Chapter 19
Screens across the nine regions flickered to life, their static replaced by the resolute image of Adam, the King of the Sevestar Region. Dressed in his royal armor with a calm yet commanding presence, he stared into the camera. The weight of the world's devastation was etched into his expression, but his eyes burned with determination.
Citizens of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea paused to watch, their faces a mix of exhaustion, fear, and curiosity. The silence that followed was heavy, the enormity of the moment sinking into the hearts of those who survived the Rumbling.
Adam's voice was steady, resonating with authority yet tinged with a deep sorrow. "People of the world, I come to you not as a king, but as a father… as a man who has seen firsthand the devastation that hatred and fear can bring."
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle. "The aura users—those you have been told to fear and hate—wish for nothing more than to live in peace. They do not seek war. They do not seek destruction. It is not they who have manipulated the world into chaos. It is those in power—those who spread lies and propaganda to fuel hatred—who are the true devils."
Gasps rippled through the watching crowds, murmurs breaking out as Adam continued.
"My son, Ash Ketchum, never wished for this devastation. The Rumbling was not meant to destroy; it was meant to free. To break the chains that enslaved so many under the guise of order and control. But…" Adam's voice faltered for a moment before regaining its strength. "But the actions of a few—the assassination attempt by humans—robbed him of that control. The resulting devastation… the loss of life… weighs heavily on us all."
The camera panned slightly, showing a solemn image of the destruction left behind: cities reduced to rubble, survivors clinging to each other, and Pokémon standing silently beside their trainers.
Adam's voice softened. "Ash is not a monster. He is a boy who has given everything to protect this world, even as it turned against him. And now, he lies broken, his body and soul shattered by the burden he has carried for all of us."
Adam's gaze sharpened, his tone firm. "But this is not the end. I stand before you now to say that we do not wish to fight anymore. We do not wish for more bloodshed. What we seek is peace—a chance to rebuild a world where no one is chained by fear, hatred, or oppression."
The screens showed images of former champions—Cynthia, Steven, Alder, Diantha, and Lance—standing in their regions, their expressions resolute. Each of them bore the mark of an aura user, a glowing symbol on their bodies that represented their connection to this power.
"These champions, now aura users, will return to their regions," Adam continued. "They will lead the efforts to rebuild, to restore hope, and to create a better future for all. They understand the weight of this task, and they will give their all to see it through."
Adam's voice carried a note of hope as he concluded. "The past has been filled with pain, with loss, and with betrayal. But it does not have to define us. Together, we can build a world where aura users and non-aura users can coexist without fear. A world where no one is hunted for being different. I ask for your patience, your understanding, and your courage to embrace this chance for change."
The screen faded back to Adam's solemn face. "This is not the end. It is the beginning of a new chapter. One we can only write together."
The broadcast ended, leaving the world in a stunned silence. For the first time since the Rumbling began, there was a glimmer of hope—a fragile, uncertain hope, but hope nonetheless.
As the broadcast ended, the screen faded to black, leaving only the dim glow of the room's monitors. Adam exhaled deeply, running a hand through his hair. The weight of his words lingered, but the burden of what lay ahead was even heavier.
Tobias stood beside him, his arms crossed. "The message is out," he said simply, his voice steady but subdued. "Now we wait… and hope it works."
Adam turned to him, his brow furrowed. "Hope isn't enough. We need action. First, we need to find Ash and check on his condition. I want to know how far this Violet Depression has progressed."
Tobias nodded curtly. "I'll arrange for—"
The doors to the room burst open with a loud crash, startling both men. Minami rushed in, her face pale with panic and her voice trembling with urgency. "Father! Ash and Lillie… they're gone!"
Adam's eyes widened, and he turned to her sharply. "What do you mean they're gone?"
Minami's hands clenched at her sides as she struggled to catch her breath. "They're missing! I went to Ash's room, and it was empty! Lillie's gone too. And… the Infinity Gems. They're gone as well."
Tobias's expression darkened as the implications hit him. "The Infinity Gems?" he repeated, his tone heavy with alarm. "All of them?"
Minami nodded frantically. "Every single one. Someone—or something—took them, and Ash and Lillie are nowhere to be found!"
Adam stood frozen for a moment before his voice cut through the panic. "Sound the alarm. Notify the other leaders immediately. I want every corner of the region searched."
Tobias pulled out his communicator, already issuing commands to mobilize the security teams. "We'll need to alert the champions in the other regions as well," he said grimly. "If the Infinity Gems are in play, this isn't just about Ash or Lillie anymore. This could destabilize everything."
Adam's jaw tightened as he turned back to Minami. "Do you have any leads? Anything unusual before they disappeared?"
Minami shook her head, her eyes glistening with worry. "No. Nothing. It was like they vanished into thin air."
Within moments, the castle was alive with activity. Leaders from across the regions began receiving frantic calls, their faces appearing on large screens as Adam and Tobias explained the situation. Mark, Insey, Trenor, and other key allies gathered in the room, their expressions a mixture of shock and urgency.
"We can't afford to waste time," Adam said, his voice firm. "If Ash and Lillie left of their own accord, there's a reason. But if they were taken…" He didn't finish the thought, but the weight of it hung heavily in the air.
Tobias closed his communicator with a sharp motion. "The champions are being briefed. Teams are already mobilizing to search the Sevestar Region and beyond."
Minami stepped forward, her fists clenched. "We have to find them. Ash can't handle this alone, not in his condition. And if someone else has the Infinity Gems…"
Adam placed a hand on her shoulder, his eyes steely. "We'll find them, Minami. Whatever it takes."
As the leaders prepared to leave, the ground trembled beneath their feet. A blinding beam of multicolored light shot into the sky, illuminating the horizon with an ethereal glow. Gasps filled the room as they turned to see the source of the phenomenon.
Adam's expression tightened as he stepped forward, his voice sharp. "That light… it's coming from Pixetty City."
Tobias nodded grimly. "The stairway to the Hall of Origin. That can't be a coincidence."
"We're heading there," Adam declared, his tone leaving no room for argument. "If that's where Ash and Lillie are, we need to know what's happening."
The group sprang into action, summoning their fastest Pokémon and preparing for the journey to Pixetty City.
A Few Hours Earlier: Pixetty City
The tranquil air of Pixetty City was broken by the soft sound of footsteps. Lillie carried Ash on her back, his weakened body heavier than she expected but no burden in her eyes. Her resolve burned brighter than ever as she approached the grand staircase that spiraled toward the heavens. The Stairway to the Hall of Origin shimmered faintly, as if aware of their arrival.
As they reached the base of the stairs, Lillie stopped to catch her breath, adjusting Ash's position on her back. "Almost there, Ash," she whispered, her voice trembling but determined. "I promised I'd save you, and I will."
With a final deep breath, she began the ascent. The climb was grueling, each step testing her strength and will. But the thought of Ash—her anchor, her inspiration—kept her moving.
At the top of the staircase, the ethereal Hall of Origin awaited. The space was vast, its marble floor gleaming with divine light. Arceus's form loomed above them, radiant and commanding, its presence filling the hall with a calm yet overwhelming power.
"Lillie," Arceus spoke, its voice resonating in her mind. "Place him on the floor. The time has come."
Lillie nodded, carefully lowering Ash onto the cool marble. He remained unconscious, his pale face framed by the faint glow of his aura. She arranged him gently before stepping back.
Arceus's golden eyes glimmered. "The Infinity Gems. Place them around him."
Lillie reached into the bag she had carried, pulling out the 18 radiant stones. Each pulsed with its own unique energy, representing the elemental forces of the Pokémon world. One by one, she placed them in a circle around Ash, their light growing brighter with every addition.
When the final gem was set, the circle emitted a soft hum, resonating with the energy of the Hall of Origin. Lillie stepped back, her hands trembling as she lay down beside Ash, her eyes locked on Arceus.
"I'm ready," she said softly, her voice steady despite the weight of the moment. She reached out, her fingers brushing against Ash's hand. "Please, Arceus. Start the process. Save him."
Arceus's form glowed brighter, its divine power swelling within the hall. "Lillie, this path is not without risk. The Infinity Gems draw upon the forces of nature, and their power will test your strength and your bond with Ash. Are you prepared to face the consequences?"
Lillie's grip on Ash's hand tightened, her emerald eyes blazing with determination. "I don't care about the risks. Ash has done so much for all of us. He's the reason I've come this far. I'll do whatever it takes to save him."
Arceus inclined its head. "So be it. The process begins now."
A surge of energy erupted from the Infinity Gems, their light merging into a kaleidoscope of colors that engulfed the hall. Ash's body began to glow faintly, his aura flickering as if responding to the gems' power. Lillie closed her eyes, bracing herself as the divine energy enveloped them both.
As the kaleidoscope of energy continued to swirl around the hall, Pikachu stirred from its spot by Ash's pillow. The small Pokémon's ears twitched, its sharp eyes noticing Lillie's trembling form as she closed her eyes. It scurried to her side, placing a gentle paw on her arm.
"Pika…" it squeaked softly, its voice tinged with worry. Pikachu turned its gaze toward Arceus, its usual confident demeanor replaced by fear for Lillie. "Pikachu-pi?" it asked, its tone pleading.
Arceus's golden eyes shifted toward Pikachu, its voice calm yet firm. "Her fate rests on her resolve. The process of activating the Infinity Gems and channeling their power is not without risk."
Pikachu's ears drooped, and it glanced back at Lillie, who lay motionless beside Ash, her face serene yet pale.
"Do not despair, Pikachu," Arceus continued. "If her will is strong enough—if her heart truly desires to bring Ash back—she will endure. But she must hold steadfast, for the path is fraught with challenges."
Pikachu hesitated before nodding, its small body trembling as it curled up beside Lillie. Its bright red cheeks sparked faintly as if ready to protect her if necessary.
"Pika…" it whispered softly, its eyes closing as it stayed close to its trainer and his companion, determined to keep them safe.
Here is a new chapter, and Lillie has started to begin the process of saving Ash from the Violet Depression. I hope you like this chpater.
