Chapter 7
Rias glared at Walburga, as she was being held hostage by her.
Walburga walked around the open terrain, her eyes shifting to different areas to make sure that she had what she needed.
"Okay, so Exorcists…check, magicians, check. Powers at the ready, check. Holy flames, ready, check. Enemies to fight against Kazuto…and a way to stop Augusta-sama…check…"
Rias, who was in a circle of holy flames, felt ill as she could feel the holy power surrounding her entire being. Along with Walburga being there, she didn't want to have to deal with her, but she also wanted Kazuto and the others to be safe.
"If you think this is going to work, luring him here…Kazuto isn't stupid. He knows this will be a trap for him."
Walburga fired a smirk towards the young woman.
"Ooh I'm sure he will. But you're here, aren't you? I think with that threat in his mind, he's going to come to you, and when he does, he's going to bathe in holy flames! You'll watch as the precious Sekiryuutei burns!"
Rias felt her face falling.
She didn't want Kazuto to be killed by Walburga...
Meanwhile, once they had all gathered together, Kazuto, Asia, Akeno, Yumi, Koneko, Augusta, Ravel, and a somewhat hidden Gasper behind Kazuto all faced one another, discussing what had happened.
"Okay, it seems that Freed was a little too willing to reveal where she is." Augusta said with a sigh. "Its clearly a trap, Kazuto."
Kazuto agreed. "We know it, and she knows it. And if we don't go, then Buchou dies, and if we go, we'll be involved in her trap. However, that doesn't mean we can't turn that around on her, we were ready for this Grams, its time to use this to our advantage as well."
Augusta wore an uneasy face, while Akeno chimed in. "I've spoken to Sona-sama, and she's agreed to keep the area locked within a barrier. So, we are going to go and save Buchou."
Kazuto nods his head. "That's good, I'll have to thank Kaichou later."
Koneko looked on in concern. "…Augusta-sama brings up a good point Senpai, what are we going to do? It is going to be a trap. She will be ready for us, and we don't know what this Walburga wants with you Senpai."
Kazuto hums, and thinks about what it is that they'll be doing.
As he was, he looked between them all, and then to his grandmother.
"Grams…its time to do the spell. Is it ready?"
Augusta nods. "Indeed, its ready for use. Though the situation has changed a bit, to think she'd target Rias Gremory."
"Can that also be done from a distance? I wouldn't want her to try and get you while I'm keeping her on her toes, I know you've got to concentrate on the spell itself."
Akeno grins. "I think that's possible."
Kazuto nods. "Then we'll go for the enemies until that is pulled off. She'll have allies on her side for sure, but we do as well."
"You're right dear. But I'd have to set up a little bit if I'm to do it from a longer distance beforehand. In the meantime, she's going to use all she has to break away from you Kazuto. She could even burn you to death."
"Its the best chance we have, Grams. She'll have plans for you, she knows that between you, you're probably even stronger than she is, so she'd have some kind of counter to you. But me, she'll think that I'm not as strong as I can be, but if I awaken…then I could stop her. Tell me Grams, have you heard of any allies she may have?"
"I'm not sure you'd call them allies, but she'd have some people on her side. Probably some creatures like chimeras, and other things."
Kazuto inclines, and goes into deep thought.
"Then we can also add the fact that we have Kaichou on our side, with her and her team…maybe we could make it seem like Grams is outside setting up the barrier…and then she'd be shocked when Grams unlocks my memories. She also has her Balance Breaker, right?" Augusta nods. "If she uses it, it could get dangerous, but she whips that out, it can act on its own as its an Avatar type, right Grams?" She nods again. "Right, then here's the plans..."
Ravel could see the intelligence in his eyes, and how he was thinking ahead, and she thought his plan to trick Walburga with Sona and the others was a good idea, she could see it working.
It was an idea that Augusta could see working a good deal.
"It seems you're sure, if this is what you want Kazuto…you're determined, and you're right, with her Balance Breaker, she could become dangerous, so we should work together in this, and she's banking on you not being ready to fight like you could before."
Kazuto slams his hands together. "Then lets do this. The quicker the better. Buchou is going to be trapped, we have to make sure she gets out. Asia-san, can I ask that you heal Buchou when we free her should she be injured?"
"Yes, leave it to me!"
"Thank you. Ravel-san, can I ask-"
"Wait." Ravel paused them, and then continued. "I, also have an idea." Ravel exhaled. "She's a witch also has these holy flames, I've been thinking of how to stop them, even a little bit should they touch you, I've seen how she uses them, and believe it might work."
Kazuto smiled kindly at the young girl. "Thanks, we could use all the help we can get, Ravel-san."
Ravel adopts a small smile. "Naturally, I wish to help, after what she tried to do to me, and Rias-sama."
"Yeah, she needs to be stopped. And I need you to stay with Asia-san, okay? If our healers taken out, then we will be weakened as a group."
"Yes, leave it to me." Ravel nods.
Kazuto claps his hands together, pointing to Gasper. "Gasper-san, I know it worries you being out, but could you do me a huge favour?"
Gasper looks into his eyes, seeing a kind radiance that was being aimed back at the Vampire.
"Y-Yes, Senpai…?"
"Could you guard my Grams for me? I've been told you're good with magic, and Grams could be shielded by you." Kazuto bent down to Gasper's level, his hand kindly petting the Vampire's head. "Don't worry, I know you can't control your powers the best…but I spoke with Grams before, she knows how to keep it under control for a time, so I need your help. Can I count on you Gasper-san?"
Akeno looked prideful of Kazuto being able to project courage to Gasper.
To give Gasper encouragement, and knew of the reasons why Gasper was sealed. It would be unsafe to bring Gasper onto the actual battlefield right now, but with his grandmother, who had great magical ability, he thought she'd be able to help Gasper control Forbidden Balor View should it be needed, and to hear the words 'Can I count on you Gasper-san?' Akeno could see it meant the world to the young Vampire that Kazuto believed in Gasper.
Gasper saw his compassion, and adopts a shy look, but also a determined look as well. "S-Senpai…I-I'll try my beeeeest!"
"Thank you, Gasper-san. Leave the rest to us." Kazuto's thankful words came out, encouraging the Vampire, then he turned to Akeno. "Akeno-san, you, me, and Yumi-chan are going to be the fighting force."
"Right, leave it with us~" Akeno sings out.
"Thank you." Kazuto looked to Koneko. "Koneko-chan, can I ask you do the same as Ravel-san and guard Asia-san? As the healer, she'll be the most targeted member I'd wager, taking her out would be their priority."
"Yes, Senpai."
Kazuto gave a thankful nod. "Next, Yumi-chan. Once we free Buchou, depending on her injuries, I need you to deliver her to Asia-san for healing."
"Yes, I understand." Yumi said with a strong nod of her head.
Kazuto thankfully nods, and turns to Akeno. "Which means, you and me Akeno-san, we're going to gun for this witch, and unleash our might upon her once we free Buchou."
"Fufu, Kazuto-kun. I'm really liking this side of you."
Kazuto lifts a brow curiously, then chuckles lightly. "I'm glad you do Akeno-san."
Akeno nods, fumbling with her lower lip in a sweet delighted manner. "I can't wait to see where this goes, fufu."
"Yeah…now, lets do this together, and take this witch out. She might have plans, but we've also got plans. She thinks she can take Buchou, she's gonna have to think again! Lets give this witch hell!"
[Yeah!]
They all cheered, being rallied by Kazuto's words, and all began to get ready to head out.
Before they headed out, Kazuto went to get ready as did the others. Once confirming that Rias was still alive, they were able to have a little moment to prepare.
In the midst of Kazuto preparing, he saw Koneko come into the room, and looked quietly at him.
"You alright, Koneko-chan?"
Koneko nods her head, approaching him slowly.
When getting before him, their eyes met one another's, and Kazuto felt like Koneko had something she wished to say.
So he began to ask her directly.
"Koneko-chan, are you worried about something? If its Buchou, I promise that I'm going to do my absolute best in making sure that she returns as safely as she can. And I'll do my best to protect you all as well."
Koneko widened her eyes for a few moments.
But then she did something that surprised him, her hand reached out for his own, and gently took said hand.
"Senpai…can I tell you something?"
"Of course you can, what is it?"
Koneko breathed through her nose. "I told you a story about a girl being saved by a mysterious boy. That story, was my story, and you, were that mystery boy."
Kazuto recalled her story, how she had been saved by someone, him, and seeing her eyes, he could see it was something hard to talk about.
But she was determined, so he listened to her words.
"Back then…I was in a difficult situation. But Senpai, your hand reached out to mine, and you saved me from being killed."
Kazuto lightly smiled to himself. "I'm glad that I could help you."
Koneko nods. "One of your last acts before you were taken away…was to make sure I lived a good life. Its why I asked you that Senpai, do you remember?"
Kazuto did remember her asking that just before all of this began happening.
"Yeah, I remember." Kazuto gently smiled. "We'll be going soon, Koneko-chan. Before we go, I just want to say…thank you for trusting in me."
"I trust you Senpai, with my life."
Kazuto lightly smiled. "Lets do our best, and get Buchou back."
Koneko nods.
Her face lifts into a tiny smile.
That tiny smile, caused Kazuto's heart to dance in his chest by how cute it was.
"Senpai, my life is good again, now that you're back in it. I, didn't know if you wanted to become involved again, I even said to Buchou we should leave you alone. I remember seeing Senpai's life being difficult, so many people wanted to kill you for simply existing, and I didn't want you to have to go through bad things in your life again...maybe now I think, it was inevitable that you'd be involved again...but, I wanted to do what you did for me, and give Senpai a good life too."
Kazuto could understand that, and was glad to hear Koneko was trying her best to make sure he lived a normal life, even though it would make her disheartened they'd not be able to speak candidly with one another.
"You've got a kind heart Koneko-chan. Don't ever worry about me becoming involved, and hey, after today, I'll hopefully have my memories back, so we have a lot to catch up on." Koneko's misty eyes flicker. "So lets go and save Buchou. I guess we've got a lot of things to talk about after all this is done."
Koneko liked that idea very much.
She held trust in her Senpai right now.
Even without his memories, Koneko could see he was still as determined as he was in the past, and he was going to do his best, so she would follow him, no matter what.
When they arrived on the battlefield, Kazuto saw Sona, a cute girl with black hair which framed her face, and glasses stood together with her peerage a small distance away, so he walked towards her, and bowed his head in a kind manner.
"I guess this is the first time that we've really interacted since I knew that I was part Devil. But thank you for the assistance Kaichou."
Sona nods her head. "Rias is my friend, and it seems you've got some interesting ideas. My peerage and I are going to keep everyone inside, to the best of our ability to keep the enemies inside, we'll leave the destruction to your group, lead the Gremory group well, Kazuto-san."
Kazuto gives her a thankful nod. "Thank you. Even if that witch burns me, we'll save Buchou."
Sona nods strongly. "Good determination, I'll leave her to you. Be careful in how you move inside of this barrier, my peerage and I have noted that she's got some people around her."
"Right, thank you Kaichou. We'll bring Buchou back. Leave it to us."
Sona could only nod her head, and move forward together with her peerage.
Kazuto then turned to the Gremory group plus Asia and Ravel, and his grandmother.
"Okay everyone, this is it. Lets do our best, and win this. We're going for Buchou, everyone has their roles, and together, I think we can pull this off. If during the fight we need to change tactics, then lets go with the tactics we discussed on the way here, and anything else, we'll adapt as we fight."
[Yes, lets do it!]
Everyone was pumped.
Akeno felt hot, seeing his commanding side, it was really good for Akeno.
Yumi felt heat inside, she was glad to see Kazuto's strength, despite being relatively knew to all of this.
Koneko looks into the eyes of her Senpai, and wondered after he awakened his memories, how things would play out.
Gasper's eyes had a look of adoration for Kazuto's strong side.
Asia could hear the passion inside of Kazuto's voice.
Ravel adopted a small smile, feeling how his words rallied the others to fight.
Then everyone begins moving forward.
It was out of town, and in a wasteland like area, a place where they could release all of their powers if need be.
Thankfully they didn't have to wait long before they found out the location of Rias.
They saw she was surrounded by purple holy flames, and that Walburga was before her.
Walburga looks around as the barrier goes up, adopting a light grin. "The works of Master-sama it seems~"
"Yeah, that's right." Kazuto played along with her.
"Its too bad the old woman can't fight as well as she used to. But, it isn't like she'd be a challenge for me, anyway~ I now wield her Longinus~ She must be so mad that I am the new commander of the purple flames~"
Kazuto chuckled to Walburga's dismay. "I think you're thrilled she isn't fighting right now."
Walburga scowled. "And why would that be?"
"Because I think you're worried she'd be stronger than you, and would kick your ass."
Walburga shrugged. "She could try, but she wouldn't succeed. I know how to deal with humans after all."
"I guess that makes two of us. Also, nice to meet you, Walburga." Kazuto greets.
Walburga giggles like a crazed woman. "Ohohohohoho~ It is good to meet me, isn't it? And its good to meet you like this. Though I already know who you are, it doesn't mean I'm going to be easy on you Sekiryuutei-chan! I'm going to destroy you!"
"If that's what you want to believe is going to happen, I wont stop you." Kazuto retorts, summoning his Boosted Gear. "Now, hand over Rias Gremory-san."
"Or what? Will you let me go if I comply~?"
Kazuto scoffed. "I think we're both smart enough for me to say that would be pretty crazy. So, why not cut to the chase, and give us Buchou back. Afterwards, you can be a good magician and magic yourself to our prisons~"
Akeno loved to hear that he was trying to psyche her out.
Get her angry so she would charge for him, and then she'd be finished off for good.
Walburga's eyebrow twitched, looking angry that she wasn't able to do what she wished for.
So she snaps her fingers, and summons a legion of Stray Exorcists.
"I got these from the Fallen Angels and gave them a little modification along the way, might as well use them for something, right? Since they've been taken care of, its time to go hells blazing!"
"Alright then, lets do this."
[Boost!]
Activating his Sacred Gear, Kazuto felt the wave of power run through him, increasing his energies, and watched the Stray Exorcists coming in towards them all.
So he started off, raising his hand, he summoned a large amount of demonic power. Akeno and the others were taken aback by the levels of energy he was able to summon, and watched as it danced within his hand, firing off in a giant wave of power.
Ripping through the ground, the Exorcists tried to fight it off, but it swept up a good number of Stray Exorcists, and begins breaking down their bodies, while they tried to fight it, but weren't able to do anything until they vanished out of existence.
Walburga's face fell a little as Akeno giggled.
"Ufufu it looks like our Kazuto-kun is stronger than you thought he'd be. Well, lets see how you can handle this."
Akeno raised her power, and her hand shot for the sky.
As she did, lightning danced between her fingers, a thunder cloud forming in the sky, and then she aimed her hand down.
With the harsh sound of thunder ripping right through the area, the lightning smashes through a good few of the enemies, cutting down their number as the ground exploded all around the place Akeno hit her lightning.
"I also can't let Buchou down!"
Yumi took to her sword, and rushed forward.
She used her speed to get in close, parrying the enemies attacks, and then cuts them down. Unlike Freed, these Exorcists didn't have near the amount of power to get near to fighting off Yumi, and she was able to take them down with a swift slash against the enemies bodies.
"Get the healer!"
"Yeah, kill her!"
The Exorcists, seeing that they lost to the might of Kazuto, Akeno and Yumi, turned their eyes on Asia.
They rushed towards her, and tried to swing blades at her.
But Ravel stepped in, her hand igniting in fire. "I have been given a task by Kazuto-sama, so you shall burn!"
Unleashing a flame thrower like attack, Ravel's flames burst forward, and begins to melt the enemies bodies, they screamed loudly, as Ravel's power showed why she was a High Class Devil.
"I'll smash you." At the same time, Koneko saw a few Exorcists coming towards Asia.
So Koneko stepped forward, she used her small fists, colliding with the enemies bodies, and slammed hard into their torso's, propelling them away with incredible strength.
Their light bullets weren't enough to pierce the Rooks defence Koneko had, providing a wall for Asia to be safe behind, and therefore be ready to heal should they need it.
"Tch…to think you'd be able to do all of this, and be able to actually cause me trouble. You are quite troublesome Sekiryuutei-chan. Alright, I get what I have to do now…it seems that I'm going to be kicking some ass huh!? Want to burn Devils!?"
Walburga watched her enemies beating back her allies, so she growls, and releases a fireball towards Kazuto and the others. Purple flames surround her magical fireball, making it even stronger than ever before.
Kazuto takes a step forward, his powers flowing between his fingers. Watching with gritted teeth, Kazuto unleashed his power, and collides it against the enemies own, desperately pushing against one another's in a violent swirl of demonic, holy, and magical powers.
"Even without your memories, you've begun getting a good hang of your demonic power." Walburga admits. "But you're still a Devil, and what's a Devil that faces holy power? A dead Devil!"
Walburga snaps her fingers, and flames of holy burst out, forming crosses, and they begin to surround the young man. They slowly approach his body, and he could feel the power emanating from her body.
[Boost!]
Kazuto received his second power boost, and watched as the holy flames coat her body at the same time as them increasing around Kazuto.
He grimaced at the sight, feeling the heat of the holy flames, he had noticed that normal flames didn't really bother him, but holy powered flames definitely bothered him due to being part Devil, so he exhales and inhales, allowing his demonic power to flow all around him.
Like a dome, his demonic power expands, and grows wilder as the cross flames try to bombard his body. However, Kazuto was able to keep the flames off of his body, but felt the strength of the Witches flames increased wildly.
So Kazuto stamps his feet onto the ground, and shoots himself forward.
He coats his body in demonic power, adding to his incredible strength, and managed to burst out of the fire, receiving light burns across his body from the flames eating away at his demonic power, amazing Walburga he was able to even touch them and not go down.
"You're a monster." Walburga snarled, and flung her hands out.
She released a multitude of magical attacks towards Kazuto, a burst of fire, ice, lightning, light, and darkness all firing towards him.
Kazuto went to take them on, when Akeno appeared beside him, allowing her electricity to flow.
"Ufufu, lets do this together."
Kazuto nods, and puts his hand out, his demonic power, and Akeno's merge together, releasing a torrent of lightning and demonic energy at the same time, the incredible waves of power ripping right through the arena, and covered the size of three houses stacked onto one another, Akeno being amazed by the output of demonic energy he was able to show.
Walburga's magical attacks and their combined attacks collided in a vicious huge explosion that caused the barrier around them to begin shaking. The ground shattering beneath the attacks, and the air visibly shaking as a result of their powers together.
"I need to get close, Grams spell needs me close." Kazuto murmured to Akeno.
Akeno nods. "Whatever you need, we can concentrate on the others, you go for her."
Kazuto nods his head, as a third [Boost!] runs through his Sacred Gear, and into his body. The power flowing endlessly into him, he could feel it growing inside, ready to be unleashed into the world at large.
Walburga laughs at the sight before her, glancing at the contained Rias, who was glaring at Walburga, wishing she could do something against this woman, who she saw as a monster herself, noting the sadistic pleasure she got from inflicting pain and torture onto the enemies around him.
"What's wrong with those eyes girl? Are you angry at me right now? Am I causing your peerage problems? Because I have a lot more in the tank than I've shown so far, including something's that will even shock you."
Rias shook her head sadly, wishing she could do more.
Though Kazuto didn't give up, and he jets himself off towards Walburga, who in turn adopts a small smirk.
"Are you trying to get close to me? Are you trying to deliver a punch to me? I get it. You're thinking that if I'm a magician, I'm weak in close combat. Well, you would be correct. But it doesn't mean you're going to be able to get through to me."
Kazuto saw her raise her hand to the sky, purple flames igniting in her hand, and then she turned her hand to Kazuto.
Quicker than any other enemy he's seen, he saw the purple flames ripping through the area, trying to catch him.
So Kazuto begins dodging out of the way, noting the potency of the flames, and how fast she was able to fire them. He saw that as he dodged, the flames bathed the ground behind him in a dazzling purple, causing the landmass to soon become engulfed in her magnificent purple flames.
Walburga showed dissatisfaction that he was able to dodge her that well, and turned up the heat.
She caused all of her flames to point right towards her enemy, compressing them and then added a few magic's onto it to make them even stronger, hoping to create a large cross of purple flames to try and take him down.
Kazuto also noticed that behind him, the others were keeping the Exorcists occupied, so they couldn't interfere with this battle, mentally thanking them for it, and continued on towards the young woman.
[Boost!] He received his fourth boost.
He could feel his power becoming incredible, he hadn't boosted this high yet, and the power radiating off of him, Rias could feel the waves of power he was exuding right now was causing crazy levels of energy to spiral around him.
Walburga wasn't pleased, and watched her giant flaming cross grow to the size of a skyscraper, Kazuto who was running closer could see the flames were exceedingly strong, so strong in fact that he was sure that an Ultimate Class Devil would die if they were hit with that power.
"You might be good at dodging, and I don't like that you're increasing your power either. If you keep increasing, then it will become super dangerous for me, so I'm going to have to stop that, right noooooooooooooow!"
Walburga threw her hands out, unleashing the giant cross right for Kazuto's body.
It burned the atmosphere around it, the magic's she used only enhanced its deadliness, and he wasn't going to look at this without going his all as well, so his hands cupped together, and he concentrated, getting stronger and stronger with his aura flowing between his fingers.
"Holy flames of Incinerate Anthem. They might burn me, but I'm going to destroy them out of existence!"
Kazuto thrust his hands out, tapping into his Boosted Gears energies that flowed around his body and unleashed a massive wave of power. Rias was astounded to see that Kazuto's power was reading incredible heights, and that Walburga was being surprised.
The demonic power and the giant cross of flames met one another in a blaze of glory, competing for the win against the other. Pushing each other back, the powers soared transcendently into the sky, and the barriers around them was shaking even more.
"You really are a scary guy, aren't you? Well, I'm not about to go down without a fight!" Walburga turned up her powers, and flung her magic spells at the cross.
She caused a giant chain reaction, exploding the powers all around in front of her.
The resulting explosion created a giant shockwave that was able to caused multiple Exorcists in the area to be downed as a result. Akeno placed a barrier around her and the others with Ravel's help, knowing that the shockwave could even bring them into it, hoping that Kazuto was alright in all of this.
When the resulting dust vanished before her eyes, she tried to lock Kazuto down with her eyes.
But she couldn't see him.
She flicked her hand and created a spell to locate his power, knowing that he'd try and sneak attack her or something.
That's when she found him behind her, so she swirled around and stuck out her hand, creating a barrier space, seeing that Kazuto was there, and he was suspended in the barrier so completely stopped.
"How about that you bastard?" Walburga smirked, believing that she had now caught him and won.
But then, she saw Kazuto appear behind her, his fist swinging for her. She tried to use magic to block, and it succeeded to a degree, but his fist still reached her.
She widened her eyes, as he released energy at her.
She used barriers, but the energy slams against her, firing her deep into the ground, blood shooting out of her mouth, heavy injuries appearing all across her body.
Her eyes shift to Kazuto, seeing him readying to fire demonic power at her.
"Y-You tricked me with a simple illusion…and demonic power?!"
Walburga was angry, and felt like her body was dying.
She shakily took out some Phoenix Tears, while unleashing a wave of holy flames all around, forcing Kazuto back, as she healed herself, feeling sick from receiving such a blow, knowing that attack could've finished her if she didn't have her secret healing item.
"I knew learning a bit of illusion magic would come in handy. Always gotta have a trick up your sleeve, if that isn't a saying in the magicians world, then it should be."
[Boost!] With his fifth power boost, Kazuto felt his aura growing thicker, stronger, and was wrapped around him, like a comforting blanket, his aura shooting through his entire system, energizing him to an incredible degree.
"Get away from me!" Walburga roared angrily, her holy flames surrounding her being like an inferno.
It would be difficult touching her, without being burned to a crisp right now, so he used his imagination, and creates waves of energy, slamming towards Walburga, who felt her defenses crumbling, even as she saw her powers increased by her benefactor, she could see that his energy output was at insanely high levels.
She then noticed a magical circle beginning to appear below her body.
"What the...t-this spell, it couldn't be...you're trying to unseal your Longinus! Get away from me!"
She tried to retreat on her magic propelling her, but Kazuto slams his hands out, creating a giant twister of demonic power all around them.
"Its just you and me now Walburga!"
Walburga felt panic growing in her.
She tried to use a spell to stop Augusta's.
But Kazuto launched an aura wave at her, forcing her to fire off her purple flames as a response, smashing deeply into the aura, causing explosions.
But the twister of demonic power remained, trapping her inside, feeling her Longinus's power slowly transferring towards Kazuto to undo his seals.
"No, I wont let you be unsealed! This cant be happening!" She snaps, and coats her entire area in holy flames.
The holy flames were met with demonic power resistance that Kazuto weaved around his form. They pushed and struggled against one another, the incredible raw power that even Walburga was worrying about was being shown before her.
Panic rose in her chest, feeling her Longinus being activated.
"Master-sama?! W-What are you doing right now?! You can't do this to me!" Walburga was outraged.
She felt like this wasn't fair, and that she was going to be losing this fight.
She wouldn't have it, so Walburga whistled. "Come on out!"
Kazuto saw that from the ground, there was something beginning to rise up.
He was confused at first, he didn't know what he was looking at.
But soon it became clear that he was gazing at some creature that possessed nine heads. From its heads, poisons spewed out, the long large necks looked like they would be capable of even mowing down buildings, and their bodies looked really danger.
"H-Hydra!?" Ravel gasps.
Walburga grins. "A little modified, but you're right. Enjoy the Hydra!"
Kazuto grimaced, seeing the giant Hydra's poison spewing out everywhere, looking ready to kill anyone in its path.
He worried for the others, he didn't know how strong this thing was going to be, especially if this is what she was going to be use on Augusta, it could be more than the Occult Research Club could handle, and he didn't want any of them to become hurt, or worse.
But Akeno showed conviction, and called out. "Save Buchou Kazuto-kun, we can fight this being!"
Kazuto locked eyes with Akeno through the twister of demonic energy, who gave an affirming nod.
So he reluctantly had to leave it with her, knowing that his power right now had to stay on the woman before him.
"You aren't going to stop meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Balance Break!"
When she said that, Kazuto saw from behind her, a giant form of what looked like a beast similar to a Dragon, only that it was crucified to a cross. But it was made out of purple holy flames, and looked ready to devour him and the others.
"So, this is a Balance Breaker…" Kazuto could see the power radiating from its body.
It was very clear that if he made a wrong move right now, then all of them could be killed.
The holy flames, plus the Dragon, it was astounding.
"Incinerate Antiphona Calvario!" Walburga announced.
The giant creature let out a roaring sound.
Rias felt disturbed seeing its form before her, she felt like it would be capable of burning them down to the ground.
"I managed to kill this naughty boy, and captured his soul with my Incinerate Anthem. Its a strong Dragon, near Dragon King level. I was hoping for another, but it became unavailable. Even if you use your powers on me, I can still have this boy breathe his flames right onto you. So burn."
It turned its power down onto Kazuto, and its eyes looked deadly.
Along with that, the nine heads of the beast gave a deadly gleam to it, that looked ready to slay at any moment.
Kazuto saw its heads all turn onto him, and unleashed a torrent of holy flames.
"No!" Rias yells, not wanting this to be the end.
Kazuto grimaced, and turned his demonic power onto the incoming flames, battering against its destructive form, but saw that the flames were putting up incredible resistance, and the fact that Walburga released a hailstorm of spells onto him, he could feel the flames of holy getting closer and closer to his body.
Then Walburga snaps her fingers, and many magicians appear.
"Gift me your energies!" Walburga commands.
The magicians comply, and fuel Walburga.
Kazuto's aura pushed through, combatting all of the powers firing at him at the same time.
"Don't resist, let the flames devour you. They can even take out Ultimate Class Devils and you might be strong, but you're not going to be able to keep this up for long. Sorry, but you're going to be finished."
Rias watched with a heavy heart, and couldn't do anything as the holy flames cut off her vision of Kazuto.
She could only see a sea of holy fire bathing the form Kazuto had stood there.
"No, stop it Walburga!"
"Hahahahaha! Watch him die!"
Rias looks to her peerage, seeing their devastation at the same time.
It was very clear that all of them felt the devastation, watching, and unable to see Kazuto's form.
Walburga smirked dangerously.
"Guess that your little grandson wasn't enough for my holy flames Master-sama. Ah well, it doesn't matter. Once he's burned to a crisp, I'm going to harvest his Sacred Gear before it passes on, and then I'll even use his spirit as a replacement for my Balance Breaker, it would be a good trade to have a Devil human of his class, wouldn't it?"
Walburga's laughter grew higher and higher.
She thought she had won, and she didn't care what happened to anyone else.
She was happy enough to have the enemies burn all around her.
However, as she laughed, something began to feel off.
She noticed that despite the flames bathing Kazuto's form, she didn't confirm that he had died.
That's when she saw a light in her holy flames, a bright beautiful glow that radiated around the area magnificently, and emanated from the area that she thought Kazuto's body would be.
She then realized something else.
The magical circle below her feet, had been completed.
But that wasn't what caused her worry.
What did was when she heard a whistling that sent shivers down her spine.
"Walburga~" A charming voice echoed from the sea of holy flames.
"Ooh shit…" Walburga grimaced.
She watched as the holy flames were dispersed with an eruption of power.
The energies swirled all around Kazuto's body, like it was dancing on his form.
He had been burned by the holy flames, blood seeping out of some wounds.
But he stayed on his feet, despite the injuries the holy flames had inflicted, which worried Walburga.
"How did you survive...? Even you should've been burned to death!"
"Gotta thank Ravel-san for that." As he said it, he turned, and waved to Ravel, who looked pleased her idea worked. "She came up with a good idea on how to combat the flames should they touch me and we worked out some countermeasures for the flames. She's a very smart girl, I like her." Kazuto's eyes begin to look around the area, then a small smirk grew on his face. "Ooh yeah, hey Walburga, been a while."
Walburga gasped, taking a step back, as her body shook. "Y-You remember…"
"I remember everything." As he said it, his hand snapped to Rias, and he used a wave of demonic power, unleashing it heavily against the holy flames that imprisoned her, freeing her from her fate of being potentially burned. "Not nice, kidnapping Princess of the Gremory Clan. If you wanted me, all you had to do was ask."
Walburga's hands shook, as the giant Dragon of holy flames howled into the air.
Kazuto in turn glanced at the creature, as more magicians began to appear.
Ten...
Twenty...
More and more appeared, aiming magic attacks at Kazuto.
"Kill him!"
"Don't let him escape!"
"Finish him immediately!"
The magicians release magical attacks against him.
Fire, ice, water, wind, lightning, darkness, light, and explosive magic's all came for the young man's body.
"Magic huh? Hmm, lets see what we can do about that."
Kazuto took in a deep breath, and flames begin to flow from between his lips.
Adopting a smile, Kazuto opened his mouth, unleashing a firestorm of Dragon flames, which scorch the very earth, and heat up the atmosphere.
The magicians yell as they activate defensive magical circles.
"No!"
"The flames are crazy!"
"Get it away!"
But the flames incredible prowess blasts right through them, and washes over them like a giant blanket of fire, burning them until there was nothing left.
Walburga took a step back, her fist clenching.
"I, If you think that's all I have, then think again Sekiryuutei!" Walburga's body shook angrily, and summons magical circles in the air to fight.
Kazuto did the same thing, magical circles formulating around him of different elements. "You want a magic fight huh? Alright, lets see who's magic's stronger, shall we?"
Walburga snarled, and breathes through her nose in ragged breaths.
Rias was amazed to see that Kazuto's demeanour had changed.
Though he hadn't turned into anything unrecognizable.
But the way he held himself, was a little different than before.
It was full of strength, as if he had seen countless battles, always on edge, yet composed at the same time.
"Kazuto…?" Rias called out.
Kazuto smiled towards her. "Hey, Buchou. You okay?"
"Yes, I'm well. So, you remember, everything?"
"I do." Kazuto looked to Walburga, and her Dragon of holy flames. "I see. So that's your Balance Breaker, its an interesting choice."
Walburga clicked her tongue. "If you want to know its flames again..."
"Ooh, I'm sure we'll become better acquainted pretty soon." Kazuto turned his eyes down to his Boosted Gear, and adopts a small sentimental smile. "Its been a long time, my friend."
[Partner, you remember.] Ddraig's happiness conveyed through his voice.
"I do, I remember everything Ddraig. I'm sorry its taken me a little while my old friend. Thank you for remaining beside me, and taking care of me while I couldn't remember."
[Partner…its time to show your strength, as the Sekiryuutei.] Ddraig happily spoke.
"Exactly. This'll be a good introduction to the awakened Sekiryuutei." Kazuto shot a look to Walburga who flinched. "What's wrong Walburga? Its like you've seen a ghost." Walburga growled angrily, as Kazuto exhaled. "Now, lets give our friends a little boost." Kazuto raised his Boosted Gear into the sky, and activated a magic circle around his Boosted Gear arm. "Here you go. Boosted Gear, Gift!"
[Transfer!]
As he released his power, a magic circle appeared on the ground, teleporting the power from Kazuto, to the others without having to touch them physically, astonishing Rias, Akeno, Ravel, Yumi, Koneko, and Asia who all felt their powers increasing.
"How does that feel Buchou?" Kazuto asks.
Rias nods her head, looking at herself with a renewed sense of energy.
"Yes…I feel stronger."
"I'm glad. Now, I'll take Walburga, and her Balance Breaker."
Rias glances at Walburga. "You sure you can take her?"
"Leave her to me, I've got some words Walburga needs to hear."
Rias nods, and looks towards her allies. "Alright, I'll leave her to you, we'll take care of that Hydra. Thanks for the power boost!"
"Not a problem, what're friends for?"
Rias looks amused, glad to see that Kazuto was still quite a cheerful guy, though she could see his battle hardened eyes shining through, wondering to herself how many hard battles he had seen in his young life.
Seeing her target being the giant Hydra, Rias moves towards it, and confronts it with her peerage.
Kazuto looked back, his eyes locking on with Koneko's, and his smile grew into a kind one, one that Koneko remembered from the past, as Kazuto activates a communication circle so only Koneko could hear his voice.
"I'm glad you're safe, Koneko-chan."
Koneko became misty eyed. "Senpai..."
"We'll have chances to talk, after this mess is dealt with."
Koneko nods, rubbing her eyes with the heel of her palm, and came together with the others.
While they were doing that, Kazuto looks towards Augusta, and despite his bleeding body, he wore a grin that unnerved Walburga.
"Ooh yeah, I think my Grams might want to have a word with you."
When he said that, Augusta flashed beside him in a magical circle.
Walburga gasped, while Kazuto and Augusta share a look between them.
"Welcome back, grandson."
"Nice to be back. I'll take flaming Dragon there along with whatever else she summons, I'll leave her to you Grams, since it seems you've got a lot to talk about."
"Ooh yes, please leave her to me. Walburga needs to be taught a good lesson."
Kazuto and Augusta show a dangerous smirk, igniting worry in Walburga's heart.
"You know, I wish Vali-chan was here, Lavinia-chan too...ooh yeah, you don't like Lavinia-chan do you?"
"Don't mention that ice girl around me..." Kazuto became amused by Walburga's annoyed tone. "The Hakuryuukou and Sekiryuutei, if you come together, then you're a scary force...no, I wont lose to you! You've been burned by the flames! The holy powers inside you, and destroying your body as we speak! Even you can't escape it!"
"Indeed, my body does seem to have holy energy in it thanks to the flames, but as I said before, Ravel-san gave me a good idea, and its worked to avoid the worst case scenario, and I can use my demonic power to counteract the holy power. So don't worry about me, I'm raring to go."
Walburga breathed hard through her nose.
She thrust her hands out, and Kazuto saw she brought numerous creatures to the battlefield.
Chimeras, and other beings ready to throw down.
Augusta grins. "Ooh dear, ready to throw down?"
"Yeah, more than ready, Grams." Kazuto agreed.
Seeing grandson and grandmother standing side by side, Walburga was unnerved.
She never expected this scenario.
She thought she had it figured out, she never thought they'd be able to make it this far, she had even received power and yet, she wasn't able to stop the process she wanted to avoid.
With Kazuto's memories now awakened, his fighting knowledge and magical knowledge returned to him, it worried her, but she wasn't going to go down without a fight.
"Lets do this, Grams."
"Yes, lets do it."
Walburga glared while Kazuto and Augusta smiled to one another, happy to be fighting side by side on a battlefield once again.

So this chapter had Kazuto and Koneko sharing a little moment before the battle begins, revealing a bit more of their shared past together. Rias does her best to hold on until Kazuto and the others come. Kazuto rallied the others, and together came to save Rias, Ravel also showing her intelligence by giving Kazuto ideas on how to combat the holy flames. And after trading blows with Walburga, and being burned by holy fire, Kazuto emerges with his full memories, and wastes no time and getting into the heat of battle.
Now Walburga's worried about what's gonna happen as for her the worst case scenario came about.
Thinking about who could replace the Sekiryuutei in Rias's peerage instead of Ingvild, and I got a fun suggestion of Bova being Rias's pawn, and his flames been compared to Tannin's so he should be strong, and I could see Bova who's shown fierce loyalty to Issei in canon, doing the same to Kazuto, and seeing Rias as someone he deeply cares for, would want to protect her as well.
So yeah, it'll either be Ingvild or Bova for Rias's group, and the other in Kazuto's.
