each herb has a distinct color and a distinct medicinal quality.

The green herb recovers physical strength. The blue herb neutralizes natural toxins. However, the red herb has no real effect by itself. We have found that mixing green and red herbs results in a magnified effect.

We will outline the effects of red herbs when mixed with other herbs when we have more data. Meanwhile feel free to experiment on your own, for true knowledge is best acquired through own experience.

"I know this. I'll save it." Bec said, after reading it.

"What's that book about?" Chris asks. Bec puts the book in her bag.

"Botany. The three herbs that are found here in the Arklay mountains and how they work." Bec said, putting her backpack on.

"Let's go out this door." Bec said, she headed over to the door leading to the stairway.

"Why?" Chris asks.

"I want to see what's at the other end of the hall." Bec said, opening the door. Chris follows her back into the stairway.

Bec is in the mansion along with Chris.
